>How do I setup Battlefront II?
I'll just remind you that Tatooine is the worst planet in the game by miles.
If that section makes you want to kill yourself, don't worry, that's normal. It gets a whole lot better as soon as you get off that rock, then you can make a decision.
What class are you playing?
Is a Bounty Hunting ass okay, with bonus Sith Lord and Akk Dog?
How to get Steam overlay working with swtor:
>add the swtor launcher.exe to your library
>run steam in administrator mode
>the overlay now works when playing swtor through steam
If you use Steam without administrator privileges the overlay won't work in swtor when booting it through Steam.
Enjoy taking hundreds of screenshots without having to worry if the screenshot function works or not.
>used to only make male characters

>now prefer playing female characters
And no armpit hair either
She's a win/win
>mfw manipulating Lana into quitting sith intelligence as IA

Does he ever stop being a passive-aggressive, overly emotional 14 year old stuck in the body of a grown-ass man?
>Become member of Dark Council
>Still fly around in shitty fighter
Why don't I get a dreadnaught to fly around in and then use the crappy fighter as a transport when I get to wherever the fuck I am going.
I know that. Just want to be able to see a cut scene where Nox is leaving his dreadnaught to go terrorize some planet. Or maybe you show up to meet Marr at the start of KOTFE with your own dreadnaught and fleet which you are always told you have.
if i find one more mother fucking ice scrabbler jerky recipe
>mfw even a dev admitted during livestream that he didn't like Koth
I like twi'leks. Im glad I made my trooper one.
So I know autocrit procs add crit chance to your crit multiplier, but what about abilities that proc higher crit chance over 100% chance but aren't technically an autocrit? Does it still add excess crit chance to mult?
>using a race that can't wear a helmet as trooper
There are some good ones, but most are bad. Honestly all my characters are aliens. I did have a human, but that was just to unlock the race bonus back in the day.
I do have other outfits, but for the most part I will not use helmets that hide the lekku. Defeats the purpose of playing a twi'lek.
No it's part of the new system when they merged crit chance with crit multiplier so it won't get nerfed. How much bonus damage is added exactly, i have no idea. You'll need to check the number crunchers on the forums or something.
I'm doing it. I'm increasing my deepus.
Just a few hours ago I was parsing 5.3k.
I'm still in shitty comm gear and 192 set gear (I do have a 220 MH,though), so more damage will be coming once I gear up.
That's the best kind though.
But that's not a Miraluka trooper, anon.
>option to kill Xalek
I have to take his bone head and send it to Harkun demanding a refund.
>most cost effective way to get to level 40 influence is buying 6083 rank 1 gifts
>it takes 5 hours using a macro to use them all
It's still faster than farming crystals and buying legendary gifts
Eh, it works for me.
I really like resurrection of old dialogue system. That dialogue wheel has outstayed its welcome for anything more complex than
1. I'll be happy to do it
2. Why not I guess
3. You're incompetent so watch me how I do it.
Why the fuck are the companions so strong? I feel like I am the goddamn apprentice, and playing without them is a bitch.
Because it's a single player game. I was doing the black hole for conquest points and thought the H4 was going to pain to solo with level sync. Turns out it's now a H2 and you just steam roll everything.
>What the Dialogue wheel says: [Glass him]
>What your character does: smashes his face in with a beer glass, putting him in the hospital and permanently scarring his face and your own hand beyond recognition
>some dude needs to get got
>fucking decapitate him
>give the head to his wife
god damn bioware that was brutal
>questing on my Shadow
>mob dies the moment I get 3 stacks of breaching shadows
It's a joke from some foreigner playing through wolf among us and not understanding the terminology, he thought he meant to buy him a drink and he was trying to be nice and his character ended up smashing the dude in the face with a beer bottle
I just did that quest too, in my cutscene I don't remember killing him, it looked like I just threw him on the floor and sawed his fucking head off with my knife while he was still alive.
My friend just started playing this game and hasn't really played an MMO before. He is too lazy to add new bars (just getting him to add a 2nd one because he ran out of room was a huge hassle) and definitely too lazy to bind all his abilities. How do I stop him from becoming a cancerous clicker?
>report to the Voss girl
>You have gained 50 influence with Xalek
>not putting him in jail so he becomes a secret boss later
>you will never omnomnom Valkorion as Darth Nox.
I laughed pretty hard at him being a cheeky cunt when I mentioned I wanted to add him to my ghost collection and his reply was 'me too senpai'
>Achieve rank 10 influence with Qyzen by hunting world bosses and honorabru beasts on Hoth
>Play 20 warzones (wins count 2x!)

>finally have enough credits to buy a purple lightsaber crystal
>ARTIFACT AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED TO EQUIP THIS ITEM
What's the exact name I have to look for?
Where do I find the schematic and what's its exact name? do I need op materials?
All I can find are shit white/blue/black outline ones, and those from cartel.
>go to stronghold after KotFE
>only holograms of companions left
>get on ship
>no one's there
>Glide into the endless void of space, all alone
>WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME I MADE MY MISTAKES
KotFE really isn't that good so far.
Vitiate is fantastic, and every scene with him in it is a joy, but the rest is honestly pretty shit. Every new supporting character except Senya and SCORPIO is an overemotional, immature, unlikeable teenager in the body of an adult. They're mostly useless too, I have no reason to want Koth on my ship, especially not after picking up SCORPIO. Arcann is a standard ebul BBEG and Vajayjay is just so cuhraysy super strong evil sidekick with no further personality.
The conversational options are also really generalized and take much less into account than they used to, forcing my character to both act stupid and outside his personality.
Really, as far as story and roleplay goes, it's the worst one so far. It's about the same level as Dragon Age 2.
this is what i wanna know. im a loser and like to hang out on my ship. are my newly recruited companions (and old ones) going to hang out there anymore? or is focus being shifted to strongholds, or some location in the expac areas?
Lokin is not a good man. hes very intelligent, and has survived into old age. guy has safehouses on probably every planet.
it most definitely fits his character to do as you suggest.
Just had a thought.
Khem Val has a spiritual/bond thing with you. Why the fuck doesn't he come rescue you. Especially since you've probably been feeding him force users constantly as Darth Nox.
After KotFE companions are slowly being added back into the main game through the alliance system. It also means you'll be able to use any companion with any character.
So far here are the companions which have either returned or their VA has recorded lines for KotFE
>Kira Carson (recorded lines)
>T7 (recruited through main story)
>Lt. Iresso (recorded lines)
>Qyzen Fess (recruited through alliance alerts)
>Aric Jorgan (recorded lines)
>Yuun (recruited through alliance alerts)
>M1-4X (recruited through alliance alerts)(republic only)
>Tanno Vik (appeared but not recruitable)(killable)
>Corso Riggs (recorded lines)
>Vette (recorded lines)
>Lt. Pierce (recruited through alliance alerts)(empire only)
>Andronikus Revel (recorded lines)
>Xalek (recruited through alliance alerts)(killable)
>Talos Drellik (recruited through alliance alerts)
>Mako (recorded lines)
>Kaliyo Djannis (confirmed in Chapter X preview)
>Scorpio (recruited through main story)
>Lokin (recruited through alliance alerts)
The ship droids are also recruitable. It can also be more or less confirmed that all non-basic speaking companions will be making a return at some point.
thanks for the lengthy reply.
seems like you cant pick and choose from every potential companion, to put together your ideal all-star cast, as it were. you can only pick from a few that are chosen for you.
perhaps my expectations were too high.
Qyzen takes about 30 minutes if you hunt world bosses and Lokin is actually not that hard if you stocked up on Jawa Scrap, it's just the Rakghoul tunnel thing that's making it hard.
If you're character has previously known the companion, you can skip their mission and recruit them straight away. Except for Xalek who you find at the end of the mission anyway and Yuun who is basically the tutorial companion for the alliance alerts system.
Tell me when I can use best girl with my IA and I'll stop complaining.
>Heskal calls me out on having Vitiate in my head
>only options are to agree
>can't say that he's a lunatic who relies too heavily on obscure visions
My character had a forced personality change this expansion because of the shitty selection of options.
I'm pretty sure that's not how it happened. Theron is the one who does all the slicing throughout the story and the only time I remember Lana slicing is when Theron gets caught and she mentions using his tools.
>Koth is an annoying faggot who starts pointless arguments, kills morale and doesn't respect authority, and his only redeeming quality is being a decent pilot
>your character is proven to be a better pilot than him the first thing that happens
>SCORPIO is also a better pilot
>still have to keep Koth on the team
I actually started openly disliking him when he called Gravestone "his ship", and then snapped and started wishing I could just space him after he told me his sob story of how Senya mercilessly pursued him.
>senya reveals her secret
>battle of endor theme starts playing
I started actively disliking him when he laid claims to the ship.
Started hating him when he started an argument about Valkorion being a better emperor than Arcann for no reason, got shot the fuck down by Lanas intel on the planet eating, and told by Senya that he only knew the squeaky clean PR side of Valkorion, which he tried to dismiss as a sex joke just so that he didn't have to lose a pointless fucking argument that he started in the first place.
Koth is Carth tier.
Koth is a faggot but "respect for authority" is what leads to bullshit like secret kill lists and the NSA spying on everyone. The more power someone has the more that power should be challenged.
So i was looking into SWTOR Unleashed to improve my framerate, but I saw that the thread about it had its posts removed.
Will I get banned for using it?
Are there better alternatives that aren't "Lower all the settings"? This computer can run games that should be more intensive than SWTOR at a faster fps, so Im just trying to figure something out. I don't want the game to look like total ass in exchange for FPS.
Respect for authority doesn't mean blind obedience of everything your superior tells you, it means not being a giant cunt who pulls shit like saying that the legendary warship the entire group just busted their asses retrieving and getting to function belongs to him personally, when he's nowhere close to some form of leadership position within the group, right after a daring rescue to save someone to take command.
Man, up until 1:48, that is what I expected from the Inquisitor. Sinister, manipulative and cunning. That whole segment shows the potential of what could've been, with Ashara especially, but also as the whole story instead of searching artifacts like brave archeologist and then become a ghost buster.
>deserter gets mad for a knight doing her job
What's annoying is that, even if you want to spend extra credits on convenience, there generally aren't enough gifts on the GTN to get you very far. The companion gift missions yield too few gifts to be more than a drop in the bucket. Want to get from 20 to 30 with grade 4 greens? That'll take 378 of them, loved gifts only. 30 to 40? 700.
And that's all you'd be paying for anyway, convenience. If you extrapolate the value of other gifts using the same credits-per-influence ratio as grade 1 green gifts at subscriber vendor price (in others words, ignoring the convenience value), then
at rank 20, green gifts at grades 3 4 and 5 are worth 606, 800, and 1006 credits.
at rank 30, green gifts at grades 3 4 and 5 are worth 825, 1250, and 1650 credits.
at 40 the metric falls apart because grade 1 gifts no longer give influence, but still, it gives a decent general idea.
These are terrible values. Grade 5 bountiful gift mission (generally the most efficient, by my math) cost 1790 to 1835 credits. At first glance, it looks like you're getting over twice that cost back at the higher tiers. Except you're cluttering up your inventory with gifts (ten gifts per quality, so you can reduce the load by paying more for rich missions), and most of the gifts you get aren't the ones you're after. It'd be fine if you could trade directly for the ones you do want, or sell the chaff and buy the ones you want with only a small loss. But the prices vary so much, and people need so many gifts, that most folks just go with the simpler option of 200 credit ones, followed by basic comm / common crystal bought gifts. Which results in a lower perceived value on the GTN in general, because of less demand. Especially junk like courting.
I don't like Koth because he feels more like a character inserted to fufill some kind of obligation from a story writing manual. His character doesn't feel like it grew organically from events. Someone in a writers meeting was like "we need a character who can represent the average Zakuulan so the PC can empathize with the Zakuul against Arcann, and be a LS foil for Lana's DS pragmatism." It feels like they put him in because they need to fit certain requirements for the plot.
Bioware has been doing this a lot lately, they put in these characters who don't develop organically through gameplay, they're just kind of inserted because they fill some kind of management/executive/marketing mandate instead of being grown organically through adventures with the player character like classic bioware companions are known for. The thing that makes companions like Imoen, Deekin, Garrus, Canderous Ordo, so likeable is that the expostion of their personalities comes from adventuring with the character over time.
I mean look at that Lt. Vega guy from ME3. Someone from Bioware actually said "huh well ME3 is going to bring in a lot of new players who are just going to skip to the end of the series, so we better put in a character so they don't feel out of place about being new to the story". Like it's so fucking stupid. Koth didn't need to be put into the game. It's actually pottery how Bioware mimics Lucas in putting in these uneccessary characters to fufill certain personality types to make the story more compelling. Hey retards, how about instead of making multiple one dimensional characters, why not give complex emotional layers to existing characters? How about instead of Koth, YOU JUST PUT IN THERON WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN DOING KOTH'S ROLE MUCH BETTER THAN HIM FOR LIKE THE LAST TWO YEARS?!
On a personal note but fuck this Mary Sue ass Gravestone. Even though they stripped what little dignity KotoR had with SoR, they really should have found the Ebon Hawk on Zakuul somehow.
>kinda tempted to get fallout
Just wait a year and get the Game of the Year edition. Much better bang for you buck, and more of the bugs and broken crap should be mostly fixed by that point as well. Only reason to get it now would be if you're a hardcore fan, gotten overly hyped for it regardless of its value, or expect to be playing through it many times in the next few years.
That was my original plan, mostly because I need the LS legacy stuff. But I can do it on a pub character. Still need to figure out which alignment I'll pick for Jaesa though if I go neutral.
This armor, it looks familiar but I can't pinpoint the exact name. I like it because it's so simple.
I need to know what the name is
>Standard gear changes appearance between Imp and Pub characters.
Well that was a surprise. That explains why some gear I looked up on that site didn't look the same on GTN for my character.
I think there's hope. I think the best part about Shadow of Revan is that finally the Republic and the Empire have likable and relatable contacts with the player character in Theron and Lana. I thought the voice actor for the wookie droid was really good and Shay Vezla is like the first neutral mandolorian you meet all game.
Like I understand the writer's dilemma about having to insert new characters from Zakuul into the player's party, but there's no reason to have Koth. He doesn't do anything that a different character could not do.
The worst part is how they think "oh well we need Koth to be a foil for Senya." NO. YOU DON'T. Senya is Zakuulan too and she is also disillusioned with Arcann's empire. He is not even a foil to her. That is my major complaint with Koth, he only exists to build tension between characters, he doesn't actually give any new exposition he just forcibly makes the story more dramatic.
The only redeeming factor is that he is "LS" but to acknowledge that is to acknowledge that Lana and Senya are one dimensional and predictable and that they're just DS and pragmatic while Koth is LS and idealisitc which is stupid because we know Lana is more than just "rah rah sith" and that Senya is already established to have different sides to her and an interesting backstory.
I got so surprised when you said Theron and Lana after "likable and relatable contacts" rather than Marr and Satele.
Man I hated Theron and Lana. They got better in KotFE, though.
>go pee after a cutscene
>come back to me standing there and some sage attacking me
>healer jaesa keeping me and herself alive
>sage too dumb to cc her
world pvp is ridiculous now with those companions.
>want to set the world on fire with azula but bh gear is so shit
>want to fight for freedumbs in the best looking armor but attack animations are dull
I hate how some characters get new shit, but others don't.
Marr and Theron still have their old outfits while Lana and Shatelle get new stuff?
Shatelle hasn't even done anything yet, just stand back and watch. Why doesn't she go help the alliance? Im sure they could use it, but no, shes just gonna give commentary with Marr's ghost.
Well we've had Marr and Satele forever and we never actually get to "know" them until SoR. Most of our contact is done through holo. Theron and Lana are atleast approachable and Theron is a republic character that isn't "we must spare everyone" and Lana isn't an imperial character who acts like "we must kill everyone". Both of them are pretty sensible, and instead of always being at odds with each other over morality like the majority of faction characters that interact with each other, the two of them tend to agree with each other more often then not instead of constantly fighting over whether to be homicidal or merciful.
I mean it's pretty obvious that when they started templating the characters they were like "ok guys we need the following"
>1 republic character, 1 empire character
>1 male bisexual, 1 female bisexual
>1 tech user, 1 force user
but atleast the characters evolved into more than just "rah rah jedi code rah rah sith code".
i wanted to be a field medic trooper with a blaster pistol sort of like pre expac Dorne was like. decided to dress up a healy smuggler in heavier/tacticool armor instead. my head canon is that hes ex republic military who got discharged due to smuggling spice.
so far my autism in that regard has been kept in check. good luck to rest of you.
Yeah, when I was getting Xalek on that one planet, some other dude tried to jump me, but my healer was so powerful that he couldn't kill me and for some reason wouldn't attack my healer. I killed his then another Imp player came along and helped me finish him off.
You do realise that three missions in this game take as long to sit through as an entire film
A short attention span is not being able to maintain interest for more than 5 minutes
you are correct. i say this as somebody who is very easily distracted, and cant be bothered to wait until fleet pass or personal shuttle stops casting to tab out.
i dislike using exp boosting items because i am so inefficient with my play time.
Do you spacebar everything? She has no problem using people as pawns and doesn't give a fuck about protecting individual lives. You could argue that she is morally "good" but she is still nowhere near the jedi.
there is no reason to keep him alive. i didn't want that thing as my apprentice, and i wasn't allowed to tell harkun to take this shitshow and call me when he finds real apprentice material.
>he self inserts as a woman
>he Plays the Role of a woman in a Game
Canderous may have been a violent asshole murderer but his war stories were the best fuckin' shit
I thought I would hate him after the first time I met him, but once I got the chance to talk to him for more than 2 minutes I just couldn't.
Bao-Dur was shit and boring though; it felt like he was just there to explain BAD THINGS HAPPENED TO US ON MALACHOR 5 which I kind of already gathered. I don't remember him growing or changing or doing anything really for like the entire storyline.
the old ones died so I had to replace them. unfortunately harkun only had these defunct shits in stock so i had to make do with that.
but now i don't need it anymore because i can get better apprentices. so i guess i'll do like the other anon said and send what's left of xalek to harkun in a box and ask for a refund.
i don't think he'll give me one though, i suppose you can't get a refund for an apprentice you killed yourself.
Ok niggers the Gravestone might be retarded as a plot device but fuck all this Ebon Hawk bullshit.
First off, the Ebon Hawk is only iconic for being a carbon copy of the Millennium Falcon. If you want another Ebon Hawk, guess what, Smuggler has one and so does Jakarro.
Second, the Ebon Hawk is not a warship. In KOTOR it was used because it's a fast smuggler ship and you needed to slip past a blockade. I don't know what kind of retarded headcanon you have that makes you think the Ebon Hawk could siglehandedly take on the Eternal Fleet but it's wrong.
I am sending you the head of that bony lizard you gave me as an apprentice. Apparently it went on a killing spree on Ilum, and also turned out to be weak as piss so I killed it.
You owe me a new apprentice, this one was quite possibly broken from the start.
Yeah, I remember that much now. Still, he's just kind of there, really; Bao-Dur adds nothing much to the story beyond being a capable tech dude.
He still sounds way, way less offensive than Koth, though. I think I'd much prefer someone blandly inoffensive like Bao-Dur than an unrighteous asshole mouthing off all the fucking time.
I haven't really interacted with Xalek much yet but aside from being a TRUE BELIEVER in all the Sith bullshit, which could presumably rub people the wrong way, he seems like a pretty interesting dude actually.
>Do the alliance quest for Xalek as a sorc
>he says he never stopped serving you in your absence
>despite officially being named a Lord he steps down once again to be your apprentice
>there are people who think Xalek isn't best apprentice
>not killing Harkun for giving you the rejects and then killing Xalek
Step up, but yes. However it was really to save face among the Lords since you can make a point about Ashara being your apprentice before you go back to Korriban.
It's a shame the girl apprentice has to die, she looked cute.
this guy got him beat
Kinda a shame he doesn't have any real character growth. He has like 5 or 6 convos which are basically just "You are a good master, let me do something for you" (you can tell him to go off a rival, find an artifact, or get money) then "My dad is dead, let me go do his funeral"
And then thats basically it. Shame really, getting him so late in the story.
I am Darth Fucking Nox. If he mouths off to me he deserves an electric current running through his veins. I cannot wait to murder him.
>tfw biowank makes him Quinn 2.0
I will throw a chair into the bioware offices
>Why keep Khem around when begins to think you're the next Tulak Horde
Gee anon, I don't know. Outside of the fact that we literally have the longest time getting to know Khem, having a fanatically loyal guard dog or two might be useful since we're on the Dark Council.
In this case it'll get sent to the new overseer.
I personally didn't kill Harkun because he now has to bow to me and is still a sad wanker dealing with shitty acolytes while I'm a Darth.
Much better than just killing him in an act of petty vengeance.
yeah cause having a warship that can destroy entire fleets by itself is so much more compelling and better for a bunch of fugitives on the run than a smuggling freighter.
Like it doesn't even need to be the Ebon Hawk, any fucking ship would have done better than this Gravestone, which from now on everyone should call "The Mary Sue" because that's literally what it is.
If they can kill you, they're stronger than you. If each new apprentice is strong enough to kill their master, the Sith Empire grows in strength. That's the basic idea of the relationship.
Khem is a Dashade assassin, conditioned to be a Sith Lord's servant. He eventually deems you worthy and stops being a tsundere slave. In his line of work there is no room for ambition.
Xalek had five fucking years to do something with his life, and he just became a Lord, mostly because all proper Lords were killed during Zakuul's conquests. And then he wants to step down from that and be your bitch again.
Worthless and better off dead. Actually just killing him is an act of mercy.
He kind of suffers from Legion syndrome in a way; he's an interesting character who's possibly even going to turn out to be antagonistic towards you, but you never really get the time to explore it and figure him out because oh well shit now the game's over.
Then they totally beef him in the next game by trying to make him likeable by giving him a horrendously shitty overly tragic backstory when he was already a sympathetic character. Eugh.
Yeah I said in the first fucking sentence that the gravestone is a shitty plot device but literally the only ship that would have been even worse than the gravestone is the Ebon fucking Hawk
>tfw no option to stop playing the game and just become Dark Council Enforcers.
Is it because I sided with Tormen?
Don't bother. Unless you played from the beginning there's literally no chance for you to do anything there but feed the other players who have all maxed out ships.
The only reason to do this is to get rep with your Fleet for the Hyperspace Ace armour set. Pic related.
So, to clarify, if you were to rip the mods out of an orange you get on, say, Coruscant or Dromund Kass, would they be statistically identical to something you get in the 60s?
>tfw forgot to attach pic
Fucking timers. If NuMoot wanted to get on our good side he should change /vg/'s timers so they're more like /m/'s.
If you rip the mods out of a sixty and put them in the DK/Coru oranges, yes.
>tfw that's almost literally what I've been doing since like 5 years ago
I'm saddened that Heroics don't give orange gears anymore.
GTN or crates from doing alliance missions. But they have like weird names liek Reforged Combined Vanguard Battler's Retrofitted NuWave Hipster Sentinel's Dedicated Reserve Headgear
I didn't mind Origins. It suffered from it's own hubris though; the whole differing storylines based on race and gender was a really neat idea but unfortunately what it actually meant was everyone has a really interesting start to the game and then it just nosedives into mediocrity and all the differences essentially vanish for 90% of the game. Also they have to jump through countless godawful hoops to keep you on the same story path as everyone else, such as not being able to become the king of the dwarves yourself 'just because'.
I have to give Origins credit for trying to be a new IP with it's own mythology and lore though. It could have just been another reboot or remake or rebranding but they tried something new at least.
>People actually defend that game
Seriously, I do not understand how you can. It is horrendous. Like, utterly atrocious. I think it's honestly the worst fucking game I've ever seen.
And I've played Mass Effect 3.
Yeah but your whole argument is retarded because literally everything in Star Wars is, as you call it "a copy", of something else. And the Ebon Hawk isn't anything like the Smuggler's ship. The Smuggler's ship doesn't have a history or a personality. The Ebon Hawk is literally KotoR's ship of destiny ever since it reappeared carrying The Exile in KotoR 2. It's the most iconic piece of KotoR imagery along with Revan and T3 and Hk-47. I'm thinking if you're going to use Revan and HK, hell you might as well bring in the Ebon Hawk and see how it goes.
>got tier 1 unoptimized pvp gear
>got forex to 50 influence
>decide to do ilum story
>solo the both ilum flashpoints
>with heroic moment it's less stressful and faster than grouping up
Companions are really OP. As long they don't bug out they can tank a shitton of damage.
