TEAM OZONE CONFIRMED FOR POKEMON ZETA EMERALD, HOLY FUCK. The hype is unreal right now. God dammit, devon corporation is probably behind all this shit.Quick someone come up with theories why they are the true antagonists of these games.
woah, this team actualyl seems plausible. They could be against global warming and shit. Holy fuck. They might want to steal/capture Rayquaza to aid their goal. Mind Blown.
I CAN FEEL IT
DELTA EMERALD CONFIRMED
>YEARS AFTER ORAS
>GROWN UP ELITE FOUR FLANNERY
MOTHERFUCKING BATTLE FRONTIER
Reposting from the other thread.
>Hmm... Then I suppose I should begin. Let me first take us back 3,000 years, to the days when this story began...
>There was a great war at that time, in a region far from here. That war was finally brought to an end by a weapon created by one man. And what energy source could power such a dreadful weapon? Do you know? You see... It ran on the life energy of Pokémon.
>The energy that could be gained by the sacrifice of so many Pokémon... There are surely many people who would call it reprehensible. But my grandfather, the president of Devon before me, said this... “Couldn’t we use the energy to improve the lives of people and Pokémon?” And so he developed our greatest creation here at the Devon Corporation: Infinity Energy.
>Thanks to Infinity Energy, Devon was able to become one of the top industries in Hoenn and developed into the giant you see today. You may be surprised to learn that the Devon Parts you once recovered for us were in fact parts of a motor that would make it possible to power a submarine using Infinity Energy.
Team E is revived in the next game Steven's great-grandpa is secretly the leader even though he should be dead He kept himself alive with Infinity Energy just like AZ and Eternal Floette
I think the name is going to be Delta Emerald Z or Zeta Emerald. I feel Gamefreak is gonna make a combination game for kalos/hoenn to be completely unexpected just like they did with black/white 2. No battle froniter but hinting at in the future and episode Delta with Delta Emerald trademarked just hints too much at the third game in a generation being remade for the first time. With the fact that this gen has only one more placeholder for a game after ORAS (last i checked this is true from datamining X/Y), I think the combination game is most plausible.
You want real lore with pics?
The guy who is merged with the rainbow dudes at Mauville Hills is suggested to have worked on Sea Mauville.
Actually, I don't think you have to use Pokemon. Infinity Energy is harnessed for primal reversion. The Blue Orb and Red Orbs both harness Infinity Energy for the sake of Primal Reversion.
so what can we infer from that? Well, the Devon Corporation has a keen interest in stones, right? They must have found a way to harness infinity energy using minerals instead of Pokemon.
In fact, perhaps its infinity energy that grants evolution stones their power.
what does Zephyr mean though? How does it represent the teams goals and how does it relate to Rayquaza? If it's just a word that starts with the letter Z the name could just be Team Zebra but that wouldn't make sense lol.
>what does Zephyr mean though?
>If it's just a word that starts with the letter Z the name could just be Team Zebra but that wouldn't make sense
Jesus Christ you are retarded. Google that shit if you don't know, it takes less than 5 seconds.
>mega stones are the crystallized Infinity Energy of dead pokemon
>blazikenite is a dead blaziken
>mfw mega blaziken is two blaziken fused together
no, Mega Evolution is something different. Mega Stones are imbued with the power of the ultimate weapon, but they need to respond to the human and pokemon's bond before they trigger.
Mind you, there's some connection between them and infinite energy by way of the Ultimate Weapon, but it's not something that can be channeled independently like Primal Reversion and, theoretically, the power of stones.
Perhaps Mega Evolution calls on the infinite energy in both human and Pokemon in its process
you guys are the ones that are retarded, Zephyr means "a light breeze", what the fuck does that have to do with Rayquaza? Rayquaza lives in the Ozone layer you autists. Just because Ozone doesn't start with Z doesn't mean it isn't an apt name for the third team.
iOS has the shittiest photo format ever, sorry about that.
Dock or the previous president of Devon (grandfather of Steven) might be evil. That Dock person, acting so innocent and scatterbrain in Slateport when he's a part of an unknown evil organization in Hoenn.
> Yfw Team Magma and Aqua's ulterior motive is very noble
> Yfw it is mentioned Archie and Maxie used to be on the same team but we didn't know if it's the same team mentioned at the shipyard
In Sea Mauville, inside the room with the two girls doing some "training", you find this:
>There's an old note at the back of the cabinet with broken glass. "Finally, the date of closing has been decided. I can't say thank you enough to Stern, who invited us to his shipyard when we would have been left adrift. Dock, who's done a dirty job, and I can both start with a clean state. The only way we can repay him is to support his busines with our skills".
By the way, I love Sea Muville's theme.
>Yfw the next duo is Z and Delta Emerald
more like Combo. Gamefreak really is going for the gold if they make this Delta Emerald Z game. It truly would be a game of legendary proportions.
I have a theory that makes an Emerald Remake more plausible,
GF took out BF, the trainer customization, didn't add some wanted megas, and basically made ORAS soo mediocre just so that people would be dissapointed, but when they here that an Emerald remake will be out, that has BF, Trainer cus, more megas, and a fresh story, I mean just think, how many people would get it ??
So basically its the same old third version jewing they have been doing for years.
I guess now we know that DPPt remakes will be safe to skip if they come in the middle of a generation.
>DEEPEST LORE in gen 6 is off the fucking charts
I'll tell you man, if this all culminates in some great fucking event in Z or Delta Emerald or whatever, I'll be so fucking happy. It feels like both games are building up to something big, and I can't wait to see what they do with it. Gen 6 could end up being best gen if they play their cards right.
that's what shitposters from /v/ said
No BF sucks, but games should be viewed based on not what they lack, but what content is made available. And in that case, ORAS are easily some of the best games in the franchise.
Or, y'know, the ship could just be a regular ship. No need for all this edgy bullshit that appeals to no one.
If the next game is actually a Hoenn/Kalos Emerald/ Z combo and they add everything to it BF more megas ...., and they don't fuck it up like ORAS or X / Y, imho it will break every record for best selling game in history.
>Strongest Mega Evolution Act III already confirmed for Spring 2015
I'm guessing that's roughly when we find out about the next games.
What happens if we're all completely wrong and all the pieces will come together not in Hoenn or Kalos but in the Strange Souvenir region?
>mfw they made A-team shit out OR/AS to setup the lore, while B-team was working on the real version for 3 years (since B2/W2)
Rayquaza has the Delta symbol and it fits better than cramming Emerald in the title since the focus would still probably start in Kalos and then go to Hoenn. Emerald would imply the focus goes to Hoenn first and foremost
Nope. A-team worked on OR/AS son.
Right after X/Y.
I think you mean B Team shat out ORAS to set up the lore while A Team was working on the real product for 3 whole years without anyone knowing.
>Aqua and Magma don't disband after the main story, and have turned good
>mention of Archie and Maxie being on an unnamed team in the past
>all these ties to Kalos' lore
>mention of a group that used to be up to shady shit
>hints to BF, Wallace being champion, and other stuff that was in Emerald
Come on, this has to be leading up to something big. I know Gamefreak can be stupid as hell sometimes (or a lot) but there's just no way this stuff wasn't intentional on their part. They wouldn't just put in all these interesting. seemingly related pieces of info for no reason.
But Demon's Souls was setting the lore for Bloodborne.
>No BF sucks, but games should be viewed based on not what they lack, but what content is made available
It that case shouldn't be even more pathetic that ORAS is outclassed by a ten year old GBA game?
You go to Prof. Cozmo's house after the Delta Episode and he gives you Galladetite.
He also confirms having a friend in Kalos that knows about Mega Evolution and that he must tell him about the shit that went down in Hoenn right away.
Is that friend Sycamore or Lysandre?
holy fuck...i just realized that the person who lives in Mauville says the same fucking thing...Damn dude. That's dark.
Hey can Wally's still be Shiny in this game?
My friend claims it happened to him but he wasn't able to take a picture because the text autoscrolled.
I really don't believe him, but I dunno.
Everyone is ignoring that this badass ship builder is a former evil team leader of team E(merald).
I'll tell you how GF plays their cards.
They keep drawing cards until they have 5, their options start to increase and a good game plan starts to form, but instead of drawing more cards to make it all work they throw their entire hand up the air and start drawing again.
Whatever it is you think they are building up to, they will forget in a year as they always do.
It sounds like New Mauville was set up to harvest electrical energy from the native Electric-type Pokemon. Wattson was against this and got kicked out for not wanting to exploit the Pokemon.
Luckily, he makes up a fake excuse about a faulty generator to convince us to shut the facility down later in the game...
>Because capitalist scum
no imbecile .Capitalism is the reason why we even have Pokemon. You ledditor socialist/communist trash can only create a society where nearly everyone has to struggle for basic sustenance.
Which is why there's been very small but significant hints towards the parallel universe aspect of the new deepest lore in X/Y, and in the Bank as well.
I know how it usually goes, but it looks like there was some actual build up to this shit this time.
>Archie and Maxie were on Team E
>Team E was the team mentioned in Hoopa's backstory
>Hoopa's ghost form is the result of some of its energy siphoned from the Prison Bottle, otherwise it would be totally trapped
>It escaped and disbanded the team by sending them to the desert
Honestly it seems to me like XY and ORAS were being worked on at the same time.
It would explain why some QOL changes from XY aren't in ORAS (like multiple shortcuts for items, for example) and vice versa (organize pokemon being the first choice).
>Pokémon Infinity will be the next and last Pokémon game.
>The box Legendary is gonna be Primal Zygarde.
>It symbolizes the snake from Norse mythology that bites its own tail and then ends the world.
Eh, some of us played that game already.
Does this somehow tie into that NPC in Sundial Town (can'trememberthename) in Kalos that says that some organization was running around that place a few years back?
The Sundial apparently has some connection to the Mega evolution, and if we are to believe that Ultimate Weapon did create Mega Stones and Deoxys and that that's where the origins for Infinity Energy come from, and also that Team E and this team here is Devon Corp., was that them looking into expanding and further developing the technology?
They might have also been looking for the Ultimate Weapon trying to reverse engineer Infinity Energy to its earliest and purest form and simply mistook the Sundial for it.
I really hope GameFreak doesn't drop the ball on this like they did on Original Dragon.
I mean, sure, we're getting it, but I might just as well be dead when Gen 5 remakes.
Did AZ have anything to do with Deoxys? Come to think of it, did Delta give ANY explanation for Deoxys? Or why it seemingly landed on the planet in the other time line without too much issue?
I think it's a Skitty doll, the one mentioned in the letters that Professor Cozmo wrote to his father (who worked in Sea Mauville) as a kid. In the same you you find the letters, theres a document that says his name is "Ra---- Cozmo".
Professor Cozmo's name is Taiko. Perhaps he named the doll affectionately after his son? The letters do mention some shit happened with the family, but we do not know about what happened with the father.
Delta episode heavily implies that 3000 years ago, when AZ fired the Ultimate Weapon, the laser beam hit a space virus which then mutated into Deoxys.
The dex entries too.
Also, Sea Mauwile is where you find Spiritomb, a Pokémon which is a combination of a fuckton of dead spirits.
Did people die on it because of Team E?
Based man is based! No wonder the League (who I assume the Big Good in the whole Pokemon franchise and as a collective) recognizes him and honours him with the title, Gym Leader.
mfw Professor Cozmo's mom was cheating while his dad worked away in the lab.
It's subtly hinted at but I don't want to think GF would imply something like that.
>Also, Sea Mauwile is where you find Spiritomb, a Pokémon which is a combination of a fuckton of dead spirits.
Did people die on it because of Team E?
>Dock, who's done a dirty job
>Dock Team E Leader
The plot thickens!!
So my memory is fuzzy since it's been awhile but who exactly built the battle tower/frontier again? Because if it was the Devon corp then we've got the deepest lore.
Because this would mean in the original R/S/E the Devon corp wasn't harvesting pokemon energy using Team E(who didn't exist) because the mega stones didn't exist, and in turn things played out normally including battle tower/frontier being built. Then in this spin off universe the Devon corp formed Team E because the mega stones existed, and in turn delayed the battle tower frontier being built?
Maybe there's a THIRD possibility where Devon actually went through with the link cable plan and sent Deoxys into another dimension using the rocket, so it's the same Deoxys, but one from the possibility where Zinnia failed and the one where she succeeded.
Come to think of it, didn't we actually see the rocket launching in some of the pre-release things...?
You guys are looking too much into the "multiverse".
There's a whole another universe for when you pick a different starter.
Each little different action that could happen creates another universe.
The multiverse is just an explanation for why Hoopa is able to grab legendaries and throw them at you without ruining the canon set so far.
It's because they are being taken out of different universes.
The established timeline is still the correct timeline.
>TFW pokemon was awesome as a child because fighting monsters
>It drops off in high school because fighting monsters isn't that great and the plot is pretty simple
>Drop it all together in college
>Now x/y and OR/AS have had some crazy lore stuff going on.
Damn you game freak, you keep takin my money.
That battle facility, Battle Tower which is then expanded into Battle Frontier was the idea of the Chatelaines, they were Hoenn born but are going for Kalos to take care of the Maison over there. Now, to replace the old Maison in Hoenn, they asked (I assumed) Scott to scout for potential heads for those new facility.
I don't think they have a connection with Team "E" or Devon.
>appreciating a company that one day is going to be run by this pedophile
>The Kalos Power Plant
>The power outage in Lumiose
OH FUCK GUYS I FIGURED IT OUT.
>The majority of Cyrus's localized names refer to the Sun; this fits in with the Commanders' planetary naming scheme, and may be a reference to how Cyrus would figuratively hold the Sun's position as center of his new world. The Korean and Chinese names contain both a reference to red, like the Japanese one, and to the Sun, like the localized Western ones.
copy pasted that shite about cyrus.
>the sun dial
>the sun and cyrus connected or some shit
>Cyrus would figuratively hold the Sun's position as center of his new world.
>hold the Sun's position as center of his new world.
>hold the Sun's position
sooooooo which game didn't have the day/night cycles? that's the game/s Cyrus built his new world in.
This might sound retarded but it's too late in the franchise's history for that to happen, for at least two reasons: They have already established themselves and they know well that they'll make enough sales with their long-lasting formula and setting the bar too high at this point can't be good, considering the first point (creating higher expectations for the future will only cause more disappointment later when such are not fulfilled).
It was a tweet+all the tight references we've had over the years
(3000 years ago)→FRLG/ORAS→HGSS/DPPt→(ORAS)→BW→B2W2→XY
I put ORAS there twice because I saw some people say they think ORAS could have been pushed because to before BW because there's a model of S.S. Unova in ORAS that says it's being built.
That's stupid thought, I doubt anything has been moved anywhere.
>last pokemon game
Sure, and i am Santa Claus
But imagine What if there was a game that GF had been working on since the very beginning and it was the game to end all Pokemon games, bringing the lore of all gens together and it was launched to celebrate 20 years of pokemon
And what if it launched in Febuary 27 of 2016 worldwide
This shit appears to work like Jojo, so ORAS happens at the same time RSE does but in a different continuity. Furthermore everything that happened in one timeline happens in the other (but apparently there might be a third where the Deoxys in FRLG actually comes from), and everyone in both at least so far seems to be consistent, except for Zinnia with her Reading Steiner knowledge.
>>Team E was the team mentioned in Hoopa's backstory
Shit I forgot all about that.
>Team Galactic claimed to be an energy research corporation
>Cyrus's true goal was to reset the entire universe
>after he loses for the final time in Platinum, he stays behind in the Distortion World
>fast forward to ORAS
>implication that older games exist as a "parallel dimension"
>yfw Cyrus is responsible for the division
>yfw Cyrus is slowly learning how to change the universe according to his own grand vision
>every retcon in every game is one more step towards his perfect world
>every piece of lore brings him closer to forge a Grand Unified Theory that weaves all of time and space into one harmonious thread
>Pokemon Bank is supposed to link all future Pokemon games
>Pokemon Bank is what Cyrus plans to weave everything into
I've always looked at is as just a reboot. The old versions become obsolete and the remakes override them in the continuity, but the multiverse being what it is, they still exist in some capacity. So I don't see it like, "RBY was canon until an in-universe event happened to make it non-canon" but more like "RBY was canon until a new improved game came out that made it functionally useless in canon"
>yfw Team E is a secret cult
>yfw many important and senior people from all over pokéworld are members
>yfw when Giovanni, Maxie, Archie etc were all dissidents and their team's plans were all excuses
>yfw everything they did was actually just to amass enough power to stang against Team E
>yfw Looker has his memory controlled and actually unowingly works for Team E, that's why he goes after the teams and capture their scientists
>yfw no face because it drowned in a deep lore
>yfw piccolo was really a mega-yoshi all along
To make things easier:
Mega-less timeline: (aka, what we were in before XY)
FRLG=Mega-less ORAS->HGSS=DPPt->BW->BW2=Mega-less XY
Same as above but everything has megas available.
So if he says rhinoceros beetle twice we're going to get more games like Diamond and Pearl?
I hope there's someone in here getting all these JJBA jokes
Wasn't Team Galactic also supposedly trying to find alternative energy sources to cover up the shady stuff they were doing all along?
What's with villainous teams in pokemon and their obsession with energy.
>sylphs are commonly assumed to be fairies
>sylph as in Sylveon
>Demon or Devil
>universally seen as creatures of Evil
>Dark is known as the Evil type in Japan
>Silph and Devon are introduced in Gens I and III, which both take place at the same time
>Silph Co = Fairy-type
>Devon Co = Dark-type
Don't forget steven mentions alains black charizard tying the anime and game universes together. Meaning Satoshi is the new EZ Champ.
Of course we don't know if by 'black charizard' he means 'mega charizard X' or the shiny charizard at the moment, but given that one curious screenshot of Charizard X from the ORAS pre-release crap this seems a little more likely.
Satoshi still ain't canon, though. Not by a long shot.
what if alternate-dimension giovanni wanted to get ubber rich to challenge Devon for killing his friends and family? What if taking over Silph was the last part of his grand scheme to overthrow Devon?
I don't think any pokemon game has had as many foreshadowing, mysterious backstories and LORE as ORAS. Before this there were was just some hints here and there, most of them related to legendary pokemon.
Now we have full-blown conspiracies and alternate universes, not to mention all the crazy shit like Mr.Bonding. That's by far the weirdest pokemon game I've seen.
>Z is actually a sequel to both XY and ORAS
>Kyogre and Groudon cause trouble around Kalos and that causes Zigarde to go apeshit and Thousand Arrows the fuck out of everything
>which causes RayRay to step in and try to save the world again
>God Snake of the Earth vs God Snake of the Skies
He will most likely defeat Diantha even if he doesn't win the league, so it could happen.
Anyway, I don't think the anime-league ever ended with people challenging the champion. Challenging the E4 and Champion is something anyone can do if they get lucky enough to find them.

THIS FITS TO WELL
The one NPC in Devon that mentions wanting to make a machine to look at Pokemon's dreams now has a new line after that where he says a foreign rival is researching the same thing.
The Devon guy who said 'We're trying to create a device to see Pokemon's dreams' or something or other in RSE now says that they're trying to create a device to talk to Pokemon, so they acknowledge it in a real roundabout way I guess.
>they didn't know it was a Spiritomb
>one day it misplaced itself, hiding and waiting to attack and kill Cozmo
Possible explanation as to why the team name is E - maybe a reference to epsilon? Delta-epsilon is the mathematical definition of the limit (which is typically used when you have to deal with infinities); that would set up a duality with Delta (obviously important) and perhaps symbolize infinity?
>yfw the platform is Mother Base

I'm glad they didn't forget about my waifu.
>No one cared who I was until I wore the scarf.

>It will be very painful...
>You're a big guy.
>Was getting caught part of your plan?
>Congratulations, you got yourself caught! What's the next step in your master plan?
>Crashing this plane...WITH NO SURVIVORS!
Where's Hoopa in all of this?
Why is he teleporting Legendary Pokemon all over?
Just what is he plotting?
Is he perhaps trying to get them all in Hoenn(which may be also close to Kalos?) because he knows some serious shit is about to go down?
What about Volcanion?
>Yoko Shimomura composes songs for ORAS
>ORAS adopts a time travel plot
>There's suddenly tons of focus on letters in old languages
>There's a group behind the scenes that is responsible for everything
Pokemon is very quickly turning into Kingdom Hearts. Do we panic?
He fucks up and creates an alternate-dimension with human-pokemon hybrids.
but seriously, I could see Cyrus travelling to a dimension like our world and realizing that a world with pokemon has less bloodshed no matter how many people like the evil team bossses would try to do wacky shit with their powers. Then he could just stop messing around with the time and space fabric.
In ORAS Looker has memory losses and don't know who he is
In later games, Looker goes around the world fighting evil team and specifically capturing their scientists
We don't know where he goes with them, but it seems to be some sort of project seing the way it happens to Xerosic
Looker is an agent of Team E all along
So...how does Mr. Bonding fit into all of this?
From what we know so far, at least one of the men forming "Mr. Bonding" seems to be a ghost that died in New Mauville
what caused the destruction of new mauville anyways?
>GF spends another year developing the next game to make sure it releases during the 20th Anniversary in 2016
>The culmination of the events of 3000 years ago established in XY and ORAS
>Two regions to explore: Hoenn and Kalos
>Battle against Team E
>Several new Megas
>New 3DS exclusive
Another year of development also means that there is another full year of the New 3DS becoming the standard, maybe GameFreak is smarter than we all thought
Isn't he supposed to be this timeline's Celebi? Then he's doing the opposite of what Celebi does, in other words fuck with time and space instead of trying to maintain its order.
There are two moves in all Gen VI games that cannot be learned by any known Pokemon by any known method. They are Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves, and both are basically souped-up versions of Land's Wrath. When used in battle, their animations consist of a dazzling spray of what are clearly Zygarde's scales.
It's possible that those moves will be used to activate Zygarde's Mega Evolution, just like how Dragon Ascent is what allows Rayquaza to reach the pinnacle of its evolution. Of course, that just brings up another question.
Why are there two of them?
>XY Hoopa lore guy mentions an organization that captured and tried to control Hoopa but failed
>Team E was that organization
>they used Hoopa to pull legendaries from the other pokemon timeline
>the legendaries all use their themes from old gens because they literally ARE the legendaries from the old gens
>When the Kalos region's ecosystem falls into disarray, it appears and reveals its secret power.
>It's hypothesized that it's monitoring those who destroy the ecosystem from deep in the cave where it lives.
>Looker used to be a member of an evil organization, but lost his memories and instead spends his days fighting against similar evil organizations
Not now. Lets gather up all the lore first. I have a feeling something is right under our noses. Those empty caves in kalos for example. The power plants. The train and railroad.
>All these theories and fanfiction
Didn't Mass Effect 3 teach people why you shouldn't do this?
no, I mean that a final game in a gen, like gen 6 having crazy lore in XY and ORAS and then ending with Delta Emerald or Z or something crazy with all of the lore culminating in some huge thing that spans all of the games in that gen.
Then gen 7 does the same thing, but with a different story.
mfw it's a nod at the multiverse.
Well, you can only do the event with the event Arceus that was given out a long time ago, so unless you have an R4/Action Replay you won't be able to do it.
HG/SS are fairly decent though, buy one if you want.
