SE's latest financial results show a $102M operating profit, on track to have their best year ever.
>get vaguely interested in Dissidia
The designs in FFIX were always ugly, but damn.
It's still a pretty tricky market. They were making smartphone games during Wada's reign as well, but it didn't mean shit because the games were terrible. Wada's Ryanair approach killed everything it touched.
We've come quite a ways.
This little fucker can go choke a bag of dicks. Don't have Shellgra (sp?) at all and he spams the hard hitting AOE like a cheeky cunt. Just a couple more Greater Earth Orbs but none are dropping, thinking of trying a RW with Shellgra or an equivalent or perhaps the one with protect and heavy regen. Y'shtola and Terra were trying their best to heal, but it just adds up.
Any particular RW better than another for damn good magical defense? I don't have the firepower (even with Firaga, Fira Strike, Fira, Diaga) to just burn him down.
How do you not have Shellga if you've been playing at least since the XIV event? Either way, a Sentinel's Grimoire or Stoneskin II RW + Magic Break is enough to make this guy do fuckall for damage too. Generally, you should always bring one of those RWs if you aren't confident in your gear and hones or unless you have a clear strategy in mind and know you won't require the mitigation.
I disliked this battle. It caught me off guard that while I was doing 9999 damage, his bar went very slowly down. He also looks fucking retarded
When are we getting the bonus battles?
>I thought I had lost the ability to get hyped for a game.
>To many disappointments and broken promises
Reminder that sometimes you can log in the free login campaign before the official start date. Also if you don't log out when it ends, you can keep playing until a server shutdown.
Can't wait to see the villains in new Dissidia
Lightning is a shit tier waifu, but she's fun as fuck to play in Dissidia. Terra's been my girl since the first game and I still frequently play her too. Really though, Dissidia has so many fun characters that I don't really main one.
this magnificent bastard is my champ dissidia-wise.
I haven't even played her yet, but I think its pretty obvious
>Playing FFRK ff6 event.
>mfw Deathgaze random encounter takes me completely by surprise.
>mfw I realize I'm perfectly equipped to completely ruin his day.
My god, this guy drops a lot of shit!
I got 30k gold, a Large Scarletite, 8000+ Mastery Points, and enough EXP to completely level up my level 50-something, non-FF6 party and get them halfway to next level.
If you do Falcon - Encounter, load up your Breaks/Breakdowns and Fire skills!
>Party of squishy mages.
Might be a bit of your problem. Out of all of those, I think only Tyro can use Magic Breakdown.
I always carry a full set of Breaks and spread them out so I can pile them all on at the start of a fight. I also try to make my RW either Chaos Dunk or something that increases defense like Sentinel Grimoire, Boon, or Lunatic High.
I just need some 5-star Mage weapons to have a complete spread for my team. I have Sentinel Grimoire and Fujin's Chakram, but 1 only works for 1 character and the other only meaningfully buffs Hope.
No on Eiko but I do have Arc...at lvl1. Time to grind fast before the event ends it seems.
You know the #2 mage Terra is actually pretty damn tough, she's always the last to die. Yshtola is nearly the same, just gets fucked over by RNG it seems a bit often.
Some beefier guys might be what the doctor ordered, though. Terra's tanking hits due to the bonus HP for synergy. Do you have anything good for Sabin to use? Tiger Claw with Crush Defenses works wonders.
I haven't completed Sabins quest yet, or have good gear for him. I'll keep that in mind though, and I agree about needing some tanks. Was a bit disappointed in Cyans defense. Seems to get hit hard even with synergy bonuses
>tfw Celes was autoattacking for 5k a hit on the trash in her event
What's a Cloud?
Celeste, Terra and Agrias are my FF waifus. Can't wait till FFT shows up so I can have em all in my team.
And the leader would be the Glorious and Most Powerful Professor Shantotto, if she ever shows up
Can't complain with the results though; getting the RM slot means Celes is perfectly workable for me now and I can use her as much as I want
Celes is needed for the EX++ fight anyways; on one hand it has 280k HP and requires wind element damage to be inflicted for mastery, on the other hand it's vulnerable to paralysis and sleep so you can probably just lock it down with those and kill it with ease
Anyone know about the classic to elite difficulty in the later dungeons?
I'm in the latest dungeon update stuff and some of them are pretty rough even on classic. How do the elite compare? Are the really 20-30% harder as the numbers suggest?
Trash mobs will hit hard and might not be one shotted by Quake and Ruinga with Mana Spring II anymore. Bosses start to have pretty impressive amounts of HP too so while you can still get through classics with mediocre hones, you might find yourself ability starved. At least that was the case for me when I cleared Big Bridge Elite for Vivi's memory crystal.
Come on anon: you don't need to diss other people's preferences just because you're defending your waifu. Celes is a fine gal and I'm probably going to use her quite a bit despite her mediocrity but she has not stolen my heart.
I didn't use her much before because the lack of a RM was too crippling of a drawback, but now that she has access to that she's perfectly fine and usable.
I won't bother rolling for her second relic because it sucks
I want her SSB now
It's not really worth it though; it's just 3 wind elemental hits that don't do that much damage each.
I did just use 5 mythril on a pull because of what you said and got a second Sniper for it; guess I have a 5*+ throwing weapon for FF6 now to use on Setzer for the boss rush and EX+ fights. Thanks!
Reminder that we just have a few short months left of sausage-shitfest in FFRK
with a short break in between with Lulu's eventbefore we reach the harem celebration; 8 straight events of qt goodness.
>Faris and Krile
>Fang and Lightning MC2
Stay strong anons, heaven is near!
Thank god Edge will be in Rosa's event.
hy there Exdeath, as you can see this is a disscussion about girls for mammal or any kind of species with sexual organs, this is not a place for plants, here you have lead to the gardening aile, have fun and don't let your spores get too exited >
That's a pretty bold accusation anons
>Faris and Krile
Best support, and top 3 black mage summoner
Will be a great character once thieves get their better abilities
White mage with breakdowns
>Fang and Lightning
Lightning already really good, MC2 makes her better. Fang I can agree is one of the worse on the list though but she's still easily the best dragoon in RK to this point
though its not saying much
Probably not great, but its FF7 you know she will be god tier sooner or later because of favoritism
Amazing character and ability set
White magic and dance is an interesting combo, could be good
She's already a fantastic mage, MC2 makes her one of the best characters in the game
All of these characters are in the upper echelon of FFRK characters, with the exception of fang and yuffie.
>faris, best support
What is Sazh with Vegas
Too bad Bartz exists
We already have Y'Shtola
I hear Agrias will be flat out better
Mediocre at best unless you're after more Diaga uses for certain fights
We already have those. Sure they'll be getting bonuses, but they're not exactly new.
Gonna do some slow dumping.
why that Behemoth in NOT casting Meteor or using a Tank for karting reasons...
btw, are we going to get more Event Bonus Quests? and we need some of the VI cast for bonus stuff on Back to Skies?
What is the song at the start of this video? It gives me chills, also can anyone make a webm of lilsette and the adoulin girl doing them attacks near the end?
i cried like a bitch, gonna miss the hell out of this game
I don't think it's been released yet. It's gonna be the final theme at the end of this final chapter of raptures. It's also going to have player voices "singing" the game's theme notes (like lalala~); there was a thing where they posted the bars and a sample for players to record themselves and send in for the finale. gonna be manly tears for everyone, that theme is so iconic of ffxi
He said the one at the beginning and the song that plays at the beginning is part of Forever Today.
The one at the one minute mark is a new music though.
And the nice thing about it? It's going to have vocals and it will be all the players that submitted their voice. Now that's some love you don't see in many mmos especially XIV which is just... I hate XIV. Something in XIV is missing from XI.
Getting acclimated to Seekers very slowly, it's almost a completely different game in how it works with Reives, waypoints, and the such. I did unlock Rune Fencer and may give him a go after all is said and done as supposedly he's a tanky Red Mage.
I know I sent in my voice entry.
I like XIV as well, in fact I'd dare say that XIV is more thought out in terms of pacing. XI takes far too long to get anything done. Though I admit that in XIV's case that means it comes and goes very quickly. But that's why I don't sub every month.
XI's case for me is that while I like the stories as they are very fun to experience, the traveling just kills it for me. The battling I'm not too fond of either, but I see the vast potential it has.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to the finale of XI, I missed my chance to be at the end of XIV 1.0 and I won't miss an opportunity like that again.
I think the biggest issues with XIV are twofold:
1) XI had a higher difficultly and time investment to make progress. This weeded out the more casual players and assholes. It left the community with people who enjoyed the experience the game provided and were committed to helping each other. XIV didn't foster this kind of player. It appealed to the WoWfags and other modern mmo shit of instant gratification while wanting and consuming more. This leads to my next point.
2) The XI content MEANS something, even now. People still congratulate new players for beating things like Chains of Promathia or Wings of the Goddess. That's because these stories were a time investment and people remembered the struggle and work put into completing them. XIV is literally holding your hand through everything and there's no real pay off in the end. Some tomestones or tokens and no real satisfaction for your vertical only progression. XI rewarded you in the end with the experience and a piece of gear that said "Hey, I put effort into this and experienced this with friends. We made it through to the end together." XIV doesn't have anything close to that. It's a soulless game. Beating missions doesn't mean anything in XIV. It's just about grinding as fast as possible and bitching when you don't get the boring drop you think you want.
Tl;Dr XIV is a game with no soul and no gratification despite it holding your hand through everything
The traveling I thought was a little ridiculous as well. Home points and survival guides help quite a bit, but even then there's so many objectives that have you go to some random "?" in the middle of no where. It presents no challenge or enjoyment, but is required to move on.
>what went wrong
I have Blazefire and Light is pretty mich my waifu - DON'T PULL.
1) It's just a 3x attack sb, not spectacular in the long run (easily outclassed)
2) 1% chance = disappointment
3) Light doesn't see a lot of use. She won't fit into parties very easily as difficulty increases and mitigation needs increase.
I am very happy I received it, sure. But pulling specifically for it is not a good idea (neither was it my intention when I got it).
If you do Rhapsoies content at the same time, getting help every now and then... within a week?
>When things start requiring other roaming warriors.
>When enemies have break/breakdown resistance.
>When enemies cast mass doom, requiring you to have better offense than defense.
Not posting in /ffg/ on a Friday night? God, you're pathetic.
Tremendous. First off, you'd have ExDeath going on a field day and sending every location to the void.
Then the FF7-10 crew would be fumbling between void portals to stop their world ending monsters.
But then none of that would even matter when Kefka would gain the power of the gods, practically destroying every location that hasn't been consumed by the void. World of Darkness would probably being having a good time with Kefka.
FFXII characters would probably drop whatever side their own and help out.
In the end, it would be absolute chaos... until the Warriors of Light from FF1 defeat Chaos, erasing the world and resetting back to square one, repeating the world for infinity.
The world would have no peace with some new evil force attempting to fuck it up every time one is defeated.
Then Mateus would be chilling in Hell waiting for the right chance to catch everyone off guard and revive all the baddies at once with the powers he literally killed the Devil for.
I did imagine a game like 4HoL/BD or some game with nameless heroes a la FFI or FFIII that takes elements from every mainline game and combines them.
>midgar expy city with sidequests or it's own subplot
>going to the moon
>one notable story related creature is a giant whale
>floating military academy
>massive tree related to the geography/lore of the continent(s) or world
>first continent is actually floating in the sky and later the rest of the world map opens up
I fucked it...
every game from FF to FFV was the same world with some ages in between
X and VII share the same universe but each happens in different worlds with X/X-2 being chronologically first
That's what I thought. I thought it was meant to symbolize the world being transformed into other adventures and fantasies.
Kind of what would later symbolize the world transforming into the various FF games. Kind of a 'The battle between good and evil never ends'.
What's the best
portableFinal Fantasy for me to move on to? I've played the really early one (One to Three) and the Tactics games, but none of the more recent ones. I also played and 100%'d Crisis core because I liked Zack
XII techinically has two Cids.
-Doctor Cid: Balthier's asshole father who was completely insane and the first Cid to ever be a villain.
-Al-Cid: A suave skypirate with a sexy eyepatch and chest hair exposing shirt. Nobody knows why he's here.
well Zirconiade was said that it was a manifestation of the lifestream, and I remember something among the lines that materia's magic was a manifestation of the lifestream too... so I suppose that the summoners only took the escence of the beign they took power (like the magicsystem on VIII) and reshape it
The PSP version of IV isn't bad and it comes with The After Years so there's plenty of content there. IV isn't as divisive as other titles in the series so it's a pretty safe choice.
All the PS1 FFs are playable on the PSP and Vita, but they attract a lot of shitposting from both fans and dissenters alike so I'm not going to open up that can of worms so just play whichever one seems the most interesting to you. VII is the title that brought FF to the mainstream in the west so you might consider that.
The GBA versions of IV-VI all have pretty good bonus content and if the sound quality bothers you, there are patches for that (honestly though, the unpatched versions are serviceable unless you're a purist).
I would probably start off with FF IV Complete Collection and move up from there or start from VII.
>somebody actually thought that the josef RM unlock was a good idea
IV - GBA, DS, PSP, PS Vita (DS has 3D looks and voice acting, PSP is best for 2D)
V - GBA, PSP, PS Vita (GBA is best, PS version is horrid)
VI - GBA, PSP, PS Vita (GBA is best, PS version is meh)
VII - PSP, PS Vita
VIII - PSP, PS Vita
IX - PSP, PS Vita
X/X-2 - PS Vita
XII - PS Vita in about a year
If you've beaten 1-3, I'd recommend working on 4-6.
>this reminds me to how the world was destroyed by.... caaaaaaarddd gaaaaameeeesss
>Celes with Dragoon's Determination is doing more damage with Aerora Strike than a 300 Mind Y'sholta is doing with Diaga
I love you Celes.
>mfw the game is auto optimizing the witch hat onto Cloud
Stop being silly, game.
>Prompto flails around like a retard
>Ignis is so good he can dispatch a monster by simply kicking a knife at it
Talk about adding insult to injury.
Why aren't you using Refia on your FFRK team anons?
Because my hones and gear aren't good enough to throw in a not very good character just because. Refia a cute though.
I know that I might need to do some S/L due Setzer's Low level...
ok I get now why people pulls their hair out with this dungeons... the mobs, heck even if they die in one hit they surely pack a punch and like to fuck with zapped cloud fuck this i'm outta here
If you plan for the boss correctly you should clear no problem. Getting there is another story. I'm almost done clearing the most recent DU. Mobs have about 12-14k hp, my cloud 68 with no RS items with boost deals ~3k, so I had to recast retaliate or use doublecuts to clear smoothly. Damage taken is about 1k. I'm cheesing with advance retaliate for bosses. Be sure to plan ahead though for the bosses.
what is this curative stuff thou speack of?
no seriously it's been a long time since the last needed my curaga that I forgot about that, between damage mitigation and full aggro and Mob Oxycleaners I never had to think about curative stuff.... well it's time for me to create Drain Strike...
So, I finally worked my way up to 50 mythril and I've decided that I'll do one last 11 pull before I start saving everything for the next celebration banners, if they're ever coming. Since I like Celes a bit, I'll be pulling on the FFVI banner. Question is, should I pull on the one already up or wait for the next one that should be coming soon? Which one would be best to pull on(not that the 3* and 4* differ between them)?
Pretty good so far, controls in towns/dungeons is a bit slippy though. Oh and money is pretty scarce here.
If anyone cares, pls add me.
Honestly, both banners are pretty underwhelming. The first one has both a unique equipment type (with an underwhelming soul break) and a katana for the worst samurai in the game and Celes's new relic isn't great either as far as unique SBs go. Mog's scarf is pretty good but its soul break is affected by break resistance so it's mostly just a shittier Grimoire or Stoneskin.
If you really want to pull, go for the second banner: sure that one's got two shitty relics for shitty characters too, but Soul Sabre has a unique (until we get Exdeath which won't be for a while) and powerful SB and Enchancer while not amazing is still a decent mage weapon for anyone who can equip it and gives you a soul break for one of the best mages in the game. Unless you really like Mog or Setzer there isn't much of a reason to pull on the first banner.
I got mastery on the alexander fight and fully cleared my first event! What should I do to prepare for the FF6 bonus banners? I suspect Strago, Celes, and Setzer are all needed for medals, is that correct?
Wait a few months and melee will be blowing magic out of the water.
Gilgamesh and Bartz will begin the swing in the melee direction. Once Cloud gets his BSSB and we get the FFT guys the transition will be complete.
That's because physical skills have really bad multipliers compared to magic. In mixed parties your mages are always going to be out damaging melees without buffs. On the other hand, if you have a full physical party you can make use of shit like Planet Protector and Hand of the Emperor for absolutely insane value. Besides, there are still a lot of great physical skills coming and melee fighters are still a valuable asset with Breaks and Breakdowns and multi-hit moves with an Advance RW. Once we get some of the new physical skills and Lifesiphon combined with upcoming SSBs, melee is going to be a lot stronger.
If you have Cloud's BSSB and bring a Cloud RW with his BSSB along you can have three characters pummel away at enemies with unlimited 4x physical hits with a high crit chance or 2x physical aoe attacks. You'll also be able to spam one character's SSB to your heart's content with Tidus RM3 (which boosts the rate at which your abilities build the SB gauge) and Lifesiphon giving you 45% of an SB bar in one turn. Two rounds of Lifesiphon with the RM is enough for a SB provided that you get hit just once over those two turns.
Lifesiphon to let you spam SSBs multiple times, more and better melee skills in general (Steal Attack, Lifesiphon, -ga spellblades...), better SBs in general for melee guys (Ramza's SSB is Planet Protector with Hastega attached, for an example)
Basically RIP magic.
Don't forget better RMs in general. You know how good Josef's first RM is (start with sap, but get +10%ATK and +10% DEF)?
The one Firion can get with his MC2 is that, except instead of sap it starts you with regen.
There's also one that gives spellblade skills a chance to fire off twice in a row when used, like Dualcast. That one is from Bartz's MC2.
I want to make Flare Strike just so I can have Celes spam it against bosses, but I want Meteor at R2 first. Curse my desire for optimality over my desire to make Celes the best.
Literally the only reason I'm even just waiting for R2 Meteor is because I am literally one 5* earth orb away. One.
She'll get first dibs on the best equipment though.
You call yourself a Celesfag? You're a disgrace to your waifu.
This guy on Reddit created a R3 Flare Strike just so that she can be the best character in his team.
If you've got a mitigation SB of your own, yes. Regardless, it's not like you need that for physical to be viable: that was just an extreme example of how strong it can potentially be.
Holy shit, check out this guys other posts. He solos boss rush and ++ fights with Celes. And that was before she had a MC.
God damn, our celesfag is a little bitch compared to this dude.
>this guy on reddit
He already knows about this, probably. He confessed to being a redditor, don't forget, and much of his time is spent there "gathering info" (read: being a typical redditfag).
Looks like he's a low tier member even over there kek
>R3 Flare Strike where most people don't have any 5* skill honed to rank TWO yet
>soloing bosses with her
I am a failure.
>tfw I equipped Wakka with the al-Bhed Jumper
wakka's racist but studies have shown that racist southerners are by far the largest consumers of interracial porn in the US
he probably jerked off every night thinking of rikku's sweet al bhed pussy
Easiest by far!
First boss: Weak vs Water and Paralysis
Second boss: Weak vs Fire and Instant Death
Third boss: Weak vs Fire and Paralysis
Bring water and fire for the medal requirements, and then go ham. I brought Sabin with Pressure Point for the second boss. Stupid easy.
I accidentally 1-shot the second boss with Celes because she had a Zanetsuken ++ and the instant death actually fired off.
Finally cleared the bonus quest for Hope's event. Tried it with magic spam earlier and failed because I ran out of uses and couldn't kill him before the doom timer ran out, so I had to resort to advantilate with level 70 Cloud. Got it just in time to start saving stamina for Sunday.
Setzer's bonus battles will have to wait until Monday.
I just tried the FFxv demo. It is my first experience with next gen. The tl;dr is that I want to kill myself because of how shit it is. It's like a super slidey unresponsive batman arhkam
What are they going to fix before the final game?
>Rinoa with 450 magic after Devotion using Waterga does less damage than Celes with 470 ATK after Dragoon's Determination using Aerora Strike (both hitting a weakness, neither boosted any further in any way)
I missed mastery my first try because I forgot one of the conditions was to not let anyone get KO'd, but the boss dropped a 5* wind orb to make up for it
Got Meteor to R2. I am determined to give Celes lots of levels tomorrow.
I am not so determined in regards to Full Break. Do I let common sense stay on top and save up for honing that to R2, or do I basically throw away any chance of doing that until orb combination arrives and make Flare Strike for Celes to abuse with Runic Blade.
4 more 5* lightning orbs (we get 3 next event so that's basically done), 7 more 5* power orbs.
So basically if I can have R2 Full Break by Rift of Recollection to use against Omega, it might be worth waiting, otherwise (or possibly even then) I might give in and let Celes go nuts with Flare Strike and try to make up some of the power orb expense by farming Tuesday and Thursday dailies.
Here's a video of the true Celesfag (the one who isn't pathetic) doing the Boss Rush with Celes and Setzer.
I only do the occasional 100 gem pulls and I got this.
Got a new phone, upgraded from my
iphone4and holy shit the game runs so beautifully. I not longer have to say no to using things like Ashe's SB because its too laggy.
Btw how are the ++ and +++ in the bonus battles? anything to know? I did the boss rush it was cake.
You fucked up
+++ Super easy. Vulnerable to Paralyze, sleep, poison, slow, water and wind. ++ was easier cause I dont even remember the fight despite finishing it an hour ago.
>don't remember this attack in fft
>realize it's throw motherfucking stone
Now the cancel status makes sense to me.
>100 gem pull for first banner gets me Darts
>now I pull my second Soul Sabre
Realistically speaking, am I ever going to need 4 5* synergy swords for VI or should I combine either my Zantetsukens or Soul Sabres?
myself I honestly don't know, since I combine only when I have enough of a type of weapon for 2/3 users and aren't very fond of combining uniques, but I'd say combine the Zantetsukens and leave the Soul Sabres alone
Is the upcoming banner worth doing a 50 on for the sole purpose of FFV synergy items?
I'm probably not going to use bartz or gilg for a while at least. But my FFV synergy gear is nonexistent, by far my worst realm.
-ga strikes seem really underwhelming to me. The price to upgrade them (Greater orbs) is so much more expensive than the 3-star strikes, and the increase in damage seems so small.
Gilga and butz gonna be awesome though and
cloud can finally fuck off my team
>figure I won't waste my orbs on making Raise just to cheese the Black Dragon
>ready to brute force down the boss
>Celes has Zantetsuken equipped
>procs from Fira Strike (which I didn't even know it could do) on the very first action taken during the entire fight
such a difficult fight!
I haven't played X-2 before now. Is there a hard-mode or anything more challenging? I'm not terribly far into the game yet (just finished chapter 1) and its just been insanely easy so far.
I would love to FFV it and AP grind to get some neat abilities for different jobs but I don't even think I can because grinding anymore would make it even easier.
On the plus side
Yuna's thong strings sticking out of her skirt is pretty damn nice to look at
I agree with this. I tried one of the + dailies earlier in the week and died horribly. This one's closer to heroic. Just bring mitigation. The enemies DO hurt, but it's doable mixed 40s through 60s characters.
Can materia that changes attacks to skills sometimes (ricards materia that changes it to jump, celes's that changes it to ice strike) work for people who don't have that skill set? (ie cloud using jump, tidus using blizzard strike)
You get 5 Growth Eggs every time you clear. If you can clear without a level capped characters, you get more out of doing all stages but if you need to bring in a level capped guy just to clear you should stick to doing one stage.
>tfw Dr Mog actually gives you something good for your 50 mythril
This still doesn't make up for the disaster that was "lucky" draws, but it's at least something. How good is Celes to have as a RW? I currently have a standard aoe attack set as my RW.
I just checked.
The difference between the two after factoring in the 5 growth eggs for beating it fully is less than 10k (9400 exp). Considering the 50k from the growth eggs can be allotted fully to any character, you are probably better off doing full clears even if you have to use a max-level character to pull it off.
Is Dissidia even gonna have villains. Looks like they are just going with Heroes in that full roster trailer. Heroes are cool but come on, where's my cloud of darkness and ultimecia ;-;
The sad thing is I'm dragging along Strago and despite being level 31 nothing can even TWO-shot him.
The + difficulty is somehow easier than the Heroic.
She was taken by the Emperor as an infant, raised in a MagiTek Laboratory, and probably spent large portions of her life under mind control. She pretty much had no identity of her own until she was freed from the Empire at Narshe in the opening of the game. It's a wonder she even knows how to talk.
The entire fucking party in FF6 is a broken mess.
Mind-controlled for basically her entire life, is approximately as human as a robot and is only half-human biologically anyways, with the other half being SUMMON
Underwent the same procedure that made Kefka into a world-destroying lunatic, mentally unstable as fuck to the point of attempting suicide on screen if you let Cid die, loves Locke
Keeps a dead girl in his basement, keeps latching onto girls to want to save them, keeps referring to himself as a "treasure hunter" instead of a thief, loves Celes
Sociopathic assassin that abandoned his own daughter
Womanizer to a horrific extreme even to the "literally a child" Relm, broke his alliance to the world-conquering kingdom for a girl he literally just met
Deliberately ran away from his destiny and responsibility as royalty to go practice kung-fu instead
Is friends with a yeti, entire species eventually wiped off the face of the planet, isn't even human to begin with
Abandoned by parents and raised by monsters, can't even talk properly
Haunted by the specters of his dead family and kingdom to the point that those repressed feelings come to life and attempt to murder him, claims to be a knight when in reality he is a samurai
Loves to live lies (first by living in a town of mages pretending to not be mages, then by becoming a cultist worshipping Kefka)
Her paintings come to fucking life and can completely shatter reality if she wishes, no parents (ignoring that her dad is in the party with her and won't say who he is)
Gambling addict, loves to abduct women, will break open graves to steal valuable possessions if necessary
Is a yeti.
Cannot do anything but mimic what others do, is techincally not even from FF6
So comparing Sunday + dungeon to Heroic dungeon, the thing that make + seem easier is that Crew Dusts and those Gremlin things with the long name I can't spell are gone.
So the + enemies might have higher HP and more damaging physical attacks than Heroic, but nothing they do hurts as much as that Sap attack Crew Dusts did. No Counter Moon Flute berserking the entire party, no Flash to make Berserk characters blind, and except for the Poltergeist everything on + is vulnerable to elemental magic. And Poltergeist is weak to Water and Holy (possibly others, I haven't tested every spell yet).
And yet somehow, they all end up being friends who will fight and protect one another.
I especially like Locke's story, because you just realize how fucked up he is. He isn't protective of women because he wants to fuck them. No, he's just mentally scarred beyond belief at the idea of allowing a women to get hurt. He thinks of Rachel.
Imagine that scene with him trying to revive Rachel's corpse. Celes and everyone else walk in on him, freaking out and talking to the corpse in the middle of the table. He's shaking and going crazy, because half the world has gone to shit. And just maybe. JUST MAYBE, this flaming bird will bring the charred corpse to life so he doesn't have to be alone.
When you think about it, Celes' attitude toward Locke went from "I don't need you protecting me." to "Oh... You're just as fucked up as I am. ...Oh..."
Please don't talk about Terra in such a degrading manner.
We know Terra slaughtered 100 soldiers under Kefka's orders as a way of testing her powers. Biggs and Wedge seemed more afraid of her than anything else. But she was under Imperial control for all of her teenage life, plenty of room for whatever perverted doujin shit you want to slip in.
funny waifufags in denial are funny
anyways, I shuld be leveling Lenne for the upcoming V event?
Bartz and Gilgamesh ay need to get serviced after working super hard on their event
>You'll never impregnate her and milk her like a cow once she begins to lactate.
Dungeon update and some more abilities
Renewing Cure: 3* white magic; heals less than Curaga but also gives Regen to the target
Snowball Flurry: 2* black magic, very weak ice AOE
Soaring Jump: 4* dragoon; Jump but with more ATK power (2.5x multiplier, on par with some 5* skills)
Basically absolutely nothing useful.
Snowball Flurry can be used by newbies as a poor-man's Quake... and Renewing Cure... it has Cura's curative ratio if I can recall correctly... still useless... but again can beused by new player as a a curative spell before they craft Curaga...
JUST GIVE ME STEAL ATTACK AND MACHINIST ABILITIES
Guy who wrote this here, I haven't been using quake on the + dungeon at all since I have Meteor and Ruinga, but I decided just in the name of experimentation to take Angel Wing Quake as a RW and test it out. Turns out not only is the Poltergeist immune to earth damage, so are the Defeaters. Although the Defeaters are susceptible to slow, not that that's really useful at all. Bottom line don't bring Quake to the Sunday + dungeons, rely on other stuff. As I said in the earlier post Water and Holy spells work well. Magic Pots resist Holy though, don't use it on them.
to be completely honest, when he was released in moonland I tought his SB was going to be Chainsaw or Noise Blaster
Okay, opinions on this config?
Cloud: retal &tempo flurry (slow for medals) Soldier Strike
Vanille: Curaga & Shellga. Mako Might (oerba's boon)
Barret: Power & Magic Breakdown. Reload.
I could drop Barret for Hope to get some decent AoE, but I'd lose breakdowns. I'm reseting my RW pool for an advance currently.
