i always want to participate in these threads but can never remember kanto/johto/hoenn as it's been so long since i've played those games. will give it a try though. will report back and r8 as well
I had this same problem so went back and played Fire Red, Heart Gold, and Emerald all over again. I'd forgotten how much fun they were to be honest -- particularly Fire Red and Emerald. I wonder if there's a way to get my teams from them over to X/Y, though.
A-Are they good? I thought they were just rehashes of B/W which sucked major ass
ok here we go, as i said in >>20033079 kanto to hoenn are inaccurate because i haven't played them in years, i just tried to think of mons i remember using.
i realized we have pretty much the exact same b/w team which is hilarious. similar in x/y as well, plus you have my favorite gen 4 + 6 mons (electivire & hawlucha) on your team. awesome taste.
liking the varied selection in each gen, some cool/underrated mons as well.
y'all niggas gotta step it up do you even autism
probably one of the best games in the series. huge pokedex, region's more interesting with new stuff added, sheer amount of things to do aside from battling [join avenue, pokestar studios, tournaments, black tower/white treehollow, curtis/yancy sidequests, even musicals if you're into that], as well as highly-streamlined dex completion tools; story's also pretty decent, and it's pretty cool to see what's happened to unova since bw and the turmoil within team plasma, how the region reacted to their presence, what's up with all of the old characters, etc.
I've made these image for occasions like this one
>tfw you're too lazy to white out the backgrounds
in black 2 i decided to have a little fun and become a cheating faggot, also happened in platinum
My kanto team is from when I was a kid, and then I have yet to finish BW2
Never played the first 2 gens, admittedly. Got into Pokemon at a late age, the games at least.
I fucking hate trying to recall.
I can't remember anything for Blue outside of Blastoise and Pidgeot. Can't recall anything but Typhlosion for Silver, nor Blaziken and Rayquaza for Ruby.
I think the furthest I can recall is my Diamond team, and even then it's only four of them
I barely remember as well and these teams are just the ones I probably used the most. I reset my Red/Blue/Gold versions a million times
God, the 6th gen models from Serebii look like shit scaled down. Sorry for being retarded, but where is everyone getting the 6th sprites from?
It was really fun to remember all the original teams I've used throughout the years
The background on that seismitoad wasn't working with me, so I just kept it, the same thing goes for those last three pokemon in gen 3.
>6th gen didn't introduce any decent grass types
Man, making this was a huge nostalgia trip for me. And I hate to say it, but I loved using some of the more popular ones
before they were cool >inb4 hipster
I can't into this because Mobile. So I'll post them instead, see if I can remember...
>Gen I: Dragonite, Golem, Aerodactyl, Starmie, Venusaur and Arbok.
>Gen II: Didn't play. Skipped it for some reason.
>Gen III: Absol, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Tentacruel, Altaria and Heracross.
>Gen IV: Empoleon, Togekiss, Garchomp, Houndoom, Lucario and Luxray.
>Gen V.1: Excadrill, Zoroark, Scrafty, Galvantula, Chandelure and Hydreigon.
>Gen V.2: Lucario, Crobat, Arcanine, Espeon, Heracross and Drapion.
>Gen VI: Delphox, Pidgeot, Simisage, Blastoise, Pangoro and Tyrantrum.
Once again I'm the only one not training full teams (except in Kalos because Exp. Share).
Looking back on it my teams have always have the same five types (excluding B/W due to extreme rush)
i was going to do one including every team from every run i had, but i was lazy so here's the last team i used in each game while beating the E4/Steven/Red.
Got lazy. Unova 2 team is identical to the first one.
I only use my starter, the other spots are for HM slaves and one or two fillers if my starter needs a revive or something
It was like:
Hey! My template returns! Here's mine again.
I'm far too lazy to make a new one with the template. Maybe one day.
Unrelated to anything, but I'm currently playing through Gen 6 again and have just got to Route 5. My team so far is simply a level 21 Frogadier (nothing else has caught my fancy), but he's just stomping through everything because the opponents have level 12 and such pokemon. Did I overlevel or something? How can I fix this?
That's where I got these if anyone wants to use them. All that's missing is a decent female Pyroar and a few Furfrou styles.
I had literally the exact same issue in my playthrough, since the first thing I caught besides Froakie was Helioptile on the route south of Ambrette. Once you catch something your levels will start to even out a bit.
haven't made one yet but here's my favourite from each gen
Do you mean Gen VI? If so, I personally don't agree, because my Helioptile and Frogadier were around the same level after 20-30 minutes of grinding. If not, then...thanks for the support, I guess?
No, I mean Gen V. If you go with a single pokemon, you'll have to grind really hard in those games, but in every other one by the third gym you'll easily be ~15 levels above everyone else if you try to solo them.
I really can't remember much from Kanto and Johto, Hoenn is slightly a blur, Sinnoh and onward was pretty easy
>that Kalos team
Almost great taste m8.
Greninja and Chesnaight are both equally neat, IMO but I'm a grassfag all the way
with Kanto and Hoenn(normal) actually being fusions of several bad teams I had, being like 9 or whatever, into semi-viable teams.
I miss my Johto team so fucking much, it is still my favorite Gen, mostly because I can remember my fucking broteam
RIP guys, I just hope your internal battery hasn't completely run out by now
As if I actually bothered training anything other than my starter in the first two gens
didn't have gba, played ruby with only blaziken and played plat for a few hours on emulators, didn't enjoy both... so i'm missing hoenn and sinnoh
This seems kind of bad now that I'm looking at it.
I just hate Delphox's design, but to be fair it's a male Braixen.
'Literal Autism' is a Treecko, Groudon and Heatran I traded from Diamond which I caught in Masterballs after using an AR code to make them appear in the wild. Not quite sure what I was thinking there.
I can't remember what teams I used for the previous gens tbh. Glaceon, Milotic, and Aggron were core though.
Obviously this isn't a competitive team...

decided to put a little more effort into it, red text under is my favorite pokemon from the team, green is the runner up.
