Jack Frost is the mascot of the ingame corporation also called Atlus
This why he became part of public conscience, like other mythological beings, and thus gave shape to a demon
If you ain't beat at least 10 SMT games you need to git gud
>not localizing Atlus games
>glitches and typos in their translations
>charging more than full price because they're Atlus
>condescending as fuck newsletters
>same 4 shit voice actors in everything
Off the top of my head.
>You know, the PS1 is selling shitloads in Europe, a continent which also fucking lvoe anime. Should we make an European branch?
>Sir, it is 2014, should we make an European branch now?
>Nah, let whoever the fuck do it, let fucking Zen United
Thank fuck Sega bought them, we'll actually get shit released
More like if you played more than 10 you are a weeaboo shitter and should have spent those 1000 hours learning Japanese just to play your moemon fantasies
That image is moo anyway, nobody who played more than 3 games, not including Persona, would still like Nocturne
>that image is moo
My little bait can't be this fresh
You break humanity free from the administrative system and use the wills of all 7 billion dead people to create a new world.
You become God at the expense of never having contact with anybody but Alcor ever again.
Keep resetting the world and fight invaders over and over.
Bad end where you and your friends are sacrificed for her brilliant "plan" and then humanity is put on trial again with nothing to protect it, wiping humanity out, and giving you the game over screen.
I actually agree with this, early game at least. You have to grind up demons to get skills onto better ones, unless you're rich enough and at Ikebukuro to access the compendium. I had to grind for Matador my first time, not for my MC, but so I could get buffs onto decent demons.
Who are you talking about?
I, for one, like our new rulers, even though I've never met them in person.
However it is a pity that we had to destroy the moot sculpture, well it should be for a better future, our new rulers know what's best for us.
How do the other characters react to that?
Do you or anybody know exactly when you get Yamato back and how important he is compared to the Septentrione story?
Could somebody try to explain the deal with the whole data screw up clearly?
Also what's the overall mood of the game? More or less dark compared to Septentrione?
All rise, the Church of Messiah is now in session.
He isn't dead, he is just in deep meditation
SMT1, Nocturne, Strange Journey, Persona, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 Golden, Digital Devil Saga, Soul Hackers, and Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei as a part of Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei.
I've also started DDS2, Devil Survivor Overclocked, SMTIV, and Megami Tensei 2. My hunger is strong. And I only got into MegaTen last January.
Why not point out Megami Tensei 1? That's even older.
But also more accurate apparently. I guess the fan translator added some flair to the script that wasn't there before.
>But also more accurate apparently. I guess the fan translator added some flair to the script that wasn't there before.
Eh, that's debatable. There's a blog where someone plays through the official translation and the fan translation at the same time and notes the differences. There are a few things that the fan translation rightfully has but the official one doesn't, like the american soldiers speaking in butchered japanese.
A big problem is that Japanese as a language is very open for interpretation.
I can't wait any longer for SMT 2 and If those fucking shitstains promised they'd come over too and there's nothing yet because of FUCKING PERSONA Q DANCING 5 FUCKING DIE ATLUS FUCK OFF
At least PQ was fun while it lasted, heck you fight Zeus in the end.
Don't be stupid, we all know it's going to be
If we could only end the general, we'd end the shitposting and suffering forever.
IV is even worse than P4 in how shit it is to the franchise, at least P3 and P4 had the same team. Even Kaneko dropped that shit after he barely stopped working on it. Let's just end this general, I can't take the pain of this series going downhill anymore
You can deduct how important Yamato is by simply looking at the cover art, bonus soundtrack cover, and the fact that he is the only character to get two promo videos. Quite important. A joke among the Japanese is that he's the heroine.
The game's name, "Break Record", appears to be named after his route or at least related to its concept through word play. You get him back on Thursday. Like the Septentrione arc, the dragon stream plays an important role in the story. You can't defeat Miyako, free Alcor from imprisonment, or defeat Canopus without him because of Hotsuin shit. Your data is glitchy because you protected Alcor from an attack and it damaged your data, and Yamato is staying in the Akashic Stratum to continuously repair it. The world with Miyako in it is actually a reset version of one where they fought the Triangulum before but lost because your damaged data caused you to disappear. Yamato was the last human alive and managed to kill the last Triangulum by himself but was fatally wounded in the process. As he was dying, Yamato wanted Alcor to give him another chance, to which Alcor takes Yamato to the Akashic Stratum, resets the world again, and an error caused from the missing Yamato, who's repairing your data so you don't disappear again in that world, causes Miyako.
>we shud end the general
>all smt games are shit and i hate them
>we should just murge wit /pg/
As for how everybody reacts to you becoming administrator in Alcor's ending, the only ones who know are Alcor, Miyako, Yamato, and at the last minute, Daichi, because you lie to everybody so they wouldn't be worried and Yamato is the only one who sees through your lies. Yamato was upset, but he respects your decision and has faith that you know what's best. He gives a speech before you go where tldr he says he's honoured that he'll protect a world that will be watched over by you. While everybody else is lying outside the room unconscious, Daichi awakens, walks in on it, figures out what's going on, then breaks down in tears while reminiscing the things you wanted to do together. Miyako was supposed to accompany you but Alcor kicks her off the pedestal before you go and tells her to live her life happily as a human. When it's time for you to go, Yamato and Daichi freak out and dash to the pedestal as you and Alcor finally disappear for good.
The Triangulum story is a little sadder than the Septentrione one, but if you do Yamato's ending you'll leave on a lighter note.
Every new title released after Strange Journey has been barely mediocre, at best. This isn't a coincidence. Just recognize that this series is going to shit, the rest of us have.
You're not the first person here to say that. How apathetic can you people be? You openly admit that you're playing garbage, but you keep buying and supporting it. You're on the level of EA and Activision fans.
My post was on topic, there is no white in Persona.
Has Debisama even been here? It seems like the shitposting's driven him off...
Are these good skills for a Physical focused Demi-fiend?
I guess. Yamato's attachment to the MC is amusingly strange though.
And yeah, he's loyal to you regardless of what ending you choose. A reoccurring theme in BR is that you need each other. Yamato can't win without you, you can't win without him, and you have to keep seeking each other out. Every single thing he does is done for you or because of you. He'll readily be put through hell if it means protecting the MC and his ideals.
By the end of the story he's as close to you as Daichi and Io are, maybe closer. He's the only one who walks right up to you when everybody meets up again in his ending.
I usually throw warcry on him by the end because I have 2-4 demons with Fog Breath in my party. You'll only need Endure if you're having a tough time with Beelzebub or Lucifer, and you can get rid of Divine Shot if you've got Freikugel.
Yo, quick question about Digital Devil Saga 2.
I just beat some boss at the Airport and Gale is telling me there's no turning back once we get on the plane.
Is there a shop where we're heading or should I go back to the hangar and sell/buy everything I need?
Thanks Anon, you've showed me the light
Miyako, I feel she's fine but forgettable amongst the rest of the characters because I'm not into her gimmick, but that's my opinion. She felt disconnected from everything going on with the characters and story outside her own problems, and she felt like a plot device most of the time. Some of the "woe is me" coming from her in attempt to garner sympathy backfired and was a little bit annoying. Sharing the spotlight with Yamato, who I felt was the most well-written character, doesn't exactly help her either due to the contrast in writing quality. On the other hand, she's at her best when interacting with him due to their amusing fights, and accidentally helping each other realise things they don't pick up on their own because they're both socially inept.
As for Miyako's feelings, I'm not sure how to interpret. You could say she's into you, though not as much as the three clear ones (Io, Makoto, Yamato), but there's also behavior between her and Daichi that could be interpreted as flirtatious and she's close to Io. Io tries to fill the role for Miyako that you do for Yamato.
She makes fun of Yamato and calls him a dog because of his devotion/obsession with you which makes me question how she feels. If it's anything, it's not as intense as the other characters.

From what I understood nobody succeeded in that battle
to the point that they all have terrible flashbacks to how Arcturus raped them all. Yamato included.
The irony is that
even with Yamato, Arcturus is still too STR, and it takes Miyako giving him her power and imprisoning it to defeat it after it multiplies into a thousand cheese graters.
Nothing depressing about
wearing bunny hoods.
Also, I noticed Canopus is influenced by Indian mythologies take on the star as master of water.
They were all still alive despite dying, so it's likely it stopped attacking once it fatally wounded them each.
Hell the scene shown of Daichi dying and the city in flames is clearly reminiscent of the game over screen, so Arcturus likely went on to finishing the towers since the threats were out of the way, and likely didn't take Alcor swooping Yamato away and making a third world.
>Bowing before the Administrator to create a new order via brainwashing
No. That's a bad thing.
You must kill Polaris. Free the world of the administrator.
Polaris and Al remind me of Psycho Pass and their VA's. Sibyl vs the white faggot from season one.
The idea is that humans need to fight them off to achieve freedom for themselves no matter how many times it takes. I'm not entirely sure but presumably it's new invaders each time, and Nicaea gets upgraded.
I guess it's a good idea to someone who likes fighting. It could make for interesting stories.
Yamato manages to take that concept of freedom by humans for humans and make it work and be practical long term without being a retard.
SMT4 has mechanical changes and elements that seem dumb even to a newcomer like me, but it's not awful. Sometimes I think fans want new games to be bad so that they can take on the role of the wise old guard that knew how things were back when things were good.
Not even. The games are pretty archaic even for that time period. They're good enough to make up for it, but there's a reason that square games from then could pass off as having been mae nowadays for handhelds but these couldn't.
This game as a whole seems to. One of the endings is about going back in time and fighting over and over hoping for a solution. (And this seems to have happened in-game already a few times) One of them is sending your main character away forever to become like a god. The comparison can't be accidental.
And kyubey already acts like the angels in megaten do. Too bad there's no angels in this world to draw an even more hilarious comparison with, by having one stand around "helping" you.
Yamato doesn't really travel through time
and instead enters the Akashic Records which is outside it, and it was Alcor who helped him get there. Then the universe needed a Hotsuin replacement and made him a sister, only to fuck up because even the great will that oversees the universe can't program shit right and made her part Triangle.
The angels are worse than qb. qb is just slightly misleading a relatively small amount of girls into becoming magical girls to save the universe from heat death, the angels actively promote genocide and brainwashing.
A batshit crazy, over-protective, gay yandere that would have no problem letting himself and others suffer to save the MC that he thinks can do no wrong and has a creepy demon-thing haunting him?
I guess I can see it.
They're both doing more or less the same thing though. Shafting a random selection of people because they say its necessary to save more overall. And they're both cold hive minds who are expected to be technically willing to do this themselves, so they don't feel guilty doing it to other people either.
I'm at the battle in Devil Survivor where you fight alongside Kaido and Honda. Kaido just lost all his HP and retreated. Do I get anything if I keep him around throughout the whole battle or can I just continue?
Pretty sure it's the same either way. Someone dying in a fight only matters if you're in control of them, if I remember right, and even then, it's unrealistic to go for that achievement on your first playthrough unless you wanna savescum super hard.
Still here, just haven't had any major things to update about lately.
So what are the requirements to start if and move on to purse owner 1, Is it just smt1 or 2 or are there some other side stories I need to go through before I
incur the wrath of this thread
I made this graph earlier for my own purposes. Obviously she appeared to originally be more law when working for her dad. But turned chaos when he went crazy. Then realized that that mentality was a little extreme once sayaka started going crazy, and became closer to neutral.
Mami I put halfway between law and neutral, since it seems that in the main story she more or less knew what was going on and was going along with it even trying to get more people involved, knowing the ramifications. But its unclear what percentage of this was for selfish reasons versus actually agreeing with the role.
Homura in a way has a little chaos, but I think that may be closer to dark neutral than to chaos. Its more general than literal. I only spent a few minutes making it.
As opposed to what, purple? That would be less obvious.
I know moon, I just want to know if I need to beat smt 1 and or 2 before starting it and if I need any other supplemental material.
I just want to play both parts of 2 but I figure I should start at 1, then that got me thinking I have to play if, then that got me thinking what other games I have to play and I figured you guys would know.
If... is a side story and barely has anything to do with 1 or 2, it just uses a ton of sprites from 2 since it was a pretty lazy game
Might as well just play 1 and 2 though, 1 is pretty short for an SMT game and is really easy anyway. Plus it has the best music in the series
And very definitely don't watch the show. The movies are 5x better.
Also, watch the first two movies before the third one. The third one is basically a ca$h in on a completed series.
So let me get this straight. Out of the BR endings am i supposed to assume
Yamato = chaos, since you're doing something that gets rid of the alien blobs for good.
Ronaldo = neutral, since they always talk about how neutral means you'll have to keep fighting. So for some reason you want to literally keep fighting them in order to become balanced?
AO = law, because you are establishing a new god?
This is an interesting thing relating to the alignments in general. Since it basically hints at that yamato was chaotic in a sense all along, but went along with polaris because it was just how to get what he wanted. And even though the first game treated AO like chaos, this new ending isn't much different than his original one. And if this is the new "law" ending, then that means that retroactively his first ending was kind of lawful in a way, too.
Or maybe they just don't give a shit whether it makes sense, because desu2 is now popular, so they want to just throw the characters into a tenuously related story.
Just beat Strange Journey
how does /vg/ deal with the SMT hangover?
>Or maybe they just don't give a shit whether it makes sense, because desu2 is now popular, so they want to just throw the characters into a tenuously related story.
It was inevitable to get something like this like how DeSu got Overclocked (and lots of people held off on buying the DS game because of it), and it's not any more popular than the first DeSu over there.
How? I thought the "point" of his new ending is that if humans prove they can "beat" them off without doing whatever chaotic shit yamato wants to, then it proves human independance.
Loving the way these tracks are ordered.
why do they have to have the same alignments as before? especially since they get a lot of character development.
and I thought the point about Yamato only going along with Polaris just to get what he wants was obvious. he's a psycho and didn't even like Polaris.
and was Alcor really chaos since you're just replacing the old with a new?
Its also kind of ironic that desu pretended to have more endings than just law / neutral / chaos, and yet overclocked ultimately just scaled it down to having those three endings. If they really wanted they could have made an eight day for gin and atsuro. Hell, gins would have been interesting. Make up some excuse for why the comps and your magic still worked, but you have no demons. Either make you fight with no demons against some group that is trying to find some way to bring them back, or give you some token humans who you put in your demon slots.
Then for atsuro it could even have a split of its own that's internally alignment based. Have two different people tying to take over the demonic power in the name of the government, and you side with one or the other. And they vaguely reflect law and chaos, but human versions of them, giving two different endings. This would make for an interesting split in general, since if atsuro's ending counted as anther version of either law or chaos, then counting gin, overclocked has two of each.
>and was Alcor really chaos since you're just replacing the old with a new?
The thing about Alcor is that he doesn't intervene like Polaris and is all for human freedom. Putting him on the throne was more of a necessity since they had no idea how else to get rid of the overlord. Same with Yamato only making a deal with Polaris out of necessity. They had no clue how to overthrow him and didn't want to try anything dangerous for humanity (and when they do it causes the Triangulums).
Well, a lot of people here and in the fandom in general seem to think chaos only counts as chaos if its tribal people punching eachother in the dick in a jungle with no laws. (despite gotou being a leader, ozawa ruling a town with an iron fist, lucifer being a king, etc.) Pointing out that yamato is still chaos rather than law makes for an interesting critique of chaos in general, pointing out that wanting perpetual chaos that you maintain in a chaotic state rather than allowing it to deviate if people want is still a system of a kind.
And desuII treated alcor as if he was a kind of chaos. You unlock lucifer by raising his fate, if I'm not mistaken. I originally thought he would be a wildcard who was some chaos and some law, but his ending and his speech during made it obvious that his "thing" was that the new world would be however people made it. And in the end he says he'd become part of the world rather than its administrator. Since this is more or less what mem aleph did, you can definitely tie it to chaos.
>The thing about Alcor is that he doesn't intervene like Polaris
Which comes off a little hypocritical. Alcor says that without asking polaris, he came to earth and gave them art and civilization, gave yamato's family a magical dragon, guided humans from the shadows, etc. So he very much intervened plenty. And his ending almost comes off like him tricking you into giving him more power to do that more in. But then they handwave this away
>But then they handwave this away
They alluded to it with Yamato's suicide. Whether or not it was Alcor's actual intention or just a sad coincidence is up for debate, but the game definitely acknowledges it with Yamato's freak out.
I just watched that scene now. That's not what yamato freaks out about. He insists that alcor is just working for polaris still and humans shouldn't accept him even though he's an alien blob who was there for that reason. He doesn't say anything about your new plans.
But the reason yamato gives for him being deceptive has to do with secretly being a septentrione, implying he's working for polaris or at any rate is alien. He doesn't say anything about putting him in power. And the reasons he gives don't make any more sense than allowing polaris to remain in pwoer
Alcor didn't take the throne. He used it to become one with the earth and becomes a literal father earth.
It's even explained in Record Breaker that he isn't a true Administrator and so sitting on the throne will leave things worse off.
But that was still his objective after slaying the Administrator. In fact it's Bunny who goes to him and convinces him to overthrow the Administrator, otherwise he won't do it.
Anyone with a brain could figure out what AO was being secretive about, and that was being a Septentrione.
It wasn't a well kept secret.
>What's with the "But.. Perhaps I could... accept your invitation... in the next life."?
Had to let you know he's queer for you before he kicked the bucket.
That and the whole feud there was personal because he viewed Alcor as the source of his suffering, now screwing with his life yet again.
Not quite. Al was "subtly" telling you up until then that you should. Then when you talk to him the last time he acts "surprised" that "you" came up with the idea. That reeks of suspicion.
I never saw it that way. It came off more as AO saying something without realizing the repurcussion of his actions or words. Something that has happened ever since he gave man fire.
The only ones who I felt were trying to influence him into joining Al was Male Tico, but it's likely those AIs develop their own personality and make their own actions. Considering they are connected to the Akashic Record and apparently
Miyako is the one running Nicaea in Triangulum
His early presence is thousands of years old, and can talk in regular language. Assuming he's capable of understanding humans enough that he could talk to them that long ago, apparently communicates with the hotsuins, and his AIs are programmed to act like people, meaning he must understand a significant deal... I have trouble believing that he "doesn't get" the implications of "do you think humans should be ruled by a giant alien blob star or not?" The very act of asking implies he's considering both possibilities and weighing them against eachother. He can't be surprised that you did the same thing and then picked one.
This is like blue exorcist levels of bad writing, where satan "doesn't know" what death is, despite plenty of the demons who come to earth totally understanding perfectly what human life is like.
And yet he still doesn't quite get humans for all that time he's spent watching them.
He completely misses jokes and assumes Bunny is being literal, and disappears and reappears all the fucking time. To the point it can even scare Bunny with the right choice.
They act a little crazy, but they sill look and act more or less kind of like humans. There's no actual reason to assume he doesn't understand even the basics of interaction if he understood thousands of years earlier the implications of giving humans art, fire, and civilization. Its one thing if he just recently started interacting with them. But he's been there since before the dawn of history. That means that a lot of what it means TO be human very well is likely based in part on their interactions with him.
There's no reason why if he's smart he still can't get them. You would have to assume that he's like some lower life form that can barely think intelligently but vaguely cobbles together sentences. Or that he's so alien that he exists on some plane where its not possible to understand. Which clearly he doesn't seem to be too much. These are things that someone who knows how to talk and communicate should at least understand the implications of, whether or not they understand what its like to be the one experiencing them.
Alcor gave humans those things, but it's never suggested he interacted with humanity much.
The most human contact he likely had was the Hotsuin family, and they aren't a good idea for trying to understand most humans.
Alcor's a bit weird with his intelligence, as he admits he has zero understanding of human tech, but still developed the summoning app and Nicaea.
They acted more like demons than humans.
Looks like Alcor just gives humans shit as experiments to see what they'll do with it after, not caring about the repercussions.
I'm curious as to how he met the Hotsuins and why he gave them what he did, it would explain a lot.
Also, its kind of funny how desuII hadwaves demons altogether. Like... what differentiates them from star beings? What differentiates a universe ruled by a star being from one ruled by a demon of some kind. Why can star beings not communicate with humans at all, save for the top ones? It kind of erases the logic of being being too alien if polaris isn't too alien.
I'm not sure what you're getting at or how it relates to my post. Whatever interpretation of Trumpeter you got, I didn't get.
Looks like you keep going out of your way to dig for problems that aren't really there.
If I thought Persona 3 was cool with its mythology, gods, fusions and BABYBABYBABY, is Nocturne going to blow my goddamn head of?
I've already heard that badass normal battle theme and it sounds like an immediate purchase once I buy a PS2.
Small warning. Although its a lot of people's favorite game, this is mostly due to the battle system. Mythology wise, nocturne is known as the odd one out, since while it has a lot of mythological references, it just kind of throws them all over the place haphazardly in a way that makes it obvious they were just kind of using any demon wherever. You'll need to go into some other games in the series to actually feel like the demons are used right according to their mythology.
>Yamato's Ronaldo route death made me feel like shit, too.
I like how Yamato dies as an act of heroism and then basically says it's his punishment for being an ass the whole time.
As opposed to how Ronaldo dies in Yamato's route in what appears to be a blast of self-defence from Yamato when Ronaldo retardedly attacked him for no reason whatsoever.
So should I also play Digital Devil Saga or Devil Summoner?
Unfortunately I'm balancing a job, school, and a girlfriend right now so I can't devote all my time to diving face first into SMT, but I definitely want to play through the good ones.
Digital devil saga has some demons appear in it, but they're mostly used in a way similar to persona, rather than being "real demons." As far as mythology goes, its less about the demons themselves, and more about hindu theology of the world in general. With a little bit of buddhist or other theologies thrown in. Note that digital devil saga 1 & 2 are considered one game. The story from one leads directly into 2 after a cliffhanger that is meaningless by itself.
Devil summoner 1&2 has a lot of demons and they actually have personalities. But they're mostly used to tell a story rather than their mythology BEING the story. Raidou 1&2 are technically evil summoner 3&4 despite being called 1&2. They have demons too and are good games, but mostly are just telling a story. Their story ties into mainline a bit and adds to those themes though, but tht won't mean much to you unless you've played those games.
Mainline is 1, 2, nocturne, SJ, and IV. And all but nocturne try to use their demons in thematic ways that tie into a larger world as a whole. With in game "religions" that have to do with them, and which show their relation to humans. For the sake of argument, devil survivor one is thematically considered part of mainline. Devil survivor 2 and nocturne are thematically a little different, but still do have a lot of demons that are shown interestingly. Even though they are used weirdly, nocturne still has a lot of cool demons in it which are given personalities.
Pretty much any game in the series is a great game though. (Though some appeal more to some people than others.) And though the world and mythology of the series itself is interesting and huge, there isn't really any one game that is going to show all of it in a way that does perfect justice. Many of them add to eachother.
>Unfortunately I'm balancing a job, school, and a girlfriend right now so I can't devote all my time to diving face first into SMT
Oh, my. It's true, you're the only one who has to do that.
>but I definitely want to play through the good ones
>that is meaningless by itself
>devil survivor one is thematically considered part of mainline
I have a question for you guys. I have enough eshop dosh to get either SMTIV or soul hackers, you guys seem to hate both games though after scanning the thread. Are either worth it? Which is better?
The only SMT game I've played so far is devil survivor overclocked and I really enjoyed it. Will I enjoy either of those games?
Both games are good, don't listen to the haters. SMTIV is probably a more fully fledged package though; Soul Hackers is the port of a game for the Sega Saturn and is a bit old school.
SMT IV was my first SMT but I enjoy it, it's not the best but it's a above average RPG that's a bit broken.
I haven't played SH.
SMT IV, she never wears the outfit in that however.
More like I have eshop dosh that I acquired for free and was looking for a good game to spend it on. If I enjoy the one I get, I'll probably buy the other.
Are they both the same style of game? Devil Survivor (the SMT game I have played and enjoyed) was great but I really like srpgs. I hear that the main series of SMT games are dungeon crawlers. Are both SMTIV and SH dungeon crawlers or is SH another genre like DS? I like dungeon crawlers too, but the only ones I've really played much are the etrian odyssey games.
I'm trying to figure out which one I'll enjoy more.
Guess I will ask about this over here. About devil survivor early bad ending. It says on the wiki that if neither the player nor the civilians escape, the ending is averted. When this happens, SDF soldiers appear to defend the wall, and the protagonist's party (along with any surviving civilian on the scene) promptly leaves before they are attacked. So what happen after that? You can continue on to the other endings?
I don't think that's a delusion anyone here would have. Who exactly is he fighting for the position with? I don't think that if we took a poll for best lawposting le fucking neuters guy would be brandishing the lead with confused republican who never played any game but devil survivor but assumes that the angels are republican who posts once then disappears forever once they get trashed pulling a close second.
Hey, you forgot about me.
It looks like I missed the confused republican, what a pity. When did he post?
At least several months ago. I think it happened more than once. At least once, but I think twice, a lone person wandered in talking about why the angels and "God" are right about everything, but when asked what it is they were right about started describing things that had nothing to do with the games, but seemed like typical republican talking points. This actually happened a few times, but most of them I doubt are serious. There was only one or two I thought actually were. But I lumped them together.
And what do you mean forgot about you. Who are you? The mysterious third lawfriend who was posting during shitposting week? Or someone else.
Sounds like it was an entertaining read.
Pretty sure we weren't only three guys.
I seemingly posted differently a lot since I didn't get a persona covering all of my posts. I went full shitposter in one of the discussion near the end because I was suddenly alone against the mass, it was pretty funny.
Yeah. It does seem true that they were lumping certain types of posts together that may not have all been one person. But you realize that that means that some of the posts they call le fucking neuters guy might be you right?
Yeah, well, a lot of things they insist happened that week never actually did. If you ask them, it was literally one lawfriend causing shitposting the entire week. Ignoring that their argument breaks down when you ask what he was shitposting about, and point out that almost all his posts were responses to other neutral shitposters, often many at once. So you can't really paint that as a one way street if you think it was a problem.
Personally, I think its hilarious. I wish we could get more people in here who love legitimate alignmentposting of all sides, to turn it into an everlasting valhalla.
I love that retard that screencaps every law post for an epikk surprise. A lot of the posts he capped were pretty legit in context and also without, still he seems to seriously think that they are shitposts or objectively wrong or just cruel/national-socialistic.
That'd be great.
By the very nature of law, there are no socialist aspects to it.
So if anything he's just making a fool of himself for doing that.
Especially the one recent one he screencapped but no one seems to know why, nor does he tell anyone. The first time he posted it, someone pointed out that it said the opposite of what he was implying it did. And no one knows what other purpose he seems to be posting it for.
What? Law is like mostly socialism. And national socialism has nothing to do with socialism.
>Law is like mostly socialism
Oh anon how deluded you are.
>implying ever since Marx included increased state authority both politically and economically in his ideal for a classless society, communism has ever been anything but a dictatorship
Chaos would be a where the strongest would rule, eventually one would make a dictatorship through enough power if they wanted.
Law would be a dictatorship where YHVH (who would be the strongest being anyway) would rule.
You are all the same.
>long standing video game company
>makes references to older games they made for fans who've been around or played more than just modern releases
HOLY FUCK THAT IS SO FUCKING WEIRD WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOD
YHVH doesn't run a socialist state though anon.
There is literally nothing wrong with being White
I think it was Famitsu that had a big 'Messages from Creators' blog at the end of 2013, Yamai had a section where he mentioned the team was hard at work on their next game and that they'd be quiet during 2014
That's not what I meant. Also I just discovered that I can manually change my characters skills to any skill I don't have equipped and have already cracked. I thought I'd have to take him through a few Free Battles to crack some skills.
Are you If guy? Nah... if he promised something like that, he'd be long dead.
Oh, lost little anon-chin...
My mom ordered something around the same time as me, so when DHL called, she had it forwarded to where she works. I'll have it in about an hour, but I might sleep for a bit. But don't worry, pictures are coming tonight.

Oh jeez, there's just so much stuff to look through, I have no idea where to start. Dengeki Comic Anthology looks hilarious. Flynn doing some lewd handholding with Isabeau, Flynn dressing up like a militant juggalo and holding a floating demon like a balloon so as not to "stand out", Isabeau wearing Hikaru's schoolgirl clothes and Hikaru wearing Isabeau's samurai outfit, Isabeau in housewife clothing, lots of Isabeau basically. Also kinda neat seeing the interpretation of Flynn dying and meeting Charon.
DEMONIC GENE focuses on Walter and Original Character Gina do not steal, -Prayers- focuses on Jonathan and Original Character Asuma do not steal, while it seems that Dengeki Comic Anthology seems to focus on Isabeau and Flynn.
It focuses on Walter, Gina, and Yuriko. It also shows that Mastema had his own angel henchmen, having the angel Abdiel who slayed Lucifer in Paradise Lost.
Prayers focuses on Jon, his OC friend, and some fallen angel faggot who becomes a real angel again for some reason once he enters a cocoon. Also some Unirabbit.
And they both feature some AU Flynn that was never born.
Mara was a girl in King Abaddon, which came out before SJ. Get your facts right.
Star beings are aliens. Demons are not. Star beings can wipe out humanity and the universe will continue, while Demons rely on humanity for their continued existence.
Except in SJ, Last Bible, Devil Children, etc.
Alcor can even mention at one point they are similar, but different from Gods and Demons.
It's the stars world. Man is just living in it.
>mfw I just found out that not only did Maken X come it in the US, it came a month before the japs got it
>by simply looking at the cover art, bonus soundtrack cover, and the fact that he is the only character to get two promo videos.
there's also the fact that Miyako is in a way technically him.
He's the most popular character by a lot so she was inevitable when it was known he had a sister. Fanart came pouring in years before her design or anything about her was even revealed, it was rather odd.
Didn't they only admit that recently? She had a minor mention in an artbook or something before since it was relevant to him being a gemini but I don't remember anything about that.
Guys, I seriously need help with DeSu 2. I barely make it through every battle and I can't tell if it's because I'm not grinding or what. Every demon I have is shit and gets taken out in like 3 hits if I'm lucky, and it takes forever to take down most enemies. I have no idea why I'm having such an issue with this game, I breeze through most MegaTen,, including DeSu 1. I'm doing a Mag/Agi run and just got to Tuesday if that makes a difference.
It's how Yasuda wanted it, and needed it.
>not gluing random strips of fabric to wear as clothing
Angel. With an outfit like that being her idea of everyday wear, how is it even a choice?
So is there anything specific anyone wants to see?
No, but that had basically all the main character concept art anyway. This book has pages for
>Isabeau (misspelled Isabeu)
>Gabby (known as Gaby in Japanese)
>Issachar (known as Isakal in Japanese)
>Skins (known as Tsugihagi in Japanese)
>Stephen (known as STEVEN in Japanese)
Followed by NPC concept art and all the NPC sprites in the game, and all the equipment concept art, then this >>95581606
No concept art for the demons, just their normal artwork.
Before it starts showing all that, the first half of the book is dedicated to all the location concept art, while after the demons, it has various cutscene stills from the game. Interviews are all throughout the book, most being next to the art, explaining various things about it. I can't read moon, but here is part of what it says for Isabeau.
Sorry if the images are upside-down or to the side. Try rotating them in Paint.
And the other part at the bottom of the page.
Most "Isabeau being cute" stuff is in the Dengeki Comic Anthology. They tried their hardest to make Navarre as adorable as possible in -Prayers-. Looking at the ending, looks like things get pretty crazy.
>Normal Lucifer was likely planned for the game until they had him shat upon.
Isabeau is not the victim, she's the instigator and receives righteous punishment on both routes.
It is ALWAYS the victim's fault. If they didn't want to be a victim they should have gotten stronger, LMAO.
I see some stuff for Masayuki Doi and Eiji Ishida, but I haven't seen any KAZUMA KANEKO anywhere. He might be in there for story-related stuff, I would be surprised if he wasn't, but you can tell he's not the focus of this book.
Jonathan, Asuma, and Navarre hold off some super demon at the end or something. Glowing Flynn appears, removes the paper from his face, uses Messiah Riser (or Messiahlyzer, whatever), and then gives his power to the other samurai. Jonathan goes Super Saiyan and beats the demon.
For some reason, it's not letting me take pictures anymore.
Because deep down she knows chaos is right, and thus falters.
So if I wanted to learn moon and had to take a language course for college anyway, how helpful would it be to just take a Japanese class at the risk of being surrounded by people unable to hide their power level? I'd be taking the course in tandem with independent learning.
>Jonathan goes Super Saiyan and beats the demon.
Whenever you can, please, please post a picture of this.
From what I recall the demon fused with whatever was in the cocoons the angels keep around, and then became a giant angel monster with eyes where mouths are and mouths where eyes are.
But on law you don't go back to the surface after fighting her. The best she could do is accompany you to the end, and you tell merkabah to give you a few minutes to have sex before you die
An anon from here did chapters 1-7.
Gina is a human experiment.
So is Yuriko, and is a failure to boot.
The experiment was make a human from demon flesh.
Navarre's a pretty cool guy.
Stan is not Satan.
Flynn was never born in both, and in Gene he's an evil black guy with a big white smile.
Walter becomes part Amon, and eventually becomes Soil Walter.
The Angel Abdiel works for Mastema.
Gina is able to go back to Mikado via magic stone bullshit.
The Sky Tower collapses.
Walter lives in Tokyo for the rest of his life.
Black Flynn appears to be doing this all in an endless timeloop.
Yeah, that's what it looked like.
It also gives a bunch of promotional art we've already seen near the end of the book.
And the last page is the cover without text, and Flynn not wearing even the white shorts.
She's a human experiment pretending to be something she's not.
Since Gina isn't around in the normal timeline, she likely got munched on by Yuriko like she always wanted.
The whole experiment kinda reminds me of how humans become demons in Mikado, considering all it takes is their emotions going out of control. In Gene this doesn't happen.
