1. Make sure you don't have an Oath rune equipped, your network is set to Worldwide, & your chalice is set to Open
2. Set a password with at least one number & one letter (the more the better)
3. Provide glyph if necessary
4. Due to 1.05, there is no longer a way to Dungeon skip via SRRC
5. More info regarding MP for CD's @ http://pastebin.com/R2ZSmner

Friendly reminder to IGNORE shit posters and trips fags! Thank you and have a nice thread
I'm pretty sure we're getting a patch of some sort. I don't think they've ever done an scheduled maintenance without giving us a patch with it.
However, don't expect anything new yet, or even a major patch. I would expect maybe a couple changes and not much else, if we get anything at all.
So you can't use root chalices at all without an internet connection. You lied to me, /bbg/.
With how god damn dull these things are, though, I dunno if I care. The same rooms and the same enemies over and over again, nothing to loot but supplies and ritual materials, and awesome and exciting bosses like that big pig but with more health, and BSB except the floor is poison, and UNDEAD GIANT. Wooooo.
Do these things ever get not completely shitty?
>about to get my uncanny meme blade
ded thred, ded game etc. I want to make a stake driver fire and use oil urns
>finished playing Disgaea 5 after like 100 hours
>want an item world in Bloodborne grinding for top tier weapons/armor
>tfw this will never happen
Haven't played the game in months, did they include anything nice on the patch?
Fight HMPH on my BLT/SKL build was just a joy. High damage evelyn parries followed by big damage viscerals. Boomerang throwing aboriginal
I really hope there's more than just the one eyeball hunter tool in the DLC. More lightning would be cool
Characters in the game has brain problems as usual, but it's way better than 3 & 4, just about everything is better, story, gameplay etc. but not by a large margin.
They changed the character world to a board game like monopoly or some shit, which is a bit more fun, and they added item world to have more mystery rooms.
Post game stuff is about the same length as in previous games.
>farm pomf gems on SKL/BLT char
>get sweet fuck all
>passing through depth 5 FRC that happens to have watchers on 50 arc char
>27.2% phys, -kin down gems
It's so gay.
>the best physical gems are super rare
>can't get them easily except on builds that don't use them
>on ARC builds the gems you need are even rarer
I don't know what it is with this character
temperings are the easiest to come across but the game is just fucking with me at this point
I've settled for 25.2's with a good curse before but I'm not even getting that
I'm up to my 6th run through watchers this morning
21st since reaching FRC isz last nightand I've gotten two temperings, both with attack down
fucking save editor when
fucking church doctor set when
left-handed arcane lamp when
>next two runs after this post
yeah nah fuck this
I'm actually fucking seething right now
literally never been so mad at this fucking game
>Not using your pokeballs to finish off one of every type of enemy
You don't wanna be a pokemon master?
I play with names on. The only weeb name I found (aside my own characters) was Kiritsugu, a BLT pistol build.
I do notice a lot of folklore and horror references though, like Mary Shelly or Bloody Mary.
>2 days until FC
>2 days to farm gems on newly made gimmick arc build that now has FRC access
>2 days to get practice in on a build I've never used outside of ExGlove spam on bosses
Shit is gonna be so cash
until I start crying at all of my 1 shots for having 10 Vit on a BL98
>10 Vit on a BL98
G-good luck anon
I've met at least five Kiritos in BB alone, not to mention fucking DS2 where every second havelshitter had some sort of a weeb name from the most tasteless titles possible.
I know it's in the OP as every Saturday now, but I feel like less attend if there is no notification.
Also, I need an image link to post elsewhere.
Bring The Best Of Your Worst Edition
Is it even worth levelling BLT to use a cannon? I'm myself STR but the cannon looks fun as fuck. The base damage mixed with some bone marrow ash seems high enough and the scaling looks crap
>50 blt cannon
>800 motherfucking BLT AR so you can trade against anyone for a shot and eat half of their HP if not more
So I've not had the game since launch, and the info I'm pulling from the internet is... not helpful. Can anyone tell me how glyphs work? I'm ready to grind/scum for some of the high-tier gems.
>You make a CD you want to farm
>You go to another gravestone and input a glyph you know has the (RNG)drop you want
>You... continue creating the same CD until you get what you want?
I'm missing something aren't I?
I keep meaning to update this with the items you want exactly, but it's still useful.
There is a youtube link in the OP to tell you exactly how to get through them.
>I'm missing something aren't I?
Chalices are pretty easy to understand, you need to have the type of chalice from the glyph you're searching in your inventory, and you need to make one depth 5 frc to access frc depth 5 (and above) glyphs
Basically in order to access everything you need to clear all the story or nonrng chalices and make one root of ll, ihyl, or isz with all three rites
Backstab him when he does the single swipe, parry his combos, follow him as he thrashes around and score free hits
Also don't stop when he stops, cuz the grab has bad tracking but a low windup
roll under his swipes
fuck his sides/back up
don't get greedy
That much I get. I've cleared all the non-root Pthumeru chalices and a few non-Hindertomb ones.
What I want it blood gems. I've just made a FRC Ihyll, and then replicated one in the OP. If I get to the watchers, kill them, and get a shit gem, what happens? Does the game remember I beat that boss, even if I remove the chalice and reenter the glyph, or is it reset to 0 and the only thing I've lost is time?
No, but try this.
The damage won't be as good, but leg-breaking is much much easier than attacking the face. Just be sure to time your dodges through his attacks late to not get hit.
>>Nice extra serration damage, you dip.
The range and move set make up for it, in my opinion. It lets you smack that bitch in the face from safety, then just BMA repeating Pistol him in the face.
It's fine if you want to give advice but to do it on something you literally
L I T E R A L L Yhave not done yourself is just an awful thing to do to people that don't know any better.
Post beastmode speculation
>transform into hairy beast when meter is maxed
>transformation lasts until death
>locks in highest beasthood modifier reached until death
Would permanent 300+ beasthood be viable for pvp?
Lol wut? BSB is literally "walk to the side" the boss.
I have fought the regular Watchdog plenty of times without being hit. I don't see why the strategy would not hold just because you have less HP, and he has more. Does the defiled version have additional moves or something?
>It lets you smack that bitch in the face from safety
You don't need to do such things with the leg strategy. There is no danger as long as you know how to time your dodges, not to mention it's much faster.
My fastest Hotdog kill, from the first hit to prey slaughtered was right over 30 seconds.
Oh shit, you're right. lol
>when meter is maxed
Please no, I want it when tricked 24/7.
>locks in highest beasthood modifier until death
That's more OP than frenzy weapons.
I just want Claws to be gooder.
You have to deal with the lingering hit boxes from the bites to get the legs.
Once you learn your spacing to bait the bites, the face strategy with the Axe never leaves you at right either.
My way is safer, but admittedly slower, unless you have high BLT.
>You have to deal with the lingering hit boxes from the bites to get the legs.
I did tell you you have to just time your dodges. I never get hit in that fight unless I get greedy.
Maybe you should look into getting some
Hell, I don't even get hit on Keeper and hardly ever on Amy anymore.
>comparing depth 1 hotdog to defiled
If I end up making the thread again I'll use that pic someone made last thread
Not for amusement but because there's a large influx of newcomers lately and the last thing we need is someone flinging shit advice left and right
Sounds like a plan, m80.
There's a lot of that lately.
Yeah, that's fine and all, but those hit boxes on those aren't intuitive.
I don't get hit by the Keeper either, and I don't have to abuse parries or the BoM or the Stake Driver to do it.
All these souls from the Calices and fuckall to spend them on.
Really wish blood gems became available in the shop at some point. I'd pay 100,000 souls for a decent bold radial, because otherwise it's just going into rope molotovs or something.
>but those hitboxes aren't intuitive
They shouldn't have to be, the timing is always the same. That is you literally saying 'I can't get used to it, I have a lack of dodge-timing ability'.
I didn't realize game mechanics were ridiculed as such.
They have been ridiculed as such since Gwyn. No one hates on the occasional parry, but parry abuse is majorly ridiculed.
When you can beat her without parries using just LHB without being hit once, then you will have my respect.
>tfw I finally finished my
oldbuild I just remade from scratchand I will notbe able to make it to this FC
You better bring your
kekoobuild to the next fight club as well, mate-o.
>cu.ck filters to kek
>Really wish blood gems became available in the shop at some point.
Fuck, that'd be nice. Like, the requirement would be similar to purchasing versions you've found of weapons in CD's.
>kill FRC Amy
>Nourishing Radial drops
>+21.5% ATK / +flat-phys
>that specific gem is now available for purchase
That even still consists of a grind, so it should even make From happy.
>When you can beat her without parries using just LHB without being hit once, then you will have my respect.
Don't care for yours anyway, but that blew your opinion out of the water.
I've done it before, anyway. Hell, I had to on other builds.
Don't you worry, friend-o.
/bbg/ PRE-DLC TOURNAMENT
Starting Friday, November 20th at 7pm EST and continuing as needed the following days.
To be determined, but probably a Non-FRC Isz one of us can make. If you would like, create an Isz CD and submit the glyph, to be listed, to firstname.lastname@example.org or ragincajunnugz on the PSN. Keep in mind: little or no enemies, a messenger bath, and open-closed glyph.
Same as Fight Club, but a few changes:
- Host will be neutral and streaming, so no one needs to Blood Bullet
- All gems acceptable
- Best 2/3 (semi-finals will be best of 5, Finals will be best of 7)
- BL 120 cap (those who feel the need on a lower than 120, when facing a 120 as your opponent, may savescum, level up, and then fight)
- There will be no complaints of lag. If you believe lag is the cause of your loss, take it like a man.
- After a character has been selected to participate, there will be no changing once the Tournament has started.
- Rules subject to change, stay updated.
Message ragincajunnugz on the PSN or email email@example.com with your Character name and Blood Level.
Last date for sign-up is Thursday, November 19th.

I may have forgotten something and I am open to suggestions, so either reply to this post or the above PSN/Email with ideas or information.
LHB is the weapon that most people will be using. That makes a strategy involving it the most useful to people. She is also set up to punish long slow combos so getting a perfect on her using it also makes it that much more impressive that abusing parries or the BoM.
I can perfect her using LHB without ever firing a shot 99.99% of the time using an intuitive strategy that anyone should be able to emulate.
But you've never done Defiled, so it doesn't matter.
That's a lot more HP Keeper has while you're at 50% on top of the fact you don't know what you're talking about.
First strength build. Pretty excited about the Kirk.
Can't wait to get my ass kicked, again.
>mfw Benjieboi's constant shilling skyrocketed my comatose channel to almost 1000views and still 5subscribers Thanks goy, now it is only a matter of time before I sign up for a Patreon account.

leddit fags sure do hate fun in the morning
I could tell you if we ever get around to farming the rest of the gems and testing.
So far it seems best as str>arc with nourishing in all 3 slots.
The AR, while we know it doesn't matter and is some kind of glitch at full health, is 897 with two 17% nourishings, a 21.5%, and 50str/10arc.
No buff is about 590, buffed at less than full health is high 700's, like 780 I think it was.
It's very good, but the moveset is extremely limited, literally 3 different attacks. Poke, R1 swing, R2 swing with nearly the same animation and arc.
100% blunt/arcane damage, btw.
These polls are stupid as fuck, to be honest.
You can vote several times just by using different devices, wifi, and whatnot.

He Who Posts With Zebras was right: you ARE a whore
which only makes it easier to love you, bae. Consider your boat upped.
Is that a sinister bell in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
I mean, are you in 6cb right now? I could go for a few fights.
I honestly don't remember typing that. I know I typed desu, but whatever. A sunbro-esque covenant seem really unrewarding, though. I hope it increases the chances of gank invasions for Vilebloods and HoHs. That would be really nice.
I'm not really expecting a win because I'm un-versatile as hell. Not to mention that the code will be wasted on me because my game is not a US region version.
I actually play with 5mbps dl/1mbps up and have not heard any complaints. I've also seen a webm of me against someone and I wasn't projecting phantom ranges like crazy. You're fine, senpai. Unless your senpai plays candy crush or something, then prepare for a fight of lag.
>I honestly don't remember typing that. I know I typed desu,
Yeah, I thought that set belonged to some Ned Kelly-type outlaw character, but from the looks of it, this guy is just some fucked up champion of justice with a fucking bucket on his head, like one of those wannabe superheroes with shitty homemade costumes.
i'm dyin' bruh
He's probably a nod to Solaire. Solaire wore a bucket helm, this guy literally wears a bucket. Wonder if he'll be voiced by the same guy as Solaire (who already voiced Alfred in this game).
>open an FRC Isz an anon posted two threads ago

What the fuck is going on? I defeated the other hunter just now, but should I let myself get killed again? I wonder if it's some sort of glitch.
A fucking bucket with holes. I like him already
I'm pretty sure that says moonlight greatsword.
Well, it was conspicuously missing in the base game, but it's been several different things throughout fromsoft's catalog, I expected a hunter tool and not a trick weapon, but I'll take it.
what the hell does untricking a moonlight do?
This is the best fucking MLGS design since KF games.
Bonus points for being actually made from moonlight energy.
Maybe grab +bolt%/+flat-bolt abyssals or Nourishing abyssals and try them out?
If you don't care about level caps, or are going to 120, Tonitrus may be stronger than Wheel.
Blunt gem wheel will fuck more people up compared to ARC wheel.
This just occurred to me: would blood rapture runes be acceptable in FCs?
Not like anyone would be dumb enough to waste a rune slot for one of those, it's just out of curiosity.
Guys, it's just gonna be an arcane tonitrus with a more pronounced change in moveset. It'll deal ARC damage in both forms and you'll trick it to "load" a projectile into it. Certain moves will fire the projectile and others will keep it loaded. Make sense?
They've never been against the rules and I heard of 2-3 players who use them.
the r1's are pretty good if you ask me. ESPECIALLY the charge attack. I've laid a few of you guys out with the wheel.
take a look
Eh, I would sort of believe it if it weren't for the fact it's still a regular sword, ludwig has it on his back wrapped in cloth
It seems a lot more likely that it's the chikage of arc builds, untricked being the one handed longsword with maybe a different moveset than kirk and LHB, and tricking it turns it into it's Arc scaling form that gets ridiculous good damage if invested in arc like with chikage and bloodtinge
I'm keeping my fingers crossed it plays less like Tonitrus and more like the Burned Ivory King sword from DaS2. Regular great sword moveset and then TRICKED MODE BUSTS OUT LASER SHOWS DAWG
A little disappointed we haven't seen more bloodtinge weapons. If the only new shit the DLC adds is a katana reskin I'll be irritated.
>t it's still a regular sword, ludwig has it on his back wrapped in cloth
We never see it unsheathed by ludwig though. It might be arcane while it's strapped to him too.
>It seems a lot more likely that it's the chikage of arc builds
Sounds boring. That means space wizards will be limited to only part of the moveset much how BLTfags can only bloodmode. That's a low quality design if you ask me.
You're both wrong, the answer is literally the opposite.
While I love my Str build Wheel, the Arc Wheel does more.
>Why level ARC at all for a wheel build?
>Thing has no scaling and you'll be putting flat ARC on it anyway
If you look at the Wheel build comparison in the OP, it's a big difference.
>phys build, arc gems
Non-trick Dash R1 - 271
Trick Dash R1 - 427
>arc build, arc gems
Non-trick Dash R1 - 317
Trick Dash R1 - 754
>no healing other than rally/regain
Someone asked this before and I told them I doubt anyone would even notice, but he'd be stupid to not just use clawmark if he wants his parry to matter.
The chikage is the same low quality design, don't doubt that they won't do it again
I'm hoping it turns out to be great and still have arc scaling in it's untricked form but not shit like the tonitrus where the transformation is just a buff that does nothing to the moveset
Chikage style seems more likely, LHB is modeled after ludwigs sword and it starts as a longsword that turns into a greatsword, just without the magic
Also, it's probably worth it to mention
>phys build, phys gems
Tricked R1 dash - 430
>phys build, arc gems
Tricked R1 dash - 427
This is because of the math involved when tricking your Wheel and converting the damage, the Strength scaling tranfers, and, while not as strong as an Arc build Wheel, you can see the outcome.
I like doing this as a Str build since my damage feels nearly the same, tricked or not, but allows for both movesets.
>does nothing to the moveset
Launching projectiles is a lot more fun than only being limited to a buff. It would be a ton of fun to "charge" up the sword and then make the enemy play in fear of the arcane nuke you've loaded up. Imagine the combo possibilities
>L1 Transform attack
>Tricked R2 + Followup projectile
Tricked mode has heavier arcane properties. much like Tonitrus
It's a greatsword. The moveset can't be that exciting. There's gonna be some overheads and horizontal chops. Maybe a thrust or a spin attack if we're lucky. I think the best idea would be to make the projectile gimmick interesting or a trade off somehow. If they set it up like I suggested, I don't think we'd even need to tie it to a QSB cost because the other requirements surrounding it would be reasonably fair.
I completed two of your dungeons: the Ihyll one and the Isz one.
Ihyll one had ENORMOUS layers and some red jellies on the second layer along with tons of backbones throughout the dungeon itself. There were also two undead giants on the second layer that dropped really good Adept gems. It was a really fun dungeon aside from the boss of the final layer, Bloodletting Beast. I hate fighting that fucker.
Anyway, the Isz one was interesting. Didn't really get any good bloodgems or anything, but there was a chest on the second layer bonus room that contained:
>18 pearl slugs
>4 bastards of loran
>6 tomb mold (5)
I think that chest is glitched-- I've never looted one with so many materials inside. I'll probably re-do the dungeon again and see if that chest still gives me the same results.
I Killed Gascoigne and am kinda fucking around in the cathedral district. How soon can I get the holy sword or stake driver? Since I want to try them out.
You can get to it from your location in the game but you'll need to kill a NPC for it. Head on down to Old Yharnam.
You need to beat Old Yharnam and head on back to the Cathedral Ward lantern and check the door that was previously closed. You'll know where to go after that.
Proceed forward to an area called old Yharnam. There'll you'll meet some colorful folks. Kill them all, and you'll get the stake driver. And Ludwigs sword is some way after that area.
I don't want to kill the old nigger, so I guess I gotta avoid old yharnam for now, right? Do I just gun for Amelia and I can move on from there without upsetting the old fogey?
Who wants to help me kill Rom the Vacuous cunt?
I do! I do!
Oh, but I'm not home.

Don't know what's the deal with it. The Famitsu article said that the new cane is basically the League's register. But from the pictures you can apparently use it as weapon too.
I wouldn't say as a weapon
It said that league members can identify each other by showing the cane, and the getting summoned animation is changed to show the cane upon getting summoned
My guess is it'll be the same as dark souls when you enter sunbros, you get your unique summon animation as well as a gesture that shows it off
Ah, so it appears just as part of a gesture. That makes sense.
You need to defeat the boss in old yharnam in order to get passed the locked door in front of the cathedral ward lamp post. If you ignore old yharnam you wont be able to get the steak driver or the holy blade
Unfortunately, if you want the Stake Driver without killing the Zoophile, you will not be able to:
- Get the LHB for ages
- Get to Cathedral Ward without spending 10,000 souls on a key
- Access an area before drastic changes ensue
If you're still OK with that, then just play the game until you find a SIGNIFICANT change in the game. In the new area, make sure to explore EVERYTHING, and you'll find a path to an optional boss, called Paarl. Once you encounter him, you can go back to Old Yharnam and Beastboy won't be hostile, and you can go talk to him.
ENSURE THAT YOU DO NOT CLIMB HIS TOWER BEFORE ENCOUNTERING PAARL IF YOU WANT TO BEFRIEND HIM. He will be hostile for the rest of the game.
The fuck are you on about? Literally everything you said is wrong
Refer to >>121386441
You can go up his ladder and try to kill the faggot and still befriend him after coming across paarl
My personal run through every game is Old yharnam, kill BSB, ascend oedon chapel for badges and then go down to open cathedral ward, get bagged into hypogean goal to save nun and kill paarl, then befriend djura for his gesture by going up from paarl
All before killing Amelia
Again, you can literally go up and slap djuras tits around and come back later from paarls lamp after killing it and he'll be friendly, this was confirmed a while back by a guy in the thread who had hit djura previously
How the fuck are you supposed to kill the bloody crow of cainhurst? Holy fucking shit I heard he was hard, but I didn't expect him to be THIS hard. FUck
He'll only heal once unless you give him shitloads of time. He'll shoot after he dashes, so watch the fuck out.
Just parry him and visceral him to death. Lure him down the stairs and use poison knives when he's slow walking back up, 3 should trigger the poison. You can do it, anon.
also where was this seen in any DLC footage?
It's the non transformed weapon of the moonlight greatsword is what it seems to be.
>BL98 Flat Arc Wheel
>BL110 BT/skl build
Should I try for a 43 vit gouge cruel fate and use the character for NG DLC bowblade?
Anyone starting the dlc in NG+ or starting fresh?
The one who posted this can fuck off, that's just from the video of some fucker on leddit. It's not an official picture.
Also, this fucker took all info from Fextralife and even says that Yamamura has a new katana weapon, when it was clearly said in the TGS streams that he has a Chikage.
see what happens when we post things from reddit? >>121391770
YOU JINXED IT
I NEED GEMS AND WAS JUST CO-OPING AND YOU FUCKING BLEW IT
Oh, now I'm online.
Go to main menu and try again.
I get the same error as this dude on reddit. I can connect to the internet, it just won't sign me in to PSN.
I assumed you may be able to outdamage phys by the sheer AR of a low base damage weapon + flat gems but you're probably right.
I just can't decide between an arcane cane with flamesprayer or phys cane with rifle spear.
The utility of arcane seems nice, but the gem farming for it seems a lot more difficult, tedious and lengthy.
It's not that bad, but it does take long.
Luckily, Isz and Loran are a lot less boring than Ihyll, so you have that going for you at least. Oh, and arcane tools, too, so it's not all about the weapons.
Also, I would consider a fire TC to take advantage of the whip mode's serrated damage bonus.
Pure arcane is a different story, though. You'll want a radial-radial-triangle weapon for that because arcane wanings are difficult to come by in my experience. Radials and Triangles are much easier to get.
I was talking about pure arcane save for the initial weapon requirements. It seems like waning is really good for bolt damage?
If you can farm layer 3s, you can get bolt +22.5% + second random effect being doubled, right? But you think arc/fire damage is better with rad/rad/tri, then?
Going 30/30 eventually when I get around to it. Would I be better just going flat phys with that or would arcane/fire/bolt gems be worth it even though it's a semi quality build with arcane on top?
Yeah, bolt works best with a waning slot. Fire can work with waning, too, but I think it works best with more radials.
I don't really understand why you'd do a quality/arc hybrid when they don't really go well together in the first place.
I probably will go rad/rad/tri fire cane for the bonus damage with kin down then. And then I'll do another weapon as lost with bolt damage and beast down.
That really sounds like the best way to go about it. Thanks. Are there any weapons that specifically have two waning slots that aren't already split damage?
Well, there's no such thing as a waning-waning weapon-- you can only have one waning slot. Anyway, I can't really name any weapons with natural waning slots of the top of my head aside from the Burial Blade, but that one's useless on an ARC build.
Oh, and I suggest farming the hotdog for fire radials. It drops the best ones. Loran Camerabeast drops the best bolt abyssals and I think you can get radial bolts from the saw spear hunters. Make sure to bring eye runes, they're very stingy with their drops and, not only that, but they also drop three other kinds of radials (Tempering, Fire and Arcane.) so that adds to the farming.
Guys, I haven't played in months and the only trophy I'm missing for the plat is to kill Queen Yharnam.
Instead of picking up and playing on one of my characters, I wanna start a new one.
What's fun nowadays, anons? PvE only though because
Bloodborne PvP is awful and completely inferior to Souls.
>tfw missing one trophy for plat, done killing Yarnham, etc
"What the fuck, what is it then?"
>Iook at the missing one, it says it's seemingly one of the game endings
>It's rarer than the other endings
>"wait that doesn't make sense, I'm pretty fucking sure I killed moon presence"
What the fuck? The plain ass "fight Gerhman" ending is the rarest of the three? I can't believe I never even got that ending. Come to think of it, I fight Moon Presence every single time, and did the suicide once for the trophy.
Can't honestly believe that. How is that what I would've assumed is the most common ending, is the least attained of the three?
My PvE character (ng+2 so far) is at 50/40/50/50/7/6
What stats do I build from here? What will be more beneficial, the tiny HP/STR/Skill increases or the Bloodtinge/Arcane considering I obviously don't use those yet?
internet reveals the true ending and it's super easy to get all the cords if you know where to look
The acceptance of gehrman's offer is also more thematic and more of the normalfag choice if they don't know anything about the game.
Any worthwhile spells in ARC? Gonna be a long road the level cost has gotten extreme, hopefully there is something useful at the low levels.
Also whats the point of BLT, just specific weapon requirements? Do people actually rely on the damage, because I'd imagine it must scale pretty high with the stat for it.
High BLT gets you a powerful Evelyn, Repeater, Blunderbuss and Cannon given that you have 30 str. At 50 you do get a non-laughable amount of damage out of it, with ash it's even better, and it can come in handy for bosses like Amy or Bribri where you can use a ranged option to peck away at them or finish them off.
I wonder if they're going to add that "black mist" buff item seen in the bloodborne trailers pre release.
There was like a rendered animation of the hunter applying a black smokey buff with like crow feathers and shit flying around to a saw cleaver.
Ludwig's Holy Blade has a natural waning slot, along with high base damage and extremely high arcane scaling.
Radial gems are technically the worst at elemental damage, so a lost weapon would be better since they only have one radial slot.
Kirkhammer is complete piss.
I've made 2 STR builds. I just can't deal with it.
I've tried 3 +32.7% Blunt bloodgems too, no dice.
It's sweetspot shit is retarded. The weapon does way less damage than it's rated at, and for it's speed, it's useless. Ludwigs outclasses it in every way on the same STR build, in both damage AND speed, ontop of that, reach.
Wheel with +32% Blunt Gems is objectively a better hammer than it.
The only good move on the kirkhammer that does actual damage is the fully charged r2. Good luck ever getting it off though, as it has shit hyper armour.
someone post that vocaroo with Aussie McSexVoice going through it.
Depends on how much arc we're talking, since they don't start to softcap until way over 50.
At only 50, executioner's glove will be your best source of damage. At 70+, ACB and Tiny T begin to do damage worth their bullet cost. At 99, your ACB is doing 3,000 per cast against bosses that fucking resist it.
It doesn't have a sweetspot, it just produces damaging AOEs on impact that sometimes deal damage even when the main head missed.
Which just goes to show how hard it is to really land a hit with it in PvP. It only has the three sweeping attacks, the first L2, the R2 followup, and the running R2, and it's just not enough. Compare it to the axe, where the first two L2s and the first and last R1s are sweeps, and then the charged R2 is a double sweep. Or LHB, where your first two R1s are sweeps. Much more accessible.
I'm sure someone has webms of themselves wrecking shit with it, but I've similarly found it unreliable at best in PvP and greatly prefer other strength weapons. I hope the buzzsaw is better.
If they'd just buff the AOE damage by like 100, even then it'd still not be "awesome, but it might be enough.
Having a weapon rated at 800AR but averaging most of the time for like 500 a hit just feels ass.
Meanwhile, my blunt gem'd one handed wheel does 1k+ per jumping attack, like 800 an R1 and hits nice and reliably, seems to have better hyper armour too.
Looking forward to the new flaming warhammer myself. Such a bullshit move that Fire was a damage type in bloodborne, yet no weapon natively had it. Glad they're correcting that.
Hammer for days.
Why the Lucy-tier misinformation?
>tricked hammer, tricked LHB, and wheel are all blunt damage
>claiming hammer does 500 per hit but wheel does 1,000
You're doing something terribly wrong with your math, mate. Or your gems, at least.
>Literally a gigantic monster with so many limbs it's impossible not to hit it somewhere
Amygdala is a squishy as fuck enemy, everyone knows this.
Holy blade still does way more damage than that webm btw.
The problem is kirkhammer for anything not a gigantic slug monster to hit. Hyper armour, damage in general and tracking aren't there. Blunt already seems to be the low teir damage type in bloodborne, hammer is just insult to injury.
I tested again just yesterday. Wheel and Hammer, +10, same gems. Wheel jumping attack with blunt gems outperformed any kirkhammer attack with the same gems.
I even spaced what I thought was correctly on an enemy, struck and laughed when the number 200 popped up.
It's only good attack is it's charged R2, and then I guess it's L2 after that. The rest of it is trash, and anyway, If all I'm doing is charge attacks, i'll whip out my striking super charge fist blade for that.
200 for a jump attack? Yes, you're doing something horrendously wrong, that number should be closer to over 1,000.
It's okay if you don't like the hammer matey, there's 15 different weapons in this game for a reason. Hell, my own favorite is without a doubt the worst in the game, but I love it for its moveset and weird gimmick.
Wheel's a good girl, treat her well.
>It doesn't have a sweetspot
If you're hitting things with the transformed r1 and aren't right up in their nuts, you're doing 50% damage.
The effective range of the thing is balls.
>LHB is so much better
>blunt is shit
Oh I see, you're trolling. lol
gud 1 m8
For anyone reading this that isn't a full-blown retard, they're both blunt. LHB is better, but you need about 50str/50skl for this to happen.
'ello 'ello 'ello, what's all this then?
Same deal with me except my last trophy was the Submit to Gehrman thing because I always either fought him or Moon Presence.
Even when I found out it still took me ages because I couldn't be fucked making a new character just to suicide to him, his fight is so fun and full of feels that its difficult to skip it any time.
>dressed up like a constable
This is so bizarre, I never even once considered that their would be some kind of law enforcement which makes it even funnier. Not to mention he's just wearing a fucking bucket on his head (to protect himself from what exactly?)
>Looks like exactly like Ned Kelly but ironically with a cop uniform
>Is named a Constable
>IRL Constable Gascoine was one of the aussie police officers that took on Ned Kelly in his final battle
Miyazki confirmed dingo fucker
If anybody wants some fresh spelunking, I just made 6 new dungeons:
hfrtidf9 — Sinister Loran
dknicmnt — RFC Loran
3q5inche — RFC Pthumeru the rest of the way down
All depth 5, all shared closed.
Ned Kelly was Australia's version of Robin Hood. He was an outlaw criminal who robbed banks and gave to the poor, he was an Irish boy. Famous for fashioning metal into a suit of ghetto armour under his clothing and taking on loadsapolice.
Is right. Constable Gascoine was a real cop who shot at Ned in a firefight before he was captured and hanged.
Miyazaki seems to have basically turned it on it's head and made Ned Kelly a cop in Bloodborne.
Ned Kelly's last words as he was being hanged in Melbourne were "Such is life". He was Bloodborne as fuck.
Now, if Miyazaki is being accurate, that armour set that Constable Kelly is wearing actually has full plate armour underneath it.
That armour set, or at least, the torso and helm are probably going to be Havel's teir in Bloodborne. That or just insane bullet damage defence.
Confirmed not Solaire.
Thank fuck for that. I hope since this Ned guy was irish, that they get back that "aye siwmae" gaelic guy to voice buckethead. That would be awesome if he was this weird chirpy irish guy muffled under a bucket.
Fuck yes just killed a host and scaled-down co-op buddy. Respawned in Hunter's Dream with all vials and bullets refilled.
Wasn't even a ten minute wait, either. I could get used to this.
Yes. I'm not used to group fights, but it was a lot more fun than I'd expected.
After that one invasion though, I've so far gotten two false starts on invading this one guy's depth 1 pthumeru. The messengers appear and the chalice goes up, but then the bell goes back to searching and I'm not sure if it can actually invade after doing that.
Yeah. I was just trying to get a better gem for my gun and got it. Putting it into a reiter causes a huge loss in physical for like 5 points of blood when compared to a phys atk up gem. It really is useless.
have faith in the big m
Still here, I've gotten more SRRC invasion hits tonight than I have since the game came out. Four so far, and it's averaging about one invasion every 10-15 minutes, barring the two dud invasions I got.
>tfw waiting for srrc randoms to join the hunt
I'm pretty sure I've fought you. Do you remember my ugly motherfucker?
>Get a hit on SRRC
>It's just some fuck waiting for duels in hizz
I know people talk about how end doesn't matter, but ludwigs feels almost unusable with base end because it seems to have the highest stamina consumption in the fucking game.
What's a good end level for it that isn't too low and also doesn't feel like wasted points?
>Killed someone in Hunter's Dream as an HoH
Loving the chikage blood R1 spam he pulled. Even poisoned I didn't get killed.
Other news, does anyone want to do a Lower Ailing Loran Chalice with me? I want to find that Burial Blade that is really good with 3 phys gems.
When people say endurance doesn't matter, they mean endurance over 20 doesn't matter. 15 is fine if you like getting a couple hits in and getting out of the way before someone shoots your ass, and 20 is for when you want to R1 spam to victory. Anything over 20 is a good sign you fucked up somewhere.
boy that holy moonlight sword looks pretty keen, I guess it's time to do a fucking ARC build
Weapons softcap at 50, but hunter tools scale forever. In pvp, 99arc at BL130 is the equivalent of 50str/50skl at 130-150 if you're using tools right. In pve, 99arc A Call Beyond will rape the shit out of every boss in the game.
10 end + no rune is fine
the gimmick with ludwig's is to go 50/25 or 25/50 with blunt gems and trade with your 900+ AR bigsword mchugeblade
you don't need to swing more than twice in a row when you two-shot people
yeah, hit me up with that glyph
Probably higher. In Dark Souls the MLGS has always had relatively high str/dex requirements for a weapon that doesn't scale with either. Weapon requirements seem lesser in general in BB, but I'd imagine that Ludwig's own sword would have higher requirements than the knockoffs.
I'm going to guess 18 str, 14 skl. Anyone want to have a competition about it?
I feel like, at that point I'd rather stop at 50 and throw points into blt for 25 and basically have the utility of all tools, plus the ability to use just about every weapon in the game save for the reiter/rifle/any split damage weapon and also actually have bullet damage.
I could even squeeze something like that down to sub BL120.
Dark Souls' was only 16/10 and Demon's Souls had 0 requirements save for fai.
And whatever Dark Souls 2's was doesn't count because the game was a mistake.
I wonder what the requirements were like in KF games.
Oh you're right, I was thinking of the DS2 one which requires 18/18 or the like. The DeS one was real easy on the requirements. Weighed next to nothing too.
So it's probably going to be the opposite of what I said, it'll be lighter on requirements. If you think about it realistically as well, it's basically just the straight sword form of the church weapons with a trick mode that adds no weight, so it shouldn't require the strength that Kirk or LHB do. Maybe something like 12 str, 9 skill?
I'm just hoping 9 so I won't have to level my arc invader at all
While normally I disdain this sort of thing as casual DS2 bullshit, I would appreciate it now that I might need to replan some builds to accommodate the new weapons, and I similarly fear the chalice run.
Man, if only Mensis gems were the best it got, making new characters would be incredibly easy.
>HE doesn't know
Mate, if you're in a chalice dungeon and you want to summon SRRC people, run in and out of the doorway of the very first elevator, it constantly resets and checks rapidly. Walk in and out every 5 seconds, soon as you see a fog gate go up, walk away.
Congrats, quick easy summons. Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne use the same shitty netcode with the way it checks. Dark Souls 2 basically checked instantly everywhere and returned a place to invade/summon.
Dark Souls 1 and bloodborne probe outwards and then wait before checking again. It's fucking stupid.
Sorry, I mean't just any elevator, just to be clear. The doorway right out of the elevator.
Don't walk in and out too fast though, because spamming the check will cause people to start to be summoned, and then disconnected. Walk in and out, wait 5 seconds, do it again till a fog gate goes up.
It would make sense in this game considering how much investment is required to complete CDs on a new character. I've got two characters through all the dungeons and grinded out 27.2% gems on them both for the main weapons but both are physical damage (SKL and Quality) builds and I really want to try ARC but fuck getting to that point again and then having to grind for ARC gems.
As long as it was extremely costly to respec and wasn't available until end-game I wouldn't have a problem with it. Maybe if it required a once per playthrough item and shit loads of insight, or something. It was way too easy to respec in DS2, there needs to be some level of commitment or cost otherwise everyone just respecs to what's the most effective for PvE/PvP/flavor of the month.
I know your pain.
>killed a brainsucker boss and got a NOURISHING FLAT ARCANE gem.
Yeah, it has HP down, but it's just that much better than every other flat gem I've seen. Useless on the build I found it on.
I think 16 str, 10/12 skl is more like the one-handed requirement. Think about it: your character uses the trick mode with two hands, so if two-handing followed the same rules as it did in De/aS, it'd give the greatsword and hammer forms a 24 str requirement to use one-handed, which is pretty par for the course in DaS.
I think it's a safe bet to say the Holy Moonlight Sword will need 16 str, and might need 12 skl if LHB is supposed to be a close approximation of it.
I didn't mean moveset. I really have no idea what the moveset will be like but I would assume the same also.
I was only talking about a 16/12 req.
Except in DeS it was as light as a feather and had no str/dex requirements because you were basically swinging air around.
>a wheel with three nourishing flat arcanes
Holy moly. That'd be like 20+ extra arcane damage, which is nothing to snort at considering how the wheel works.
I've grinded for hours just to get a radial +72.5. Never even knew nourishing flat was possible. Almost makes me want to restart the grind.
The DeS version also had no physical component outside the handle and an itty-bitty blade within the larger blade. I wouldn't expect that to weigh much of anything at all.
I don't remember if the DaS version had a more substantial core on the inside, though.
DaS' was a full physical weapon that weighed the same as the majority of other greatsword class weapons but still did pure magic damage.
From what we've seen, we can probably assume that it will have something like shit tier D/D scaling with physical damage in untricked mode and really good phys/arc split in tricked.
Why would the trick mode have higher physical scaling? That doesn't seem right. I'm expecting it to be more like the wheel, with great physical and terrible arcane in sword mode but flips them around in moonlight mode.
Bloodbornes weapons are all about their multi use. They're supposed to be useable in all forms.
Here's what I thinks going to happen.
The sword will be completely raw damage wise, but have the highest base damage in the game.
My bet, is that the sword is glass. Let's say untricked mode it's natural +10 base damage is 350 physical, 150 points higher than ludwigs base damage, but doesn't scale at all and requires like 30 ARC to wield.
When you trick the weapon, it converts the damage entirely into arcane, and then adds damage scaling from your arcane stat, and the sword lights up, going anywhere up to 800+ damage etc.
Possibly, dunno. It was a brainsucker on layer 1.
I save scummed the same guy on an arcane build later not joking like 200 times. Never once saw a single nourishing, whereas the one in that pic dropped first time on my BLD build.
Anything is possible.
