I completely disagree.
FaP extends the one-shot area far past where it would normally be, I don't think I got one-shot by anything in the game.
It also gives you increased weight and stamina, both things you don't really have access to at SL1.
I was reluctant to use it in my playthough, but after I popped it on I had a much easier time.
DWGR gives you a few extra frames if you dodge, FaP gives you a chance to survive the attack if you miss the dodge.
>You will never co-op with Snoop Dog or Darth Maul
Have you ever seen bosses?
O&S AoE is a one hit without FaP
Demon firesage AoE
most of bed of chaos' attacks
3 frames is not enough of a difference to risk dying to those attacks
It's not all chocolates and roses
>now I have to leave blighttown
>first attempt up elevator, get inexplicably sucked down the crack between the top of the elevator and the platform
>grab souls, make it up the elevator, and die immediately to a dog combo (fire machine gun damages me like the hellkite drake's, and a bite to finish me)
>respawn with sadness in my heart because i know with clear and distinct certainty that the game will force me to lose my 60k souls trying to get pas the elevator
>Lo and behold, get sucked down the crack again
seriously fuck this game sometimes. How do you reliably get off the top of the blighttown elevator? Leaving blighttown is the only difficult part of the level, I don't know why anyone complains about any other part.
Hollow Shield and Balder Shield are both better, but they're semi-rare enemy drops
If you go back the the Asylum, you can kill hollow Oscar for the Crest Shield
If you go to the Valley of Drakes, you can find an Undead Dragon miniboss guarding the Dragon Crest Shield
Again, it's not a big deal at all
Knight Shield just bothers me personally because it weighs 5.5
I usually prioritize finding one of those above shields so I don't need to use it.
I don't use clubs at SL1
I'm using a Battle Axe
so walk, don't roll, from the side of the elevator paddle that closest to the cliff? Alright, I'll give it a shot.
Neither does my friend, I think in only one of my playthroughs out of 10+ I've manage to not die to it.
for real m8
If you look closely, you'll notice we're intentionally co-oping through the game
I'm 2 for 2 on successful elevator dismounts now, thanks for the advice anon.
Y'know, sometimes it's pretty fun to go back to the burg and crush hollows. Nice way to unwind for a little bit.
I like this one of Tarkus and Beatrice in the TotG, even if it makes no sense.
I'm having fun with my "Smough Souls" run
I CE'd in enough souls to use Smough's gear and 2h the hammer, and the challenge is in the slow attack speed but huge damage, only allowed to use the hammer.
>fuck up a deathless run in scholar because i tried to cheese dragonrider
Emerald Herald is a cute. Prove me wrong
>4kings at a sliver of health
>try walking to the last one instead of running, so I can preserve stamina and kill it immediately
>magic projectile hits me
>I immediately try to heal
>because I was walking instead of running, I'm still in perfect range for its sword attack to kill me while I'm chugging
It was my own fault
but that really stings
SL1 is really fun though, glad I tried it
This is what the DaS3 Greatsword "guts mode" should've been like
>get to old king doran
>he does magic damage
>whip out the silver shield
>blocks, but leaves me with little stamina
>low health, desperation kicks in
>parry him and riposte with +5 dragon bone smasher
And that's the story of how I finished him off with death cloud and a single arrow to the dick.
I just saw that I have 18 hours in Dark Souls and I've only killed the bell gargoyles and the capra demon.
How bad am I?
Also lost 6k souls and a humanity (of which I've never been able to use a free one yet) to fucking curse frogs. I'm mad. I didn't even know that's what they were doing. But I fell down a God damn pit and 4 of them ganged up on me.
>a bunch of posts deleted
Did I miss something special or
Demons Souls SL 110 desperately farming PBS
I've been at it for 5 hours, PBWT, 4-2 BP skele farming.
I will dupe whatever the fuck and will also dupe the PBS to give to other people. For the love of god, can someone give me a PBS?
>Biorr gets me past the blue dragon
>I can lock on, begin to fire arrows indiscriminately
>dragon stops blowing fire
>fear for the worst
>dragon dies just seconds later
>run down the stairs
>don't see a corpse, but don't see him
>wonder if he walked away like ostrava used to
>get to one item
>get his armor and presumably his ring
I'm going to carry this weight, /dsg/.
>presumably his ring
yeah, there are two rings of great strength
one belonged to Vallarfax and the other to Biorr
the one you get in 1-1 was Vallarfax's, while Biorr still had his equipped until you let him die
Whens the best time to do the DLC for Dark Souls 1? I'm Level 64 and just beat O&S
There are a lot of better options, but it's still a good weapon.
But then, that can be said about almost any weapon, it usually comes down to your skill with it and not how good the weapon is.
Also, special weapons are really fun to use when you know how to.
Same here. I usually have some trouble from time to time with him and Kalameet, they're some of the few bosses with undodgeable attack sequences, and that doesn't end very well in higher NGs.
What's the best new player gift for Dark Souls?
I know I can ask google but I want your guys' opinion. The master key seemed nice and all but I haven't gotten much use out of it yet and there seems to be some story stuff I'm missing on.
Master key is really useful if you know your way around the game. Firebombs are an useful item all around and you can get the demon's great hammer with it. Other than that, they don't really make a difference.
If only I knew what part of the depths I would have skipped. I have a habit of turning around and going back the other way in a fork if I get too far in one direction and start seeing more forks. I still don't have a good mental map of that area.
Any NPC that needs a stat requirement to talk to.
On PC, is it too late to ever be able to legitimately get the covenant rewards that involve PVP?
Online still works fine
The playerbase isn't massive but it's still there
It helps that it migrated from GFWL to Steamworks a year ago, and that so many people were disappointed with DaS2
Forest and Darkwraith still work fine. Darkmoon is possible to do in a reasonable amount if you don't get discouraged by FAILED TO INVADE. Dragon and Gravelord are probably the least active but still doable.
That sort of shit has been around since Demon's Souls.
I don't know why people think it'll ever go away.
It didn't go away in Dark Souls. Didn't go away in Dark Souls 2. Didn't go away in Bloodborne. It is not going away in Dark Souls 3.
If you want this shit to go away, have From make a LAN mode.
>other then NG+0
if you're carrying it into NG+ you can just unequip it anyway
i'm pretty sure that convo was about first-time SL1 NG players and/or SL1 Darkwraiths, which both definitely do benefit from it
>people who care about Souls lore
>people who care about Souls PvP
which are worse?
IIRC you can do all of them offline, but farming for items is a bitch. Sunlight maggots drop sunlight medals, basilisks drop eyes of death, and other enemies drop other such items. Hit up the wikis.
Only covenant you can't level up offline is the forest guys. I think the only reward from them though is the fog ring which you can get by trading a skull lantern with snuggly.
Why nobody posts gorgeous Menas art?
Believe in yourself ! /Dsg/ was always famous for its appreciation of amateur artists, giving them good advices, constructive and moderate critique of their artwork, and general support. Right guys?
it's a meme. miyazaki had said that players that wanted the full experience should get the pendant or nothing at all. funny thing is, this can mean that everything else is inferior to the pendant OR that the pendant is as good as nothing and going in empty handed is the best way to enjoy the game. at the time it had created a lot of theories and miyazaki was probably laughing his ass off. at any rate, it can be traded for a souvenir of reprisal, but almost as soon as you can get to the darkmoon tomb, you can also kill lautrec, so it's kind of unnecessary
Gonna dump some masterpieces from the most well-known /dsg/ artist of all time, now welcome in the official circles of Namco Bandai.
(I strongly believe that she-wolf Sif is everybody's most beloved hero, after awesome Lord of the Abyss Arty, of course)
>Yeah thanks for saving me from the abyss and all, also beating manus was a kinda neat thing to do
>I´m stil not gonna give you this ring you need to fight the abyss again, I´m afraid you´ll have to kill me for no reason
Man, Pursuer is such a cool design.
If only they gave him a bigger moveset that actually made use of all those weapons he had on his back.
That, and have him use more often the "heat up" moves he would only use if he stabbed you with the curse sword attack.
shut your whore mouth drooling piece of autistic trash.
One of my favourite things about softs was the pursuers that actually used their magic attacks. I had never seen them before in my game.
Gwyn's chest piece & EK legs.
>Then draw porn and rake in patreon and commission money
just be as talented and dedicated as Menas, and you'll wallow in commission monies all day everyday.
Is the halberd a decent weapon to level with in Dark Souls? I like its moveset, but the stats on it are pretty eh.
I am also playing a medium-armored knight build, so medroll and block whenever, though I prefer to twohand the halberd whenever I can.
>insulting the best boss in the game whom everyone refuses to kill and cries bitter tears after her death
walk out your window right now, please.
It's sad none of you faggots were ever as skilled and talented as Menas to make decent OC. Very sad.
I firmly believe we all ought to show our appreciation for Menas, so please visit his deviantArt gallery and ask for a commission, also don't forget to visit his RedBubble store for various goodies, and of course make sure to follow his artblog on tumblr.
and that's why it has literally zero fanart kekekek ;)
fuck off autistic piece of shit ;)
with one post he sucks some mediocre drawfag's dick, with the other he shits on 4kings
fuck off cuntrag ;)
remember this name? oh of course you do, that's how all of /dsg/ called you back then.
His art is now officially posted on the DS Facebook page. Speaks for itself, I suspect :)
What I did was complete the game normally on ng, speed the fuck through ng+ and then unlock every area/kill every boss/get all the shit i missed in ng+2
that way you can get a complete build while also getting a chance to collect the illusory rings
but why is everyone taking the bait so easily
>with one post he sucks some mediocre drawfag's dick
He's basically trying to get people to shit on Menas by pretending to be an overenthusiastic heavily autistic fan. Last time Menas and I spoke, he was feeling fairly unhappy with his level of skill and autismanon was making him uncomfortable.
So, yeah, fairly nice guy who used to drawfag pictures of other anons characters seems to have been pretty much successfully run out of these threads by our resident shitposter.
With all that in mind,
You can stop now. You already won.
>implying it's actually ME who's just one person
>Last time Menas and I spoke
Proof or gtfo, nigger.
Also, now that he made his name as a respectable artist on DA, he's wallowing in commissions and making tons of monies, and probably doesn't give a single flying fuck about all of you.
no i never got no bonfire but i did get no death accidentally
if i ever need that ring i can just ce it in though
what i meant is that if you can do no death/no bonfire then you can get a complete-ish save by NG+2
otherwise just go up to ng+3, do no death on ng+ and no bonfire on ng+2 and complete the areas and shit on ng+3
It was in one of the flockdraws, he participated somewhat often when we used to do them.
Really though, your job is done. You can rest.
>It was in one of the flockdraws, he participated somewhat often when we used to do them
Epically nice AND convincing proof. You're still an enormous piece of autistic trash. Go fuck yourself ;)
Most overrated fucking boss in the entire series. I hate this guy because smug DeSfags think that his existence is proof that their game is the hardest in the series.
DeSfags only say he's the hardest boss ever because every other boss in DeS save Allant is a complete pushover in comparison.
And Flamelurker is the only boss aside from Allant that actually attempts to be aggressive. And no, fighting him with a pure melee build doesn't mean he's automatically hard. He's easy as hell to side dodge and punish his highly telegraphed "hand AoE" attacks.
The animation? The roll animations are fine.
What's bad is that they're tied to the Adaptability system, which is singlehandedly the worst game design decision in the entire Souls series.
>tfw dead 4cuntface will never get to play DaS3 while we all will be enjoying the shit out of it like one big friendly family
makes me feel warm and comfy inside.
It's not like it matters if you believe or not.
I just thought you should know you don't need to keep going.
I've never played through DaS as a sorcerer, and have never made a sorcerer build outside of CE/mule.
How would I go about doing this? From what I know, my run would be
>get some souls
>head straight to rickert
>buy shit I might want/need
>get firekeeper soul
>head back up
>acquire dex weapon
>rush to forest to get ember
>give to rickert
>make my weapon magic/enchanted
>save big hat
>get some sweet spells
>dark bead + pursuers all day till the end
Would that be viable? What rings would I use?
>They finally fix the the rolling system a bit
>No more retard rolling through everything and dodging every attack like nothing in DS1
>Now you have to waste stats to actually use iframes
>Rolling away vs rolling through makes it possible to make builds with variety in adaptability
>Once again they have a PvP problem they cannot fix, but still, we got a PvE fix
It was one of the best decisions, same with parry, but sadly, not very well handed. A huge problem in DS2 is the good ideas terribly executed.
>fairly nice guy who used to drawfag pictures of other anons characters seems to have been pretty much successfully run out of these threads by our resident shitposter
Isn't he getting his dick violently sucked, all the way, in /bbg/ now?
Basically head straight for rickert, then release griggs, too. The entirety of the game can be cheesed with soul arrows; you have even more room to breath if you're not going pure spells and will have an actual weapon. Rush for the dark sorceries once they're available.
So, what exactly is the Dark Hand? Is it a spell? Is Kaathe beefing up your humanity so you can do magic with it?
It's got a similar icon to the Pyro glove, so is he gifting you some foreign soul like pyromancers give away pieces of their flames?
>tfw giving up on seath and just cheat the boss battle out
I just couldn't do it as a low hp low endurance mage.
I just couldn't bear it.
The run is long as fuck and stressing because invisible platforms.
Clams have high resistance to magic and 1 hit depletes my all my stamina with my most stable shield and i had to kill at least 2 before entering the fog.
go in, smash crystal, can't use moonlight horn because resistant to magic so i use greataxe but slow as fuck and can't swing it more than twice.
crystal attacks bring me to 20% hp and my fps to the single digits and everytime i tried to go behind he thrashed like a madman killing me in 1 hit
>Playing DS2 for the first time
>Getting to the bosses in the Sunken King DLC
>Decide to try out Elana first
>I know the boss, and about Velstadt
>For some reason I think that if I kill Velstadt she won't summon him again
>Going through the fog with Ellie and Benhart
>Not so long after she summons Velstadt
>Waste most of my summons life trying to bring him down in the middle of the skeletons
>He dies eventually and takes Ellie with him
>Benhart survives long enough to take half her HP
>It's just you and me now
>10 seconds after I say that she summons Velstadt
>Fuck, but I can still manage
>Now she brings the skeletons in
>I keep running around the room with my heide spear trying to hit her
>This goes for some minutes, all my estus and some 30 lifegems
>by then I was perfect-dodging Velstadt
>Skeletons not so agressive as I thought
>She's almost dead and I'm losing my patience
>Decide to enter the last two hits in one go
>Get Velstadt out of the way, rush to her, spear in hand
>I fucking miss
>Try again, hit, but Velstadt smashes me
>Skeletons get their hits in before I kill her
>Almost dead, and Velstadt won't go away
>Still have to dodge one or two of his attacks
And this is how I got her in my first try. I don't think I ever had so much fun in a souls game.
I'll pass the sword. on my way to oolacile, the guardian just took a bit of patience and crystal soulmass to complement the damage.
The other 3 bosses will be a huge pain, especially at lv 60ish but at least i hope i can interrupt artorias buff with my greataxe or i'm fucked
It took me a good 3 or 4 tries to get her. I wound up summoning Steelheart Ellie to get her to take some aggro. She wound up surviving the fight. Not as hard of a boss fight as I thought it was going to be.
Sinh took me a lot longer, but after beating him I felt absolutely elated. Having Edde certainly helped though.
You can, just do a running attack, should stunlock him in one hit.
If you want the sword, just get a lightning halberd, wait until Seath gets really close (close enough that he is about to attack), break the crystal and while he staggers run to his back a hit the tail near the end.
Remeber to be below 25% load.
I got lucky as fuck with her. She never summoned Velstadt, and only summoned skeletons over and over again. I ended up killing her first try, and she was in the midst of summoning Velstadt when I landed the final blow
Sinh kicked my shit as well. I felt bad for it becasue I managed Elana in my first try and the gank trio in two, but then comes Sinh and kills me 8 or so times.
Later I was reading that Sinh is a much tougher boss if you go with summons, not only because of the defense bonus but it seems that he will stay most of the fight in the air blasting your shit.
>mfw they get caught in the wakeup by a second fire storm
I hate it how in DaS2 your recovery from casting firestorm / scraps of life is shorter than the duration of the spell, so you can run around and attack/cast while the pillars of damage are still sprouting up everywhere
Why is it almost always Europeans? Germans especially.
So let's put together our conclusions, and try to form the unified option - why exactly 4bitchez is the worst "boss" in Souls games ever? Your opinions, please.
You can also stagger him with a headshot, that will stop the buff
For Seath, you're doing it wrong. That fight is about getting in and out at the right moments. Once you break the crystal, run down and stay close to his belly, right in the front, he'll most likely do the crystal wave attack, then you move to the side of his belly, and it won't hit you. You can get a lot of hits in that way, but as soon as his attack is over, get the fuck out of there because he'll hit you with the next one.
After he's done attacking, just run straight to his belly, and once again he'll do the wave, move to the side again and repeat. If you have nice damage output you can kill him right after you break the crystal.
>pretty much successfully run out of these threads by our resident shitposter
But /dsg/ made another "not so nice drawfag" (so to speak)
annoying shitposting third-world dwelling transsexual attentionwhore without any skill or talent, in more plain wordskill itself, and everyone was celebrating this epic victory of the general. What's wrong with people coming and going?
I think Tarkus has the most rich personality than any other NPC. Are you agreed?
>FinaIIy get to lron Keep
>Read Iast piece of armor for current buiId is here
>CIimb up Iadder to the mimic
>2 hits before it starts moving

>See drop in there
>Can't be reached at aII
>Disappears about 6 seconds after
WouId anyone have an extra Dark Armor (just the chest piece) they are not using for their buiId? ls there anything you wouId want for it?
Don't have many good weaps but do have 11 twinkIing and 6 pet. bones and some earIy boss souIs. You can have any of them for it.
576k on PS 3 if you couId drop a sign!
I'm thinking of making a Str or Str/Faith build (ds1 and ds2). However I'd like to know if the investment in faith is worth it (buffs and heals). I like the idea of having buffs etc. but I feel I would be stretching too thin with the stats.
Is the buff damage worth the loss of survivability (HP/Stamina)? I'm strictly speaking of PvE here as I'm too new for PvP. Can someone who've played those builds can provide some input?
Since you're strictly speaking of pve honestly the faith investment is worth it by a large margin. People may attest to quality builds being good, and they can be, but they do less damage than their infused/buffed brethren. You have a lot of variety with investing in just faith as well. Pyromancies/miracles everywhere, you can attack with elements and most everything is weak to lightning save for eleum loyce. That place is trashed by fire. And with the faith investment you could honestly choose to do some int as well.
I'm tanky as shit, like 900 defense physical everywhere. And 250 elemental as well due to +10 drakekeepers set and what not. And that's with 30 fth/int and the rest investment into hitting soft caps on other various things regarding strength related weaponry. My thing was investing in 30 faith for healing, getting like 22 atn later on, and getting 30 int only after I felt I was tanky enough. You should have no issue whatsoever. Especially if you're summoning or doing full co-op runs. People will love you for being tanky and healer/buffer.
How do I get rid of PvP anxiety? I have like 2500 hours in game and I'm still shaking.
Yes, basically. I've done clerics in both 1 and 2 and they both work fine. Its more worthwhile in DS1, it felt like my heals did more and really extended my survivability by supplementing estus. In 2 you'll need a much higher faith to get much power out of your heals, from what I recall, and offensive miracles kind of suck in 2, but 2 boasts the nice bonus of very healing spell being a party heal.
Just to correct you a little, the healing miracles in DS2 do not stack with faith and heal a base amount. But from playing DS2 almost religiously I have to say the heala can be quite overpowered. Especially with moderate attunement and stacking heal spells. Aside from that the offensive miracles are indeed a bit lack luster when compared to exceedingly powerful spells like climax. In which no lightning offensive miracles come close. They do hit rather hard like all sorceries and magics however. But there are indeed better options!
it's really just a retarded design thing, m8. Srsly just look at this fuck. I don't even.
Trying to keep the worId at NG, not sure if going NG + on the first run wiII be a good idea but ascetic seems to bring it to ++ next run. These ascetics Iook Iimited so far too.
Hoping it won't come down to that but it Iooks Iike most peopIe don't use the chest piece since they aII use the mask so wanted to ask before that happens.
>Go in arena
>Go back in again
What worries you m8? You don't win, you don't win. Get back in there and try again.
lt's just pixeIs. lf you're not enjoying yourseIf, you shouId quit this game/series and find something eIse. No point in pIaying with something making you sick / anxietaI as it's bad for your heaIth.
Just know win or not, it's just a game and anyone sending maiI your way can be deIeted just as easy without even reading it.
>You have IiteraIIy NOTHlNG to worry about!
Go have fun, Anon!
Requirement does not mean scaling though, and is improper terminology. Scaling with imply it becomes stronger the higher the user's faith, whereas meeting the requirement would do as intended for the spell. And you can simply spam spices to get the requirement of the spell lower to have the same intended effect.
Does anyone wear Agape Ring in NG+?
I'm in tier 36 and was wearing it in NG while doing pvp and summons. Should I take it off? I'm not seeing any summon signs and not being invaded. Haven't gotten to Iron Keep yet.
DaS > DeS > DaS2
This is universally agreed on in the Souls community, right? Except those few hipsters who claim that DeS is the best Souls game, but nobody cares what hipsters think. I wonder where DaS3 will stand.
DaS1 btw, but it also happens in 2/DeS. I don't think it's about winning or losing, I win most of my fights anyway. It's not that I don't enjoy it, I've had a lot of good fights & talks after the fights. Do you remember the first times you were invaded, the adrenaline rush? I don't think I ever got rid of that feel in the Souls series.
I'd say DaS>BloodBorne>DeS>DaS2 personally. I know there are some who don't like to class BB as a Souls game, but that's incredibly dumb honesty. Its heart is the pounding fury of a Souls game with a higher emphasis on speed, and it feels silky smooth to play, plus the setting is incredibly good. I ended up liking it more than DeS if I'm honest.
I was in the same position 2 weeks ago.
Here's my recommended ez mode sorcerer
>roll a pyromancer
>put STR to 12 (I think it's default on pyro) and DEX to 10 and never touch it again
>get some early VIT if you're a pussy, not really needed if you're good at rolling
>don't get any END whatsoever
>get enough ATT for 2-3 slots and dump everything else into INT
>get a Spear and keep upgrading it (eventually +10), it's mostly for backup when you can't use spells
>ring the first bell then go either blighttown shortcut or moonlight butterfly
>do the one you didn't do above
>go sens and free logan
>buy out all his spells as soon as you can he will leave and the regular sorc guy will sell you one more copy of homing and spear
>finish anor londo
>go to the giant blacksmith and turn in +10 spear and buttefly soul for MB Horn
>if you killed all the anvil demons in Sens and found all the Demon Titanite you'll be able to get the horn +5 which paired with high INT will do great damage on almost everything
>go Archives after soulvessel placed
>do logan's quest and buy all his shit, get his staff after he goes mad
>get Dark Bead
>roll everything else in the game with (crystal) spears and dark bead
I also recommend not giving a shit about armor and going with fashion souls and fast roll ring. The other ring the 20k sorc boost. I also use the Oolacile bitch's head for extra spell dmg given and taken.
As a final note, it is way more fun if you're a glass cannon. That's why I keep my VIT low (at 15 you get exactly 5 bars). Also can put 22 into END if you want exactly 4 bars of stamina and more weight for armor. The Bfly Horn costs only 1 stam bar per poke so it's very cheap in that regard and very very strong with high INT. Not that you'll care, spells themselves are even more ridiculous.
>Do you remember the first times you were invaded, the adrenaline rush? I don't think I ever got rid of that feel in the Souls series.
lf it's a good rush that's great. lt's the rush of winning (win about 4 out of 5 fights on any of the 4 characters) against other great pIayers. lt's great to win most of the time but it's more fun to be the guy bowing over you when you Iose rather than be the
>NO NO NO
guy to make you feeI bad just because l happen to be a IittIe better. lt's fun seeing famiIiar pIayers and having that bow and respect. The rush is there in a fun way!
TOH will probably bump BB up to PTD-tier.
HOWEVER, I want to make clear that the all the tiers are very minor, except the one that states that vanilla DaS2 <<< all others. The differentiation between the rest of the tiers mostly comes down to which aspects of these games you value the most, they're all great
How the fuck do torches wrork?
I´m supposed to light them at the bonfire but there aren´t anywhere in my inventory.
Alright, found it, you have to alternate the fucking bonfire function.
And no they aren´t in the inventory.
There´s a fucking stick next to a timer, and the only way to recognize that as a torch is to know it is one.
some guy invaded my in the forest, and we backstabbed each other at the same time, he got frozen in place but I couldn't lock on to him, and he couldn't move.
anyone ever seen this before?

hey guys, finally got a computer that is actually able to run DS on pc. looking forward to a smooth framerate. are there any modpacks or content mods for people who already played through the game on consoles?
Rolling has been overhauled for Dark Souls II. In the previous game, roll speed was divided into three distinct classes, depending on your character's equip load. Your character's rolling speed and distance would drastically change if you fell under one of the three limits- 100% equip load, 50% equip load, and 25% equip load.
In Dark Souls II, however, rolling has only one hard limit at 70%. All rolling below that will have the same animation, but as your equip load decreases, your roll speed and distance will gradually increase. Attempting to roll with over 70% equip load will result in a "fat roll", with its own, slower, animation. Equipping more than 100% of your character's equip load will gradually slow your character's walking and sprinting speed, and equipping more than 120% will make rolling and sprinting impossible. However, even above 120% equip load, one can always perform rolling attacks and backstep attacks.
being evil is more fun
Someone just post zullie's rolling info. Where they rolled at different %s and dropped an item. Each and every item was in a different spot which would verify the "sliding scale" theory.
Not with DSfix, but maybe with CE you could do that. Have you tried making the game render the graphics in low resolution. Pic related, 64x36 resolution.
Why can't I escort Laddersmith Gilligan to Drangleic Castle, so he can build me a ladder that I can use to throw across the gap to the Throne, and therefore not have to get the Ashen Mist Heart and Giant's Kinship?
help I wanna smash people
Dark souls 2.
I like magic.
I like spears.
What are some good weapons for me.
Can someone help me understand what's happening in the intro to DaS2?
The fireflies look like the ones that swarm around areas that you can use with the Ashen Mist Heart to time-travel, but I'm not getting the giant whirlpool of souls that you fall into. Am I traveling back in time to get at Drangleic?
What the fuck I have never seen or even heard of this before.
So then why don't you need the Ashen Mist Heart to time-travel in the intro, when you need it to do so everywhere else in the game? What makes Drangleic's Gate special? Furthermore, every other time you time-travel, there's a time limit involved
>parallel worlds idea much more cleanly
Why is hollowed Solair in your world?
How can Lautrec hurt NPCs in your world?
Why does invading Lautrec give you his equipment?
Why can't you invade any other NPCs?
Why are there black knights in the asylum when you go back to it?
I'm sure I could come up with more but see if you can answer those without going into absurd headcanon, you can't, shit doesn't make sense.
