Sunshine and Rainbows edition
>Deck lists, news etc:
>Watch and learn quest
Can anyone answer this? I posted this in the last thread but got only one response.
>friend makes a good control warrior deck
>decide it looks fun and copy it
>challenge friend and win a close match
>friend has gone offline and removes me from his friends list
was I in the wrong? I thought he'd appreciate I respected his deck enough to copy it. He was always a relaxed dude, and I've been playing with him almost daily since July.
>Open up Hearthstone
>Get ready to enter Ranked
>Stare at the screen
>Realize I don't want to VS Secret Paladins
>Sigh and close the window
Almost everyday. I just want to play fun decks but none of my friends play this game.
>New cards are all control oriented
>All actually overpowered as shit, makes naxx release look smalltime
>Ladder is now nothing but Fatigue warrior, Freeze mage, and Control Priest
>People start to wax nostalgic about how the aggro meta wasn't THAT bad
>Games past rank 10 always end in deckouts, last at least 30 mins
>lose the first few battles early game
>cant do shit for the rest of the game
>literally dont even get a chance to attack because everything just dies before my next turn
>play a removal spell to clear his board
>it doesnt even do anything because it used up my mana so my board is still empty and he just drops another minion
FUCK DIS GAME
Is Avenging Wrath a meme card?
Who do I pick? Mystery maymay man?
Oh yis it's that time again, no matter the result at least I can go back to buying classic packs, or maybe I should buy GvG packs?
I just want to go to sleep.
Just got it done thanks to somebody in the thread
Have my favorite male Orc anyways
>over 4k gold saved
>already have all of the cards needed for every top tier meta deck, and the dust to craft any spare epics/legendaries that occasionally shift into the meta
who else here has been playing since beta?
This is punishment for watching dog play with this shit today
Also I didnt bought the packs with gold not money, and I dont like playing this game too much so I dont want to play lots of arena
i know this is dumb to ask but is there a hs simulator somewhere out there like cockatrice is to mtg? i want to experiment with a bunch of different stuff but i cant because the hs dust/crafting system is hilariously slow.
>playing face hunter
>guy portals in a turn 3 earth ele
>smug as hell, you can tell
>i silence it with an owl and continue going face
>i win by smartly maneuvering around all his minions and attacking him directly, forcing him to be unable to use his minions to win and only delay the inevitable
Play a couple of games and see what cards you get that synergise with your team-mate.
Also, if you're priest, prioritise healing the Paladin with your power over yourself. You can get the lightwells down to heal yourself, but it won't heal him.
Also remember that the Argent Protector can only shield his own minions. So use your buff cards to keep his alive, rather than yours.
>>i win by smartly maneuvering around all his minions and attacking him directly
Were we at /facebros/?
In my opinion, it's better to get the older stuff first as you can more easily find out which cards are actually good. Plus, decks are more refined around those cards so your decks will be better.
>build a deck that completely shits on the three decks I hate the most
>pretty much auto-loses against everything else
>feeling just fine about that
But I don't want to get banned or whatever. I have starcraft tied to this account. I've been playing the game 2 months now and haven't opened a single legendary. It's starting to bum me out. If I get 'caught' botting somehow will my entire battlenet account get banned or just hearthstone? I want to get legacy of the void and overwatch so I don't want to jeopardize my account over a game I barely care about.
I just want to try out a few wacky things like mimiron's head or skycap'n kragg.
If I'm not going to be risking my sc account then I'll head over to hearthranger right fucking now.
>mfw running priest with double blood knights and running in to paladins, and happen to get both in mulligan
You only get HS bannaananiriano.
Also blizzard doesn't care plus they get money from botgods
>botgod gets good cards
>Shitter (50%+) is mad he lose
>He now buy deck
>botgod bot plays like shit
>shitter is happy hes winner
>he buy cards because hes happy
game is basically in the same state as last year, zoo dominated the meta and was just as brainless as secret paladin, we got an expansion and a nerf that made everyone cry about the 70% mage matchup on ladder, blizzard never learns
You still will be able to use justicar in CW if memedruid wont work
Pretty hard question, hunters run freezing/exp/bear/snake traps nowdays, just play a lot and it will come to you with experience
>decide to try out hearthstone
>want to have fun
>find out you gotta pay outta your ass to have fun because you get matched against whatever full cancer decks with your basic card deck
I thought this was F2P guys.
guys the only enjoyment I get out of this game is seeing what minion comes out of unstable portal, and that excitement is doubled if it's a legendary that I can play really early.
what should I do?
so yesterday I hooked up with a pal and we tried beating the brawl, took like 3 tries, we won and didn't get a pack
today i do it with a random, he instantly concedes and i got a pack
do you have any idea what kind of money reserves they have, they fucking bought some facebook tier gamecompany for 6 billion dollars the other day
5M-11M wow subscribers * 10 dollars a month * 3-4 years already made them a fortune, now they're selling hats and skins and mounts and pets and whatever the fuck
that company is still booming man
>mfw teching blood knight in secret paladin for the mirror, also run the 1/1 bubblebutt bitches
>Turn 3 BK eats 3 bubbles
>The victory is yours.
If playing with friends got you the pack then people would just takes turns with friends, however they should have turned that off for this brawl, since it's Co-op. However this brawl is also probably why you get a pack for losing, since you can't stop your partner from fucking you over.
>Mfw getting queued with all these literal retards in brawl
>Paladin plays a bunch of spells
>Plays cho afterwards
So this happened yesterday to me.
If you are out there, I love you.
30/30 win against Mechazod.
The end was so sweet but the rest of the battle was true cooperation.
My main complaint is that like the heroics it's just all RNG.
I've had games where Mechazod clocks up, bombs, and saves assassinates for our big guys, and I've had games where he burns all his assassinates in the first few turns.
It's perfectly logical because you've never gotten anything from friendly duels except for Total Domination but that specifically states ALL modes.
Coop just means you aren't fighting your opponent directly is all.
How can this game be made more novice friendly?
I propose instead of having 2 categories of play (ranked and casual), there be 3: An additional category that you can only play when you have under 300 wins, decks restricted to one legendary or less.
Further, losses should generate gold at a slow rate than wins but greater than 0. Every 6 losses, 10 gold? This allows noobs who are getting curbstomped every game to still get new cards
What do you guys think
>decks restricted to one legendary or less.
Oh boy time to play Aggro hunter, still loving this meme that somehow legendaries are broken when every season there is an aggro deck that shits on everything with very few legendaries
rate and improve my shadowburstpriest
thinking of shadowform->SW:D
>How can this game be made more novice friendly?
>opening tgt packs
Why? There is so much good shit from classic and a fair bit from gvg and dick fuck nothing from tgt worth opening.
Just open better packs and craft the minor shit from tgt
also enjoy your anoobarack.
I got it from arena.
I have the feeling I'm playing a lot of bots right now.
>Greetings and Threaten at the start of the match
>Random hovering over cards
>No targeting arrows
Anyone else got similar experiences?
The adventures cost about 3500 gold for everything, right?
This is the second most amount of bots there have ever been I feel.
Back at during the first explosion and shaman sea giant decks bots were incredibly common. After the banwave they got far less so but never went away and they've slowly been getting more and more common since.
I read this compelling argument about why dr. boom isn't overpowered. The gist of it was a 7 mana or higher minion (legendary at that) should create massive tempo swings to justify playing it. It made a lot of sense to me. You take a massive risk when playing 7+ mana minions. I still think boom is still a bit overpowered, but not that much
>is there any free deck anymore that can actually play and win
Yes of course anon, all the decks have the potential to be free
>Is there a free deck that wont cost me a year worth of grinding for hours every day that I can win with as a new player
No. The game is either p2w or waste away trying to catch up.
been sitting like this for 5 minutes, nigga pulled tracking from spellslinger
Is there a necessity for a report button? People would obviously abuse it and thus making it really inefficient. Can´t Blizzard easily identify scripts/othercrap being used on their game?
challenger is a bit more debatable. It potentially gives more value than boom for 1 less mana. The downside is you have to run pally secrets, but even those have decent synergies and aren't terribly cloggy.
>opponent predictably plays a turn 7 dr boom
>spam well played and rope every turn
i hate that fucking card so much. there is no top range card that changes the tempo of the game as much as boom does. it is by far worse than any other paladin or warrior card at all, simply because of the fact that it's neutral
>playing divine favor when most of ladder is aggro
Keep trying m8, you'll find someone who doesn't suck eventually.
>losing a game because my two Auchenais are literally the last two cards in my deck
The fucking worst.
could I get some thoughts/advice on my deck? i pulled a golden sparring partner from my ranked chest after last season so i threw this together and it's been doing really well for me, lots of fun. main thing i'm wondering about is whether it's better to use slam/bash or to put in shield slam and shield block instead.
Boom creates 2 1/1 minions that can potentially do 8 unavoidable damage and don't drain your deck.
Challenger saps your deck of cards, and you're required to run things that are generally considered the worst secrets in the game. They were never used before TCG in any paladin meta decks. The only reason they are getting play is because challenger puts them in play all at once.
Even with all of them in play, you can still play around them. They are absurdly perdictable.
16, now 15, but it's the beginning of the season and I just started climbing again this morning. Honestly considering finding room for unstable ghoul because of all of the memeadins on ladder atm, but I've been destroying all of the hunters, mages, and such. sparring partner is really nice against aggro, not even counting the bolster benefits.
>tfw have Chillmeme but still missing Ysera and the epic taunts
+ 2 Backstab
Why is it so much fun to shit on all these agro decks?
What's your guys favorite hearthstone meme?
>Hearthstone takes skill
Only took me 4 tries
hard to say, i'm still testing it, but it's mostly a minion-based midrange deck which is what i like about it. i end up spending most of every game just trading and killing the opponent's shit and armor'ing up until i either get a relatively powerful board and can outrace them or get to my chrom/nef win cons. even if they flood the board, you've got weapons and strong minions and plenty of taunts, with exe/axe/slam/bash/bite/corrupt, you've got 12 pieces of removal, deathlord is really legit against aggro but i'm considering replacing it with unstable ghoul. deathlord is such a devastating bolster target though for only 1 mana more.
so at the moment i'd probably say no, just because i'd rather take control of the board by playing my own minions. this is more of a midrange deck instead of a control deck.
>Have ladder anxiety.
>Feels like if I queue up I'll get countered.
doesn't really matter because you get 2 cards out of the deal. card draw hasn't really been an issue for me, you have slam, azure, chrom/nef, and weapons are basically like card draw as they often 2-for-1. besides, the deck will often play just 1 card per turn or even have turns early on where you do nothing and just armor up.
What do you roguefriends think about these cards? I think they are currently underused. Shadow-Pan can be a big nig.
desu he's more entertaining than half the other shit heads on twitch. I don't like him that much but I can't see myself caring any more than I already do. If Twitch don't like it they'll bring the hammer down, eventually.
Way too many of the Paladins DONT GET that you need to keep a big buffer of gribblies to absorb rockets
Really need to start friending my partner so I can tell them STOP FUCKING THROWING YOUR RECRUITS AT IT
Ever have one of those kinds of days?
>millhouse my partner
>blessing of might x2,blessing of wisdom, Cho, Kings x2 and then the double attack
>wait why did he drop Cho half way through
>now 9 cards in hand
>he played around milling me
Aww, it's the little things.
Even with a hand of 10 spells (was just before that screenshot), dumping and buffing all his units we were able to hang on and get heals up.
One super unit could have worked, but the strongest unit always seems to be killed.
In constructed they aren't up to snuff.
Undercity Valiant isn't good enough to take any of the 2-drop slots currently in rogue decks, and SI:7 Agent is better to fill out your curve. In arena, it's decent. 2 mana 3/2's aren't bad at all and it's better than a lot of 2 drops later on in the game.
Shadopan Calvary simply doesn't fit in rogue deck at the moment. Tempo Rogue is something Blizzard has tried to make viable for a while, but it's not working. In the best scenario (if you save the coin, which messes up the whole tempo thing) you get a 4 mana 6/7 that silences to a 3/7. Simply not good enough. It'll work on the lower rungs of the ladder, but it's nothing special above that. In arena, it's okay. Better if you get some backstabs, but if you can keep board control it'll maintain it. It's a 'win more' card.
Hope this helps.
They did it a fucking LOT in beta.
They may have done some during classic release, I don't remember
The most recent example was changing undertaker, flare, leeroy and auctioneer.
people like me would still use it a bunch to get used to decks
for instance, I started playing freeze mage 1 month ago and did a good 20 games in casual before hitting the ladder
bear in mind there are millions of players in HS, if everyone is like me casual is never gonna be safe from legend decks
>mfw enemy Druid Well Plays
>Uses Force of Nature
>Doesn't play Savage Roar
That bastard was trying to bait me into conceding!
>mfw set up fireball lethal
>don't actually have fireball, it's ice lance
>point ice lance at face and emote spam
>You win, this time.
>he had lethal on board next turn
- Ancestral Healing
- Gadgetzan Jouster x2
- Garrison Commander
- Nat Pagle
- Mana Tide Totem x1
- Silent Knight
- Doomhammer x1
- Captain Greenskin
+ Totem Golem
+ Whirling Zap-o-matic
+ Piloted Shredder
+ Lightning Storm
+ Fire Elemental
Did you buy anymore of the adventures, then you can add Loatheb and Sludge Belcher.
Until you hear of voidwalker
Okay question, why do I see this card back the most whenever I play the game? What's so special about May 2015
Fuck this stupid secret shit im fucking uninstalling this game I had enough fuck this game and fuck this cancer and fuck the person that made that secret paladin and fuck everyone who is playing it
FUCK OFF THATS IT IM DONE
FUCK WELL MET FUCKING CHRISTMAS TREE SHIT FUCK YOU DIE SLOWLY @!!!!!!
>Losing a children's card game has caused me to become severely injured
Black and red are the classic go-to edgelord colors.
Alright. What kind of Adventure are you faggots hoping for?
Ahn'qiraj is my hope but some Burning Crusader / Outland Adventure seems far more likely so they can promote the fuck out of Legion too.
I have literally spent the entire last 2 days botting and I have come up against 100% fucking paladins. I am fucking SICK of this Divine Shield and buff to 40 attack bullshit running rampant. Even if I assassinate the big shit I get zerged down by massive lightwardens and shit. Blizz really needs to nerf this bullshit.
I don't understand blizzards design philosophy. The release OP cards in each set. At one point only the OP cards from all sets are viable and nobody plays the balanced stuff. Why not just balance everything? Why do cards like piloted shredder, dr. boom exist in this form?
They game would be so much better when the difference between OP card and balanced card is MUCH smaller.
>switching to the newest every season
>random rank 20 cardback
Just because they were boring burgs in vanilla doesn't mean they have to be boring bugs in a Hearthstone expansion.
What are you talking about lad? C'thun is the taunt master
Yeah, I think i'm done. Only arena is relatively fun, but that is such rng-fest too. Only pay2win warrior is a reliable control deck. Nothing but facerush netdecks as far as eye can see.
Hearthstone is built on the memories people have of WoW. No-one gives a flying fuck about AQ. An entire expansion based on it would be a flop, or rather it wouldn't perform nearly as well as another type of xpack.
>not using best cardback at all times
I wish I played forever ago so I could have this beautiful card back.
>No-one gives a flying fuck about AQ
A shit ton of people have AQ as one of their most memorable raids, especially the older generations who don't play anymore that have families and jobs.
And these people are the perfect type of demographic Blizzard wants coming back to the Warcraft universe.
Played arena as paladin. Awesome draft. 3 shielded bots, 3 true silvers, 2 consecrates, the blessing sword.
First opponent is mage and throws out 2 ice ice chuggers in the first two turns.
Pic related - my face when.
What do you think of cards that have a permanent effect on the game.
I opened Varian Wrynn day 1 of TGT and I still haven't played it. In fact warrior is my only class not level 60.
I just hate smug control warrior players.
One of my favorite things to do in Hearthstone is shit on them with a mage deck that has Water Elementals and Spellbender.
>Mulligan into the perfect curve.
>Your opponent left.
I hate this game.
Wanna know whats the best thing about gold Ysera other than the card being gorgeous and beyond a practical budget? Each one of the 5 different dream cards are gold too. It's like getting a whole booster of golds.
Who else has problems with matchmaking? It just keeps on spinning... and if I press on cancel the game crashes
Our lord and savior himself playing Golden Shaman, of course.
Has anyone else been graced by his holiness or am I a prophet?
in;b4 pubbies crying about freeze
Terrible wording. Is it a passive ability - as in my minions always have taunt? Or is it a triggered ability that when I press my hero power, it also gives all currently summoned minions taunt?
>Justicar is good in three heroes
No only two. Cancer Warrior and Kekold Priest, the Paladin one is just a meme.
And it's not "good" it's broken as fuck, they need to nerf that shit to 3 armor and 3 heal
I mean, its self explanatory as in I can intuit what you meant. But cards need to be worded accurately dude. I can pretty much interpret what you intended. It seems like in addition to your normal hero power, your hero power also taunts up all your minions. But you have to be clear.
I can't make full freeze mage deck so I had to drop in some other cards. What cards can better fill role of doomsayer and neet-roller? How freezy is deck overall?
Hey /hsg/, I want to play control warrior but I'm missing: Grommash, Alexstrasza, Harrison, Sylvanas, Baron Geddon, Shield Slam, Brawl, Naxx, and the Hearthstone game. Can you suggest replacements?
>Craft Dragon Warrior.
>Get my shit pushed in by Secret Paladin shitters.
Why is ranked such a shiniest. Can't even play fun decks.
>he makes a strawpoll
>this many votes
why isn't he banned yet?
am trying to make a herfstun plz r8 my dek and how 2 improv. pls no trol
>playing against face hunter as control priest
>he silenced deathlord
>turn 3 second deathlord
>your opponent has left
This is actually a really interesting video if you get the time. He breaks down all the differnt ways to spend gold or money and which is best.
Long story short:
Always re-roll 40 g quests
Spend real money on Adventures
Spend Gold on Arena (even if you dont think you're that good)
I shouldnt have to say it, but this is a game and games are for fun: So ultimately do what is fun. But it's good to know what is "best" as a reference point.
But if you spend all your dust on commons and rares, and spend all your gold on packs: Don't be surprised what you wind up with.
Every time I'm tempted to consider aggro decks the cancer I remind myself of how utterly helpless and shitty you feel when losing to CW and freeze mage. Then I know who's the true cancer.
there are people in this thread who sincerely believe CW with justicar trueheart isn't cancer
>Play CW, fight 3 face hunters in a row
>none of them have killed me by turn 7, so they all leave
Holy shit I'm in tears, this is why I play CW
But is this really what all face hunters are like?
Anon, everytime you post, you will get OC as response.
What should I change in this shitty deck? Should I take out the piloteod sky golem, arcane intellects, and harvest golems because they're too slow? I like having flamecannon foor removal? Also should I add more cogmasters and mana wyrms?
>when did you start playing
July 14th, this year
>what rank you are now
>what rank you finished last season
>highest rank you've ever reached (if legend, specify number)
Midrange hunter, since it's almost the only competitive deck I have
Who else /eternal shitter/ here?
around september of this year
right now face hunter because it is the only deck I can afford and actually do something with. even then I'm missing the cards from the adventure wings
>when a deck of mistcaller and every dragon you own works
I haven't had this much fun in hearthstone in fucking forever. Big guys for days. Bet you regret using your BGH on a fire elemental, huh?
>when did you start playing
>what rank you are now
>what rank you finished last season
Legend rank 2000 or something, didn't bother to climb because no time
>highest rank you've ever reached (if legend, specify number)
Legend rank 120
Control Warrior, has been getting really stale lately, probably because it's 50% mirror matches these days.
I don't usually play arena so I'm wondering
is this deck any good? And any advise?
>mfw some shitter tires to turn three felreaver me
all fun and games until he silences the reaver.
What's everyone's opinion on antonio or pyroblast in freeze mage.
on that note malygod with arcane blast over traditional freeze any good?
My guess is that Blizzard is stuck in the "Do we want to nerf card X" Phase for way too long, then runs out of time (read: reddit faggots get mad) and delivers rushed solutions to a problem that could've been fixed a thousand times better.
Is this a new meme? EVERY opponent that i'm facing is playing Healbots...
Is there an epik le reddit post thats says play Healshitcancer? wtf is up with this
lmao look at this pathetic rank 3 secret paladin get reckd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQdfgkBt0WM
he is notorious for adding people after they beat him and flaming them, calling them salty for winning and saying they're bad when he plays secret paladin LOL
here is his ID: ItsYaBoy#1976
add him and call him a salty little nigger
Rogue needs Leeching Poison or Recuperate from WoW or something.
Please blizzard, stop giving me cancer and match me with players of EQUAL skill. You can choose, or give me the same amount of legendaries as my opponents have or match me with players who have no legendaries (and don't match me with GOLDEN FUCKING HEROES).
I don't expect players with a basic deck, i just get sick of being matched with players who have the skill of a 12 year old but have invested tons of money to have almost every legendary, while i am playing this game for a year now and i have got my first legendary last week
You're either playing about once a month or that was a flat out lie. Even if you're just doing quests and buy packs that turn out to be 20 dust, you would've been able to craft multiple legendarys.
