SMT x FE trailer is out
Is Arisu the only demon in SMT IV that's immune to all status ailments except for brand?
Maybe there will be some SMT beyond shallow references?
I had an edition going so that we weren't dead.
Then that trailer hit.
And bam, we ain't dead brother.
To those that were pissed off with the trailer when it was showed on the direct.
You guys feeling better?
>it's not SMT enough to discuss here
So what is SMT enough to discuss here? Because there's virtually no discussion going on. It's a crossover project, it's not like I'm trying to get people to talk about their sex lives.
Yeah, I'm even willing to calmly discuss it now. Apparently no one wants to acknowledge it though. Guess we're dead until BR then.
Good. I honestly really don't like it at all. But I really do think we should wait for more information. Feel bad for those that haven't recovered yet though.
Well, at least for the time being then.
Yeah, that trailer was a disaster. But closer examination is showing that there might actually be SMT elements beyond "muh destroyed Tokyo" and for that I'm more than willing to hold onto some hopes about the crossover aspect of the game.
>playing nocturne, first time trying for TDE
>eager to fight Beelzebub
>forget to equip a null dark magatama
>no matter, I've got tetraja rocks
>beat him after a lengthy battle
>go into his treasure room
>a Gurr kills me with Mamudoon
>last save was before I entered the fourth kalpa, and before I went through the second kalpa cursed corridor
Remember /smtg/, save often and don't forget to null death
I could have prevented this
Somewhat. I see it could be a good RPG, especially if it's going to be post-apocalyptic at some point. I just wish this hadn't been SMTxFE that became this.
I guess the girl is okay looking.
No, I'm agreeing with most everyone else in saying those ta-tas defy all known laws of physics.
Like even more so then where the fuck Naoto managed to strap down or suck away her D cups all that time.
So tetraja does prevent you from getting insta killed from Death Flies? Nice. And cheer up Anon, it'll all get better soon.
Incidentally, the boss of Kitayama University can rot in hell. And its paralysis attack.
When does this play?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGNO_OBTZjs It doesn't play in that dungeon.
It really is hard to see, but we're getting cameos like >>99329296 and we know that idols and such are probably important to the game so it might be more than just that. It might be very little, but there's still some hope.
People like you are really funny, tits aren't allowed to look upwards for ultimate beauty because they'd defy all known laws of physics and show that the artist can't into human bean anatomy but you ignore everything else like eyes, nose, hair and shit. Where's the justification for that?
Fuck off with your 3DPD Law.
>Hating on Doi
Let me guess, you think he's responsible for the new demon designs in IV.
It's hard to say but it looks quite like him. There's something up with his left hand (guantlet perhaps?), his neck is bluish (his scarf?), he's got similar hair, etc.
>Artist of SMTV
Wow, I haven't seen this guy in a while. Weren't you doing something with EPP?
That track plays after clearing the Kitayama Uni dungeon, does it not?
I also picked up a copy of Devil Summoner for the Saturn, but I have no battery/memory cart for it so I haven't dug into that version much.
>but you ignore everything else like eyes, nose hair
Not ignored but they aren't so blatantly out of place and contrary to basic illustration of humans.
E.g. Even if her ears give her the nickname of chimp or monkey, Isabeau's nips don't point directly to the sun.
>getting triggered the moment someone posts disgusting tumblr screencaps (without calling them out) because of shitty characters
>ignoring the fact that the anime didn't look bad at all
The problem is that he went out of his way to mention unrelated characters instead of just mentioning dick diamonding characters of, you know, games which are related and brought this discussion up in the first place.
Only place you can view the manga in America. Bato doesn't have YZQ due to it being licensed though the company has stopped translation of the manga over here.
>you know, SMT x FE isnt so bad if you think of it as something other than a mainline game.
It's not a mainline game though. It has no "SMT" in the Japanese title anymore, only "Ibunroku" (and it's not even "Megami Ibunroku").
And, considering how it's directed by Devil Survivor's director, I wonder why Atlus ever called it as such. I don't think it was ever intended to be a mainline title considering the staff.
>I don't think it was ever intended to be a mainline title considering the staff.
Considering it was a crossover I don't think so either. But yeah, I it's possible they fucked up in implying it was going to draw from mainline.
unfortunately /smtg/ is too retarded to comprehend that and hyped themselves until they got disappointed. and they still can't comprehend it.
although even if it was a direct crossover it would still be a huge trainwreck. even fucking digimon would make more sense than Fire Emblem.
Hm... "Genei" (Illusory) Ibunroku. "One of Millennium". And this.
Maybe the happy city with colorful silhouettes rather than people is all an illusion?
Then again, I'm so bad at this kind of thing it'll all turn out to be a coincidence.
LB3 had a baby dragon and a squirrel as party members.
Also after beating the game the same can be done with Lucifer, Belial, and Baal.
The villains are all human as well, with the main human villain turning into a crystal dragon.
Also, although not in ruins, there are also a few shots in the trailer of the city with the demon(?) summoning circle used to bring Centaur!Aversa spread around everywhere.
There's plenty of stuff that can only be noticed in one second.
A girl Gharnef
Tiki in Naga's Cradle
Some really unlucky dead guy attached to the top of an enemies head.
Tiki's an idol.
The characters names.
Fans watching the battles while holding glowsticks.
No, it's codeword for shitty underage slut that's extremely obnoxious with a high pitched voice that will permanently destroy your ears within one second of hearing her talk in a casual conversation.
No as in dubbed VA Hikaru was also Rise.
That, and the lacy underwear of the demon lord.
Raunchy as fuck stuff in that.
>we know that idols and such are probably important to the game
If this bullshit right here isn't enough of a reason to totally ignore this garbage game then I don't know what is.
the first demon you recruit, in the fifth kalpa there's a door you go in with her and she levels up to 80 and her stats all become 30.
she also gains a set of high level abilities like megidolaon
Does anyone actually like this faggot?
Is smtg still on suicide watch?
I don't think #FE looks THAT bad.
Then again, I don't think they've shown nearly enough of the game. Most of the trailer was spent on scenes.
What is it that they're so committed to hide about a game that's set to release by the end of the year?
Same goes for P5.
Building hype for Persona 5 I guess. I mean, we already know what it's going to be like. They're saving it for E3? I don't know... chill bro.
B-B-B-B-B-BUT MMMMMMMUH PALADINS M-M-M-MMM-M-M-M--MM-M-M-MOTORCYLCES AND AND AND PEGASUS WITH ROCKETS.
Not really actually. I feel pretty damn sick to my stomach right now.
I found the trailer disappointing too, but surely there's more to the game than just "modern-Tokyo FE". Surely Atlus know what they're doing.
Who knows, there's still a chance of some SMT characters appearing in the game
as secret bosses
Atlus seems to hold half of the copyright. If there's nothing from them here and they're just developers why do they partially own the game? You don't see Bandai Namco owning Smash Bros WiiU/3ds copyrights.
As much as I wanted it before, I doubt they would do anything significant. Why would they drop a reference to SMT from the title if they plan to keep parts of it in? Atlus would really need to pull a huge plot twist or make an important character/demon appearance to change my mind.
>Why would they drop a reference to SMT from the title if they plan to keep parts of it in?
"Gen'ei Ibunroku" seems like a clear allusion to "Megami Ibunroku" though. They've always given various titles to the spin offs.
Post your face when you'll never be a lawfag.
>there'll never be a fighting game featuring characters from mainline and Devil Summoner
Anyone want a song that was on the disc but wasn't used in Nocturne
to my knowledge. I only just got to the mall, so it could play and I just not be aware?
>Now the crazy fortune teller lady told me the sign of the moon means im going to get barely any exp, how long will this shit last?
If you save and reload before the fortune expires, you can keep it going forever. I've never done it though
, maybe it's a rumour
>even Codename STEAM is closer to my personal idea of SMT x FE than the stuff we got
I also wonder if all demons are going to consist of fusion accident FE villains.
I've also noticed that they use standard Megaten icons for elements.
Yeah but the "Lel SMT is so edgy and grimdark you fedora fags SMT sucks." Shitposting is starting to get to me, Maybe I'm just an insecure bitch but I felt like everything I've ever liked or had fun with people go out of their way to mock me for liking it ever since I was little.
Try not to feel too bad. Remember that the people saying this are mostly shitposters who are indifferent towards SMT. Besides, you've got us. We'll only make fun of you for having a shitty alignment.
If It turns out to be fun then I'll buy it at a price drop or something. I don't wanna spend too much money on something I might dislike but I'll wait and see. Still am kinda upset that mainline still gets no love
What's with Miyako shoving herself into Yamato's route? She's even the character picture that shows on the menu. He did all the hard thinking and came up with the idea, all she did was answer a few simple questions he asked her. I don't get it.
I don't really have an Allignment I just want to get the good ending I mean I have nothing against sad endings it just seems that I like happy or at least semisweet endings. I'm Fairly new to SMT, I love Nocturne and beat Soul Hackers, I've played a good bit of SJ, I played a little bit of DDS, Setting is really cool but the whole cannibal thing kinda made me put it down till I'm in a better state.
I stopped DDS when I got to the part in the first dungeon when you came across those two female soldiers who turned into female demons, I have a really hard time when it comes to killing pretty women or demons in games it always leaves me feeling bad, also the eating thing didn't help
Well seeing as Neutral has kinda it's own god That makes sense Honestly I'm just a huge softy and want to get the happiest ending possible if said happy ending was a Chaos ending I'd go for that.
She thinks that that is the best way? And she's the character picture because she's the 看板娘 of Brazil.
What's with Bunny shoving himself into Alchor's route? He's even in front of him in the playbunnies picture in the end. Alchor did all the hard thinking, NTRing and came up with the idea, all Bunny did was answer a few simple questions he asked him. I don't get it.
Consider the following: the people you're killing and eating in these videogames have never, and will never, exist. They are not real, they do not have feelings. They cannot feel.
You need to learn to distinguish between fantasy and reality, otherwise you're headed for a permanent holiday in a padded cell.
That wasn't my point at all. The "did all the thinking"-argument is flawed because Bunny isn't different but gets to be the most important character all the time. The reason for that is obvious. Same for Miyako.
Really sorry if I hurt your feelings but I thought everyone was "passive-agressive" on 4chan, I wasn't even angry, so please tell me what it is that is making me identifiable or did you really just guess because there aren't that much people here talking something about Break Record.
They didn't want her to become completely irrelevant.
It's a side effect of a poorly utilized character that's only in there as a form of Yamato fanservice, which is basically all the game is in the end.
It's still clearly his route even if she tries to take some of the spotlight. At least Yamato gets better treatment than Saiduq in regards to her. Saiduq revolves entirely around Miyako and she takes up a good chunk of lines that could have just as easily been explained by him and he gets turned into an idiot that causes trouble for everybody.
She should have just died after her battle like Saiduq does in every route but his own in Septentrione.
>Really sorry if I hurt your feelings but I thought everyone was "passive-agressive" on 4chan, I wasn't even angry, so please tell me what it is that is making me identifiable or did you really just guess because there aren't that much people here talking something about Break Record.
This post alone is enough to prove you really are him, even without the confirming from yourself
Please outline the difference or just define moody tumblr cunt passive agressiveness.
Pretty sure you just got triggered because I called your post (not even you) retarded which happens pretty frequently on 4chan by the way.
What? That was me confirming it, why else should I have wrote it like that?
So nothing at all. Next time you try to identify my posts I'll deny it.
Posting here frequently without anyone calling me out by the way, already got called different names.
The desire to identify people here is pretty astounding. Maybe it's the same in every general though, wouldn't know.
Also I wasn't being melodramatic at all, just called that guy retarded and then suddenly was the doujin-guy.
Please give examples.
Or just start calling me out every time when you think a specific post came from me, I'm curious how accurate you'll be.
Again, he started calling me out with just one post, I got curious and wanted to know what it was but I'm pretty sure now that it was just luck considering there aren't really that much anons posting who did play BR and I was posting years before that doujin without anyone identifying me.
it has nothing to do with you having played broken record or whatever the hell. it's the entirety of the way you post and how you draw attention to yourself as the other anon put it. you're really dramatic.
So I suddenly turned dramatic after that doujin? You still couldn't come up with examples except that feeling of melodrama you get while reading them even though I'm pretty sure there wasn't anything melodramatic at all with my (58) post considering that it's two sentences with the rest being copy and paste. He probably jumped on the Alchor NTR thinking it's impossible that another guy could've posted that.
Also are you ignoring everything else? Like I said, I'm posting here a long time, have been called different things but nobody did manage to identify my posts except just now.
Let's do this faggot >>99407201 a favor and let's leave it at that. I'll keep posting like always, pretty sure you won't identify me anymore except that stupid falseflagging that happens a lot even with beadman although his posts are obvious as fuck. Even I got called beadman once despite the fact that I'm a melodramatic bitch.
...the more confused I get as to how it could have possibly worked. How exactly do you go about making a traditional crossover between a series that makes new characters for every installment, and another series that makes new characters for every installment, nearly all of which are silent protagonists with no personality whatsoever. It'd be like a Fire Emblem game where nobody knows each other and half the team is effectively zombies. I'm just trying to imagine all the one sided conversations.
Chrom: "The enemy has taken cover in the back of the fortress. We can either storm the front gates, or try to sneak around the back. What are your thoughts... umm... strange demonic looking young man?
Marth: "If I may, umm, Chrom was it? Perhaps if we split into two forces. The frontal assault team could then act as a decoy for the infiltration team. Uh, young school uniform boy, would you like to head one of the teams?"
SMT Protagonist: "..."
Roy: "Oh by the gods, they won't even tell us their names, I really don't think they're going to contribute to your strategy meetings! I'm not even sure they speak our language. Here, check this out. Hey! Idiot who's actually dressed somewhat normally! You stink! You're stupid and I don't like you! I'd make some joke about doin yur mom, but considering how ugly you are, I don't really want to take the risk!"
I want to destroy
Will you be able to heal me from loneliness, from pain
And all things I had cherished
(Reincarnation, Realization, Reincarnation)
I want to disappear
Sounds of a city that never sleeps, the melancholy of these fake smiles
These real motive hiding, someday, somewhere as we had never seen them
Even if nobody speak about things as insecurity, we know about it
I want to destroy
These courageous acts I had cherished
But then, I won’t be able to be honest
Even if I’m lost or in trouble, if you ever ask me,
At least, I’ll destroy this pain and this loneliness
(Reincarnation, Realization, Reincarnation)
I want to reincarnate
Lyrics to #FE trailer... interesting. Reincarnation seems like a big deal in the plot.
Is anyone else bothered by the artist they used for the demon art in SMT IV? I can't put my finger on it, but it looks extremely out of place. I think even Strange Journey had a different artist.
I'm not asking for KK-tier art, but some of these look like a 80s comic villains (Medusa's art comes to mind).
Fire Emblem characters with demon partners/guardians. Like SMT If.../Devil Children
Split them down into groups of Law/Neutral/Chaos and have them all kill each other for muh alignment.
Special routes with a specific group of characters from both games, with time travel based endings and demon permadeath like in Majin Tensei II.
Oh yeah, Minotaur's art was fucking godlike. I spent like 2-3 minutes just staring at the art and finding more interesting things.
A large number of demon art used in SMT IV feels very off to me though.
Also, I quoted a random reply by mistake in the previous post.
She does get a little eye-roll inducing sometimes because it's clear they didn't know what to do with her while still having the story make sense, and they've admitted such themselves. It begins to feel very clear that she's only in the game because they felt pressured to include Yamato's twin, so she's only in there because of his popularity, riding off his coat tails. They had to go as far as retcon Yamato having a sister and go for a huge asspull to have her be relevant.
Her stats are worse than Yamato's, she's closer to Io.
She was originally planned for the original game, but they cut her out and then mentioned her in the artbook instead.
Only to later go and make an overcomplicated reason for why she exists in Triangulum.
Chrom just beat some dragon with a huge ego who can't even create life, only bring forth undeath.
Ike actually beat half a God that created the life that evolved into Zunanma and then into Humans and Laguz.
They cut her out because including her would've been shoehorning her in and she really had no place. Them making an overcomplicated reason is because she still had no place in the game.
But then they wouldn't have a
surprise fourth member of the Triangulum even though it's actually the Great Diamond.
Otherwise they might have done something crazy like had Regulus appear and possess Daichi being the heart of the Lion afterall.
You know they were going to introduce a new character no matter what.
Might as well be an alien experiencing being a human through Daichi's body
and proceeds to double the clockblocking that keepts happening to Yamato.
An 8th Day doesn't really work for the routes. Though at least they did at least once plan on having Break Record happen after Daichi+ in the original game. Only to be denied because not everyone played that route.
tldr; She's what became of Yamato's corrupt data when the world was reset when he wasn't on Earth. She's literally genderbent Yamato.
He's popular enough that Miyako was already popular before anything was known about her. They didn't even have to try to make her a good character, the fact that she's related in one way or another to Yamato was enough for people to start circlejerking about her, and Atlus very well knows it.
When I think about it, it felt like you can use him in your party for longer in BR than Septentrione, but I dunno if that's actually the case, I didn't actively compare. He's playable when you get him back half way in and stays that way and he's required to use for two major battles.
Alcor you see a few times before you get him back but he's absent for the most part until mid last day and that's when he's playable.
Miyako also isn't playable until last day. She becomes playable the same time Alcor does. I can't give you any specific tips on how to use her. Yamato's saving grace is his exploitable innate resistances (phys + almighty) that with a single skill you can easily turn him into an indestructible tank, and Miyako lacks his phys resistance so you have to waste more on her and it's not worth it with her shit stats. Both her Str. and Mag. are slightly lower than his and put into Agi but not enough to make any difference. She's just Io 2.0.
Yes you can use all 3 in your party at once when they've all joined mid last day.
BR can barely juggle 15 characters. The Septentroine arc would've become an even bigger clusterfuck than it already was. I think dropping her was the right choice.
Best theme, funniest protag
No this is
Everything. The game itself does a lot of comparing Miyako and Yamato. I'll just parrot what it says that I can remember.
Yamato goes by cold logic to the point of completely abandoning the weak so the strong can do their jobs to the best of their ability, while Miyako is more soft-hearted on those issues and thinks all life holds equal value. Fumi noted how well Yamato's merit values works with JP's, how he selected people's positions based on their strengths, kept lots of competent people busy and getting shit done, and also rewarded and gave his top performing subordinates some degree of authority. Miyako does the opposite because she doesn't trust anybody else's input or judgement which leads to her doing everything herself, as well as stubbornly continuing with failed methods.
As for their personalities, while Yamato was always very cooperative and listened even if he thought someone was retarded, Miyako is extremely uncooperative and unbending even if she likes the person. There's points were you've got crappy JP's members trying to take care of the Triangulum by themselves but get massacred and the thing goes on to wreck havoc, so Makoto has to call you up and give you orders to stop the bloodbath, only for Miyako to show up at the end and get mad and refuse to admit that she needs your help.
>while Miyako is more soft-hearted on those issues and thinks all life holds equal value
Did you miss the whole sacrificing a few people to save more? Almost every character was disgusted by her weighing human life against each other. She goes by cold logic too
until she finds out about her human heart doki doki..
I didn't mean to say anything against that, I agree, she does that exactly because she thinks all humans are equal. I replied because of
>Yamato goes by cold logic
>while Miyako is more soft-hearted
She's not exactly more soft-hearted in my eyes just because she values all human life equally.
Does anyone else think the room in this shot looks a lot like terminals do in IV?
Admitting that humans aren't equal is about as cold and logical as it gets, you can only do that if you completely remove yourself from your emotions. Sacrificing competent people over the incompetent because you think they're all equal isn't very logical.
Her way was obviously not presented positively.
They make her ending even The Bad Ending. Even though her way would've been the safest one if they didn't make Al Saiduq's which is pretty much the same but a lot better.
Who's a better person depends on opinions, because it's not like Yamato is kicking kittens or anything and he just needs some time at a shrink. By the end of BR Yamato is also a very good person thanks to Bunny being that shrink so it's even more blurred at that point.
So, how long is the typical first run of DeSu?
I'm at Wendigo trying to crack Ice Dance and I'm wondering if I should just save the immediate MAGIC 2STRONK for my second run, as I'm not even sure if I can crack it this early in the game.
I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming the project will get some SMT influence later in development (maybe as the left turn in the plot. This IS DeSu's director we're talking about)
Writers are like bottom of the fucking totem pole in hollywood at least. If the director wants a complete script rewrite he gets one, whether it's from the first screenplay writer or from someone else who gets called in to ghostwrite and change literally everything.
So, all possible SMT references in that trailer compiled into a single shot. "Reincarnation" is also likely the trailer's theme itself.
>and another series that makes new characters for every installment, nearly all of which are silent protagonists with no personality whatsoever. It'd be like a Fire Emblem game where nobody knows each other and half the team is effectively zombies.
That's actually what I was looking forward the most. Atlus giving canon personalities to SMT's crew. Obviously not happening now though even if those SMT references end up going somewhere.
You can actually get an idea of protag personalities from their responses in negotiations too. Like aside from being quiet I always thought Flynn was a bit of a pushover personality-wise.
I already know about dances and how OP World of Magic is in DeSu. I'm trying to crack Ice Dance on Wendigo (though I keep dying), but the thing that scares me is that it's greyed out.
how the fuck do I beat Wendigo?
Even if I get him down to half health, he starts running off, and since I'm trying to get the skill cracked, I'm trying to chase him down as I'm getting killed by the other teams
Well it makes Canopus look extremely incompetent. If his data was corrupt and unreadable to the point of Miyako being a sassy black woman I could understand, but it got everything else right but the gender. That's way too convenient, unless the reason really is because he's a homosexual but I'm not sure if Atlus would go that far.
So taking into account that I've cleared the first two kalpas, and I'm now at the monument after just catching a glimpse of the 3 sisters in Nocturne.
How far in am I?
Guys, what's the difference between INT and MAG on the original SMT?
By the way, that's my heroine build, am I doing right? Going to Tokyo Destiny Land right now.
He must have been so embarrassed when that was revealed. Could you imagine how awkward that'd be?
Everyone in the room became fully aware that he's a cock craving slut.
I wouldn't put it past them as that being the intention.
They would never have the balls to come out and say it, but I still wouldn't put it past them.
Should I preorder Record Breaker? I used to buy most of my games digitally, because I lived overseas, but I'm back in my home country.
I mean, I'm going to be paying 50$ anyways for digital, but for the same price, I could get physical plus a CD with it.
FUCK FUCK FUCK PURGATORIUM
Playing through IV for my first time
>no demons want to join you because >muh god
>instant kill spammers
>if the hama and medigo spammers don't kill you the electric/fire heavy attack spammers will
>confusing as fuck with random warps and you can't see the floor in front or behind you
>have no bars or stores for miles
>If you fuckup and get into battle when the enemy goes first theres a good chance you just lost half if not all of your team
I'm level 76 but this shit is ridiculous
Please tell me this is either the last or second last dungeon
Thanks. I don't know why I was considering getting the option with less crap, actually.
Plus, If I'm going to wait a month for the game, waiting a day or two for shipping won't kill me.
sounds like you wouldn't survive in a wurld of str son of man
Oh, I'm not investing any point on INT on my protagonist and investing on MAG because I thought I would drop more MAG from enemies, so I'm fucked, right?
Typically you don't need that much int. I think it's like 10-12 for Int based negotiations in soul hackers. If the negotiations are what you're after I doubt you'll need to invest that much.
Guys, we should have known that SmtXFE would have more influence from Persona and Awakening than anything. The signs were all there.
wait a second
>Shots of a destroyed city
>Everyone is Dancing Furiously is a recurring theme
nah, it couldn't be...
You're treating the kingdom of heaven to be hard when it fact it's a
angel cakewalk, but you're somewhat redeemed for defying and trying to smack YHVH.
How can this son of man be chaos when they haven't devoured the fruit of knowledge?
Could it be all foul followers of the fallen are really all uncultured swines.
Get outta here metadrone, you've nothing to speak about when you are a thoughtless slave of his yourself.
still clubs and concerts seem to be a big theme, which was the main catharsis for the people of Tokyo Millenium. What if everyone in #FE is in Arcadia or something, and they're slowly waking up?
>that jack frost
Holy fucking shit maybe there will be SMT characters in after all, but it doest help the game still looks very, happy, the tone is very off putting. It does look more like ConceptionxNeptuina then two rather dark (FE less so) series fusing up.
The director is the same director from the DeSu series right? I havent played DeSu2 but this game still looks more weeb then the DeSu games and even P4 for that. And does that mean we wont be getting DeSu3 for a while? Fuck I loved DeSu1 OC
Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get a new SMT game by 2020.
at least we have that next month to enjoy!
Looking to replay SMT4. Is a New Game+ run on hard even worth it for a challenge? Or should I just start from scratch again.
>influence from Persona
are you fucking retarded, the game is Devil Survivor x Fire Emblem, as it should be because they are closest in terms of gameplay. It is the Devil Survivor team working on this one, not the Persona team.
That said, Devil Survivor was definitely influenced by Persona, at least DS2. I can see why you'd be mistaken but
>muh atlus killing mainline SMT
Come on, since P4 got Strange Journey and SMT4.
The girl in green might be based off a Laguz, but I'm only sayong that since her costume has feathers and her hair might represent wings
I was a joke regarding Aigis's lack of feet and the characters in Fire Emblem Awakening also having no feet on their models. I'm not one of the people crying about SMTxFE (I'm actually kind of excited to hear more about it) but I saw an opportunity.
put this toward your purchase
>tired of doom and gloom
It's the only guaranteed thing though anon
She uses an ice attack type spell, while in FE ice is always just part of wind magic, rather than something on its own. She also doesn't resemble any FE archetype compared to the other 3 main cast members.
She's the singer of "Reincarnation" and might be the silhouette in the "one of millennium" poster too. So, ice magic and those references could indicate some SMT connection. However, design-wise, I can't really see anything SMT-like about her either.
>That game is not an SRPG and only has one guy from DeSu working on it, not the whole team, dingus.
One confirmed guy, but he's the director, so it's very likely the development team is there, you don't randomly break apart and move people around like that. I agree that the game doesn't look like DS though.
Not entirely, but not as bad as before. I have a small bit of hope since I found DeSu and DeSu2 2
If some of the speculations are true, in a sense it could be something similar to DDS, which was also
