>Reach out to the truth starts playing when the P4 cast comes to save the day
I love this game.
If you're going to commit bestiality, you can do a hell of a lot better than Teddie.
Very interesting. Also sorry humanity, but there is no such thing as a heaven.
Even in the illusion, she could not escape from her own death. Thus, she needed to somehow be appeased and ease her pain…”
Magaret: “This is a final paradise, created by a grieving soul…”
I liked it better when Maki did it.
It's such a pain to build a good linker sub persona.
You have to get Golden Link, Dual/Triple Link and at least one actual Link skill on one persona, also hopefully a resist/null to their weakness element plus maybe Bloody Vanguard.
It's made harder by the fact that Golden Chain doesn't want to transfer to anything and Dual/Triple Chain are also finicky.
It's obnoxious. It's worth it, though.
Stick Kartikeya on Akihiko (Kartikeya gets Triple Link, Golden Chain, Bloody Vanguard and Bolt Link naturally), add that to Akihiko's final skill which is a passive which massively increases his critical hit rate and watch everything fucking die.
The only 2 subs I've found so far that are good for linking are Turdak at 27 and Kartikeya at 52.
I really love EO and SMT but I've never touched the Persona series. What games do I need to
emulateto enjoy Persona Q?
Please and thank you.
When a Link skill is used, it does minor damage to a single target. There's one link skill for all 4 elements. When another person damages that same enemy after the Link skill is used, the Link activates and the Link user follows up that attack for moderate damage.
Normally, Links only work on the first hit after they're used. However, there are Dual, Triple, Quadra and Infinite (x8) Link passives which increase the number of possible hits.
Then there's Golden Link, which progressively increases the power of every Link hit after the first one.
Plus Bloody Vanguard, which is a passive which increases any subsequent damage to a target hit by the person.
You should make someone fast and strong like Akihiko or Yu your linker, since they have to go before others.
Can anyone help? I'm not sure what unlocks the electronic door or the other one.
Don't you just love when every single agility bind misses and what should be a 10 minute battle turns into a 45 minute one. Fuck the dolls in the room with no lights.
You gotta explore the bottom left. Use the lights in one room then enter from the other doorway.
If it helps anymore just explore this area with the lights on and off, I got lucky when I was annoyed with the baby at the treasure chest and just ran back with the lights on off.
>Naoto walks out on the swimsuit competition
i assume this is something they held off for Golden?
They gave her a swimsuit as a dungeon costume but she doesn't ever do the competition.
There's some cut dialogue on the disk where she does attend, and she says that her friends forced her to do it. She sounded pretty miserable so I'm fine with what we got.
How the hell do you fuse Turdak, anyways? I've tried filling up all 14 of my slots with a dozen different combinations of Personas and he just won't show up on the Fusion search.
I can make basically everything else ten different ways.
I don't have two higher level Death arcana persona, my MC is only level 30 and Turdak is 27.
You can't even use Triangle spread to fuse 3 of one arcana to get a higher level one because death is such an uncommon arcana, there's only 2 below Turdak.
So I was checking this
And it says Queen Mab + Legion is supposed to give you Turdak. But it doesn't, it gives you White Rider.
Did they change the fusion recipes when the game got translated or something?
Have you leveled either of them up at all?
If you have their levels might be bumping the fusion result up from Turdak to the next-strongest Death persona.
Try keeping one of them and see what you get if you fuse it with a slightly weaker persona of the arcana of the other.
Chie just got pissed, what the hell,. I'm not even on level 55 yet, no one in my party is.
I doubt Atlus USA would care enough to do that, though they fucked up something with QR codes and now japanese codes don't work with NA and EU versions. Anywayss, maybe your Personas are just on a too high level?
I just summoned every Lovers and Fool persona available. Everything either gives me Matador (22) or White Rider (33). It skips right over Turdak (27).
This is bullshit. He better not be removed for DLC or something. He didn't have special requirements in the JP version.
Current level doesn't matter in fusion in PQ.
The only possible explanation is that he's a Triangle Spread only summon, and somehow in the 20 different combinations of shit I've summoned I haven't gotten one that works.
Fucking finally. Can't wait to see Sho's first designs. Cover looks pretty sweet too.
Why would they make a random persona a DLC?
I'm sure he is in game, I remember getting him from fights and being able to fuse him. No idea why it jumps like that for you.
I know, shit taste.
>highest iq from all those idots
>aparently dumber than spineless bitch scared by her own
>being a Chiefag
Also, she's by far the worst of the bruisers in the game. Not fast enough to be a linker like Akihiko and Yu, doesn't have useful skills like Aigis or Shinji (or his no weaknesses) and doesn't have close to Kanji's raw power.
Mitsuru isn't even that intelligent, she literally owns the school so she automatically gets top marks.
Yukari beats her in cleverness/practicality and Fuuka beats her in book smarts.
>Mitsuru isn't even that intelligent, she literally owns the school so she automatically gets top marks.
>Implying my waifu would ever cheat up the academic ladder.
Shame on you anon.
>it's 2 death persona
I swear he's bugged in the US version, Lovers and Fool combos don't register him as existing.
That helps though, thanks. I'll just grind to 33, make a White Rider then make him.
Well I got my copy of Persona Q today.
And then I discovered I'm still a fucking casual when it comes to proper hard RPGs. I'm blundering through the game getting wiped, and I only managed to make it to the third floor of the first dungeon.
Anyone have any general tips? I came for the cast and the music but I've gotta get better at this.
That's possible. When Atlus USA was making EU version of DeSu:O, they managed to make a game breaking bug that would crash the game everytime you summon a demon.
I noticed that parts of my map from 4th dungeon are gone. I know I've been there because there are some marks left in a white empty space and I remember the places.
Evil Spirit Club 2F, you find a switchboard, the yo have to walk back to the Referenc Room to get a clue where directions are written. But thet don't tell you where you should start following the directions, and it doesn't work near the switchboard.
Construct a proper party. Physical attacks are better than magic in general, so you probably want 3 physical attackers and 2 mages.
The go to party is probably
Akihiko Aigis Kanji
You can swap Akihiko for any linker (high STR and AGI). You can swap Aigis for any random front liner like Shinji, but she really helps you tank with Swordbreaker (and she gets Runic Shield as her final skill), plus her damage is good. Kanji is a monster and I wouldn't recommend switching him out for any reason.
P3MC is the best mage straight up, but you can run Yukari, Yukiko or Zen/Rei in his spot you really want. Naoto is also a staple I wouldn't touch, she's irreplaceable.
Use Fuuka as your battle navigator, all of her skills are amazing and the first one will carry you in early game. If you're still in the first dungeon and picked the P4 side, curse at Rise for being a useless slut and try to slog through.
Fuse subs based on what they can learn and what they can inherit. Physical abilities which say they hit multiple times are especially strong, you can get Swift Strike on relatively early Personas, that crushes bosses and FOEs. Your mages are there to exploit weaknesses, especially Naoto and her Hama/Mudo kit.
For tips on linking see >>88166737
By physical attacks I mean physical skills. Of course, they're less good without Fuuka's navigator ability to sustain their health cost, but in general they hit harder and are what you want against bosses/FOEs since they have no weaknesses and your mages will run out of SP way before they die.
Plus you can even get elemental physical abilities if you want to exploit weaknesses on your bruisers.
Mages in this game are mostly for support, which is why P3MC and Naoto are the best due to their high agi and luck, you can status/seal most FOE and bosses in this game. Confusion is probably the best one later in the game since it lowers their agi and acts as a magic/power bind since all they'll do is attack and sometimes hit themselves. Poison is also good especially in the beginning since nothing you have will do anywhere close to the amount of damage on FOEs as poison does.
I should add, Impure Reach(incubus skill card, skill card extraction opens up in the 3rd dungeon 3rd stop) is the most broken skill in the game that also doubles the accuracy of instant kill spells as well as the accuracy of status spells
In the first dungeon they are. After that the lack of a sub persona and the fact that their damage is total shit until you get Knight/King of Cards at level 43/63 means they should probably warm the bench.
They're good in the first dungeon, shit until level 43 then pretty good again.
He'll just spend the whole day talking about Chidori. Especially since she's alive in canon from the FES flower event and presumably back with Junpei according to Ultimax.
Especially if it's English dub Junpei and that obnoxious way he says Chidorita
I've been using a Tam Lin for linking and it's worked like a charm. Though it seems weird to me that Tam Lin is higher level than Cu Chulainn.
> Mass Destruction comes on when P3 cast comes to save the day
That scene was great.
isn't this shit game-breaking if you plan ahead for it? normally you wouldn't know about the shit youc an dow ith it until really late on when you realize skills like godlen chain even exist
>Giving Alice to Yukiko
My God, what have I done? These two must never meet.
Speaking of game-breaking, Healing Harp from Orpheus Telos. I've combined that with Shura Tensei, and I've been able to kill FOEs on my level in 3 turns (specifically the babies from the 3rd dungeon)
>planned to use Naoto, Kanji (because Kanji is legit my favorite P4 character and i've always thought the two looked cute together) and P3MC (because i'm sick of seeing Yu's faggot face everywhere and I need Blue Jesus back in my life) as soon as the game was first fucking announced
>all 3 are top tier
Cool for me, I guess.
And how to Junpei, Yukari and Fuuka hold up? I haven't heard much about them yet.
Junpei is okay tier, Yukari isn't that good, and Fuuka is a better battle navi. But you basically have no reason not to use Fuuka and Rise both. One for battle, one for navigation.
You can designate who does battle support and who does dungeon support. Both take different skills, so it's better to make a sub-Persona which helps with one of those and then assign them separately.
Honestly, just make a sub-Persona that heals and give it to Naoto or someone else. The problem with characters like Yukiko, Yukari, and Teddie is that they're slow.
Alright, I think i'll keep Shinji/Junpei, Kanji and Aigis up front while putting a mage MC and Naoto in the back.
I might be using all the OP characters but damnit they're my favorites anyway so I don't give a shit.
But goddamnit I still wish this game wasn't so damn slow. Going from EOU's lightning fast battle speed to PQ is so painful. Even on max settings it takes like 2-3 seconds between attacks and I hate it.
>Once you hit a certain point most battles will end after a turn anyway.
Or you can limit yourself to never using Hama/Mudo, except on that one where you get a conditional drop for doing so.
PQ is too much fun to let one imbalanced mechanic ruin the rest of it.
Ruin it. Doubly so if you're in the business of artificial difficulty and set it to Risky, then you'll feel the other side of the broken on your Leader's face. Even if the enemies aren't boosted by Impure Reach like your Hama/Mudo caster is they'll still eventually land one with the generally high success rate, unless you manage to get Null Light and Null Dark on their sub. And no, a Homunculus won't save you from a Game Over if your leader gets IK'd on Risky.
The success rate with equal LUK stat as the target and a tier 1 spell should be something like 50% against weakness, 10% against neutral and 1% against Strong. Double that for the higher tier ones. That's roughly how it is in other SMT/Persona games.
Instead it's way higher than that (especially the neutral resistance IK probability), plus the broken interaction of Impure Reach.
It doesn't ruin FOE or boss battles, though, since they Null that shit. It does trivialize every normal encounter, but I can live with that if that's the only flaw with PQ.
Oh fuck that anime.
Is that the one with the hand in the bathroom and the ghost that gets trapped by drawing a red line in a mirror? And the cat is possessed right?
I don't remember much of it.
I heard that you can quickly redo the Group Date match questions and the wedding scene. How do I do that?
I hope that wasn't bullshit, redoing the whole second dungeon from an old save file just for one scene sounds like a pain in the ass.
I was mostly kidding but honestly that doesn't bother me because as >>88181316 said the actual battles with any challenge to them don't let you abuse them. Random encounters by the end game are pretty easy and with the right navi skills, you won't even come out with less HP or SP. Hama/mudo just basically speeds up the process for me.
But you can see the tears forming up in the bottom of her eyes though.
I was shocked at how much detail and individuality went into those mock wedding scenes considering there are 20 possible outcomes. Not only that, but there are different lines depending on if you're P3MC or Yu.
That's crazy. 40 different variations of one event, all with multiple dialog choices.
Did most people here get who they wanted in the wedding scene on the first try? I was glad I did.
I have her on my team give her a good persona and shes good I gave her Orpheus Telos and boom a boosted golden harp just feels good also tentarafoo at the start of the battle usually works for me.
I have her in the the back with Ken while Me/Shinji/Kanji take the front
Yup I got Mitsuru!
