From what we know already what do you think of LoE so far?
I think it's just going to buff already good decks even more (Control Warrior with Obsidian Destroyer for example) leaving average decks in the dust
So this Discover key word looks like scry, right?
Is there any word on whether you discard the cards that you dont pick, or if they are shuffled back into your deck?
If the former, aggro will probably be the only ones to use it consistently.
who's ready for a new wave of card reviews from famous streamers where they turn out to be completely and utterly wrong once again?
I'm not sure what is best to combine with this but I'm damn sure going to be getting some extra boom bots
First wing opieOP, 2nd will have good class cards or the lego, 3rd will be trash, 4th has that 1-2 neutrals and a class card that will be useful. Might spawn some new form of cancer, won't fix any problems with the game.
So, this is going in every shaman deck ever, right?
literally every deck will run it. think of any deck you've ever seen thats half-decent besides aggro. it sure as fuck is filled to the brim with battlecries isnt it. it justifies thaurissan in control/combo decks so you can play it for 2 with some 7-9 mana creature for some gay ass combo on turn 9-10
>still no deck disruption decks besides janky ass mill
ebin counterplay my excellent compatriots ;)
Rule 34 of Elise fucking when?
You will never cum on her glasses after making a big discovery
>all the dragon synergy cards get double buffs
Twilight Guardian becomes a 4/6 with DOUBLE TAUNT!
>tfw you've already decided to buy
Yes, I KNOW I'm a good goyim, thank you very muchly
>+2/+2 from argus in handlock
>3+3 damage blackwing corruptors and fire elementals
>12/12 dragonid crusher
>+2-8 damage fireguards
>-4 shrinkmeister for shadow pain
>Draw 4 mill rogue coldlight
>2 mana crystal aspirants
>8 damage blastmage
>Steal 2 secrets kezan
>Gain 10 armor shield maiden because 5 wasn't fucking enough
>Double health twilight drake handlocks
>16 health healbots
It's going to be a staple in literally every deck
Did you know the "If you're holding a Dragon" cards are actually Battlecries?
The 2/4 taunt becomes a 3/4 taunt for 2 mana, the Twilight Guardian becomes a 4/6 taunt for 4, Corruptor does 3 & 3 damage, Azure Drake draws 2 cards, the Twilight Whelp becomes a 2/5 for 1 mana.
Even Shrinkmeister shrinks two minions, and Cabal Shadowpriest steals 2 minions as well.
>new cards that add value to your hand
>new cards that add value to your deck
Completely irrelevant, just look for the 1-3 cost minions with super powerful battlecries/deathrattles for the playable cards.
can go into many decks
playing against hunter? switch that paladin hero power that does nothing but buff his unleash for armor up
running out of cards with your face mage? life tap for double the card draw!
Brann is still a card that costs 3 mana, and it needs to survive 1 turn. Reminder before you shit yourselves.
Bravo, you sure know how to make people feel better.
I might be retarded because i play hearthstone but at least i'm not as retarded as WOWfags.
Is blizzard seriously releasing a worse patient assassin?
>Brann into Injured Blademaster
G R E E T I N G S
What's up with the matchmaking in this game? I just got done making a custom deck with basic cards and they matched me with a paladin with a deck full of secrets and legends. Is this common happening?
I can't believe the expansion comes out in 6 days
Can you Pre-Order and get special shit?
I want to Pre-Order again so I can get my 50 packs so I can shit all over your guys on Day1 again.
Finally, the card rogue needs.
a 2/1 with poison.
I love that 2 attack. What's the fucking point?
>turns out it's preeeeeeeetty shitty
>Discover mechanic doesn't let you search your deck.
>It doesn't even let you pick a random card among 3 from your deck.
>It just lets you pick from 3 random fucking cards that could be totally useless.
WHERE'S MY DECK SEARCHING BLIZZARD? YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN US DECK SEARCHING BUT INSTEAD YOU GIVE US RNG SHIT. FUCKING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Why the FUCK did they make it a 2/1? Makes absolutely no sense if you'll murder minions with it. Also, dies to fucking hero power.
It should have been a 1/2 or 1/3.
They need to fire whoever designs cards for rogue. I'm still fucking pissed how they gutted the Cutpurse, but they left Darnassus Aspirant intact, along with every other OP class 2 drops.
to this day i dusted 5 of these fuckers
What? Did you only now notice that it doesn't put the new cards into your hand, but hides them in your deck?
Average number of cards you need to see before you draw the 3/5: 15
Average number of cards you need to see before you draw the map: 23
Average number of cards you need to see before you draw the 6/6: 27
And then it turns the three last cards in your deck into extra copies of Elise.
>Naxx is going to be free at "some point".
Any source on that? Because we are talking about a company that's extremaly jewish.
Well this seems pretty good
There is almost always a death rattle on the board
Now we just need to find a deck to put it in....mid range rogue?
This meme is a little out of control, if you want to spend hundreds of dollars you too can make the control Rogue with Anub'Arak and its actually Tier 2 IMO, it literally can't be outvalued its just very slow. So adding a big draw RNG card to Rogue puts that deck over the top possibly.
Have they done anything right this expo?
Battlecry deck is go?
Worse? How is that worse?
Its a decent one drop that can trade up to whatever minion at any stage of the game.
Really good against control as this will be a one mana solution for any big taunt. A fine answer to zombie chow for an aggro deck on T1 and very good against dragon priest.
it's not super strong but it's certainly not a bad card.
As if it werent already difficult enough to play around all the secrets, they keep adding more
Who wants to be we get ZERO additional counter play options for dealing with secrets, again.
Varian is solid fucking gold compared to Elise. At least Varian CAN win you the game. Elise will never be anything but a 3/5 with blank text box.
Though I now notice it actually combos with the battlecry doubler, but it's still way too slow.
Is it possible feminists have ruined men so bad that awkwardly going for girls is better than what most men do so Trump is basically fishing the entire world?
I know its not but its a funny thought.
>that card is just as much of a noob bait as varian was last expansion
You forgot your Kappa. Don't worry I got you senpai.
Deck quality has literally nothing to do with it
IIRC its just based on rank. So if a good player with a great deck concedes for a few dozen games and drops to rank 20, he can just concede every other game and farm the low ranks for easy wins.
Casual is the same sort of thing, but the number is hidden. At least i think it uses the same system
>Shrinkmeister -4 attack
>Cabal steal two minions
>Vol'jin double life gain
Where mah control niggas at.
its actually an average 1 drop stats wise. assassin is a 2 mana 1/1, the very definition of under-stat.
the whole point is that it's a face deck card that can pressure taunts. If the druid deck has to spend their turn 5 hero powering to clear this instead of dropping their druid of the claw then I'm pretty happy for that to happen. Very few 1 drops will be able to elicit this kind of response.
Wish me luck boys.
Keeping the non paladin/rouge/mage arena dream alive.
>Vol'jin double life gain
You mean he trades his health then trades what he just got with something else
That could lead to some interesting shenanigans either way, it lets you manipulate their board for lightbomb/nova
I did for hungry dragon and I was 100% correct.
You don't seriously think that piece of trash is playable right? add a card somewhere in your deck, then pay 2 mana to do nothing and finally 4 mana for a 6/6 and making the rest of your deck unplayable. How retarded can you be to consider that good?
Darnit I don't care what people say I always get hyped for the single player bosses and beating the heroic versions by any means necessary. I know it sounds weird but I actually prefer the single player version of this game lol.
>I did for hungry dragon and I was 100% correct.
>What is potential synergy with cards we haven't seen
Just face it. /hsg/ is always wrong when they start screaming that a card is good or bad. They were wrong about it during BRM. They were wrong during TGT. Just wait till it's out and the top players make the decks to see how good a card is or not.
>every time I do arena I get warlock-warrior-priest
Unless League of Explorers adds an actual deck-searching mechanic to the game, we have all the information we could possibly need to declare Elise a nublet trap with a flashy ability that will never activate.
>decide I want to lower hearthstone's volume
>accidentally click on concede
I'm sure Blizzard makes this an easy mistake on purpose, all other games have an 'are you sure?' option.
>its actually an average 1 drop stats wise. assassin is a 2 mana 1/1, the very definition of under-stat.
Are you retarded? having more attack is meaningless, its a fucking poison card. Do you think the reason no one runs assassin is because its "under-stated"? no, its because there are better removal options available for Rogue.
Combo decks profit the most from it, however oil doesn't use it because there's no space for it, it's bit too slow, and oil already has preparation to combo stuff out. Otherwise, anything with Malygod uses it.
>Shrinkmaster -4 attack
>Cabal steal 2 minions
>Voljin double life gain
we don't know. they could either cancel eachother out or do the double life, order is important
/hsg/ thought Hungry Dragon was overpowered and would be the new Shredder.
Totem Golem was also considered OP. Even when I posted pic related people called me an idiot.
Even if they added picture related to HS, Elise would still be useless.
>He had armorsmith out you tard
so? He was at 16 health as well. Force savage would've put him down to 2. He would've needed to gain 4 armor from the armor smith with no minions to charge into on board.
So what are the odds that the first wing will be free for a week or so like Naxx was?
>Are you retarded? having more attack is meaningless, its a fucking poison card
No it's not. It's a 2/1 for 1 with an upside. You're just caught in the mental trap of thinking of it as a poison card, when you should be comparing it to Leper Gnome and such.
Should anyone actually be worried about this card?
I cant tell if its decent or trash can.
Probably fine in arena, but I'm not sure tempo or freeze would use this. Maybe control mage?
Is it wrong I only care about Warlock and Priest cards this expansion and if there will be any Dragon interactions?
Bran looks interesting but I doubt he'll be able to compete for space in a deck like Thaurissan and Boom
It's combo. Even though it's slow and it tries to control the board, you don't kill your enemy slowly with minions, but with a specific combo. That's why you need the discount, to be able to play Malygos and all the spells in your hand to kill the enemy from 30 to 0.
It was a good deck but I am also a good arena player.
I got like 350 gold and two packs.
I kinda like it yeah its hard to say how adding more cards to your own deck will work. I would rather have 2 mana for 3 damage 2 mana for 4 damage. 3 mana for 3 damage sucks and you might not see the card again as fast as this game is with turn 7 wins so apt to think it is unplayable.
topkek, can you point out a single card in the game that inputs the player to target 2 things?
they deliberately don't have that so that all retards can play this game.
it's a 1 mana 2/1 that can kill a danarsuss aspirant, forcing your druid opponent to hero power and lose tempo.
It can also straight up kill any of the priest 1 drops that have 3 health, making their defences a lot weaker.
It will also destroy an armorsmith, making the warrior turn 2 much worse.
On top of this this card will always be a relevant threat at any stage of the game, preventing your opponent from dropping a turn 5 belcher, giving you mad tempo to go face with.
Shit, the more I think about it the better it gets.
>Cho'Gall is added to Heroes of the Storm before Hearthstone
>doesn't exist now = cannot exist in the future
Nigga, there isn't a card that transforms your hand into other cards either but one is coming with the new adventure. Game mechanics get deeper.
Will I go all the way?
Not pictured:Redemption, Silver Hand Knight, and Draconid Crusher
Why couldn't it just be 4/5
If it didn't die to the most common card I would of used it
>start two hours ago at Rank 15 after yesterday
>back down to rank 20
Maybe this is just fucking terrible bad luck, but none of my decks are working.
What's some of the best on ladder right now? Apparently I can't get this shit down.
He can be played in regular control decks, towards the end of the game when you have few cards left, I wonder if he will glow orange or if you have to know yourself if his healing will work.
Fel Reaver Hunter got me to rank 1 last season, then control warrior to legend. This season I played secret paladin and new patron to rank 4 yesterday.
>Shaman would actually be fucking broken if he was allowed to pick his totems
Why, it's another taunt totem! what are the odds?
oh you're a control deck? let me just stack up on spell damage.
there's a reason why you need a 6 mana legendary to do this.
That's not totally true. Shamans problem is that while the cards can be individually strong, they have 0 synergy. So Shaman has no ability to make a really ground breaking turn by drawing certain cards and playing them like warrior had with patron and paladin has with quarter muster.
Well this card is bonkers with the stats alone
Pretty good chance at getting the same hero power you already have or a new one depending on match up (Armor Up vs Freeze Mage)
What do you think, who could use this?
>two EU players
>put them both in games 1 & 2 so they'll face each other in the semifinals and only one can go to the finals
Blizzard is so fucking dumb with their limited deck slots.
They really need to change the layout so you can have 3 decks per Class. That's how it should have been from the beginning.
Discover doesn't search your deck, it presents you with 3 random choices.
If it says Discover 3 you get to pick between three 3-cost cards
If it says Discover a beast you get to pick between three beasts
If it says Discover a new hero power, you get to pick between three hero powers
>against murloc shaman
>he plays this turn 1
>switches to steady shot
This is the new Boom pretty much. You have extremely good chance at getting either a solid power OR Life Tap, which is an auto win pretty much.
Will be played in almost every deck.
>Well this card is bonkers with the stats alone
He's a mana wyrm or voidwalker without the abilities. His stats alone are not a reason for anyone to play him. It's all about the ability, and other than Shaman I don't think there's a class that really wants to switch its hero power to a different one.
I've seen Nagraneu play on Twitch twice so he has played the game before, but he was shit and only started then
I haven't seen the other dude but maybe he actually plays the game
>have 400 g currently
>New adventure drops Nov 12
>building an echo fatigue mage with 1 echo and suboptimal cards
Unless it's something retardedly good like a 6/6 for 6 it's not going to be a thing for mage. It will probably be a 5/5 for 10 or some garbage.
PogChamp PogChamp PogChamp NEGREANU PogChamp PogChamp PogChamp
PogChamp PogChamp PogChamp ELKY PogChamp PogChamp PogChamp
There's a reason that 6 mana card was never seen near a shaman deck.
The problem with shaman is that the class is all about rng AND gets fucked by overload. Two major drawbacks and it still doesn't do anything better than any other class. And it has shit for heal and card draw.
Control shenanigans? Warrior does it better.
Combo burst surprises? Moshi moshi Duruido desu
Flooding the board with Mistcaller or some shit? Might as well play hunter and improve the win% by 90%
Midrange "jack of all trades"-y? Why the fuck not a midrangey demonlock
Shaman is shit by design. The overload mechanic is shit. Playing nice cards that fuck you over in the next turn isn't good enough when the game has so much removal/responses and you eventually run out of cards.
Bullshit. 1/3 is god tier stats for a 1 drop in a meta that includes so much aggro. Most match ups I play on my mage I hard mul for mana wyrm not because of growth ability, but because of how it contests multiple early minions my opponent plays.
>A better war golem
Truely, hearthstone is going to shit.
Man, I haven't played doter in like 10 months and haven't missed it unless I read or think of some of the hero lines. Some are damn interesting and great to listen to, like OD.
A shame ASSFAG kills your sanity.
Makes core rager deck must stronger. Not even joking, its the zero mana cards that let you play a perfect turn 4 core rager. Hunter's Mark, Target Dummy, Wisp and this card make it good now. I'll experiment with it when the adventure is released.
Because rockbiter doomhammer deals 16 damage
Rockbiter Alakir deals 18 damage
Blizzard is scared of what windfury can do for ohko.
This is why shaman is never getting another weapon buffing skill outside of rockbiter
If Druids can be ok with angry tree shenanigans then Shamans should be ok with windfury shenanigans.
They just have no idea what to do with Shaman, they got themselves into a dead-end.
>tfw big Brann fan
>Finally Blizzard digs him up again
>that Jaina cosplayer
I'm not even straight but that was well done
>You will never have a boyfriend full of joy and life like ben "HAHAHHAHAHA"brode
Rockbiter+hammer deals 10 dmg
Rockbiter+al'akir deals 12 dmg
That's still less than druid combo. For more damage you need more cards/to have previous board presence.
There is really no excuse, the Shaman design is complete shit.
