They spawn every few chunks and have nothing above or below them.

But basically I have a hopper collecting some stuff and spitting it into a dropper, but I want the dropper spit the item out whenever it gets another item. Is that possible?
Btw the reason I need a hopper to collect and a dropper to drop it again is because it's a part of an automatic farm with mobs standing on the hopper and then I need to drop that stuff again into a main collection area.
Maybe I'll just do this a different way entirely, but is that possible/pretty simple?

the maple sprinkler onyl grows crop to meta 7 and renders its particles as long as it's in view distance (altho it will cut down on particles if render is going slow)
reika's stuff atleast has the decency to cut down on detail and animation the further away you are, and not displaying the TE at all if more than ~2 chunks away

I'd still need to make my power system hook together. All RF does is give a common energy library. Even then, it isn't recommended to use straight RF, but rather to use internal values and convert.

Seems like they changed the ore generation, but digging to y=135 and then horizontally until you detect ores is still profitable.
The power system in that game pretty much works on a basic supply-demand system. Either you have enough power to run your shit, or you don't. Tax the system too much, and you get rolling blackouts.

It's simple to understand and use, you don't need to care about rotational velocidensity or what have you, just "it's off" or "it's on". And yet, due to his restrictions (you need a gearbox after 3 axles, you can't power a gearbox with another, waterwheel requires water, windmills break), it's actually challenging and fun to play with.

I suspect any mek/fz pack would mainly gravitate ore processing and machines to the mek side of it..

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to use FZ's ore processing. That's not all the mod is about, however. Mainly, I'm getting it for Solar Thermal power, Calorimetric Burners, Slag Furnaces, barrels, routers, bags of holding, and, most importantly, servos. The servos are important because I don't have MFR, RotaryCraft, or Forestry. Servos are a somewhat-challenging way to build autofarms.
(Also Leyden Jars are really fucking cool to look at)

actually it does. the bin is a 4096 item/64 stack barrel. so the same as a normal sized fz barrel.

I was searching for the origin of a holding bag inside a holding bag, and realized that what I meant was portable hole inside a holding bag. Then that reference came up.
So far I've used them to access shallow caves through the ground if the shaft of the hole crosses an open space. Still feel like there should be something else. I guess you can get rid of monsters too.
I like to think it's "purpose" is to one day encounter a mountain so high up, that going up over it or around it would take all day so you're like "fuck it, why not just go THROUGH the mountain? that'd save work". Then you open a portable hole THROUGH the mountain and then run THROUGH it and finally you're like fuck yeah, one less obstacle for the day

I can't seem to hook these 2 up. It's asking for 500 neutral essence, from what I've read, the essence in a mana battery is always converted to neutral. I right click with my wrench, the beam goes up, I right click on the centre block at the top. Click the lever and nothing happens.

Yes, but setting up a steam engine isn't. I wish it would be multiple blocks: heating chamber, pipes for the pressurized steam, a turbine, cooling array, etc.

Then spending half an hour in game crafting the components, hooking it up and never see it again until it depleted the uranium.

Holy fuck, that's been in development for a while. It has way too many unnecessary armours/weapons. The bosses look okay. Pets and mobs are below par but still better than vanilla. There aren't many pics for the dimensions. Not something that I can see my self playing, nothing in the mod that I can't find somewhere else but more polished.
Resonant Induction just had a proper release and if it weren't a buggy piece of shit there's a good chance it would be what you're looking for. RotaryCraft-style Torque/Speed mechanics, fluid pipes that use pressure values for which fluids need to be given enough pressure to be pushed up-hill, and no item pipes - conveyor belts only. Plus, your high-end powergen is Atomic Science and you need to build a motherfucking multiblock particle accelerator to get a lot of the things in that mod.

Compared to going back to base to drop off your load, it's pretty convenient.
To qualify: it's overpowered compared to everything else in the pack. TCon gives a single single-chest sized knapsack. Thaumcraft gives the travelling trunk, a convenient chest that follows you. Vanilla offers the ender chest, mine-carts and donkeys. All of these are harder, more dangerous and more interesting than an inventory with nested bags of holding.
Being a modded pack, there are a few more things to carry than in true vanilla. More capacity is needed. However it is not needed to the extent that it is in other, more modded packs. Similarly, the end-game power-level in V++ should not be god-tier. One aspect of that is not having all your worldly possessions on your person, a la alchemy bags.
For these packs, I'll likely either use the chest slot option and/or the placement option. I like their mechanics and how they feel like backpacks as opposed to DnD bags of holding or handy haversacks.

Yes i did remove them, still happens somewhere between getting out of the portal and opening the gate, because when i right click that thing it does not open and the server stops responding.

That has to do with the Y cord in vanilla minecraft having a weird multiplier that makes portals like 10 blocks too high think a portal in the overworld 700 blocks away is closer then the one 10 blocks away.

I just came out of the portal, was charging my Longsword to jump around and i right clicked the stairs a few times accidently... Remove all carpenters blocks at spawn i guess, because right clicking any of them with a tinkers tool in your hand crashes it.

This, it isn't a question of being overpowered, it is pure convenience and nothing more. Do you enjoy having 20 chests strewn about your base? Or would you rather have a handful of blocks that fulfill the same function? It takes some minor resources and micro crafting to get setup, but if all that work does the same thing that a ton of chests and crafting table can do, then whats left? Just the convenience factor of not having a bunch of ugly chests everywhere and having to run around between them.
All the other AE functions beyond simple storage are another matter, I won't get into that.

I can see why Etho dislikes AE. It basically solves a problem for you, when you could set up something interesting for your viewers.
The actual problem with AE is how it demotivates you from using any other storage form. It becomes a game of:
Grinding items? Send them to the ME drives.
Need items? Go to the ME interface.
Need to craft something? Spend 15 seconds and also craft a recipe for it for the ME assembler.
And after all that you become too lazy to make interesting stuff, which is something that etho is aware of.
A double chest takes 4 logs.
Last time I checked logs are not hard to acquire, this is very blatantly a matter of convenience.

What I meant by that was that a basic AE system doesn't do anything that you can't already do in the first minute of gameplay. It just makes it more convenient to do those things, instead of having chests and a crafting table. I specifically said I was only talking about the basic system, not all the other shit. Crafting interface is simple, the MAC and whatnot is another matter entirely, which is why I said that.

Hey, uhh, based on how you described that and from past experience as a server owner, I think I know of an automated solution for this problem that I've used on every server I've owned for the past few years. In how many hours should I expect Kiwi to be online so I can see if this solution will work for him too?
If it's that much of a problem to you just don't use it. I've used AE extensively ever since it was first released, and I actually have
funwith it. Different people like different things, I like not having to spend 30 minutes crafting one item, if you on the other hand enjoy that, feel free to carry on doing that, no-one's gonna force you to do otherwise.
As for interesting stuff, lots of things aren't possible without AE, you can make interesting stuff with or without it. Also, using AE extensively creates a significant power drain, unlike chests where you can store items indefinitely with no power cost, that's so OP.
TFC is only as fun as there's stuff to progress towards, unlike vanilla where you can still make autismal redstone contraptions even after you reach what most would consider endgame. So yes, it could be argued as a bad mod.
