OST need re-up apparently
Last Thread: >>96907931
Seriously? Fucking Ose. Is there even a final act to close the game's story? That's one of the things that kept me playing it until the US server was shut down. What happens between the law and chaos sides?
Yes the story closes with the fetus Fetus: Spared or not spared.
Then you have the next story which is alternate timeline shenanigans and sexy secretary Louis Cyphre and Universe Seth.
Now followed by the story of Godly Satan and the new Cathedral dungeon.
Just now realized that Miraishitposter's post got deleted last thread.
Wanted to impersonate him again because his identity is very important to him but it seems this won't be necessary anymore. Pretty sure Mirai is as grateful as me.
Thanks, based reporter/janny.
I've read that some of you guys think there will be a SMTIV Maniax coming out? Why do you think this again?
I mean there is no official announcement and I can't even think of what kind of content they could add. I think those story-related DLCs are all the additional content we get.
>alternate timeline shenanigans and sexy secretary Louis Cyphre
What? Is that what Beelzebub on the TMG Building was vaguely mumbling about? Something something, nice job breaking it hero, I'll be back, something something.
The most boring smt award goes to......
>This is what smtg actually believes.
SMT 1&2 fags are delusional as hell.
>SMT 1&2 fags are delusional as hell.
I agree because of the backtracking (which by the way isn't as bad as a lot of you make it out to be) although I think both aren't really boring, and they're really nice games when you play on PS.
Most boring (gameplay-wise) SMT I've played until now are the Devil Children games but those are pretty alright too if you look at them as Pokemon games which I unfortunately don't like anymore. I think I'd love DC if I still did.
Magic is shit.
Negotiation is complete shit.
The Ui was inferior in my opinion.
Almost no battles gives mag wich is BS.
Man Eaters so early in the game just because fuck you.
On the bright side autobattle was better at least. If SMT 2 story was as interesting as 2 i would had dropped 2.
I'm afraid I cannot accompany you for the climax of this story my friend!
>Magic is shit.
>Negotiation is complete shit.
>Almost no battles gives mag wich is BS.
Wrong. I still don't get how you guys manage to have problems with MAG.
>Man Eaters so early in the game just because fuck you.
Ever heard of AG, LU?
Then explain why magic and negotiation are shit, also don't forget that you're arguing for why II is worse than I.
>Its true, seems only spirit/zombie type demons gives mag.
Yes, if you fight them on your way, you have enough MAG. I never had MAG problems, even though I never grinded and always fled when I saw a Man Eater.
My favourite SMT game. You'll probably like it if you liked the old ones.
Oh my god.
>Be prepared for long dungeons with bad design.
Well, you can't expect much from SMT. The only game with really good dungeon design was Debisama.
Magic damage is pathetic, not even stacking makakaja makes it work shit. If you are going to say its not shit just because one single spell (That few demons have and that mp wont allow many casting) then fuck you.
Negotiation is complete RNG BS, some demons even fully negotiated will refuse to join. They give shit rewards. In SMT 1 negotiation is less RNG and more knowing the combination of answers specific to that demon type. Rewards are far better as well, mag and money is easier to get thanks to negotiation.
Mag is scarce as hell because almost no fight gives mag.
>some demons even fully negotiated will refuse to join
Ever considered differing alignments?
>In SMT 1 negotiation is less RNG and more knowing the combination of answers specific to that demon type
Like in II.
>Mag is scarce as hell because almost no fight gives mag.
Almost no fight is a lie and again, if you wouldn't have your demons out 24/7 like your dick then you'd have no problems with it.
I really like Louisa in Strange Journey where she appears for five seconds then fucks off forever
Guess Luci was just embarrassed whe he realized he left his pervy suit on instead of the german guy
At least we got a game where he slightly fucked off, and let someone else represent chaos. The series is nice, but I don't get why they decided a core staple should be LACK of variety instead of more variety. The references to the old games would be more endearing if not that it generally symbolizes lack of new content.
It gets good near the second half when the game actually bothers to tell you what the fuck and stuff actually starts to happen
I find it really hard to believe that the original release didn't have the Amala Labyrinth, because that creates some serious inconsistencies
Not the mexican, since there's often human representatives. Mem aleph is interesting though, as a kind of counter yhvh. But at the same time ambiguous, since her name and nature and alignment makes it vague what she actually is. Her hair was fuck ugly, and should have been better, but that's another matter.
For a series that started about different religions, it kind of barely emphasizes religious content. No one actually thinks lucifer is an inspirational religious figure except edgy teenagers. So the chaos side in general would be better if it had more actual gods that anyone in real life actually cares about. Vairocana is one. Have someone like him actually be a more core representative. Having real religious figures floating around barely matters if only kind of one ending has to do with them. And considering games like II barely even that.
Like the only reason you got the bug was that you could be raised to be this badass demon that can help in the final battle. Plus you don't get any exposition on who the manikins or Aradia even are
>Like the only reason you got the bug was that you could be raised to be this badass demon that can help in the final battle.
He just wants you to fuck with the great will.
>Plus you don't get any exposition on who the manikins or Aradia even are
That's not an inconsistency.
But that makes sense just fine in the original. In the original lucifer just says he wants you to take a good ending. Hikawa was the one who created the vortex world, and presumably originally was assumed to have the upper hand. Since he's making a lawful type world, to lucifer it could only have a net positive to empower anyone who could fight against him, and who would at the very worst, want an ending less lawful than him. For whatever reason he decided you were the best one to do this.
The manikins and aradia don't inherently need explination. Her backstory wasn't important to the main plot. Shes a mysterious god. That's all you needed to know. The manikins are vaguely explained by chiaki too.
The more pressing issue is that hijiri is obviously implied to be aleph by the extra content, but in the original game there wasn't much to hint at this. Since to you then he was some random guy who didn't die when he was supposed to, and did some random stuff, and then vaguely talked about wanting rest when Isamu killed him.
>he was some random guy who didn't die when he was supposed to
I just assumed he entered the hospital while you were fucking round the basement, then the game told me "Aren't you wondering why he isn't dead?"
>hijiri is obviously implied to be aleph
Alright, thanks. I actually did play a couple of hours and wasn't really feeling it, wasn't sure if I should try to power through anyway though. Might come back to it later if I care enough I guess.
Depends if you want to
live the lawful lyfe. More content, no matter how similar or hard to get through helps develop a more complex theology.
>Kagutsuchi is shaped like an ovum inside of a protective shell
>After it's matured, a giant column is erected inside of it
>Everyone races uő the shelf to put themselves inside of it and create a new life
>Lucifer (who is pro-choice) hires an outside element to destroy all of these
>It's literally called Conception
Just because the games are too lazy to make alternate models for the "same" demon doesn't mean that all of them actually look completely identical. Why would all angels be Swedish anyways?
Why would Angels look different? Why would they have individuality?
And why shouldn't they look all have blonde hair which is associated with purity, innocence and shit
and goes pretty well with the black leather
If you're using their in game model as an argument, you have to apply it to everything, even chaos demons like lilim, which all look the same in game. And if they wanted semi uniform designs, shit like throne wouldn't exist.
Blonde hair is reasonable, but not entirely ideal. It does match the black leather though.
>If you're using their in game model as an argument, you have to apply it to everything, even chaos demons like lilim
Yes, I do. Where is your problem? Models/sprites changing sometimes from game to game?
The demons look like that because that's how they are seen/depicted by humans, that's kinda the point. I never saw any statement in the games implying that every demon has individual looks, so your assumption is a bit reaching.
> And if they wanted semi uniform designs, shit like throne wouldn't exist.
What do you mean?
That was meant to say similar. And you're making a bizarre assumption. Game mechanics are as a standard in any game assumed to not inherently be 100% a representation of what you are meant to assume is literally happening in-universe. And your point points it out yourself. The same demon has different models in different games. Yet will share the same model in-game with all of that demon. Unless we're assuming that every single one changes their appearance simultaneously for no reason, then these things are obviously more of game mechanics than literal.
Then why doesn't every demon change appearance every game? Some demons changing is just fan service/for diversity.
What is my bizarre assumption? I'm not the one claiming that every demon looks different/has an individual appearance.
Yes, obviously game mechanics can be limiting but, like I said, never in this series was anything like them having an individual appearance mentioned. So the bizarre assumption would be exactly that which has no basis in any game. If it would only be because of game mechanic limitations, don't you think the developers would have deemed some mention in game or at least in an interview that they, in fact, look different necessary?
>Then why doesn't every demon change appearance every game?
Because their appearance is a game mechanic.
>never in this series was anything like them having an individual appearance mentioned.
It was never mentioned for "human" race enemies either. Are you literally assuming that that means its implying that there's hordes of identical looking humans roaming around? If this isn't assumed for humans, there's no reason for it to be for demons. And it would be bizarre at any rate to assume that chaos demons are like this, even if you can make an argument that law ones would see it as good. And arguably even law ones wouldn't see it as good, since like implied in the movie the giver detailing a law-like society, it can lead to confusion if people look the same when you're trying to give orders to them to do different things.
>If it would only be because of game mechanic limitations, don't you think the developers would have deemed some mention in game or at least in an interview that they, in fact, look different necessary?
No, because that would be a weird thing to bring up, because they know everyone assumes it anyways. If no other rpgs bring this up, why would they specifically bother? The fact that named characters show up with different appearances even when they're "one of them" is meant to be enough to hint that there's actually more diversity that they're just not showing since it would take too long to make unlimited models.
>it can lead to confusion if people look the same when you're trying to give orders to them to do different things.
>No, because that would be a weird thing to bring up, because they know everyone assumes it anyways.
Are you serious? Well, congratulations for your headcannon, I won't fight it.
Rank the top 3 hardest bosses in SMT, guys.
Aside from Demi-fiend, can't think of who would get second and third place, tho.
>family portrait for ants
Fuck off, shithead.
Nothen personnel kid
>tfw Kaneko will never make another SMT in your lifetime
Thigh-high stocking boots as well
Pushing a "date". You've been doing it since the game came out. Everyone knows how the game goes now, it's on youtube, and we've even had moon speakers come in here and talk about it. There's nothing like that in the game.
Io bumps into her and freaks out because she was supposed to disappear in the new world the MC and Yamato create. Io then pushes her in the car and slams to door in Daichi and MC's faces. They then go to meet up with the rest of the cast.
Your maymay is old. Don't play dumb.
Honestly, I think it was best during early fall or late summer or around, last year. It seemed like such a nice place back then, but now its just hordes of angry autists gtting mad at their own shitposts.
>In nocturne, the scaling magic attacks receive based on your level actually makes magic do LESS damage once you level up past a certain point
>For seemingly no reason, ragnarok and magma axis don't follow this rule and instead always increase in damage as you level up
because they really want to hammer in the whole WORLD OF STR PUNCH THINGS NO MAGIC shit for nocturne i guess
i like that more builds were viable in SMTIV, i hope they maintain that for future games
DDS has the best balance between the two types from what I've seen
and really magic is great for the first 80% of nocturne or so, it just falls off at the end because of the bullshit way it scales starting to kick in and you start getting stuff like deadly fury
>set demon to auto
>wastes all his mana in five minutes
>set demon to none
>gets himself killed
>set it to manual
>not spamming it gets your demon killed
>spamming it wastes all his mana
After a while I just gave up and beat everything up myself
I just set them to use physical attacks if I wanted to conserve magic. Money wasn't lacking, and dungeons were short, so its not like healing mp was impossible.
When do you think was better then?
>Black Rider is on the second floor of the hospital
How are you even supposed to learn that shit on your own? Like, is there an npc somewhere?
Although nowhere near as bullshit as the hidden Mara room
Just got to Wednesday in BR.
Daichi's dream where he and Yamato die is incredibly depressing. I haven't been that moved while playing a game for a while. Poor Yamato could barely handle watching Daichi die it and fakes that he's unharmed to comfort Daichi, but he's actually fatally wounded and collapses after Daichi dies. The voice acting delivery was really nice. That was really sad, holy shit.
The way Saiduq carries Yamato off is a little amusing though. Saiduq takes him by the hand and it looks like that famous The Creation of Adam painting.
Anon, yer dumb
There's a demon in the first floor Kalpa who tells you where Fiends are
You just go to her whenever to want to find one, and she tells you the area they're in
So, are there any cool must buy SMT books? I can't think of any other than Quantum devil saga.
If anyone wants you can get strategy guides in Japanese for II for under $10. That's a cool thing.
I'm not sure whether to buy the first quantum devil saga now or not. I hate reading books when I don't have the sequels.
Is it even any good? The first page looked oddly written.
Does anyone know how the series in general diverges from the games? I hear it does more later on. But does this just mean trivial events, or does it not even end in the sun. I always thought DDS would make a cool 2001 style book, with the sin presented as more surreal than it was in game.
Possibly. It wouldn't be unlikely for it to be a reference, with it being a Megaten game, and the themes of the game, and it amusingly fits the character's roles to an extent. What I've read about Yamato's route would also fit a reference. I've also seen Japanese people crack jokes about Yamato and Bunny being Adam and Eve but I haven't got far enough yet to comment on anything like that myself.
Are you that faggot who tries to argue about SMT1/2 but played the PSX versions?
SMT 2 negotiation is broken as fuck, due to the nature of the translation (and Gideon being shit),
Damn, and I downloaded most of my SMT OSTs from there.
Then I can't help you since I got them from there.
Just remember that there are 4 volumes and a music collection (which is the disc that comes with the special edition of the game).
This made my night, thanks /smtg/
>Chiaki is the embodiment of chaos, via getting Gozu-Tennoh and preaching about killin the weak and all

Trying to emulate Raidou & the soulless army on PCSX2. Every time I press square outside of battle, it crashes. I've scoured the PCSX2 forums but nobody else has this problem. I think it brings up a menu, but is it vital to play through the game?
yosuga is clearly the reason the angels would like the most, as instead of a normal chaosfag anarchist hellhole of eternal war it's a place where people have set stations in life essentially from birth and there aren't a bunch of useless people standing around
compared with "nothing ever happens: the reason" or "everyone is a neet" it's not even a content for a bunch of order and hierarchy loving angels
Hello from Amazon.ca.
We wanted to let you know there's a delay with one or more items in the order you placed.
"Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker - Nintendo 3DS"
Estimated ship date: May 08, 2015
If anything this is a reminder email to cancel my order.
I enjoyed DeSu, that being said I found it to be a bit grindy for macca. Some objectives were annoying, like saving people or helping them escape. The voice acting of some characters are ear rape like that cosplay chick. Other than that, its a pretty solid game.
Demi-Fiend get's pretty overpowered at higher levels.
Am I still good?
Isn't this one of the few SMTs where you should go magic with the MC?
You're fine - any build works fine in DDS1/2. Hell, you could even get real ballsy and dump everything into LU/AG if you wanted.
Gale's stat spread is pretty balanced and he's a great party member, so yes. Provided you've got the cash to spare since you'll be shelling out double for both physical and magical mantras, a balanced or hybrid build can work well.
I wouldn't say important, but it's definitely helpful
unless you're planning on fighting Demi-fiend.LU in DDS increases your crit rate, general item drop rate and your chances of applying ailments with skills that have ailments attached to them, for example Venom Claw.
High LU combined with a skill like Chi Blast - which has an already high crit rate - means you'll be getting extra turns out the ass.
I just spent the past hour and a half, that's right, ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES doing nothing else but running around in circles in Antlia like an AUTIST trying to get a SINGLE Fairy Wings drop. ONE DROP.
Before anyone goes into the old shitposty "hurf durf why didn't you ge tthat one sub app with a stupid japanese desu name which gives you extra drop rate" I HAD IT ALL THE TIME. AND IT STILL TOOK ME 90 MINUTES.
I FUCKING HATE VIDEO GAMES.
>First time playing Strange Journey
>Do my usual opener of prodding with every element to see what sticks.
Skill User was instantly killed!
>>not saving every chance you get
Which really is fucking annoying in IV. I saved 2416 times according to the playlog.
Card Summoner is a nice game, fuck you.
What pinball game? The real life one where you one of the prizes was a demifiend figurine? Have you even played it?
>What pinball game?
The one on phones
Why stop there when you could just never wake up?
What's with the shitty music they added to AiHina's concert in the English version? It's not there in the JP version and it's not even idol music. They showed it in the RB stream. Sounds like a couple of drunk girls slowly wailing into a microphone.
They turned a fun idol concert into some sleazy shit.
I'm 4 hours in SJ and I'm still in Antila and all I've been doing is hoarding sources. Gotta catch 'em all.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with them. I just have this sinking feeling that I will end up not using any of them, ever. Any tips on demon fusion?
>Everything is a JoJo reference!
>Lets make this guy do A JOJO POSE!
>How would a crossover of X and JoJo look like?
I like JoJo but man the fanbase has gotten insufferable
man, I only started watching the show literally yesterday and I always see how kaneko talked to the dude that draws jojo so why not
or at least make some of the jojo characters secret personas or something, some little nod to their inspiration
Yeah, you're right. Check out Serph, he's in this iconic Jojo pose that's the most blatant reference I've ever seen. Sometimes it feels like the entire world is referencing Jojo
almost, but not really. Maybe the pose is just trying to show off the mark and not trying to be yet another pointless reference? The position of the arm is the only thing resembling that one pose
Yeah I don't know, it's cool and all but this is just pandering at that point
How long is DDS?
I'm currently at the 18 hour mark I think, in the sewers to be exact. Just escaped the ship.
The game is great fun and all, but holy shit the encounter rate is ridiculous. The enemies don't even change much, so battles become a chore. The same boss THRICE, visiting the same cities at least twice, those awful puzzles in the castle that punish your for making a wrong choice by making you run through the same paths over and over...
The game is good and I like the plot and characters, but maaaaaaan does it drag. The game is soo full of padding and grinding, it's unbelievable, and I heard DDS1 isn't even that long.
Is DDS2 significantly better?
Fuck. I think I can't take this anymore... From the castle forward everything has been soo fucking boring...
If DDS2 is significantly better I could push myself to complete this, but I think as much as I hate doing that I might drop this one
>Is DDS2 significantly better?
yes, the encounter rate is less savage, there isn't anything as annoying as the puzzles in the castle and the "fight this boss multiple times" guy you only fight twice (and they have a way more interesting gimmick)
when he said "halfway" he means "almost halwfay, assuming both games are considered one supergame"
there are two dungeons after the sewers and DDS1 is over, assuming you don't bother with the bonus bosses (that get you useful but not really worthwhile items in the sequel)
>The enemies don't even change much, so battles become a chore.
So it's an SMT game?
because you can set your skills so that everyone should always be able to hit a weakness and hunt skills that let you do huge chunks of damage to enemies you should be able to win in the first round even more than you do in every other SMT game
what about >>97260692 doesn't make sense?
just because it isn't the same LAW IS BAD CHAOS IS PRETTY COOL NEUTRAL IS THE BEST ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS ARE ASSHOLES horseshit as every other SMT game doesn't mean it's "atrocious"
Are you one of those strawpoll retards?
Those aren't representative at all. Pretty sure that there are more people besides myself in this general that don't bother with that shit.
Because it makes no sense in the context of the story, and this isn't true at any rate. Spinning chiaki as "more ordered" than chaos makes no sense. Chaos being a literal free for all in a jungle didn't even exist until strange journey. In the first game, gouto was chaos. In the second game, it made it clear that lucifer ruled a hierarchical kingdom. In the first game also, yama was chaos, and yama is basically an angel of judgement. It having basic order doesn't make it law. Its effectively totally identical to chaos of other games. the only thing making it law is another "even more chaos" option. Its arguably stronger chaos than had even been in series up to that point.
This also kind of handwaves that that's not how the angels act other than in II where the center was a bad joining of law and chaos people into a dark law paradigm. But yosuga isn't even like the center. It makes it obvious that its a free for all where you get your position by fighting. Which is why chiaki fights you at the end even if you agree with her.
And it doesn't make much sense at any rate. Every game since then introduces angels as acting nothing like that. And even in nocturne, the angels call kagutsuchi an arrogant god. So at best the idea is that angels are just a race that can act in any number of ways, so this group was trying to do something different, and setting up this kind of order. The problem is that for some reason gabriel was with them. Unless like in DDSII she just continually gets roped into shit she disagrees with. And while it makes sense that shijima has demons working for it instead of angels, the ones chosen were clearly all pretty chaotic demons. And lets not even get into the lack of a clear idea of what kagutsuchi is, or how yhvh relates to any of this. The entire game came off more like they just didn't think through the story more than it did accurately showing the bigger universe.
Yes, not polling at all. You'll never get a representative amount for anonymous posters, keep in mind that those numbers don't count Unique Posters like claimed but IPs instead which can't show the amount of people here.
Just don't speak for the majority of an uncertain mass, problem solved.
I am going to download and watch the Megami Tensei and Tokyo Revelation OVA's tonight as they are recommended in the chart. I was wondering if the Devil Children and the Devil Children: Light and Dark animes were worth watching though. Has anyone seen them?
Are the OVA's worth downloading? Is anything worth your time? Is your life worth living? Are these questions worth answering? Are retards worth retarding? Is a thing worth existing? Is is worth ising?
>Drop a strawpoll if you don't believe me.
>Spinning chiaki as "more ordered" than chaos makes no sense
That isn't what I said at all, just that her reason has way more order than the other options.
> Chaos being a literal free for all in a jungle didn't even exist until strange journey.
>In the first game, gouto was chaos
And that was martial law forcibly keeping people in check.
> In the second game, it made it clear that lucifer ruled a hierarchical kingdom
That's why 80% of the chaos types only talk about breaking shit and all of the gaeans that aren't some sort of japanese priest are instead something out of mad max
>In the first game also, yama was chaos, and yama is basically an angel of judgement.
that's because of the shitty way the early games define what counts as chaos (IE everything that is from east asia is chaos because they're written as the "good" side)
> Its effectively totally identical to chaos of other games. the only thing making it law is another "even more chaos" option. Its arguably stronger chaos than had even been in series up to that point.
none of this has anything to do with what I said because I never said it was law (although spoilers all the reasons are law because they all support the great will), just that it's the only reason that even sort've makes sense for angels to be helping.
>This also kind of handwaves that that's not how the angels act other than in II
You mean the last SMT game before nocturne? Yeah, what kind of idiot would assume that?
>But yosuga isn't even like the center. It makes it obvious that its a free for all where you get your position by fighting.
watch the scene again, weak or useless people would literally not exist and everyone would be more or less set into their station from the start. It's a hyper-caste system.
>Which is why chiaki fights you at the end even if you agree with her.
She fights you because otherwise she'd be a hypocrite. Just because in yosuga world things would be set from the start who's stronger than who that hasn't happened yet, so she has to see which of you is actually stronger and more worthy of actually kickstarting things.
> Every game since then introduces angels as acting nothing like that.
that's because those games go back to the more traditional law v chaos bullshit and specifically talk about YHVH to one degree or another. in nocturne it was a specific situation while later games go back to the more "this will effect more or less the universe" options for it's endings.
>And even in nocturne, the angels call kagutsuchi an arrogant god.
What does this have to do with anything?
>So at best the idea is that angels are just a race that can act in any number of ways, so this group was trying to do something different, and setting up this kind of order.
Or it's that they can't themselves make a reason so they're supporting the only obvious choice because the others are not even close to what they'd want, while yosuga has elements of stuff they like.
> And while it makes sense that shijima has demons working for it instead of angels, the ones chosen were clearly all pretty chaotic demons.
they were pretty lawful/emotionless demons like night/fallen angels instead of the "lets break stuff and murder" types that all went with the mantra. the fact that the goeitia demons are considered chaos even though they very specifically follow contracts and have set abilities they can grant their summoner is part of the reason why the law/chaos dichotomy falls apart
> And lets not even get into the lack of a clear idea of what kagutsuchi is, or how yhvh relates to any of this.
why does any of this matter?
Why are there Kagutsuchi phases n the Amala labyrinth?
> The entire game came off more like they just didn't think through the story more than it did accurately showing the bigger universe.
Or they didn't care about making a direct sequel to a game that came out 10 years earlier and thus didn't shove a billion references to it.
I appreciate you actually answering
>although spoilers all the reasons are law because they all support the great will)
I know that your post structure makes it obvious you're retarded, but you don't have to openly announce it. In IV mastema says God secretly wants neutral. If he's on some level telling a form of the truth, and neutral is a backup, that doesn't make it law. In II you're going against yhvh even on law. That doesn't make it chaos. Law is more than doing whatever as long as the great will allows it. Which is why nocturne also pointed out that the great will tried a more neutral world before.
> it's the only reason that even sort've makes sense for angels to be helping.
Except that shijima literally set the tone for how all future law endings would be, and it was already more or less there in II. Gabriel pointed out in II that the center was wrong, and went away from it. If yosuga is a continuation of the center, then its simply bad writing that gabriel now for some reason is in it. Especially since The way hikawa talks about "the world" would make this obviously law if he used the word god or great will instead.
Are you really using SMT4 to try and argue that smt3 has bad writing? What, were they fucking time travelers and knew that 8 years later they had this story idea in mind?
>.Especially since The way hikawa talks about "the world" would make this obviously law if he used the word god or great will instead.
law ending = praise godjesus, live according to my commands
in a world with absolutely no emotions at all this can't happen because you won't give a fuck about praising him and won't care to live according to his will
shijima and musubi are both neutral as hell "I don't care about anything" endings
>they were pretty lawful/emotionless demons like night/fallen angels instead of the "lets break stuff and murder" types that all went with the mantra. the fact that the goeitia demons are considered chaos even though they very specifically follow contracts and have set abilities they can grant their summoner is part of the reason why the law/chaos dichotomy falls apart
They had shit like incubuses working for them. Some of the less angry looking goetia demons and samael maybe, but the tone didn't have any obvious orderly basis. And working for a summoner for a contract is a stretch to call overly law.
>law ending = praise godjesus, live according to my commands
>in a world with absolutely no emotions at all this can't happen because you won't give a fuck about praising him and won't care to live according to his will
>shijima and musubi are both neutral as hell "I don't care about anything" endings
This might be the stupidest thing I've seen anyone write down in this general yet.
>there are people who thought that SMT x FE was dead
What now fuckers
Why is everything in Sector E resisting physical?
I don't think Nocturne is necessarily a black sheep in the series, far from it, but I imagine it's a bit of an odd subject around the office given how much of it was Cozy's baby and he immediately left afterwards.
More Daichi deja vu.
Yamato was in the same position, in the same pose as Bunny currently is in Daichi's flashback of Arcturus killing them
Also I just want to add that Ronaldo is actually kinda cool now. Keita hasn't pissed me off either and I'm finding myself agreeing with his commentary often.
>True Demon Ending was an abortion this whole time
>not enjoying both SMT and Persona games
I can see not enjoying Persona, but
>being this insecure about being associated with Persona
like it or not, Persona is part of SMT. Even if the japanese box doesn't have it on there, it is still inside and anyone who denies it is a retard. Just play it cool and don't make a fuss about even the slightest mention of Persona, it's not like you're going to get flooded by retards when they still have their own threads
any tips, I'm trying to draw like Kaneko, I fucking love his faces
the whole game was an abortion
Is that a joke? Any reasonable person can come to the conclusion that Persona 3 is the best game, it's the bandwagon hoppers that think SMTIV is the best because of 2D sprites and '2deep4me abstract story and world whoaaa 4/20 mannn'. Any retard can cheese through SMTIV, Persona 3 has the tightest design and balance of any SMT and demands you give it your all to scrape through it. The characters are the most fleshed out in the series and Yukari and Junpei are some of the most sympathetic characters in SMT. Alongside that you get entertaining characters like Toriumi, Elizabeth, Shinji etc. and you get a well-rounded cast that's the best of any SMT. The dungeons are amazing and the designs are on point, they all fit thematically with Persona 3's despair theme, the music is godlike and evokes a moody feeling, it's practically the perfect package, and at least the best SMT. The only other contender is SMTIV which is riddled with exploits and cut corners resold as DLC, which is really Jewish.
why isnt /smtg/ jamming out to best theme
So far she's basically Yamato if you take away his wit, eccentricity, and assertiveness.
Perhaps it's unfair to compare her to him but it's inevitable. Even the game does it a lot, and they do have some blaring similarities like being stoic hardasses.
She just doesn't have much going for her other than being mysterious anime girl #whatever and the attempts at giving her depth feel more like huge plot devices.
>So far she's basically Yamato if you take away his wit, eccentricity, and assertiveness.
so in other words she's yamato if you take away what makes him likeable in the first place. so she's got nothing going for her unless you're a waifufag who wants a neutered lesser yamato. that's just great.
