If anything ATLUS likes to empower minorities.
Hey so what ever happened to those two Anons that were translating the PSP version of Devil Summoner?
So i just started DDS and i was wondering what the best build for Serph is, anyone got any tips?
There is no real best. Strength and magic are both around equally viable. Just be sure to distribute your party's skills too; you don't want to end up with multiple people casting the same elements.
Due yo press turn nature a phys build has the problem of mission a lot unlike magic so i suggest a build focused on str, mag and Vit that should make Serph extremely useful.
Because the games are meant to be played from YOUR perspective and not the character, otherwise they would give their MCs a personality and fixed name.
If you arent SI you are doing it wrong.
That anon its not shitposting, ATLUS games are meant to be self inserted into otherwise you are playing it for the wrong reasons.
What are you 1000 years old loli?
Pay attention to the skills you discard. There is no way to get back a discarded skill.
And I think those affect magical defense too. Just remember that in Nocturne there's two spell series for affecting attack - tarukaja for physical attacks and makakaja for magical attacks.
don't fuse your demons, they will level up and get stronger
put all your points into luck in the beginning
don't use skills like war cry or fog breath, they cost too much mp to be useful
avoid the kalpas as much as you can
It generally does this
STR: Physical damage, HP, Physical Def
MA: Magical damage, MP, Magical Def
VI: HP, Physical Def
AG: Speed, Evasion, Hit rate. In some games it also affects both Physical damage and HP to some degree, can't remember in nocturne
LU: Evasion, Hit Rate, Crit Rate(both dealing and receiving them), how many turns it takes for Aliments to wear off, item drop rate
Now that SMT is a stupid fucking meme on /v/ thanks to the stupid Hunger games threads, are you guys ready for a huge wave of newfags that will try to get into the franchise and come here to make stupid fucking questions?
Try to have as many demon types as possible with different investigation skills as well.
Also have many ammo types with you. Have many elemental spells because some demons that null bullets apply for elemental bullets as well.
Yes. Its better than the general being kept alive though shitposting.
The red chest things that only demons can open have different stuff in them depending on the kind of demon that opens it.
Demons that TtaLlkK LiIkE tHiis always get treasure type items that you can sell to the shop.
Hunger games simulator became huge at /v/, there was even a tournament, SMT characters never won a single match, even if they were 1/4 of the roster
It went on sale a couple weeks ago for 6.99, but seriously it's only 10 dollars
Yeah, but I doubt it will go again soon since there's this heavely scheduled PS sale that lasts 8 weeks and has alredy details on what franchises goes on sale each week, so I might just buy it on tuesday after the week deals are updated
Starting SJ over after not having played it for like a year. I got to Sector Delphinus last time; seeing as I'm fairly familiar with the game, how long will it take me to motor back through to where I was?
I dunno, rushing Antlia should be easy but Bootes is complex enough that you could take quite a while to finish.
Maybe around 10 hours?
What ending did you guys get the first time you played Nocturne?
>They'd also have to tweak their translation to fit timing with the Japanese dialogue. "Next" doesn't always match up and some things are completely different that you'd notice they're not what the character is saying even if you don't know Japanese, like Fumi singing her name instead of counting birds for example, or characters saying something in English but it's translated as a different English word.
some companies just dont give a fuck
It makes you appreciate atlus usa a little more.
I appreciate them every five minutes of playing Xenoverse. Grammar and spelling errors all over the place, character's names aren't correctly shown for who's actually speaking at times, etc.
I just went back to playing Raidou 2 now that I have a component cable to hook my ps2 up to my HDTV. Everything's pixelated as fuck but I forgot how perfect the fusion system and battles are.
Also, for the first time I've been playing Nocturne.
Currently level 57. What's a good level to tackle the third kalpa with Dante up your ass without having to worry about random battles with estoma? I notice if a wild demon has a level higher than yours, estoma doesn't work and I'd rather not sit through a bunch of annoying random battles in these kalpa's. These dungeons are hard enough as is.
During the Dante chase there are no random encounters at all in the areas he's in. Other than that, Estoma and the Repulse Bells are all you really have in terms of lessening the random encounters. If you're playing on normal it's much easier to run from battles
Not soon enough.
Please make it a console game on ps4 after persona 5, atlus. I will suck a billion dicks if so.
For every fiend encounter except the one in Kasumigaseki you keep loading and reloading until it appears, and with the Kasumigaseki Fiend you just keep opening the door until he pops out.
Is this correct?
well is not much but it helps a little:
enter in the menu and search for the... digital or optical? i dont remember correctly and put it at:
Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr
What size is your tv?
I miss Imagine Online.
I miss having Alice follow me around, and bunch of people throwing me invites because of it.
I miss shooting demons in the face with a shotgun, and dressing up my characters.
I'm upset they didn't transfer my character or anything either. This planet is real fucking shitty sometimes.
I'm up, I'm up.
Let's get this shit going.
Which SMT game has the most demons in it?
Which Persona game has the most demons in it?
1- Raidou 2
2- Digital Devil Saga 2
3- Strange Journey
Just got the White ending in IV on a Reincarnation NG+ because I didn't want to do a "real" run when I was just going to end the game early anyway. I thought maybe going with their plan would give me a new angle on them or something but if anything it just made me depressed, especially when you're destroying the reactor and Burroughs tries to warn you one last time, then "congratulating" you while sounding really sad.
Fuck the Whites.
I'm not saying that the White ending is buddhistic but their philosophies are very similar.
I'm not opening your retarded links. But we already know that. It should be noted that wanting actual self annihilation is something buddhism warns against, and points out that extinguishing your aggregates is different from desiring total annihilation. Since a desire for annihilation in itself is an aversion to suffering, which is another thing that your enlightenment is to help you overcome. And that you're not meant to see extinguishing your aggregates as erasing your existince, but rather transforming it from something that experiences the world subjectively to something that experiences it objectively. Which is so far beyond comprehension even to the gods that its seen as not existing.
It is however true that mahayana buddhism accuses theravada buddhism of having a self destructive tendency. They claim that a true buddha would be all moral and ths stay in samsara helping all people achieve a collective enlightenment that they experience together. And consider theravada's goal of just leaving as fast as possible without it mattering your relation to others to be effectively just hating existence.
Either way, there's no way you can derive from the white saying they want to erase anything a good interpretation of anything resembling a coherent buddhist resolution. Its only buddhist in the sense that people accuse buddhism of flirting with these tendencies.
Their world view is almost exactly the same. The White however think that it is reality and because of that there is no spiritual way out. The only option they see is returning everything to nothingness.
Of course there are a fuck ton of different interpretations of Buddha's teaching but from what I know Buddha really wanted the (spiritual) annihilation of the self.
I'm curious, how can links be stupid?
>Their world view is almost exactly the same.
Its not. The misconception comes from assuming that what buddhism is describing is total self annihilation. But its not that at all. Its a transformation that comes from erasing what you "know" as the self. And involves intense training to learn otherwise. You're taking "thinking something is bad and wanting to change it" and spinning that as a similarity. But that describes every ending. Trying to turn yourself into an impersonal abstraction is different from trying to literally erase yourself.
At best you can tie this to the fact that there may not be total enlightenment in the smt universe, so this is the only way to totally erase the self. But that's not about the white being buddhist, so much as it is a dark spin on religion and reality in general. Te idea that everything "just working" is a fantasy, and that you have to work in light of this. And that someone who wants a thing they realize isn't real may desire total annihilation seeing it as the only way to stop rebirth for good. Contrasted with SJs law end, which seems to stop rebirth for good, and do this for real, without erasing everything.
Again I'm talking about the world view, self-annilihation is part of the solution/reaction.
And again for Buddha it is spiritual like you described while for the White it is not.
But you really can't deny the similarities (of course you need to consider the different universes) either.
>there may not be total enlightenment in the smt universe, so this is the only way to totally erase the self
I already adressed that, for Buddha our world is not real/illusional, Nirvana is the absolute reality, while tbe SMT world is reality for the White. YHVH, Lucy, all other demons continue to exist as long as humans do, for them neither side seems like a good solution, the suffering will continue, even if one ending did stop it for a limited time. They don't believe that any Law ending is a (permanent) solution and they don't believe in a spiritually accessible Nirvana/Nothingness.
I dunno about that, they chose some pretty bad wording and quotes if it was a Persona spinoff.
>He found the dark atmosphere of Atlus RPGs compelling, and he is glad his wish to join the company came true.
>“Personally, I believe Shin Megami Tensei III is Atlus’ magnum opus. I want to realize a game that surpasses even that.”
>H.I. finishes by saying that, since game production goes over a long period of time, he is still involved with the the game he started working on since he joined Atlus two years ago. It is an unannounced RPG, which he states will be rather innovative, and he hopes fans will be receptive to it, as it is different from previous titles the company has developed.
Two years ago matches up about when the Maniax team was finishing SMT IV and moving onto their next project. Wonder if it's a new SMT spinoff or that new IP they've been talking about being in development.
Wouldn't completely ignoring manners, customs, habits of the place on is posting in be more autistic? The userbase of 4chan in general doesn't approve of emoticons, writing like one speaks, etc. This isn't a chatroom where everyone talks like they would while on the phone or from face to face. So please don't write stuff like Uhmm... Uh-huh etc. like a 12-year old kid. A lot of people would be pissed if you talk like for example a narrator in a literary work.
