Why do the villains have more of a backstory than the main character?
because they want you to sympathize with Jessie and James and understand they are truly not evil well at least James just does it because he doesn't want to get married and prefers the rogue life. you are suppose to already like Ash because muh protag.
Ash said he hardly remembered her when his mom shows him the picture
The movies are almost never mentioned in the main series. Makes as much sense as Ash knowing Serena way before they meet.
Jessie's a qt
She can steal my Pokémonbecause
she's already stolen my heart.
We got a flashback of Ash and Gary growing up together. That counts, right?
He met Ritchie in one of those spin off episodes during early Hoenn/late Johto. He had a Salamence and Chikorita and was looking to find Moltres, who he had seen as a young child,
I know that we found the book in the past that was written by one of the original writers for the anime that said that Ash's father was a failed pokemon trainer which brought disgrace on his familycausing him to never return home
Everyone but Ash ages.
