ITT: We create moves that would make some pokemon broken.
Gengar gets a move that's the special version of sucker punch.
roost on mega pinsir wouldn't be broken, he's already frail, and wasting a turn to roost up is dangerous if your opponent has a electric/fire type attack coming your way, unless you predict a switch perfectly or something
To be honest, it almost seems fair - physical attackers are vulnerable to both burn and intimidate, but the same risks aren't there for special attackers.
Besides, it makes sense flavour-wise too; I imagine being poisoned makes it pretty hard to concentrate/do whatever it is that gives special attacks oomph.
If you're going to do that at least make a physical chansey so phsyical attackers can truly know what its like to be flat out walled.
Also drop half the distro on swords dance and dragon dance, get used to relying on bulk up (calm mind).
Physical attackers need a nerf. Not the other way around.
Actually that's a very good point, I hadn't considered the ridonkulous distribution of toxic.
Also, how do you recommend physical attackers have more checks placed upon them?
>Homofuck is fully paralyzed!
>Spinda come back!
I like the thought behind putting a punishment behind it, just use it when you're guaranteed not to be killed(when they setup), but reward would usually outweigh risk, it'd be more balanced if it killed self on use.
Uses the current HP as the stat in place of special attack for damage calculation. The user must recharge the next turn.
Learned only be Shedinja.
>Basically starts with 233 Attack (level 50)
>Speed Boost grants what is effectively an attack boost at the end of every turn
>Virtually only going to be outsped by priority
>Give it a choice scarf and you get what is effectively both a Choice Scarf and Choice Band
Sorry, I meant to specify that Steel special Attacks/Attackers will have more of a reason to be used.
Honestly though even with all the defense coming from those tired of the physical attacker dominance special attackers have quite the many coverage options with rarely, if any, drawbacks in use beyond some frailty.
Mega Slowbro will bring the boosting bulky special attacker to the center stage imo.
