The very rather straightforward and affectionate Yukiko Amagi
I'm not gay but I really like his design. I think it's
Dude, you will probably be hating her in a few months. She is totally filling the bitchy first girl who fights your bro all the time role, and by her looks and Hashino saying the characters are going to be more ill-mannered, she might be even worse than dub Yukari.
You and only you need to choose with all your free will one character from previous games to make an important camel in Persona 5. Justify.
I guess Mitsuru would have the best chance at making a camel, since Kirijo is super rich and has the technology
however I heard Nanjo has even more money although I did not play 1 or 2
>she doesn't have a personality yet so his shitty "for ____" post is just "for love!"
MC. Because I want to see Potter NTR Yu.
Chihiro was the treasurer and later president of the Gekkoukan High Student Council. She may not have wielded a Persona, but she still put in a helping hand for her school!
its ok anon
Potter-kun is a very, very sexy young man
No, I played all the games except P1 and P2.
And if this >>94630806 is supposed to be the joke, they should have made it seem more like Tatsuya.
But then again, how are people supposed to get this fujo joke?
>it's a gay looking guy with glasses
>"N-no he's a gentleman and h-he's cool"
The fedora levels in this thread are high. Also I fucking love the fags here pretending that generic emo-looking MC no. 586498 is somehow unique and is a great character design. I guess when the characters don't offer much, you have to make shit up to convince yourself.
Oh look it's another harem protag that looks like a nerd so weebs can self insert. 4chan's reaction: "NO HE'S A CLASSY, AMAZING CHARACTER AND HE IS SUPER COOL".
Naoto because waifu chasing after the P5 team
Keep in mind I'd be upset if this actually happened (which thankfully it won't) because I want P5 to stay as far away from P4 as possible
until the inevitable Persona 5 Arena game
Why are you so angered, my companion? Come, sit and let us have a chat
For positive thinking
It was either Ultimax or Blazblue and the version of BB that would be at EVO is hot garbage so the choice is obvious
Why is this design so good but the story around it is so
I don't know how PxDN's story is but everyone says it's bad and I doubt that shit's ever getting translated
Well, shit. I guess I've gotta read it then since apparently the light novel is better than the manga. Thanks, anon.
You know what would be cool? Since blu-rays have more space than DVDs, they could put more game modes in. Imagine something like a parkour game while you're roaming at night.
Of course, I'm liking hyping myself for nothing.
I don't think the parkour element is going to be nearly as relevant as some people assume. Well, outside of the dungeons, at least; P5 had a pretty heavy resemblance to SMT IV's overworld exploration, which was much more vertical and interactive than previous games.
>one dungeon has a thing chasing you that you can't fight like the prison in DDS2
Holy fuck how terrifying
I think SMT IV had a great concept going and it worked well in some places, but fell flat in others. The lack of random encounters and the increased emphasis on exploration and having a big, interconnected landscape to explore make it very fun to just run around, and the dungeons almost seamlessly fit in with the overworld. Midtown wasn't an awkward series of square corridors, it was a ruined office with upturned desks and chairs serving as the walls with demons hiding in the cubicles. The problem was that you get to areas like Kagome Tower and Lucifer Palace that scream, "it's dungeon crawling time nigga" and they feel blatantly unfinished. If each dungeon had 1-2 more floors added to it, the game would feel so much better.
I'm very wary about P5 overdoing the stealth aspect, at least until we see exactly what's up with it, but I'm glad to hear Hashino emphasizing that they'll be playing up the thief motif in the dungeons with various gimmicks, traps, puzzles, etc. I just hope they aren't way too short and end with a "please go to our shit randomized dungeons for length" notice.
>sneak through a floor unseen and get bonus EXP
>not getting Big Boss rank
> Playing Persona Q.
> Not paying enough attention to the FOEs at the end of the third floor of the first Labyrinth.
> Accidentally start a fight, Risky difficulty so no running.
> It's not the regular FOE for this area, despite the same appearance, after a google I find out it should shit on me and laugh at my corpse.
> 45 minutes later, I've beaten it.
FUCK THAT WAS SOME TENSE BULLSHIT.
PIC RELATED, SURVIVORS OF THE FIGHT , YUKARI NOT INCLUDED CAUSE SHE DIED.
Aigis, Leader skills and Tarunda OP, pls don't nerf.
I'm pumped as fuck.
> Using the thing that dropped, I can make bullshit OP armour for MC and Aki for this part of the game.
I EARNED THIS.
Shame Aigis, who did all the work, can't equip this and will be stuck at 35 armour instead of 99.
Is it bad that I hate Naoto's P4 design but like her non canon long hair one?
I want Dojima
It'll probably be a low ranking ShadOps grunt. If people aren't dying or going missing, a 'phantom thief' with unconfirmed persona powers would be low priority. Plus I get the feeling that with that public safety group actively undermining them, ShadOps is having to stretch its resources a bit thin
I think I want Naoto. Like, I dunno. I'm not sure if I want her in P5 in a "this would be a cool cameo" way or a "I believe this should be in the game" way. I think it's the former of those two things. Honestly, I'd be fine if it was like Persona 2 where characters from the previous game were showing up. As long as Narukami isn't in it I don't think I would mind, but I'm still not sure if it's something I want.
I honestly feel like Shadow Ops is never going to be directly referenced in a mainline, numbered game
It just strikes me as the type of thing some second tier writer made up because they needed a justification for the story mode in a fighting game
>red eyes plus blue eyes equals pink eyes
Also red hair + blue hair = purple hair. Anime genetics. At least she has different hairstyle than both of them.
No, wait. They should've combined both so her face would be completely covered by hair.
Wouldn't it be weirder if they didn't exist? It would mean that Mitsuru, with all her wealth, firsthand experience, and accumulated research dating all the way back to SEBEC, decided to just sit on it forever and pretend the world is perfectly safe even though there's no guarantee that Erebus won't eventually break MC's seal, or that there isn't more entities out there able to end the world just as easily.
I'd be cool with Naoto, but it's going to be some new character. And even if Atlus didn't already put a detective or two in everything, it's a gentleman thief setting. You need an honorable and well-intentioned, sympathetic detective rival. Like, without your Zenigata equivalent, what's the point?
Of course there is going to be a detective. Zenigata was based on Herlock Sholmes, who was originally Sherlock Holmes before England slapped France with copyright and intellectual property infringement threats.
With our main hero sporting Arsene it's a given that there will be a Herlock in pursuit. Chances are Herlock will be a girl as well and the party member that joins halfway through the game when the case gets too real and Arsene has to decide whether to take the score or save Herlock.
Yeah, the Detective Office has main characters on their staff instead of s.links. Shit son, the girl from IF works for the Kuzunoha Detective Agency. They also have ties to people from IF, Persona 1 and 2, and Devil Summoner.
People who have seen and been through crazier than an angst filled moon work for the detective agency.
I dont know I kinda like the idea of the shadow ops as something to keep the P3 cast relevant
But they are fucking useless considering all the shit that happens around and involve shadows (ie. inaba and soon, shibuya) flies under their radar
That's because the persona 3 group at large is useless, even in their own game. MC literally carried the entire SEES group to the end. If he had better friends they might have been able to do more than just erect a fancy door.
Persona 3s cast was like some kind of inverse version of Persona 2s cast. Tatsuya was a useless shit that kept fucking everything up and everyone else had to pick up the slack. MC was an overly capable messiah while everyone else was a useless shit that kept fucking up.
And in the end the only one that decided to stop fucking up was the robot.
Even Elizabeth was largely useless in comparison to other Velvet Room denizens, and all Belladonna did was sing for Igor.
Tatsuya was wrecking shit left and right in P2, especially in EP.
The point was that he could never do it alone, no matter how strong he was.
And I dont know how you can say MC carried SEES when he wasnt even relevant until the very end of the game.
You cracked the code
Whatever tech they use to sense shadows is clearly in its early stages. They didn't get a reading off Inaba until the fog from the TV World was reaching critical mass, since they were looking for shadows in the human world rather than humans being sent to the shadow's domain. Now that the existence of the collective unconsciousness has been confirmed as a physical place, they're in a much better position to identify shit from there.
There are no biggest velvet room freeloaders than nameless and belladonna
All they did was fucking sing
Gladly igor wisened up and installed home theater in the room while keeping the music on a loop
> MC isn't relevant until the very end
You mean when the story actually happens? Even still, MC is the force that solves everything in every capacity in P3 except saving Junpei's girlfriend because the force of cock block is magnified by the infinite energy of purity.
Well, everone around MC awoke their personas because of his power
MC is the one that sropped the train from crashing
MC is the one that broke from the shadow mind Control
MC is the one that lead them through tartarus
He did a lot of stuff
Because video games.
I don't get how anyone can like negotiations. I could barely stand one game doing it in about 6+ others sounds like it'd kill me.
Teddie can make exits from the TV World
this is probably because he's a shadow
but personas are also just shadows
So shouldn't anyone with a persona be able to learn to make exits on their own?
I mean I get that Teddie probably wouldn't even know how to teach someone, but it could probably be figured out with enough trial and error.
There is plenty of story throughout P3, but its all about the SEES characters that arent MC.
MC didnt solve a single thing in P3 until the end.
Mitsuru's drama needed Yukari, Akihiko needed Shinji and Ken, The robot needed Ryuji and friendship, Yukari needed some alone time, Fuuka needed Natsuki, Junpei needed Chidorita.
One of the reasons I dont like the first movie is how hamfisted they tried to make it all about MC in the end.
>everone around MC awoke their personas because of his power
This is absolute bullshit, even without the answer you should know this.
Not the guy you're replying to, but
>Well, everone around MC awoke their personas because of his power
>MC is the one that broke from the shadow mind Control
So did Yukari, and presumably whoever else you brought along
I agree that MC does stuff but I dunno what you're talking about with those two points
>Doesn't know the pleasure of making a god-beast cry because you just extorted it for 20,000 macca
No, here's why. Thoughts in versus thoughts out.
Human thoughts went into the TV world, allowing humans to make the entrance in. Shadows are created in the TV world and can exit, which are thoughts out. The TV world was a reflection of the human world.
Only Izanami could go both ways as she was similar to Nyarly and Philemon in being both a part of the human psyche and separate from it due to her deity status(much like Nyarls and Philemon.)
The jews fear the samurai
This is why 6 gorillion movement havent reached japan
The thing us that the negotion system has stagnated
They could do some very interesting shit with it but they long since decided that smt would be its niche franchise and therefore not worthy much investment
>you can rob your poor best friend until he has nothing to his name left, whisper sweet nothings into his ear about your fond times together in childhood, then kill him
SMT IV negotiation is fucking hilarious and amazing
Near the last months of the game, i remember Fuuka saying something about Junpei, Koro, Ken and herself awakened faster thanks to him
You needed to talk to her on the lobby after Ikutsuki's death
As fero the mind control, i find it weird how Mitsuru congratulated onky MC fro breaking out of it
Or maybe I'm remembering wrong
Teddie's basically magic
Like, I don't know how him being a shadow is supposed to explain the fact that he just created a human body for himself, or why he was even a bear in the first place
Probably Teddie's pillar of televisions was semi-permanent until he decides to take it down. The better question is how did Teddie know to make the portal a television when he didn't even know what those were.
I'm really trying, it's just so tedious.
I could see social links be real annoying if you had to do them 10k times saying the same shit like in regular SMT games.
I should probably re play it soon
I did remember Fuuka saying something about people around MC awakening faster, similarly to the shadows becoming more active thanks to his arrival
As for the mind control, it's very possible I'm wrong
I don't remember that, and the only situation where that could be even slightly accurate is when Fuuka got lost in Tartarus and MC helped save her, but even that's a stretch
If I remember correctly, Junpei awakened on his own and was then found by Akihiko and joined SEES, and Ken and Koromaru developed their Personas at some point off screen, completely independent of the MC
I think you might be getting P3 and 4 confused
shadows are inherently shapeshifters. Just what form they take is usually influenced by whatever humans are nearby at the time.
Teddie, as a shadow who gained an ego, wanted to get closer to humans. First he took a form he thought humans would find appealing (cute mascot), and once he understood humans a bit better he took the form of one himself.
He explains most of this in the limo ride after he gets his memory back. No matter what form he takes, he's still a shadow and never not a shadow.
Yeah, the game tells you that.
The midnight channel reflected the shared thoughts of the town and the desire to know more.
The shadows were creatures shaped by the thoughts of people(hence super robots and lewd dancers and such.)
The special programs were the exaggerated desires of the person inside to share the truth.
The dungeons were reflections of the psyche of the person there. (Such as Naoto building a Shocker base and filling it with robots, tanks, and turning into Kikaida at the end because she's got a complex about being a child.)
Namatame's "shadow" in the hospital room was created by the investigation team in order to justify their feelings about wanting to kill Namatame.
the first part definitely happens, I just played through that section a few days ago. I can;t remember exactly the effect she indicates he is having but she definitely implies that he is either leading to increase in people with the potential or something similar.
The Answer is pretty explicitly about how and why SEES awakened to their power.
Fuuka awakened because Natsuki was in trouble, not because MC saved her.
MC being nearby influenced them in an anime Power of Friendship kind of way, but not in an important way
>MC didnt solve a single thing in P3 until the end.
He stopped the train from crashing
He did all the field leading
But it's still an influence
His power is what made their awakenings easier
I'm not telling you that what you're saying isn't the case I'm telling you that I also remember that conversation taking place, I can;t remember the exact specifics of what effect he is implied to have but there is definitely something.
>telling a npc what they want to hear
sometimes you just have to bully the cute demon so they'll stop taking you for granted
>His power is what made their awakenings easier
Yukari, Mitsuru, Akihiko, Ken, Shinji, and Aigis all have a persona before he even shows up.
That leaves Junpei who got one like a day later, and a dog that didnt even know him.
Yukari helped Mitsuru reach her potential.
Shinji helped Akihiko and Ken reach their potential.
Yukari helped Yukari reach her potential.
Chidori helped Junpei reach his potential.
The only one that MC had anything to do with was maybe Aigis, and that still skews towards friendship and feelings more than just MC.
P3 deliberately made MC a background character throughout the entire thing to make his sacrifice at the end stand out more. He went from not caring about anyone or anything, to being completely selfless and saving a group of people he wasnt entirely involved with.
Yeah, basically he helped with Junpei, Koro and Fuuka, dunno when Ken awakened his
>reach her potential
No, you're mentioning the resolutions, I'm talking about awakening to the potential, they're completely different
Really Yukari's dad awakened Yukari's potential
Fuuka was entirely based around Natsuki, not MC in the slightest.
Ken was after seeing his Mom die.
And he has even less to do with awakening to the potential than the resolutions.
More than half the cast awakens to their potential before meeting him, some of them years earlier.
just because you get to control him doesnt mean you get to twist his relevance into everything.
somehow this is all Yu fault, I just know it.
at least Tatsuya had EP to go off of.
Aigis best protag
>Aigis will never become a centuries old machine god dedicated to improving humanity for reasons she no longer remembers
>Fuuka was entirely based around Natsuki,
That's what triggered it, yeah, but MC's power gave her some training wheels to do it smoother
Remember how Mitsuru mentioned people that awaken to their potential get some effects like memory loss and other stuff?
Fuuka didn't feel any of those, don't know if Koro did either, Junpei freaked out but he didn't actually forget anything
Those were all thanks to MC
That's what I'm trying to tell you
>somehow this is all Yu fault, I just know it.
>at least Tatsuya had EP to go off of.
>Aigis best protag
Looks like kantai collection
Which I'm pretty sure is just touhou except it's a card game about personified war ships with no story
someone will probably correct me about kancolle's deep lorerather than a bullet hell about personified japanese monsters with an oddly convoluted story
>Those were all thanks to MC
You cant just make shit up, its going to give me autism.
Theres nothing to imply MC had anything to do with those awakenings or powers.
by fate he had a piece of Death stuck in him, that makes vital in the main Evangelion plot part of P3, but the rest of SEES and their drama and arcs dont need MC at all.
>You cant just make shit up,
But I'm not making it up
>Theres nothing to imply MC had anything to do with those awakenings or powers.
Except that the game outright tells you
Seriously, how hard is it to understand?
There is no real story except they fight a much better looking monster girls because of reasons.
And they actually killed off one girl in anime.
You can marry the girls in game
Why didnt we get to see Yukari dressed up in the traditional jap archery outfit?
Why do japs dress up when playing bow and arrows?
>And they actually killed off one girl in anime.
>You can marry the girls in game
what the fuck? that's really odd. Am I wrong in thinking kantai collection is a card game?
>Am I wrong in thinking kantai collection is a card game?
Nope. You collect cards with shipgirls on them. I think they have affection meter like in Valkyrie Crusade.
Every card has special login/defeat/whatever dialogue. Marrying them makes them stronger and the card changes slightly. You can marry one ship for free, if you want to be a dirty cheater, you have to pay. Pic related is the most often married ship from what I remember.
Nope. They just tell you they love you.
she's not intentionally lying, she just cannot into human things
she also thought nanako was yu's lover
>implying she's not
Touhou was never really about otaku wish fulfillment
At least, not until ZUN is on his deathbed and needs money to support his family and makes the ultimate touhou dating sim (which as far as I know doesn't exist in even a fan capacity)
This is way weirder than I thought it was. I'd expect that from fandom but not in the actual game.
not that it matters, though.Do you at least get to open packs of cards? Cause that's like the only part of card games that will always be fun.
>that sounds cool as fuck
the concept, art, and music is but if you can't into rhythm games then its not for you
>Do you at least get to open packs of cards? Cause that's like the only part of card games that will always be fun.
Depends on what you mean. You get random cards by defeating enemies, so if it's the element of surprise you like, then that should work. If you just like to open new packs, then nope.
You should try Valkyrie Crusade. It's not the same as Kancolle but maybe it will get you into games like that. And it's in English.
We usually have generals on /jp/ but not right now. Give it few more hours, new event just started
I remember playing that on my phone. Glad I stopped.
Naoto cowtits cosplay.
