>DARK SOULS 2
Shit man, my character is level 67 but has the stats of a 120 and all I wanna do it CE it to where it's supposed to be, but I haven't CE'D since the steam update. how the fuck.
I downloaded the durzano controller deadzone fix for das2 a long time ago, put hundreds of hours into the PC version and lately I haven't been able to connect but it doesn't say I'm banned, VAC is good also. Namco support even said I wasn't banned.
Could that deadzone fix be to blame? I tried port forwarding as well, I can connect to DaS just fine but not Das2
I've killed so many charred loyce knights that the portals flare up, and then no knight comes out. does /dsg/ have a favorite god for loyce soul farming on the name engraved ring so i can get some sun medals while i get the last 25 souls? my soul memory is jacked up to 5million.
DeS - Cthulhu head faggots in Latria or maybe the giant club fuckers inVoD especially in the swamp part
DaS - Blowdart snipers or drakes in Valley of Drakes
DaS2 - Exploding mummies or maybe the NPC invader just before Demon of Song in Amana
I can't connect to das2 anymore and I have no idea why, pls help. Even namco doesn't know why I can't connect. My kokoro is brokoro
I kinda like him. for some reason it feels nice to block for a while and find openings to bonk him with a club. He can't seem to drain my stamina completely, so I never really had problems with that guy.
the warhammer and shield guy is typically harder for me to open up and kill just because he blocks really well.
I never really had a problem with him as a pure melee build on my first playthrough
I just baited him into attacking and rolled behind him, then got in a hit or two, and repeat
Are people still PVPing at kiln and oolacile township?
I've kept all my characters in darkroot for months, thinking about progressing one to kiln if it's still active.
>Still getting DeS invasions
It will be a profound tragedy when the servers go offline.
>Do your brains liquify the moment blocking doesn't help you?
He's more baffling than anything.
First encounter I just sit there watching and thinking to myself "wow he's really not going to stop?" while blocking those smashes that clip right through your body. Kind of funny really.
I have 3 attunement slots and can't decide which of these I want to use
>Gravelord Sword Dance(s)
>Great Magic Barrier
What combo would be the most useful overall?
What are some other weapons that an SL1 can use? The reinforced club and the handaxe are both fucking garbage. Shit hitboxes, shit range, shit wind up on every fucking attack, no proper r2 for the club, etc.
Are there any famous Souls players who are actually good?
I'm not talking about guys who rely wholly on parries, or those who have a fully optimized build that uses the same tactics each fight. I mean people who can actively adapt to any situation and deal with it in an effective way.
I remember watching MrIWont4Get's videos a little while back and his general tactic was v get the opponent down to 1/2 health then finish with a backstab.
Are these people not to blame for the cancer that is the Souls community?
Oroboro is genuinely good, but gets shit on because he's famous for the DMB falchion build. He has plenty of videos of him shitting on people with a wide variety of weapons, including 'bad' ones like twinblades
The hellkite drake? Run around the staircase so you're standing at the side of the bridge, safe from the fire. Wait until it jumps down, and the MOMENT you see it start to jump down, haul ass past it
Then sit under the bridge with a good bow. Many, many, many people before you have gone "Oh I'll just fight it now that I'm stronger, it'll be fine", and realized that the Hellkite Drake is one of the worst enemies in the souls franchise. It's not worth fighting legitimately for ANY reason. No good loot, no satisfaction, not fun to fight it, nothing
>bloodborne gets its own mlgs
Something tells me that even DS3 won't surpass its moveset.
Does DaS3 have something like transform attacks for 2handing? I don't remember seeing any in the Network Test, but maybe I just didn't notice.
Transform attacks are so good for some weapons.
LHB is most likely just a crude imitation of original Holy Moonlight Blade created for simple hunters. MLGS looks smaller and is already shown to have some unique animations plus obviously going to have projectile attacks.
It's also the best looking version of MLGS since KF maybe and actually looks like it's made from moonlight energy.
there are weapons like dual scimis, 1 handed it's 1 scimi, 2 handed it's dual scimis. a downgrade from powerstancing imho, but it means they might actually have some transforming shit. im not sure who they would make it look like souls though.
I can't imagine swinging this thing around one-handed in Bloodborne though.
It'd be better if it appeared to be a dagger with an oversized hilt and then when tricked the blade appears in a burst of energy. It'd be more consistent with how KF lore describes the weapon.
Here's a bigger version.
Its untricked mode is a longsword covered in rags, probably will function as ice rapier with stabbing moveset and some weak piercing projectile.
Kaiser is correct, because the Germans got this pronunciation from the Pope, because they were the true Holy Roman Empire, the only genuine successor to the Imperium Romanum
Yeah... I know. I just can't kill anything because my weapon is way too slow. I just get fucking rekt by bloodloss from these fucking thieves before I can attack them, even if I swing preemptively
What the fuck?
If you can't manage with the DGA just get a battle axe and upgrade it a little, you'll still do plenty of damage with it. Try to get used to the DGA though
>people who clearly are waiting around for duels at Belfry Sol summoning the NPC phantom and chugging estus.
I'm sticking to Iron Keep Bridge thank you very much, never have I encountered so much faggotry as I have at Belfry Sol
I don't mind chugging and phantoms if you're trying to get through the area but if you're clearly waiting for duels you're a faggot.
What this anon said.
Alternatively, to take full advantage of your Str you could grab a Club and upgrade it as much as you can, you should do pretty high damage and it's able to carry you for a fairly long time through the game.
If you aren't getting the hang of the Demons Greataxe, try something smaller/more suited to your playstyle, plus the DGA will be really affecting your equip load and your roll, especially at 13 End.
>tfw help your bro through Frozen Outskirts with 2 other people
>they die on the way to fog gate
>beat Ludd and Zallen first try with your bro
>tfw you get summoned and die to a stupid mistake
Which game had the best cinematic trailer in your opinion?
DeS > DaS2 > DaS
>Tomb of Giants
Jesus fucking CHRIST how much more of a bullshit can an area get?
>dark as fuck
>no lantern or spell? GO FUCK YOURSELF
>skeleton archers on impossible locations for you to deal
>cant even KILL anything unless you got divine weapon
>THE RIDE NEVER ENDS level
FUCK THIS GAME
I JUST WANT TO GET OUT GOD DAMN IT I ONLY GOT IN TO TRY TO SAVE THE CLERIC CHICK THIS BETTER BE GOD DAMN WORTH IT YOU WORTHLESS WHORE
>no lantern or spell? GO FUCK YOURSELF
a skull lantern can be found early on in the area
>skeleton archers in impossible locations for you to deal
>implying anyone gets hit by them
Plus you can get to all of of the archers
>cant even KILL anything unless you got divine weapon
The necromancers are only in the Catacombs m8
Pretty sure they stay dead in there even without a divine weapon.
Or you´re just slow as fuck.
Also, there isnßt that much you even have to kill in there. The skeleton beast are just as blind as you
to bad I got 4+ giant fucking skeletons to fight on narrow paths where I cant see shit before that god damn lantern
I didnt even go to Anor Londo I went to save that cleric chick
So I'm doing an SL1 run and I want to get the chaos ember, but it seems impossible without the orange charred ring. I know orange charred ring doesn't affect fire damage you take and clearly gets rid of "lava damage". Would flash sweat let me run on the lava a little longer?
Flame stoneplate requires me to go to sens which I haven't done yet (infact I haven't even fought the gargoyles as I skipped around a bit). I have DWGR though.
Well considering I died while trying to roll/jump to the Soul on the little mound of crap and considering that the lava run to the ember is a lot bigger than the one to the soul, idk.
If you submit to your get goods, you can throw dung pies over the wall with the fog gate and stand around while capra dies from toxic damage.
So whatever happened to this armor set?
It's the "mascot" armor set of Dark Souls 3, yet nearly every single promotional photo in recent weeks has shown the Knight 2.0 set instead of this one.
Who needs cute when you're high on Elizabeth Mushrooms?
das1 spear guys never attack you though, they just shuffle around until you get bored and kick their shields off
das2 spear guys have retardedly fast run speed and crazy tracking attacks
It does feel like Namco possibly chose it to be the posterboy, as with Faraam, because they thought it was cooler.
It would be like if they had decided to use the Black Iron set for Dark Souls advertising because it looks more "badass" than Elite Knight.
>be forest covie
>invade a dude's world
>first person I see is a red spirit
>oh cool a buddy to gangrape the player with
>red spirit faces me like he wants to fight
>the player backstabs him and kills him
>swing at the player
>dies in one hit
>That "fur" texture
Goddamn I don't know why they thought that effect was a good shortcut to fur. It's more of an intense blur than anything fur like.
The lightning demons are fucking niggers to fight on SL1.
Not only are their hitboxes so fucked up that my club/axe are going right through them without doing any damage, but they also infinitely dodge.
Yeah you're right, the Mushrooms are GOAT.
You bet your sweet mycorrhizae my eye was glancing hither Elizabeth, you saucy fucking fungus.
That armor set looks way too unique and "regal" to be something that you can simply find in a treasure chest or on the ground somewhere.
I highly reckon that that is going to be a boss armor. The "crown"-like helmet makes me think that the boss will be one of those Heirs of Cinders.
>Cursed One became The Pursuer
>Exile Sentry got turned into Flexile Sentry
The Japanese language is capable of differentiating lord and heir, so its not really a salient point. They have extremely different words for those concepts. You'd have to be an absolutely incomprehensible translator to somehow think that any of the word meaning heir are contextually meant to be lord.
The player is still referred to as a Lord of Cinder when using an Ember. The Heirs of Cinder never linked the Fire, they seemingly just have some amount of Embers of the First Flame passed down to them.
>trying to farm those loyce souls
>wear all item discovery gear you have
>none of them drop anything
>the last loyce knight finally drops something
Yeah this. According to a bunch of empirical data mined by autists item discovery in two seems to average between values for the items used rather than stacking on each other in some way.
I'm still not sure if I agree, since that would means rusted coins always lower your discovery rate but I feel like I've found them helpful.
Armor pieces seem to override loyce souls so you don't want extra item discovery in the first place
AND GSR+2 gives you the most possible item discovery, statistic from reddit etc, not that you would want that for loyce souls because of the reason above
>since that would means rusted coins always lower your discovery rate
Its probably something like GSR gives you a 1.2 multiplier (numbers from my ass just for the examples sake), jesters cap gives 1.1 multiplier etc,so if you wear GSR with something else it averages lower
Rusted coins would give like 1.05 multiplier meaning its better if you have base item discovery, but worse if you have a dedicated item for it like a ring.
Also these goddamn captchas going off the side of the screen how do you even fuck that up in the fist place?
DeS: Either octopus sorcerers or giant depraved ones
DaS: Dogs, torch hollows, oolacile sorcerers,
hydra(it said annoying, not hard)
DS2: every 3000+ HP NPC invader, spear-using royal soldiers, hollow mages, drakekeepers, reindeer, smelter hammer statues, lydia pyromancers
>on sl 1
I'd rather kill myself than get firebombs or throwing knives. And fireball is impossible to aim after a certain distance. Anyways i'm farming the worms in demon ruins now and I want to fucking kill myself.
Red titanite chunks since I can't seem to find the second one at great hollow and because every other one requires I place the lord vessel, which i need to kill 4 kids since frampt is a fag, and i'd rather fight 4kids with +5 chaos club instead of a +2.
it's on a hovering root near the bottom
you have to stick close to the center of the tree, follow the roots down to a point you can jump down and land on the branch with the red titanite on it.
It's not this branch, but this is looking at it.
on my phone the captcha goes off the top of the screen and cuts off, i literally have to guess what the 'select all X' is based on what the pictures are. i mean shit, parts of dark souls were easier than that.
>mouse camera control without dsmfix
most strike weapons have shit movesets. Many fast, fleshy enemies have nearly equal strike resistance to their other resistances, so faster, better ranged weapons are more effective on them.
Probably not. There were a few twitchfags for a while that were legitimately good. I mean like playing unlocked without spinning in circles like a faggot, playing hyper aggressive and rushing down instead of being passive, using and winning with literally every weapon in the game, ranging from greatscythe to crescent axe, etc.
But none of them ever had more than a dozen viewers and I don't even remember their names now. It seems like actually being good at the game is a terrible way to get your name out in this community.
how do you want this npc miyazaki?
just fuck my shit up
REMINDER: this list DOESN'T EVEN COUNT all the new firearms and tools that we can be certain will be in -- that weird rifle-cane that the NPC ally hunter used in the demo is one such weapon
>so homeless people are just "asking" for money?
>Hey would you have an extra dollar man?
That is LITERALLY asking.
nah, like you just read above
>You'll accept that since you have no choice.
You're going to deal with this no matter what :^)
your help is temporary at best -- it's clear that she's dying and that the humanities are only acting as painkillers, if they're even working at all (she's the type of person to try and fake not being in pain so you wouldn't worry).
Killing her is the most merciful option, and is the best thing you can do for her, period. Quelana is right.
>almost literally double the amount of trick weapons in the game, adding 11
>devs have stated that the total amount of added weapons/tools will be around 30 (!!!)
>DLC zones are in a Nightmare, which means they'll be permanent pvp zones
>proper co-op covenant / arena system in the League
>New areas look super cool, lorewise, and how they fit into the setting
>fight legendary figures like Ludwig
TOH is going to be AOTA, if not greater
Literally going point-for-point to address each and every one of the game's flaws
painted world of cut and unfinished content of ariamis with demon's souls crows everywere and des inspired enemies
>>DLC zones are in a Nightmare, which means they'll be permanent pvp zones
>Remember how I couldn't even reach amygdala bwithout disconnecting due to a constant stream of invasions.
Well thanks, anon, you just talked me out of buying the DLC.
bleed do all damage at once, from 20 to 50% , and poison do damage very slowly in das, like power within. in ds2 poison is fast like plague in des, and i dont know about bleeding in ds2
For PvE can be useful in a lot of situations, but some bosses can be immune. In pvp it's basically useless since everyone will be carrying around moss in either game, if they aren't you didn't win because poison is good, you won because they were a shitter.
useful for some fights in DS, useless in Das2. PvP:
one of the best ways to fight in ds, completely fucking useless in das2
It doesn't outside the nightmare zones, that's why the nightmare zones are so fucking crowded with it. People that say BB has no PVP are the people that generally minmax and troll the beginner areas, and those people can go fuck themselves because they don't have the balls for a proper enemy that's expecting them.
People just still don't understand that for successful invasions in BB you need to move around as you need to resonate with the host by standing near the place he is in another world, so moving around the location is a better way to catch hosts. I'm getting way more traffic in BB than in DS1 and don't need to go through constant asspain of getting more orbs like in DS2.
Nah, forcefeeding her humanity is actually healing her. A bit. After a lot of humanity.
What I´m curoius about is how having giant parasite eggs grow on your body would help
Even if it´s just painkillers, that´s still better than the what the rest gets, they just don´t get anything in the best case and go hollow in the worst.
>>humanity hurts all the firekeepers by clinging to them and corroding their skin
only the dkmon knightess is mentioned to anything like this be happening , anastacia is fine after you revive her. also you are fucking forgeting that the fair lady is a chaos demon.
I saw like 4 signs down in the burg earlier. 3 white, 1 red. And a lot of coop still happens before gargs, so I assume townshit still has pvpers. And with ds3 drawing near, it's sure to get some more players coming back for a bit.
In DaS1 poison is kinda shitty. No good or easy way to build it up and the damage is underwhelming for the effort. The only real use of it is bow-cheesing things with poison arrows.
Conversely, bleed is godlike. It is attached to dozens of extremely good weapons with little to no tradeoffs, easy to build up and triggers to cause massive % based damage instant to the target. Some bosses are vulnerable but most bosses and more than half of the enemies in the game are immune.
In DaS2, things are reversed. Bleed is hard to build up and most bleed weapons either have too little buildup to ever trigger it, or have decent buildup at the expense of being shit weapons. It procs to deal a flat 200 damage and reduce the target's max stamina for a few seconds (which essentially just means there's a few seconds before you can begin building it up again).
Conversely, poison is great with several good weapons that can build it up, and a variety of effective specialized means of inflicting it quickly. The poison DoT is much stronger in DaS2 (about 1100 damage in total), making it a viable, though specialized, playstyle in both pvp and pve. Unlike DaS1, there are very few enemies immune to either status effect and most bosses can be poisoned.
I remember reading SOMEWHERE that the eggsacks actually store the excess humanity for the Fair Lady.
So maybe she eats the Humanity you give her to soak the poison out and then expels the poison-soaked humanities as worm-things?
I always thought that the egg-bearers were carrying Quelaag's eggs, not her sister's. After all, the Fair Lady mentions that all her eggs have died, and Eiyngi is surprised that you don't have eggs on you when you first meet, despite having never seen her before.
It seems that Quelaag's conditions for joining the Chaos Covenant involve strapping you down and pumping eggs into your abdomen, and you've just got to lie there and take it.
>In pvp it's basically useless since everyone will be carrying around moss in either game
whenever i was watching some ppl pvp, i was wondering whether the poison-players just failed to stay close to the enemy in case they want to eat moss or if moss is actually broken
The katanas don't really get the bleed effect off most of the time. The best way is golden tracer. It also helps indirectly because you will be most likely carrying red moss and the red moss animation looks like a divine blessing animation, so you can psyche your opponent out by using red moss at random times.
Description of her soul:
A Fire Keeper's soul is a draw for humanity,
and held within their bosoms, below just a
thin layer of skin, are swarms of humanity
that writhe and squirm.
To her, the countless eggs which appeared
were cradles for each tiny humanity.
>to her, the countless eggs which appeared
I always thought that that was how she perceived them, not as they actually were
>oh look, these cute little eggs
>it's almost as if they're for the humanity!
It's something tender and motherlike, but also a delusion. It fits her
Anyone down for a fresh co-op run in DeS, DaS, or DaS2? I'm on PS3 for all of them. We could do some PvP too.
I should clarify:
The reason that I think this phrase refers to her perception of them, as opposed to their actual state of being, is as follows:
The fact that the description opens with "to her,..." is telling. If it were literally describing the eggs, it would be better to begin with
but adding the emphasis on
>to her, the eggs...
Gives the whole phrase a much more heavy emphasis on the idea of her perception of the things.
In addition, the Fair Lady mentions to you that her eggs have "gone still." Yet, the Humanity that claws at the firekeepers are said to "swarm" and "writhe." The two descriptions are in conflict if we assume that the eggs are literally cradles for her humanity(ies?)
tempted to do another ds1 run, faith this time.
but not sure what weapon and armor to use.
was looking for something interesting. already had greatswords, scimitar, great scythe, all kinds of rapiers.
I really fucking hope they do factions right in DSIII. In DS they were fine in a sense that you could reah them all quickly, DSII was shit, some like Dragon covenant you couldn't even join until almost the very end.
I'd have to chalk that one up to gameplay, since FROM obviously doesn't want to reward players for being shit at fighting the boss
Yes, lorewise, it would make more sense for Quelaag to give you a pass if you show up hollow with 00 humanity on the counter.
I mentioned in another thread that it would be neat if the replaced RES with a SPEECH skill, so that you could hypothetically talk your way out of situations like this -- still as useless as RES, but more fun from a lore and RP standpoint. If no-one remembers the specifics, I could elaborate again
>quelaag have unused dialogue btw
>Year of our lord and savior twenty and aught fifteen.
>bringing up quelaag's dialogue like its not known
Nigga is u cereal?
Nearly every NPC has cut dialog.
any other ideas?
DS also had the problem that some of them were halfassed.
and the covenant items/spells had no consistency whatsoever.
stupid question, but i heard this somewhere in the last couple of days: do chaos pyromancies scale with humanity?
>stupid question, but i heard this somewhere in the last couple of days: do chaos pyromancies scale with humanity?
Yes, but only to a certain degree, though I am not sure which, I think something like soft cap of 10 and hard cap of 25, its been years since I played DS and I was rocking a faith build so I'm not all that knowledgeable about chaosmancies.
but it was recorded
yea but they cut all the dialogues of quelaag; and most of cut dialogues are useless.
theres dis lil video
>what is CE
Looking at it again, I really would like a slower-paced souls game. Not combat-wise necessarily. Rather, you'd spend more time exploring/navigating and enemy encounters are farther in between but harder overall. That's the feeling I get from the trailer.
all this video does is fill me with the rage of knowing that there will never be a hammer class between hammers and great hammers, like how greatswords exist between swords and UGS
how much vitality points should you have for your average spellsword build in DaS2
i feel that i'm going at something the wrong way, considering how i keep dying like butter even when wearing the heaviest, most damage resistant armor I can
I would do that in Dark Souls 1, but in 2, there's just a lot of high damaging enemy spam and really unclear attack animations/shockwaves that it doesn't seem as viable to me.
Yeah people really need to understand how light refraction works, and that it only appears blue due to that being the shortest wavelength, in fact Butterflies aren't the same colour you think they are either.
No they're not, quit being bad. I don't know why Dark Souls 1 gets a pass so often but people try their absolute damnedest to make Dark Souls 2 seem more unfair than it really is.
If that were a Dark Souls 2 webm you'd be creaming yourself at the thought of yet another opportunity to flair your neckbeard at the game.
ok, i'm going from one to the other
in 1, they don't fucking swarm you with tanky fuckers who kill you very quickly in tiny rooms. whenever they do swarm you, its with shitty little hollows and the like who you melt like butter and are only even a threat if you are paying attention.
In Dark Souls 2, they throw a million fast as fuck guys who are super strong at you a lot.
some giant bosses that you fight once is not the same thing as every enemy in the game including bosses and normal enemies, and this things aren't even in the level of ds2 bullshitness.
it IS unfair as it looks like, the game was made to be unfair for the sake of being ''hard'', nor to be fair, like ds1, these webms of das1 were not intentional, different from ds2 that had a billion patches and even a new version that was sold as a different game that have the same hitboxes and grabs bugs and new dlcs with new enemies with hitboxes and grabs bugs.
that was almost funny, retard. you know there's a lot.
Anyone know what the story of DS3 is?
>how about you post some ds2 bullshit then
>oh right there isnt any
jesus fucking christ you have the worst case of post purchase rationalization
practically nailed it. i'm willing to guess the shitty fast and glidy animations are the result of both the team being stressed to release on time, and the fact that they're "hardcore difficult" means they weren't actually fixed.
>It's not "every enemy". Have you considered that you're just not good at Dark Souls 2?
>see bullshit all the time
>bullshit happens with me
>huurr you are bad
i already finished das2 and it's easy as fuck with some spiked of ''difficulty'' when you have to fight multiple enemies at the same time
screenshot related is my character
also horrible director, the director of the last dlc was much better than the one that made the default game. Don't forget that bandai fucked the maps up and this literally ruined everything.
Anyone still playing demons souls? I'm looking for summon signs. but Im just guessing the game is dead.
>ds1 drones getting btfo
is ivory crown actually going to be good?
i've been going through the whole game, currently at sir alonne in iron crown, who is fucking bullshit sprinkles with his mind boggling "fast anime katana teleports behind u" style that clashes with what the setting is supposed to be.
its not hard but it is unfair, like the rat sif boss ripoff, 3 hats poisoning and stunlocking you while a giant rat attakc you, this is not fair, also a enemy that grabs you when you are hitting him from behing is also not fair. Also ruin sentinels, i can stay typing all the day.
>a wide variety of Dark Souls II hitbox webms in every which location
>one webm of Dark Souls hitboxes and one of a rare glitch, both only in the same boss fight and room
O i am laffin sunny
i want a /dsg/ about des, das1 and das3
miyazaki general when
ds2 posters of /dsg/ are the australians of /int/
>das2 isn't unfair
Let's just look at a random ass enemy then. Armored Turtle Knight
>reduces a ton of damage
>not able to be backstabbed
>not allowed to go behind it
>has god tier tracking and can do a full 360 in 200lb armor while swinging a giant mace
>thanks to the tracking you cannot even get beside it
>only way to fight it is to cheese with range or face it head on like an absolute retard
>if you don't have enough agility, you die
Or hippopautamus enemies
Or the knights at dragon shrine
Or the heide knights
Or basically every enemy in the game since they all have god tier tracking and don't let you use any strategy to kill them other than "walk in to bait attacks, then attack as many times as possible before they recover" or ranged attacks.
Now do it on the other platforms like the rest of us.
i don't even get the chance to learn his patterns most of the time, I'm swarmed with fucking bullshit every time I attempt to reach him. They at least could have set up a shortcut after you go through the initial gauntlet.
Shoot the small rats with a bow, or just kill them before the big one appears. Don't stand near enemies like a dipshit if they're about to grab. You're not a pro at i-frames, get out of the way. The ruin sentinels are easily dispatched with any decently upgraded weapon, and for they most part they take turns attacking
Don't blame the game for your failures.
I've actually posted two different webms of two different boss fights, and now I've posted a third.
Did you seriously use the ironclads as an example of a "bullshit enemy". I'm convinced you actually are bad at the game. Dodge and punish the hippos, same with the drakekeepers. Parry the heide knights, backstab the spear ones.
You disappoint me /dsg/. You'd think a group of people passionate about a game series that is renowned for it's challenge and difficult would cry a lot less.
Does anyone know exactly how tail cuts work in DaS1? I tried searching but couldn't find any info on it. Is it based on number of hits, amount of damage, or something else? Strangely I feel like it's based on poise damage. The obsidian greatsword is one of my favorite weapons and I've made several builds based around it. Whenever I use a good poise breaking weapon it seems to come off faster.
>it does modifications
He thinks its the same thing.
Are you retarded? Iron golem's grab attack goes through his legs because he actually puts his arm through his legs and grabs. The only thing here is a visual glitch where it didn't show the hand go through the leg because the hitbox had already connected with the player.
shooting one rat triggers the boss.
the ruin sentinels hitboxes when they thrown their shields is broken, and they are 2 or 3 at the same time, its a patience test to kill them, and there is nothing to hide like in ornstein and smough
fuck it's not but you can do things like first person view
>You'd think a group of people passionate about a game series that is renowned for it's challenge and difficult would cry a lot less.
I think you might actually be a Bamco marketer.
>now I've posted a third.
I think they were talking about how you cherry pick things that dont happen often or aren't as big of a deal when they happen. Its okay dude, ds2 had a really shitty pve, worse than ds1 and ds1 had quite a few flaws. Before you sperge, nobody is saying ds1 is perfect, its just that ds2 really took the piss when it came to world design and hitboxes and enemies and enemy places and story and NPCs and reskinning weapons and ADP in general etc etc
The knight clearly gets sucked into the grab but I guess Dark Souls 1 can get away with "visual glitches" because reasons.
You can kill the rats before the big one attacks you. You can kill the ruin sentinels in about 2 minutes if you're not dicking around the whole fight.
You're still blaming the game for your faults. You should stop doing that.
Way to add nothing to the conversation.
>I think they were talking about how you cherry pick things that dont happen often or aren't as big of a deal when they happen.
You just described nearly every Dark Souls 2 complaint.
>The knight clearly gets sucked into the grab but I guess Dark Souls 1 can get away with "visual glitches" because reasons.
>sucked into the grab
I think you might actually be retarded.
Just played DaS for the first time since the release.
So is Manus the Fertive Pigmy? If so, does that mean his soul is the Dark Soul?
If so, what does that mean if the Chosen Undead absorbed the Dark Soul AND linked the fires at the kiln of the first flame? His soul is used to power the flame is it not? Is it possible we could have started an age where fire(gods) and dark(humanity) can coexist?
Also why did Gwyn go hollow? I thought only humans go hollow? Undead is a human specific curse is it not?
>You can kill the rats before the big one attacks you. You can kill the ruin sentinels in about 2 minutes if you're not dicking around the whole fight.
>You're still blaming the game for your faults. You should stop doing that.
yea and you can also finish the game naked and beating everyone with your own hands
i didn't said is impossible, but the game IS made to be annoying and unfair unlike das1. The only bullshit das1 enemy is the hellkite drake, fuck him. And the bed of chaos that everyone knows about.
>Way to add nothing to the conversation.
yeah, i guess you're right. my insight of you being a Bamco employee is just as insightful as this post being made of text that I have typed with a keyboard.
>You just described nearly every Dark Souls 2 complaint.
that's bullshit and you know it, you marketer piece of shit. practically all the enemies in Dark Souls 2 have bad, floaty animations, they're all crammed in together, the world layout makes no fucking sense in any regard, both from a story perspective and a gameplay perspective, with bonfires being either right next to each other or after a long haul filled with a whole bunch of shitty enemy spam rooms.
Fuck off, Bamco. Don't shit up Dark Souls 3 by making it almost entirely like Bed of Chaos, like you did with 2.
i know this sound like an asshole but read the wikia, see the pages of items descriptions, rings, npcs and etc, they will tell you about the lore more than anyone could do in a post here.
and they fucking had the gall to sell it as a seperate game. jesus
I still didn't really get an answer about how much Vitality I'd need in Dark Souls 2 for when I eventually get hit by a poorly telegraphed attack, but that's because the marketer swooped in to save face on his shitty game.
That doesn't change the fact that that was clearly a bad hitbox (or as you call it a "visual glitch")
If Dark Souls 2 were unfair then you wouldn't be able to beat the game naked and barehanded. The whole reason you can do that is because the game is quite fair, just like Dark Souls 1.
The only part I somewhat agree with you on the disjointed world.
What part are you wanting me to address? I disagree with you saying that the games have bad PvE, but I didn't really see the need to mention it.
>DS2 has strong enemy gangbang encounters
I want to say I wish this meme would end, but I'm convinced that you're actually retarded enough to believe pushovers like Syan Knights and Bastille Soldiers are hard in any way.
>get her down to 25% health ez
>she does this AOE that one hits me everytime
I'm running out of the purple moss and when I went human there were no summon signs besides the NPC who is shitty
dsg right now: my slightly above average game is better than your slightly above average game!
why cant you just get along
>What part are you wanting me to address?
the part where I mention ds2 has way more issues than ds1 in pve and I didn't mention this but also how youre going full damage control and cant seem to grasp that ds2 is worse than ds1 in many many many ways
It wasn't a bad hitbox though you fucking retard. The guy was standing right between the legs, therefore he got grabbed by the grab attack that goes right between the legs. The glitch is it didn't show his hand down there, the hitbox was totally legit. I literally was fighting iron golem today and got grabbed that exact same way except it showed the full animation.
That has been /dsg/ since DaS2 was announced. Most of the people lingering here in these threads just while away their time complaining about games they don't even play anymore while we wait for the next one to roll along.
> they also ignore webms and posts like this guy do
like I said earlier I didnt see any ds2 bullshit webms but I did see ds1 bullshit webms
also at the end of the day all souls games have their share of bullshit and good things
way to cherry pick, as well, faggot. even then, regardless of how much health they have, the sheer numbers of them, their terrible animations, and the amount of damage they do make them fucking awful to deal with.
Get fucking mad, marketer.
There's not much to say - I mentioned this already but the only thing I agree with is the world not being connected very well. I disagree with just about everything else except for adp, which I'm neutral towards.
So he got grabbed before he actually grabbed? How is that not bullshit?
>why cant you just get along
Because as soon as From crapped out the third Souls a conspiracy was formed against one of them.
That's why you're using vague bullshit to rationalize your shitty play style instead of naming any specific scenarios, because you know you'll be called out for being the retard you are when everyone sees you crying about Syan Knights.
>If Dark Souls 2 were unfair then you wouldn't be able to beat the game naked and barehanded. The whole reason you can do that is because the game is quite fair, just like Dark Souls 1.
unfair don't means impossible, you can only do something like this by exploiting the game after you already know everything, this is the same as some moments in das1, like skipping the undead burg so the hellkite drake don't kill you later, or jumping in the elevator so seath don't have to kill you.
for example, talkinga bout the bosses the ruin sentinels, i already think one of them is enough to a boss, they are already a challenge alone, there's no need for 3, but if you look at the other bosses, you can beat most of them without any effort, like the flexile sentry,Najka, the congregation etc, it have very few good bosses as pursuer, it's annoying that he appear all the time but the first time is cool,Looking Glass Knight, velstad(aka garl vinland) and darklurker, etc. The main problem is 1-grab attacks, most of them are broken with normal enemies and hitting you when they shouldn't, or not hitting you when they obviously should hit you, that is not popular in the webms but i know it also happens a lot after you leveled adp or whatever.
But the worst things for me were the npcs, they ALL sucked. They are so bland, so lifeless...
you never saw them in YOUR LIFE?
The ruin sentinels are not hard and I've had very few problems with hitboxes.
I know I've been telling you to get good this whole time but it honestly does sound like you just need to get good.
i don't even remember what the syan knights were
so you are pretty much cherry picking a shitty weak ass enemy, and ignoring shit like Shrine of Amana, the first two DLC areas, the trashy, over the top Gargoyles fight, and so on.
>Shrine of Amana
There's a single encounter that's a bother, which is right before Rhoy's Resting Place, and the rest of the level can be easily beaten through simple logic.
>first two DLC areas
Shitty fight since there's a big chance you can encounter them too early and get swarmed.
In short, you suck at basic mob management and video games in general.
>and get swarmed
The gargoyles trigger based on HP, not time. It's not a DPS race fight. The boss fight is designed such that you're forced to briefly face a 3v1 every time you get close to killing a gargoyle. The low-HP gargoyle's AI changes to become less aggressive, and it mainly backs off and uses fire. The fight can obviously be steamrolled in seconds flat with a +10 strike weapon, but that's not what it was designed for.
It's also an optional boss made to be difficult because it's guarding a valuable reward. It would be asinine if it wasn't a challenging bossfight.
You're doing a really poor job at trying to hide your marketer background, and that you're using the "chans lingo" to fit in AND claim superiority.
Here's a tip for your marketing, Bamcoboy:
git gud xD XDXDXD pwned scrub!!11
>being this mad that you're rightfully called out on sucking shit at everything in life
>tfw autists are getting rekt in here because they aren't allowed to leave the thread
You have to keep arguing here no matter what LOOOOOLLLLL
Guranteed replies to raise your blood pressure every day :^) xD
>h-he's calling me out on my poor playing! B-better call him a marketer!
So, i heard Ingawrd is a cheeky bugged cunt on PC. If i copy and paste my save into another folder, will i be able to restore my character if he doesn't drop the key? Or is DaS' save unable to be backed, and i will have to install Cheat Engine?
>they kill you in 2 hits
This is true of damn near every souls boss.
>they are 3
You face one alone, and then 2 together in a much larger area. Their combined HP pool is that of a normal boss.
They are not particularly fast enemies and all of their attacks are slow and telegraphed.
I'd say closer to 40 or so. A lot of players do Anor Londo at around 30ish, but I always go a little higher so I can cheese S&O with pyromancy and I still get invasions and summons.
>This is true of damn near every souls boss.
nah its not, bosses that do this are always slow.
>you face one alone, and then 2 together in a much larger area.
yea, but they are fast, they jump around, they thrown their shields, and there is nothing that you can use between them and you, is just a room with nothing. ornstein and smough would be unfair shit without the pillars.
Yeah, that's definitely it, I suppose that's why I agreed that the Gargoyles were a stupid boss and that the Shrine of Amana had 1 bad encounter.
Get Miyazaki's dick out of your mouth for a second so you can get enough oxygen to think properly.
Honestly this >>121507407
But you'll be fine going over since by far a large group of people will over level, I get crazy traffic around 60 because Oreos and Smores are fucking assholes.
There are only two boss fights over Demons, both dark, and bloodborne that I detest fighting, those are O&S, and Royal Rat Authority. Because fuck one-hit kill Sif with poison.
yeah you let your facade slip for a moment to make yourself more relatable to the demographic
too bad you're gonna get fired now for speaking ill of NAMCO BANDAI'S DARK SOULS 2 SCHOLAR OF THE FIRST SIN BUY NOW FOR DOUBLE PRICE PLEASE EDITION
THIS MESSAGE WAS BROUGHT TO YOU BY DARK SOULS 2: PREPARE TO DIE AND GET MEMED ON LOL U FUKKEN KIDDIE GIT GUD LOLOLOL
Well you gotta understand a meta is just the most agreed on method by the vocal part of the community.
Vocal part of the comunity is generally smaller than the non-vocal part, meaning that meta is actually in minority most cases. There is a large group of players that don't go to sites and aren't restricting themselves to any particular meta, most of these people seem to naturally end up 60~ in Anor.
As to how, don't ask me. once I'm done with my full runs I prefer doing co-op and PVP in early areas, I only bro-op in gargoyles and Queelag because most people are still at the point where they actually need help rather than just doing pitty summons, and PVP has more variety since people are still gathering gear and learning about the game.
tl;dr A lot of people don't bother with meta for one reason or another.
making good progress on my enemy swapper table, dark souls 2 is oddly particular about how you replace enemies but it still works well
how about you shut the fuck up about your bullshit opinions. you've been desperately trying to persuade these shits that i am a marketer for half an hour.
its bad enough you are too bad to reasonable talk about the game without getting defensive like the infantile prick that you are.
>someone disagrees with me, OMG FUCKING SHILL BAMCO BOY PRAISE MIYAZAKI HALO SOULS 2 IS GARBAGE LALALALA
the autism and mad in you anon is so astounding its hilarious.
i got these numbers from some guy who did some testing and he got the most action at these levels.
60 is a bit high, but 50 is not unreasonable if you dont skip most stuff before anor londo and die some times.
dont people just summon manly eater mildred?
>PVP has more variety since people are still gathering gear and learning about the game.
i really wanted to do pvp in the burg since it's my favourite area. but it's just so unfair, even with crap gear and no humanity
well in that case i guess you'd wanna stay at the end of whatever ng cycle you're on in dark souls 1 so you can farm the kiln knights. for 2 i can't really see a difference since so you get so many upgrade materials
i think i've only been gravelorded once and that was way back on the ps3 before ptde was a thing
>better than nothing
But is it, really?
