Post your teams for the game your currently playing/played last.
Mine is pic related, Omega Ruby.
Still looking for a 5th member I haven't used before. Thinking of a Torkoal but anything that learns a fire move would fit the bill.
I'd only use it once to transfer everything I doubt I'd use it to store things on, since the 3DS just has 1 programme at a time.
I'd have it at $5/month if it was seamless between game to bank.
I might as well give it a go, probably grab it on payday.
Used Machamp in my Alpha Sapphire run recently, a fighting type would be good, but I've used Hariyama on my first ever Ruby run, Medicham on Pearl and Machamp on Red, Crystal, Leaf Green and Alpha Sapphire.
I was thinking Primape if a fighting type.
I was considering a fire, bug or ghost type too.
Currently doing Red Nuzlocke
looks basic and I know there's zapdos but it was either mono water and no flying pokemon or this. Puts work but with these pokemon, it should be expected
Playing through White 2 with the Challenge Key enabled. Just got to Umbrella Town and fought my rival.
Fuck man I wish the super rod wasnt postgame only. Would have loved to have Chinchou on my team.
Been playing through soul silver for Ho-Oh. Just got to Celadon
Fucking this. I really want a Lanturn but only avaliable post-game.
Playing White 2 too, on Victory Road. Reuniclus is dogshit and I regret training him. I wanted to use Carracosta but it's only avaliable on post-game, like Lanturn, so I grabbed a Starmie. Also wanted to have some pokémon with HA abilities but Hidden Grotto is awful, with only 20% chance to get pokémon, and the good ones with 1%, maybe 2%. And if you don't get a pokémon, there's only a 5% chance for that Hidden Grotto regenerate.
At this point I just want to beat everything with Infernape and go straight catch my favorites. After all I'm just playing this for the PWT.
Currently grinding before heading to the Under.
This, but I need it to transfer pretty often, I still play old gens a lot. Fuck ninty, don't know what's going to happen to all my pre gen 5 shit when the servers go down. They better do something.
Still training my last two mons, and still deciding whether to keep Doublade. It was a gift from my friend. I had never seen him before and he told me it evolved so I was curious.
Also hi guys. Haven't posted on here in years.
The first part of X and Y I played were super good.
The time between the second and third gym was massive and I played with the same naïve excitement that I did when I played Blue and Gold for the first time it was great.
I'm not saying I don't enjoy the games now, but the start of that game was incredibly nostalgic.
Naomi - Roserade (FOXDIE = poison)
Mantis - Alakazam (mind reading)
Solid/Raiden/Snake - Swampert (starting the game swimming to the mission area)
Guess you can't name the Doublade but it'd be Soldius due to Dual Blades.
Volgin - Machamp (hard hitting meleeman)
REX - Tyrannitar
If you wanted a Boss she'd be more of a female fighting type like Meinshao, Medicham or (Mega) Lopunny.
>>Pokemon White 2 (Because I can, nigga)
>>Excadrill lv 64
>>Magnezone lv 65
>>Cobalion lv 62
>>Aerodactyl lv 62
>>Chandelure lv 63
None of them are EV trained. Fucking scrub...
Just an Eevee. I'm playing
XDand plan to evolve herinto Vaporeon.
>tfw not even a waifufag
My old Ralts was named Mantis but I swapped him out for Alakazam.
I used to name them all after MGS characters, but now just some. And I always name my starter Big Boss.
Soami- A kind of play on words. An alternate name I use on online games.
Recusant- There was a quote from DDD I really liked. "As your flesh, bears the sigil, your name will be known as that...of a recusant."
Big Boss- My favorite vidya character.
Big Guy- A somewhat obvious ongoing Dark Knight Rises joke.
The Boss- I always name the Pokemon I train the hardest after her. And Tyranitar is my favorite Pokemon.
Should I keep Doublade?
Just finished the super training and did it. Aegislash is cool, but I didn't personally train him well enough to keep him on.
I need a good dark type that can learn many types of moves.
>Why you play honestly when you can hack all the Pokémon/Item in seconds!?
Some people just don't like to cheat in games, learn that injectionfag.
wonderlocke alpha saphire. Grinding for Elite
Bored of romhacks and randomizers so I decided to do a normal run of Silver for a change. Names are dice games. I'm about to face Morty right now, I grinded a bit because I wanted to have a Machoke just in case even though he won't be of much use, so I did the lighthouse's trainers and whatnot. I'm still thinking of what water type I want, since it has to be able to get Waterfall too.
Why did so many water pokemon in gen 2 not learn Waterfall? It's complete shit. Chinchou is great though, Lanturn pulls its weight and learns waterfall. Quagsire too IIRC, if you caught one.
no dude, you get the keys from clearing the hall of fame in each game. Challenge Key from Black 2, Easy Key from White 2. Then you can send a copy of said key to another copy of White/Black 2 and enable it.
Easy key apparently lowers trainer pokemon levels and sets their AI to wild pokemon level.
Challenge increases the levels, starting from just 1 going up to 5 as you progress, also Gym Leaders and elite four have an extra pokemon. I also think their AI is smarter.
Is it harder? Kinda but not really. Basically don't be surprised if the AI pulls a fast one on you but other than that, it's just higher level pokemon.
Emulator is in my other computer, so I can't take screenshot, here's my trainer card.
Doing a 2nd run through of Y, trying to use mons I don't ordinarily use. So far I got
I thought about adding Blaziken but didn't like the thought of using two starters. Maybe I should try a different water type
How about Quagsire, Seadra/Kingdra, Lapras, Dewgong, Tentacruel, Gyarados? I'd use Qwilfish in HGSS (one of my weird favorites) but it kinda sucks in GSC thanks to Water being special that gen.
I love Noctowl, but I could never use it because its stats are so bad. Are you gonna switch it out for something else later?
Also I'm replaying Crystal in Japanese on my Vita for Japanese practice and nostalgia. This is my team so far, just got to Goldenrod city:
I wanted the Random egg from the Day Care Man, but apparently Crystal requires some outdated peripheral bs from the year 2000 so I can't get the Pichu I want. Maybe I'll just gameshark it in. You can use gameshark to evolve Poliwhirl to Politoed right? Otherwise I see no point in keeping it.
use what you want, I don't think there are "good" normal mons.
I could use:
maybe a mega (mom or bunny)
and I can't think on one that use special moves
Ok I just started my OR run a few days ago. I understand ORAS are the latest games but should I really transfer my xy pokes there? I've never really cared for the remakes but considering ORAS has more megas than XY, I had to think about it.
I've always considered the remakes as some sort of "side games" to accompany the uhhh, "main line". But right now, ORAS seems more like a sequel to XY than a side game.
This is more of a "should I make ORAS my main game or stick with XY?" question. I liked gen 3 to a certain point but I've already had my time with it. Of course it comes down to preference but i'd like to know what you guys thought about it.
Nuzlocking through Volt White
>they keep spamming status move
I don't know, he learned Confusion during the Elite four, and I decided that Mud Slap was too shit to keep. It's not like Noctowl learns much else before Kanto's TMs, and even with them frankly. All I did was use Hypnosis and spam Take Down anyway.
Here's my team in complex crystal. I'm just about to head into the radio tower.
My Sapphire team, I've literally just defeated Steven Stone.
Golduck (M) @ King's Rock
Ability: Cloud Nine
- Ice Beam
Pelipper (M) @ Sea Incense
Ability: Keen Eye
- Ice Beam
- Secret Power
Girafarig (M) @ Amulet Coin
Ability: Inner Focus
- Calm Mind
Relicanth (M) @ Quick Claw
Ability: Swift Swim
- Secret Power
- Ancient Power
Milotic (F) @ Mystic Water
Ability: Marvel Scale
- Ice Beam
Masquerain (F) @ Focus Band
- Bubble Beam
- Ice Beam
- Silver Wind
Got lot of money from not battling every trainer and preserving them for Amulet Coin greed and grinding. Golduck, Milotic, Girafarig, Relicath were also EVs trained since I'm going to transfer them on Platinum. Pelipper is a little a mixed bag and Masquerain had some wrong EVs too but majority is spread correctly.
I like Hoenn as a region but holy shit playing Ruby or Sapphire is such a pain, no breeding tools, no tutors, shit villain teams and unevolved mons, fucking limited regional pokemon dex. I'm doing my 5th run (I think so, had probably double the cap gameplay time showed in Ruby before restarting it too) with Pokemon I have almost never used in the main ingame runs and the physical/special split issues summed to level up movepool issues is an impressive cockblocker.
Also with this run I think I've tried all the avaible mons in Hoenn, as in I'm not going to use a fucking empty slot called Dustox or Beautifly in a game previous to Gen 5 or Gen 6.
Run on Black with no favourites not grinding no evolution rules. Just got third badge.
Shit random nicknames are shit.
But this run is fun
Heracross, Pinsir, Aggron, Medicham, Rhydon, Girafarig, Probopass, Hariyama, Mawile, Sableye, Shiftry, Solrock/Lunatone, Cradily, Armaldo, Grumpig.
Man, I've played Ruby through a lot.
Nosepass for magnet pull
Usually an Alakazam 58
Red Nuzlocke, just arrived at Vermillion..
Shen is a Magikarp.
King is Nidoking.
Lem is a Geodude.
I'm not good with nicknames.
That's okay, sometimes random dumb nicknames are the best. I spent the better half of an hour trying to nickname my Shelder one time, and my brother got one and called it Tongue Punch. My Trident hangs its head in shame.
I've been thinking about whether or not to new game my Heart Gold. I use it to get legendary Pokemon (and then of course edit the IVs via Action Replay before I transfer them up to ORAS because fuck soft resetting and idk how to inject) but I've pretty much gotten everything I could want/need. It's either HG or my White 2. But I have Soul Silver to fall back on so I guess I'll hit up my HG and have some fun with it. Might try a mono type challenge.
Adding to this just for lols, HG team before I new game was
I actually have a pretty good looking roster in my box so I'm going to trade some before I new game. Got the Giratina that hatches from the egg event, a Celebi, Arceus, Mewtwo and Ho-Oh. It's the Dia/Pal/Giratina signature move Arceus, too.
Playing through Platinum. Insofar
Bibarel 14 as hm slave
I'm thinking of swapping in the togepi egg for Staravia but...bravest bird
I've never played Platinum entirely and played Diamond ages ago so it's fairly interesting.
