>thinking I was talking about age at all
>comparing Shuffle to Tetris
Sorry anon, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the thread was about to expire and since I don't play mobile I forgot Lugia Ho-Oh and Celebi were around last week. Yeah mobile max mons should be 227 not not 230.
>no new mobile stages
>probably no genesect yet
i just burned a megastart to try Srank milotic and it took me 10 turns for the first mega ampharos tile appear
mobile life is suffering
>struggling to s rank anything in mobile
it takes 1 day to get 10k coins in mobile and as long as you invest your hearts on meowth you wont waste time on anything else.
also i started playing mobile around 2 months ago and i remember that you can only get 1 reward for competitions, so for everyone doing the gardevoir comp, if you win speedup you wont get the mega stone?
FIRST FOR OP A SHIT! :^)
I know, I know... Most of the times I'm just maymaying those words. But this time holy crap...
avengah isnt even in the top 5 EU right now and OPs picture is only a few minutes after the competition started. Newfags will see this shitty thread and come to the conclusion that avengah may be back on the top. B-but avengah a shit.
Also the fact that >>24586046 excuses for his fucking up...
LITERALLY CONFIRMED that a-fail-gah made the OP...
out of 5 daily pokemon coin runs I got:
- 1x 530
- 2x 130 (fuck those rocks spawning right over the coins)
- 2x nothing (no initial combo)
soo pretty mehh.. like a bad meowth run I guess.
I even bought a +5 and tried to get combos with
shufflemove. Endet with 1300 coins this run. So just like a 530 coins meowth run.
tl;dr: only grind coins on meowth. If you havent caught the daily yet, bring the previous daily with you and hope for a initial +4 combo to get 5 delicious coins
daily pokemon spawn coins? i caught kecleon on my first run and then went back to meowth right away
then i got bored of grinding meowth and now i'm trying to level my fire mon + lugia for whenever they finaly get off from their asses and release genesect
M-Charizard/Lugia/Ho-oh/Heatran is the best anti-bug team i can field on mobile right? i know the ability sucks but this way everyone has 80 attack and it's not like regirock, aurorus or the other fire pokemon are better
So it's a combo BEFORE the first turn then. Such a bizarre thing to do, you don't even get a combo unless you bring the previous daily Pokemon.
And the few times I tried it, it kept spawning coins together. First time it spawned 4 in a row. Next 3 times it spawned 3 in a row.
I'm sorry I've failed you, I'll never make another thread in the middle of the night without double checking the
inferiormobile version's events I was going to use the afailgah a shit pic but I saw the one I did use and thought it was posted afterwards.
So yes for you
If there's 14 moves left, or you've made a single move unless you bought M+5, it won't spawn coins. If you're not buying M+5 the only way to get coins, as was said before you disagreed and then said the exact same thing, is to bring the previous daily for combos.
>as was said before you disagreed and then said the exact same thing
Where? Anon said it's ON the first turn but it's not, it's BEFORE. The first turn is when you actually move an icon.
That was my bad. It was a misunderstanding of when the countdown switched. I did test it though, and coins will spawn multiple times with a moves +5. Its isnt weekend meowth good but its good enough
Just updated it, you're right.just some interface changes. They changed the way the S rank looks and shows how many stages completed.. I think?
I've caught them all so I can't tell if that's stages completed or Pokemon caught.
In grinding M-Blastoise I found an interesting quirk about it. It destroys all adjacent tiles but extends 2, same as M-Altaria. However if one of the tiles next to the mega match is also a Blastoise, the line in that direction will actually extend 3 icons. Since on 3DS version making a + match of megas only activates the horizontal and not both like it does on mobile, it is possible to test if having 2 Blastoise icons next to the horizontal match in the vertical direction will extend the destruction 4 icons, as it would if it were matched itself just without also adding the side removal.
>asked to update
>can't download game from play store because third world european nigger

how in the FUCK do i beat megamewtwo on mobile? fuck OFF
Why in the fuck have they not blocked Ditto from being used in competitions? All they need to do is reject uploading a score of the team contains Ditto.
This whole thing just makes GS look bad.
Mega Glalie can go die in a fire.
New I gotta go grind coins just do I can pass the stage. Have only 500 coins at the moment after RNG screwed over my Disruption Delay and -5 moves items.
tfw you are bad at being bad
Its LITERALLY not possible to have a lower score...
pls mobile fags tell me your secret. How do I get bad at this game :^)
Right after typing, the next 2 attempts gave me coins, one matched 3 coins instantly while the other allowed me to get 5. I wish Durant would just get in the ball so I can quit this level.
Same. Paralyze fucks the coin spawn with Qwilfish, and the stage layout makes it impossible to connect 5 without sheer luck. After the sixth try i dropped qwilfish for optimize and caught it on the first try
Okay, mobilefag here.
Anyone want to add me on Facebook so I can get more goddamn hearts? E-mail me; my account's private... because I'm dumb enough to connect my real account. -- firstname.lastname@example.org
Beat it in a few moves? Granted, its HP is pretty high and with the small amount of moves it may seem impossible. You can't beat it with shitmons, I can tell you that.
Used Lugia (2), Ho-Oh (2), and Heatran (8)
>Steel and fire fillers
Still couldn't win even with items. Didn't help RNG didn't give me Mega Evolution until the Disruption Delay wore off.
Also, farming Meowth is lame. Either waste time matching the coins but run our of moves, or attempt matching 4-5 coins but Meowth accidentally becomes kill.
You can start both already, if you have enough 'mons and they're strong enough. You might have a chance at the daily Pokemon but for Lugia/Ho-Oh/Kyogre probably not unless you use attack power to even have a chance
there is no real good ETA, just give it a try as soon as you can field a bunch of SE with decent abilities (no shit like opportunist, risk taker or disruption removal that's not on the stage) at least 60 BP, and the right mega
mega are every 15 stage and i'd say you at least want M-Glailie at stage 120 and M-ampharos (who's stage 100 but the actual ampharos is stage 130)
try to start with articuno, 70 BP + power of 4 makes him pretty good
crowd controll, would even be usefull on a 50 BP mon.
Power of 4+ even though never saw a below 70 BP mon that has this one.
Also it might be good to level up Flaaffy, in case you dont bring Garchomp as your mega to Ampharos. I mean it still does shit damage, but 35 is better than 25 and those 10 MIGHT save you.
Also since im a huge min-max faggot.
hey the guy that grinded flaaffy is back :^)
There is LITERALLY_NO_REASON_ to EVER_GRIND flaaffy anon. NEVER_EVER! NO_REASON!
DO NOT GRIND FLAAFY. IT JUST MAKES NO SENSE
joking aside... it really is not adviceable to grind flaafy. the damage increase is just to low. There is always a better move to make than matching flaafys. Also Amphy resists flaaffy so even less damage
pretty much anything that deals more damage though power of 4 and crowd control are favourite while opportunist and risk taker are shit
in disruption heavy stage just match the pokemon to the disruption (so bring rock break pokemon in stage with rock) or abilities that delay the opponent pokemon (mind zap is great for those that have a longass count)
didn't we have a pastebin with a tier list for skill anyway?
i have 62,000 coins, what's better getting up to 90,000 with meowth or grinding my pokemon on ampharos?
i was grinding charizard/ho-oh/heatran/lugia for whenever they finaly decided to get off from their ass and release genesect but i'm not sure this is a good idea
>sort by super effective pokemon
eat that 3ds shitter
>he's proud of playing easy mode :^)
it's not like you have no chance but it's not ideal to do that, just try to get to ampharos as quick as you can, even if you don't get lugia in time he will be back
please mobile fag, unfair != difficulty
One would expect that this is common knowledge, but mobile shitters love games like flappy bird so common knowledge doesnt apply to them ^:')
>implying I fucked up
>sort by super effective pokemon
Was this only just added along with the pokemon count in the corner? Because if so, since 3DS had this week's data coded into last week's update I could see them using this time to prepare 1.3
14h awake and have 3ds near me *2 hearts per hour equals 28 hearts for a day.
Since I'm doing dailies/events/whatever lets say 25 hearts.
An average meowth run (5hearts) is about 2k coins. So 2k times 5... around 10k coins a day
just joking... I'm injecting coins :^)
Let's assume absolute perfect play, 530 coins per meowth run, playing every half-hour on the nose. That's 25440 coins per day. Unrealistic for most but it sets a theoretical ceiling on what can be done.
Let's assume you're able to steal enough time to run through 5 hearts five times a day (wakeup, lunch, home from work/school, dinner, bed) - with perfect play that's 13250 coins a day - almost half of the maximum but it's very doable with perfect luck and finding 5-10 minutes of free time in a day.
Of course, we're not perfect. Let's assume that each 5 heart run nets 1750 coins (two 530s, two 330s and one attempted 530 gets an early kill for only 30 coins) That's still 8750 coins a day for about 25 to 30 minutes invested. It's honestly not that difficult.
>not waking up every 2.5 hours to waste hearts on the safari trying to find phione
damnit, I miss phiones wild ride :^)
I really hope GS makes a safari with a 0.1% encounter rate... this would be fun
or a safari with 5 pokemon that have 1% each. And of course they resist each other so you cant bring an all-purpose team
How the fuck have you managed to max so many? I've been playing this game since release (besides 2 weeks on holiday), caught everything except Jirachi, S-ranked nearly everything... and I only have 9 Pokemon maxed.
All the hackers are ruining the events.
They should just release ditto as is but make it unusable in events and give an automatic D rank if used to clear a stage. Just like an easy mode for babbys.
You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!
Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!
Maybe you could have provided a valid answer instead of shitposting yourself.
I mean, the only way you can have that many maxed Pokemon is either by hacking, or by literally playing the game at every conceivable opportunity like an autist.
Not that guy but boy do you sound childish right now. You said you've played the game since release besides 2 weeks holiday, and now you're going to say this guy is autistic for playing the game more than you. Isn't that how it always works? If someone's better than you they have no life. Catching and S ranking everything is just what you have to do to get everything in the game, that doesn't make you great at it. This game isn't hard, just buy items and it becomes a walk in the park. Completing everything could be done with no skill at all. It's actually very easy to have that many pokemon maxed out, just go into every week with near max coins, quickly clear out what's new, get back to max very quickly, and then you have a whole weak to spend grinding on Ampharos. You're the one who's shitposting with your overusage of the buzzword autist.
>and I only have 9 Pokemon maxed.
I only grind Meowth for coins until I hit 99k and even I have 23 maxed out with another six or so at 7+. Never even touched Ampharos more than twice.
>Meowth turns my 3rd coin into a block.
You little shit. Why must you do this to me.
>supreme mobile when?
There was at one point where mobilefags were able to exploit a heart glitch for unlimited play which was the closest we got to supreme status. That glitch has long been patched up and so far nobody has found any glitches. Good ol' times tho :'^)
Nice double doubies. But no, not all the cheaters get pruned, only the really stupid/obvious ones.
I'd reckon that at least a good 40% of the prize winning scores are not legit.
Not to mention it prevents you from seeing the proven top teams so you can adjust yours accordingly.
Which team do you have? I usually had 5-8 turns left with Garchomp, Tyranitar, Palkia and another one I forgot.
Tyranitar is very useful for kicking out Heatmors, the rest is just filler.
>need a billion attempt at catching it
>caught on first attempt
>need a billion attempt at catching it
>caught on first attempt
i know, i know probability and all but i still feel like the game is fucking with me
You are REALY bad.
if you dont get 10k coins on meowth per day, you are doing somethjing extremly wrong.
MAX'ing pokemon isnt difficult with ampharos and you should have time for that..
fuck man you destroyed him with common sense and logic.
Are you kidding? Ho-oh is easy, on top of being great. I beat it itemless and caughty it on my frist try. Keep some coins for a greatball if you have to, and turn off the 3DS if it breaks out of the great ball to keep your coins.
anyone else from europe is starting to have problem with the game? everytime i start it won't connect to the server unless i manualy tell the game to update my data
i'm starting to think this is a move to keep illegal VPN immigrant like me outside of the game
Has literally always worked. The game doesn't save until after the results screen. You can turn off at any point after throwing a gb and get your coins back. You can even throw 7 gbs and get your coins back if it comes to that.
YFW u use this trick to conserve coins trying to catch goodra since u suck at timed stages and you do well for once at 12% catch, fail, maxpower 76% use Great ball and goobitch still pops out ;-;
Did I hit a nerve? You talk like a 12 year old or a woman who just discoverd the internet, still laughing at "I CAN HAZ CHEESEBURGERS" cat images.
So yeah, why are you talking like a retard?
>Why don't you get supreme?
No entrypoints to homebrew left
You actually don't need to be online in order to get the offline special stages. I tried that a while back when I was out (around the time Pinsir got its re-run). Hadn't checked news cause I had no internet access, Meowth and Victini showed up just fine.
Unless anon meant that he won't be playing shuffle at all
If you go to a new internet forum, it is common courtesy to look around, see how others interact with each other and then interact with the others (unless its a help forum or something of the line, which 4chan obviously isnt).
If you are to different in the way you communicate, people will either mock or ignore you. On 4chan, its mostly mocking.
Considering how adamant you are in the way you type, you are a lost cause and deserve any kind of mockery you get.
Had to explain this to you, because it seems that this is a concept that clearly goes over your head. Also 4chan is a 18+ website.
And >>24599732 was 100% you, don't tell lies on the Internet.
Candy Cut-off's for each different region as of now.
The candy cut-off percentage means: in order to get the candy you need to be among the best x,xx% players right now.
The percentage for place means: that my place is among the best x,xx% players.
- I tried to get the same score as good as possible. But since its not the same score there is a small fault tollerance
- Eurofag here and we use a "," instead of a "." for decimels. deal with it
- Those numbers only mean smt right now. If new players submit their score those numbers will get smaller. Except them to drop on sunday significantly
If you have absolutely nothing else to train, they're probably the best bet after everything >>24593831 said since they do still have some super-situational use. But even then, they're basically not going to be worth the trouble 99% of the time.
How do I this game? I want to have so much gold that I could buy a Complexity -1 as many times as I want without cheating or paying real money.
Is there a specific farming guide for gold and exp?
>Is there a specific farming guide for gold and exp?
It's literally just going to Meowth or Ampharos respectively. For Meowth just try to build up to making a five coin combo on the right(Two above and two below) and knowing when you can't get a 4 or a 5 based on the health and turns left. A win on Meowth is 1160(Or something higher than 1150 at least), and you should just sort by attack and take whatever seems worth taking that won't kill it fast but can help you kill it consistently.. For Ampharos it's just beating it.
>mfw people bitching about re-runs of kyogre and groudon
>mfw caught then easily this time without having to spend a great ball
Any idea if we're getting anything new this Monday? I'd like a new escalation battle, or even a rerun of an older one, so I can gather some more candies, while catching up on the few S-ranks I have left.
Realistically I only have enough coins for one of these, Gardevoirite or Ho-oh. Which is the better choice? I'm also quite new, stuck on conkeldurr and only have shitmons no decent steel/poison for waifu mon
Grind coins on sunday meowth and do a final gardevoir run with atk+ after doing quite a few dry runs. This way you should get easily the mega stone.
Also concentrate more on ho-oh since its actually quite decent (its better then heatran). Also use shufflemove!
And dont forget to buy exp 1.5 for tomorrows saturday victini
>quite new, stuck on conkeldurr...
Well I should say casual then... Playing both mobile and 3DS, this game has ruined my soul.
I usually only get about 2000 for the weekend meowth and that's cutting it close. Just have 10000 earned from grinding regular meowth. What is shuffle move sorry?
Are you using Moves +5 and :
Mega gengar + Quirky-mons
Mega Blaziken + fire mons
Mega Mewtwo + Psychic mons
Mega Banette + Ghost mons
It's pretty hard to get anything lower than 3000 with these.
Shufflemove is a simulator program that attempts to find the best move to take for a given board layout/team. It has a mode for Sunday Meowth, I'd look into it. Using Moves +5 and any of the teams that the other anon said you should do pretty well.
Shufflemove is in the OP and its a turn based calculator showing you the best move under certain conditions. Its great to maximize getting sunday meowth coins.
For sunday meowth you have to use certain teams, just like >>24605890 said. The best team is certainly
- M-Mewtu with 3 mega boosters (espeon and meowstic cats)
- M-Banette with mega boosters/quirky mons (basically the same as mewtwo but with ghosts)
- M-Blaziken with fire mega boosters is also great but can be situational
if you dont have them yet M-Gengar with quirky mons is also quite decent, but not as good as those other three strategies.
Also buy 5 turns!!
Start grinding meowth. Aim for 5s, go for 4s if a 5 wont work. You can easily get 10k and do both.
For Ho-oh, you may be able to squeak by woth MAero and you highest BP SEs, itemless, or with just a ap+
If you have to choose between one or the other, go for Ho-oh. 80BP Fire is always nice, and its ability is bad but better than Heatran's. Unless it changes, Mega Gardevoir is fairly useless.
I would guess that your score is pretty secure for a Mega Speedup.
Are you sure there's nothing left worth grinding? It can be easy to overlook crowd control pokémon like snubbul, grimer and phione.
>max out cresselia
>need another psychic to grind
>there are literally no base 70 psychic pokemon
I suppose it makes sense, considering there's three base 80 mon, but there's three base 80 dragons as well. What's the deal, GS?
help me /shuffle/, because I'm apparently unable to meowth grind any more. My team of Conk7/phione9/duskull3/lampent4 ends up killing the damn cat in two or three moves from giant-ass combos - I don't even get the chance to get the third coin in line.
Am I using a bad team for meowth, and if so can someone suggest a better one?
Just go Conk/Something (Scizor or Heatran work well) and leave the last two spots empty so they're replaced with a Happiny and Pidgey that won't earn exp.
For problems with combos, just watch your moves more carefully. Try to avoid clearing more than three icons at a time until you're ready to deal damage, try to make matches at the top of the board instead of the bottom when you can, and be on the lookout for what can lead to obvious combos from the skyfall (like making a match that leaves two icons next to where new icons will drop).
I know all that, but it doesn't help when skyfall just shoves combos down your throat. Things like, when moving the first coin into position would make a T-match of phione. No big deal until both of them proc crowd control for 650 apiece and its dead.
Most of the trouble I get into is when I'm moving the 4th coin into position, there's usually only one move that lets me play for 500 (it's rare I can play for 300, I basically have to commit by turn 3) and it just cascades into 1500 points before I can do anything.
I've been doing quite well with Audino, Bulbasaur, Riolu, and Hawlucha. None of them do too much damage so you have quite a bit of flexibility even if you accidentally combo too much. Slight risk of not quite knocking out Meowth but I usually get it working quite well. And as always, don't get too greedy. If there's a too much of a risk for the 5 settle for the 4 or even 3.
On that note, I wonder if they're going to make Latios Psychic or Dragon. They could very well make it Psychic, but either one is going to have a fourth base 80 at the end of the day.
Still wish there were a couple of base 70 psychic mon.
Having Crowd Control and a fighting type seems like overkill. Here's the strategy I use:
1. First thing is to try to move the coin in the lower left over to the far right column. If there aren't two icons next to the coin, I try find a way to make them there next turn. If not, go to step 2 and try later.
2. Make a simple horizontal three match to drop the top right coin down one level. There's almost always an easy way to do this when the level starts, and if not, it's easy to set up. Sometimes I do this first if the three icons needed to match are in the second row from the top, since the board won't get disrupted as much as when making move 1. If you've made move 1 before doing this, make sure it's being put in a place where it will line up properly with the other coins and not end up in the middle, preventing a five match.
3. Before the first coin is spawned, I need to get step 1 and 2 done. If I have, then I do a small number of Conkeldurr matches to build damage; no combos, while trying to avoid erasing the icons I need to be on the board to move the next coin in the right position (if it happens to be Conk, then I don't match those). The coin spawns in a random position, but it will never spawn on the "edge" of the board, and the more icons I leave that I need, the more chances it'll spawn next to them. If steps 1 and 2 haven't been completed, I screw it and go for a four coin match by dropping the coins on the right one more level.
4. When the coin spawns, I either need to be able to move it the same turn, or make one move to be able to move it the next turn. If I can't, I go for the four coin match.
5. Until the fifth coin spawns, I do the same as in step three, doing small damage while avoiding combos. What I choose to match depends on how much health is left. Avoiding big combos, and only matching near the top.
Your weekend Meowth score is determined mainly by where the RNG decides to spawn your coins every turn. The real money comes from when Meowth makes his own 3+ combos multiple times in a single move. Shuffle Move really doesn't help much with it.
It's possible to have a score in multiple regions with HANS, idk if they're banning me for that. Was bored and decided to invade the wasteland that is Europe.
>57k is still top5-worthy without the Dittofags
>btw avengah a shit :^)
Oh my bad, I don't lurk that much on here anymore and missed it.
thanks m8, i also have a 60k from day one here >>24586250, my dittomerica score is a 56k one i'd like to improve but idk if i'll bother
>those scores. Also pls do another run so you are at least in the top 5 in all three regions :^)
mfw I barely managed to get 54k in japan by sheer luck and a 54 m-mawile combo in the last second. Nai pls... how do I gid gud?
M-Aero is good to hold the combo but I always fuck up near the end. M-Mawile on the other side does good damage and a good combo in the last seconds is like +10k points. help :^)
>all three regions
I may do some runs in vanilla shuffle tomorrow if I'm really bored but I probably won't even show up at all because GS probably won't clear the dittos until the end of the competition.
Idk, keep the combo till the end? i use my headphones at max volume, hold the ds at most comfortable position and only do runs when I'm alone in the room, the rest is up to you and RNG. M-Aero is also pretty good because you can intentionally combo other things until triggering the disruption then just match an Aero you had already left there, so it'll clear more shit while you do combos. This competition is pretty straightforward, you just choose a mega (both Mawile and Aero are optimal) and match shit, nothing else unless you want to go super high with Normal team but I only saw top japs doing that. I haven't tried Mawile yet, literally no one on the tops from non-JP leaderboards are using Aero so I wanted to be the hipster, but I also like how it works similarly to Gengar for combo stalling
>run meowth all the week since lame kyogre and groudon rerun
>use shuffle move when doing weekend meowth
>suddenly 80,000 coins
wow i didn't believe i would ever max coin and yet here i am just 19,000 coins away from doing it
I actually said Scyther anon. My point was to forget Scyther and train Scizor instead, exactly for the reason you stated. For BP70 bugs I'd rank them
2. Scizor (only because you get it early)
considering mega speedups are kinda pointless, is it a good idea to spend another 12k to get another try?
Im not realy confident that I get it, since I already tried 2 times and only got close to 33k, both times.
1160 is right, anon.
You should make a profit easily with move+5
I use a Power of 4+ mon over Phione these days so CC doesn't activate on 3 matches and dick me over. Having said that, the real reason I moved away from Phione was that it was max.
That sounds about right. Not sure they'll have enough sense to actually do that. Also the zaps could go right to left instead of left to right just for 'muh mirror'
Yeah both Scizor and Pinsir are worth training even though they're both objectively worse than Heracross, just in case their mega turns out to be GOAT tier shit.
Nah, Genesect is top bug m8. hera is certainly second, and the other two both have potential megas. Volcarona is exactly where it needs to be
Keep trying anon, My first 2 runs were 30K and 24K and I ended up with 39K
After another 8 runssafe for the speed up.
Looks I should lern2read :^)
I'd put Pinsir above Scizor but otherwise that list is right
Mega Boost is rarely ever helpful over damage increasing abilities. Scizor's potential to mega puts it higher despite the ability being poor.
not realy, m8.
Pinsir and Scizor have a chance to be a good mega, but that possibility doesnt give them a better standing.
Considering that for Grass pokemon you should use Mega Blaziken + 3 or 2 other fire pokemons, we have Dark and Psychic ones.
Against Psychic, you should always have Darkai with you since its strong and has an extreme strong ability. If you go with M-Heracross, you have 2 slots left, one of them is given to Genesect. And the last slot should be given to one that either speeds-up your mega or increases bug damage, and so far there isnt a 'Mon that increases bug damage, so Volcarona it is. But then again, its much more adviced to focus on a ghost team with M-Banette. If not that, then you should be using Gengar, Darkai, Genesect and Heracross.
This leaves us with dark. If they dont change M-Gardevoir (which they hopefully do because its ability horseshit and only usefull one 1 fucking stage that everyone S-ranked already), the go-to mega is M-Heracross. Other slots are for Xerneas and Genesect. The last one can be used for the Mega Boost or damage increase, which bug's are currently lacking so Volcarona it is.
Of course you could Hybrid both cases and bring Togetic/Togekiss for Dark's and Zoroark for Psychi's, but the point is; Pinsir and Scizor right now arent very usefull. Just because they have potential (which GS will ruin) doesnt make them more usefull right now.
>ability that only helps megas
>which are better
Nah, Volc is below megas because megas are all it's ability helps. Because megas are literally made better by it's ability, megas are the one who improve, not volc itself.
Yeah, I'll do that once phione is maxed (it's damn close, will probably get it today)
a rather pisspoor meowth with M-Banette team, only 3300 profit. It felt like a lot more...at least I have the coins for one more M-garde run, the cutoff looks like it'll be in the realm of 36-37k.
praying M-Aero can get me there.
dude, where did I say that volcarona is better than a mega?
I said its better than Pinsir and Scizor, which at the current point are not megas.
And if their mega ability sucks balls, than Volcarona will be the better mon, considering that you will always priortize using Heracross over the other megas and volcarona to help speeding up Heracross's evolution.
Yeah go ahead and waste time on something that only improves other mons, then have those other mons do shit damage when you actually can use them together.
Pinsir and Scizor are above volc.
>tfw i'm on that list
as a dittofag
jokes aside, just used it to see how GS handles it.
went up today, check rankings... "Improper data has been sent. You cannot participate in this competition".
My score still holds in-game, but I cant see the ranks to check if it got deleted on the server.
Hope this answers something
>your entire post
The point he was making is that even though pinsir and scizor have shitty abilities, that they can mega evolve means there's a higher ceiling.
I mean think about it, if it turns out M-scizor is a bug-type mewtwo or gengar, it becomes the absolute best mon of its type.
so basically he just ignored what I replied to him?
Maybe I need to recap it:
- Pinsir and Scizor are not Megas as of right now
- They are NOT usefull right now (see >>24613914
- Volcarona is much more usefull right(!) now(!)
Just because they can get a mega stone in the future doesnt make them usefull right now. Atm they are dead weight, only reason to get them is to be a completionist. Making a tier-list like he did is only misleading, as Volcarona has a better use as of now.
They might get a good ability, they might not. Acting like they will get a good ability in a situation that is unclear yet neglects the other event of them being shit megas, in which case Volcarona will still be the better pokemon.
So the best course of action to do is to use what we got right now a.k.a. the present a.k.a. not the fucking future, because the present is certain, whereas the future isn't.
Are you even paying attention?
He's talking about training mons which are useful, or will be in the future. It doesn't matter what their abilities are *right now* since we're talking about training them for future use, since this thread plot goes all the way back to >>24593554, where it's being asked which mons should be maxed out. As a general rule, megas are in that category, while mega boost mons, generally aren't. Normal megas, excepted, of course. So yeah, you go ahead, max out volcarona and the rest of us will use mega start, and three mons that have abilities.
GS has a habit of making stages that a particular mega is very effective to use it on, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen in the future.
I don't even like Heracross as a Mega but it's still worth maxing because there are a couple of stages it's GOAT on, even if it wasn't Crowd Control.
only thinking about the current right now present is a sucker's game. We know that GS does a mega comp every two weeks. It's dumb to think they WONT release M-Pinsir and M-Scizor, so those two need to be brought up to speed. If they end up being shit megas, then it sucks but we can't know that yet.
As for Volcarona, its ability is ONLY good if you have a bug-type mega, of which there's exactly one right now. Its utility is exceptionally limited by this, and it logically takes second fiddle unless you have reason to train it (say, a comp that requires M-Heracross)
Volcarona might be better NOW, but you have to assume that the megas will eventually be more important than the mega boost mon.
Well I guess I need to apologize here; I missed the part for training them. Based on that, the Could-be megas take priority in leveling up.
>mfw I took something out of context and argue for a complete different reason
I wish I was less impuslive
Eh, no big deal. You realized your mistake, you copped to it, and I'm not in the business of dragging on pointless arguments.
and even if I DID want to carry this on, it's grinding time.
Sleep Charm sucks. The low activation makes it not as good as you're saying it is. Po4+ on the other hand, is god tier. Against psychic it should be M-Gengar anyway over M-Heracross, and with either one of them regardless you're using Giratina Darkrai Genesect, and if using M-Gengar potentially drop Darkrai for Heracross depending on if you want the low possibility of help from sleep charm or damage.
For Dark the go to is M-Lucario, M-Heracross is only if the disruptions are columns like on Onix. Plus you have plenty of base 70s that are actually still helpful once you mega evolve, depending on the situation can be Pinsir, Gallade, Gardevoir, etc.
Scizor right now is not useful, yes. Pinsir is, because Po4 actually increases damage. Mega Boost is almost always a waste of an ability because most of the time you can make a Mega Boost match you could just match the actual pokemon itself, and then once you do mega you have a wasted slot. Additionally, when S ranking difficult stages you'll be using Mega Start, so having trained Mega Boost over something that actually will help in killing it faster will have been a waste. The only time Mega Boost is truly useful is on competitions with no MS, which is why Volcarona is actually helpful since it's also a base 70.
So yes you are right Volcarona is better than Scizor at the moment, but I would not say better than Pinsir 9/10 times.
Mega Boost is actually useful in comps BECAUSE abilities don't activate. You start off with a Mega Boost, or if your combo drops off early enough that you aren't screwed you can match it to get some help. Since you won't be getting abilities that often, it's okay to miss out on a damage ability for it, since that damage increase will come from the long combo. Works better with MB+, Jirachi helped my score on M-Gardevoir a lot.
>why did no one
A few people did, read the thread before asking that.
So I've been thinking: Why does everyone shit on m-gardevoir's possible ability so much? Because its not Mewtwo/Gengar/Blaziken-tier?
Case in point for thinking it will be decent: Lucario. Everytime Lucario activates its ability , the field gets cleared and it will do 1k damage (which IMO is pretty good). It isnt a combo magnet, but that doesn't make the others better; mega's should be selected with the stage disruptions in mind.
Is it because it clears the field horizontaly and not verticaly?
If you are going for the top5 you definitely have to use M-Aero with Arceus maymay team (like the japs see here >>24600285) But dont forget that this strategy will most likely not work if you cant gid gud
If you want the candy go for M-Mawile with Jirachi as it will help you mega evolve. Also do NOT forgot that M-Garde is a bitch and spams dozens of rocks. Do not assume you will get the candy just because you used both items... You still need to get a good combo going and do enough matches...
With all max Mawile Jirachi Dialga Muk I'm top 200, but if you're the anon who only got 26k I'm not sure what to tell you because I would have gotten above that without C-1 so you might just suck
The people shitting on it are butthurt waifufags. The ability will be fine, not as good as the top tier megas but still helpful for clearing disruptions that other megas have trouble handling. For example, Lucario can't do shit to Zoroark, but Gardevoir will make it easy as pie.
