What are your expectations for the HS movie /hsg/?
>garrosh is a roidbrained backstabbing warmonger
Careful, you're gonna wake the GIDF aka the edgy "galosh health cream did nothing wrong" kids who think war is cool and "le might makes right xDDD".
And then he surrendered. I don't understand.
Time for the shieldbearer test. Time to find out how good /hsg/ is at the game. Is this card good, bad, or balanced? Explain your reasoning.
Making the climb happen, cross your fingers for me bros..!
>Not a yugioh style cartoon following thrall trying to become the best hearthstone player ever.
>Season finally versus Control warrior.
>yfw it's just streamers talking about hearthstone and how much it means to them and how their lives have changed thanks to it
i'm not your average hs player. by the time your planning what 3-drop to make i'm already drowning you in 6 wisps and a leper gnome. heh, tough luck kid but thats how it is when you make it past the inkeeper. we dont follow your silly 'morals' or rules, were ladder junkies and were gonna f you up !
They released a list of Japanese voice actors for the characters and it had
Whisperwind, Liadrin and Shadowsongon it then was edited it to remove them afterwards
pretty much just a taunt thats not really a taunt
6 or 9 damage doesnt really matter against aggro
you cant play low cost cards yourself because you care for your health, not the aggro player
if the enemy has a low curve on hand and bad draws it can win you the game
otherwise its just a decent 3 drop
I'd consider buying it and playing Rogue a lot if that was the case. Assuming it was good and they didn't ruin her voice.
>fade in to Kevin Spacey sitting at a bar, turns and says "You reallly think you have what it takes? To beat this meta?"

>cuts from a montage sequence, dark room, glow of the computer screen on a few faces huddled around the monitor
>angry sperg voices lash out

>cut to spergenberg, face is red, trying to hold in his autistic rage
>mouse shaking, moving toward concede button.
>black screen, music stops
>cuts back to spacey at the bar again "So whats your name kid?"
>"Who am I?.... None of your business."
>spacey smiles, drinks the last of his whiskey.
>"They'll never see it coming"
>fade to hearthstone logo
>"The cancer ends, Summer 2017"
Very apparently. Bli$$ard skimp and fuck over many voices. Look at Anub, it's always different. God-tier in WC3, dog-shit in HotS and well, arguable in HS (not as good as WC3)
The answers are in. Here is the correct response:
This card is strong as it can be used as both an anti aggro card in control warrior and a strong aggro card in various different aggro decks.
This card was perhaps too easy. Here is a more challenging car to evaluate. Is this card good, bad or balanced? Explain your reasoning.
Pretty sure they fucked that up with nearly everyone of the WC3 characters that they had not been using for a long time.
Companies dont seem to care about voice actors. Remember the Silent Hill HD collection fiasco?

The correct answer is
Good for slower hunter decks as it gives them a way to draw removal, but too slow for face hunters.
There were no shield bearers yet again. This is unusual of /hsg/. Here is a harder one. Are these two cards good, bad, or balanced. Explain your reasoning for each.
>Trying to make Hand of Protection good
>Forces players to consider bad trades at the risk of running their big guy into a shield
>Taunt may well be too effective; considering changing to when a friendly minion takes damage

You can hold and play these in a losing situation to win your next game
They will be dead cards in your hand in games where you stand a chance/ are winning but overall they will push your winrate up if used correctly
>implying you could actually lose when starting with those benefits.

Word of advice
Dont worry about it
The news drip feed will happen throughout the day
Go about your work or school normally, kick back and play some games
Then check here or hearthpwn and the like for the news
Its better than scrounging around for the info as the day goes on. And its not typically worth watching
Just got golden enhance-o mechano
Is it 400 dust, or should I keep him, I allready have regular 1 for teching.

>I watch twitch to be entertained.

shit game desu baka
What should I change in this deck with no antonidas?
I like having flamecannon as a cheap removal for larger minions and arcane intellect when I run out of cards towards the late game. Should I add more cogmasters or mana wyrms or are they too wea? I feel like most have good taunts or AoE to make them less effective. Also should I keep sky golem or take it out? I feel like it dies way too easily. Should I put in some azure drakes?
0-2 with the deck at the moment. Getting destroyed by tempo in the early game that snowballed into turn 6 and 8 losses. This is the reason I hadn't touched arena in weeks, it feels so helpless in every game.
I'm currently playing secret paladin at rank 20

It seems no matter what rank I am I can never escape bullshit.

no in general I find that it's not worth putting the secrets in your deck because they're garbage and I'd rather have them be cards that generate more value
spotted the shieldbearer
>getting upset at pixels at a screen
If you can't laugh about a few emotes and a loss, you probably shouldn't be playing this game.
>spotted the shieldbearer
Yeah whatever, I'm just gonna believe the universally agreed upon best deck in the game right now is actually shit because one random shitter on hsg said so.
best deck according to who? forsen and reddit? I play maybe 10 % secret paladin at rank 5. if it was truly the best deck I'd see way more paladin. but I don't. and the deck doesn't yield me any free wins. only when I draw like a god. but that's true for any good deck.
Why assume that he netdecked just because he has the exact kind of deck that nearly all warlocks have?
Maybe he made that deck no his own and its just a coincidence that it has all of the handlock cads in it
>playing control priest with double shrink double cabal
>vs dragon priest
>he drops all these 3/6 taunts, ysera and other shit while I sit on double shrink in hand
>my last two cards were cabals
This game pisses me off way too much. At least I won with mc on ysera but this match lasted 10 minutes longer than it should have.
I only played arena few times, but it seems like it tries to bait you with moderately good build-up cards like murloc knight or tinkertown technician and the like and if you bite you won't ever see another mech/murloc whatever card, ever but if you don't it keeps harassing you with bunch of mechs for the next 10 picks.
Is that a correct line of thinking?
Fucking this. I actually went up against 3 golden heroes at rank 20 today. I haven't even played 500 games in Hearthstone yet so why? What the fuck is wrong with the MMR in this game?
What Van Cleef build was nerfed?
Can you please post?
I just went against a Rogue in rates that busted out Van Cleef 8/8 on Turn 3.
I need to know the best build that uses him.
Answer me and you will have 1 less Secret Paladin to deal with.
Alright, really solid draft despite no draw power, literally the last card pick but I'm stumped.
Volcanic Lumberer or Arcane Nullifier?
I already have a great curve that goes well to a strong late game. But I'm concerned whether I should get another lategame card that the opponent can't really skip past, but that may clog up my hand if I draw too many late stuff. Or the solid taunt that adds survivability to actually get to the late game, with a bonus of two mech synergy cards.
HearthArena favors Volcanic Lumberer by 15~ points, but its value system has a massive boner for cards that accelerate when minions die so that might be throwing it off.
You guys realize the new season started 5 days ago right?
Who /fuckpaladins/ here?
I kind of want to get back into Hearthstone. I played it when it was released and got a couple of the spider cards, but I haven't played since then. Is it too late to get back into things since I heard most of the original decks are obsolete now?
People de-rank themselves on purpose to:
-farm golden portraits
-give themselves a false sense of superiority
At the same time, Blizzard really doesnt care about newcomers and f2p-ers, and letting golden fuckbois go up against newbie f2p-ers weeds out those who will just drop the game from those who will pay massive dosh to stay "competitive".
Basically, just play arena/tavern brawls/casual (casual sucks too tho) until you have a few decent enough decks, and start at the middle of the month with ladder, because of ladder resets.
>he doesn't play full gold handlock in lower ranks
>game supposedly puts you against a player of equal skill level
>pits you against someone with a gorrilion times more experice
Okay I don't care if the season reset, the mmr is still fucked and makes no sense.
>posting off-topic instead of /fuckpaladins/
>game supposedly puts you against a player of equal skill level
When and were was this ever said?
I've never seen anything close to this having ever been said by anyone in reference to hearthstone.
The game matches you with people at or near your rank.
Casual does basically the same thing but hides the number.
Arena is roughly based on your win/lose rate for that current run.
Good and or lazy players have been ranking down to 15-20 to farm gold or golden heros since the games release.
Trying to get Leeroy for my meme face hunter deck.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK IT IS?
>justicar gives warrior 4 armor for litarally only 2 mana
This shit isn't even balanced and unless you are already far ahead of the Warrior you are going to lose. I've still never beaten a warrior who has used that Justicar card. The minute I see that card played I pretty much just concede.
>as someone with every meta available to his exposal
blizzard rightfully called jews. the only reason i play this game because there's no other option for this option at this level of popularity and polish in existence and because i started during naxx release and have never given them a cent.
i miss the days where you could just put literally all of your gold from unique quests immediately into naxx after the free first wing (remember when the first wing used to be free? hah... memories...) and then just build deathrattle <class> and could easily complete any of your dailies as you slowly built a collection. i could make a bunch of semi-viable budget meme decks too but i could always fall back on undertaker shenanigans, even in rogue and warrior, to complete my dailies.
now you have to deal with the riddler, i feel bad for any newcomers to this game. to be fair i'm happy i started early, it's definitely fun to play if you started early and remained f2p forever.
Van cleef was really effective with shadowstep but since leeroy nerfs that card is only ok with arcane golems and with those cards you probably would like cold blood but when you start running all that garbage you run out of space for good cards in your deck.
Now I sometimes play around with pic related, but somehow don't run into face decks too much and that matchup is pretty bad. Van cleef isn't amazing in this deck but sometimes it can work well, and I have the card so it would be a shame not to use it.
Honestly the deck probaly isn't very good but it's fun in this boring ass meta game.
I love rogue in general, and I have all the cards for oil but VanCleef. His recent resurgency makes me wanna make him, however he's very weak to silence. How come VanCleef even survives in this meta? Don't druids and hunters run at least 2 silences?
Death is a part of life, Anon. The best among us are here far too briefly. But we appreciate them all the more for their absence.
>expecting blizzard to put in the minimal amount of time it would take to implement a completely reasonable and practical change that would legitimately make the game more enjoyable for new players, even likely leading to greater profits over the long term despite fewer profits in the short term
Druid isn't fun, but it's competitive. It's one of the most braindead classes in the game right now. You literally just hope for ramp and play shit and eventually angry trees them to death, that's druid, summed up in less than a sentence. That strategy is competitive though, but you will get bored quickly.
Druid is the top dog with paladin but I don't think aggro is fun, midrange isn't great fun too. Ramp is pretty fun but you'll get destroyed and too bad watcher druid is dead I liked the deck.
It would be better early game but a 9 mana? What's the point? It's shit.
You're legitimately surprised? They have card draw coming out of the ass. If they're not drawing cards, they're freezing your minions instead to stall. It's not uncommon for Freeze Mage to play 2 Ice Blocks in a game.
Yes, which would actually motivate Timmy to buy even more cards so he can wreck everybody harder.
The change you suggest isn't profitable from a companies view, whereas just playtime could lead to profits and lure some f2ps who might drop a game soon to spend a bit of cash.
Super slow late game drop with terrible stats and no immediate impact on the game
You would really only want a hero power to give all of your creatures taunt against super aggro decks. And against those decks you need tools to make it to turn 9. Even if you got there against that kind of deck, a turn 9 5/5 isnt going to help you win.
If would actually be bad in some situations. Giving all creatures taunts means you cant hid an important thing like an armor smith behind other taunters.
What was your goal with this card? To combat aggro? To complement control? To make something new for a new deck type?
honestly it wouldn't be so boring if i could actually post screenshots of my games somewhere and people would respond to them by laughing or something.
everyone here just makes me feel bad about when i enjoy the game, don't even know why i come here anymore.
Holy fucking shit I hate Warriors so much. I've dealt a hundred damage and the armor NEVER ENDS.
>don't draw thrill
>the solitare meme
Everything is solitare in hearthstone since you don't interact with the opponent on his own turn. You're either facehitting, cycling for your combo or trading on your own terms during your turn, uninterrupted. There is no interaction in hearthstone. Some things are just more or less braindead.
No, sorry. Half of those decks just play creatures on curve and swing.
The freeze mage pleading and excuses are almost as bad as the wow mages
Not really, you just lying isnt really something that can be argued again.
Pointing out that what you're saying isnt true isnt of much value if you knew that going in.
Its like arguing with a creationist.
>durr my deck being less interactive than literally an other deck in the game is ok because other decks are also less interactive than some imaginary standard we havent established
>hurr those classes that dont just play on curve and hit face DO just play on curve and hit face
If this card had just one more way besides Baron Rivendare to duplicate its Deathrattle, its deck would be so fucking good.
Who makes it? 99% of franchise like this is made by cheap and poor quality manufacturers. It may look cool, but the novelty will quickly wear off and at that point, the item will fall apart.
Holy shit you can see how poorly made this fucking thing is.
This is terrible, this is on the same tier as fluoro wallets with velcro that go shhhrrrrkkkkk when you open them. Anyone over the age of 13 with one of these is a pathetic manchild.
WoW____wallet I got 6 years ago is still holding strong
>dog streaming with a control rogue
>it has some of the obscure legos like gally and anub
Damn, I wanted to try it, but I don't even have those and not even sure if they are worth crafting.
>Blizzards wallets are holding up better over time than their MMO
>implying KT isn't way too slow
>implying that even if you pull it off, you don't just end up having your board permanently clogged with 1/1s from turn 10 on
>implying anybody is seriously to to blow a faceless on a fucking dreadsteed, even in a dreadsteed deck
BR is the only viable option
They actually make their own shit? I'd be very cautious about that. That even sounds worse than Blizzard getting a third party involved.
How much are they stabbing people for that wallet?
>Wish there was more options
>But there are
>Yeah, but not those options.
You sound dumb. If you think kel is slow, or if you think clogging your board with 1/1s is bad, why are you playing a dreadsteed deck?
>best girl finally gets a chance
>He thinks the only people that hate creationists are atheists
>caring about how much damage you take as a hunter
>not realizing the weapons can also be used as burst damage along side highmanes
At least with Thrall it took him a long time to go from slave-> warchief -> goku whereas yrel literally has never killed anything prior to WoD and turns into Valen 2.0 in like a week
Blizzard's response to complaints to a lack of females in WoW
Tyrande is more of a priest
On that note I dont really know any major druids in WoW besides Malfurion. Maybe Staghelm or that one Tauren that gets burned really bad
>alt universe Maraad isn't anywhere in WoD
that's because he died for Yrel in the alliance quest line
Even before feminists started getting involved with video games there were plenty of women in Warcraft. Doesnt make much sense to me but ohwell. At least we got the studio fow video out of it
He isnt there to reduce confusion. Blizz wanted more of a "ANGRY ORCS ON AN ANGRY WORLDD" vibe than a surreal time anomaly one. Its the same reason why baby thrall and baby garrosh arent there
This is one of the least coherant straw mans I've ever seen. I dont even know what you're trying to say.
My point was that legendaries are not objectively better than all other cards. There are tons of horrible legendary cards. Good cards are strong regardless of their rarirty. Fucking Shielded Minibot is a very strong card and its a common
I didnt even fucking mention money, seriously what the fuck are you talking about?
See, this is why this alternate universe quasi time travel bullshit completely fucking stupid.
Its like blizz was reading too many DC comics when trying to make a shitty expansion
Apparently alternate universe Guldan is now in our universe because magic and has brough Illidan back to life and holy shit this is going to get so much more confusing
I am a Blizzard Insider.
The next Adventure will be Icecrown, and will be revealed during Blizzcon along the three new hero skins.
The other big announcement is that Naxx will be rolled into the basic set for free, much like how WoW bundled the old expansions with the main game for ease of access.
You heard it here first folks.
>mfw people complain about spending money on hearthstone
>mfw most standard decks are 300$+
>mfw I have a
Cards games as a whole seem needlessly expensive.
For reduced price of course. Also gotta keep in mind that when a standard lego rotates out and doesnt see play in the other formats it will plummet in price. I think when nightveil specter was in standard it was like 15$. It is now a dollar
Hey now cardboard is expensive to print
I´d also like to point out that I have a golden portrait despite playing very casually. The thing is that I´ve been playing since the release. I bet many others are like that.
Holy shit I just realized that Illidan is going to get the second Guldans skull when he invariably dies as a raid boss
Guys! Illidan is going to go super saiyan!
DOUBLE SKULL POWER!
So I finally saw somebody play Anub'arak. What the hell is wrong with his voice?
Where's "MY MIGHT CANNOT BE MATCHED.", and "I SERVE ONLY THE FROZEN THRONE."? He sounds like a raspy fuccboi trying to sound threatening.
FRUM THE DEBPTHS I CUM
Apparently there's only one Archimonde/Burning Legion since the Twisting Nether exists outside of normal time and space. I like to think of the AU as a pocket universe containing Draenor and some surrounding space since it's the only way that makes the slightest bit of sense.
Thats gonna be a pretty awkward conversation for both of them.
They still have his voice actor on call, seeing as he voiced Abathur in HOTS (But oddly not Anub'arak), so I can only conclude they wanted him to sound like shit intentionally.
So do we agree that this is the worst tavern brawl yet? Not because of the idea, but because of how shitty that idea is executed because of Hearthstone's current limitations.
So the Legion operates outside of space time....but is still subject to space time....
This makes so little sense that I'm starting to think that Blizzard is just making up random bullshit to excuse their poorly written lore.
>winstreak for a bit to rank 14
>suddenly face hunter with perfect hand
>match up again, another face, gets huffer for exact lethal
I shouldn't feel salty and yet here I am.
I really liked it. It was fun and challenging.
I guess when the AU was created it duped anything that was on Draenor at the time, including Velen. I only casually follow the lore and occasionally level my characters so that's about as much as I can guess. I do know there only being one BL was confirmed by Blizzard though.
But if there are an infinite number of multiple universes, and the burning legion came from a universe that operates in space time....even if the legion that menaces us is currently operating outside of our spacetime, whatever taht even means, then that would mean that its likely there is more than one legion.
Like, trillions of other universes probably had Draenei that joined the legion. Trillions never even had the Legion form in the first place.
So we have multiple, innumerable versions of the Legion, all trying to invade multiple different universes?
I think that my brain is caving in
Fuck off it was fun the first time and the more you play it the more you realise how dependent winning is on Millhouse. They should've thinned out Mechazod's removal with some self heals or other spells.
yeah I love the video game equivalent of waving your arms like an idiot to tell someone far away how to make a grilled cheese sandwich.
>Mfw beating wallet warriors at their own game as "tempo" mage.
>>mfw most standard decks are 300$+
that's not how you spell $700+
This is probably not right but its blizzard lore so eh
When a demon dies or their summoning is disrupted they are forced back into the twisting nether to be reincarnated and they are banished from that world where they ceased to be. In the normal timeline, we killed Archimonde during the battle for mount hyjal and flushed Kil'Jaeden down a magical toilet in sunwell plateau. They were probably both floating around the twisting nether getting reformed looking for an opportunity to dick around azeroth again and saw Garrosh's schenanigans as the perfect way to do so.
>people hate fon + savage
>alex deals more damage with less cards and less mana ignoring taunts
hsg doesnt know shit
You know what? With WoW franchise g
