I'm looking to experience games that go beyond a regular controller. How is Sega Bass Fishing with the Dreamcast fishing controller? Does it feel realistic when you get a bite and it pulls? Does the controller fight you kind of like a racing wheel does?
It is highly unlikely you'll run into a key-related problem by now. Keys were mostly used to keep you from playing pirated copies on multiplayer servers. 99.9% of those were probably Gamespy servers, and that service has long since died. You're much more likely going to run into issues with old, incompatible EXEs or fucked up old DRM. Buy the physical media for collections' sake, but you're probably better off pirating for ease-of-use alone.
Hey /vr/, I'm trying to re-learn Spanish. However, no one around me speaks it except for my mom. What're are some RPGs with good Spanish translations, official or fan-made? Figure it'd be a fun way to get back into the language, on top of practicing speaking it.
I heard Dragon Quest 4 had a great official translation. Also see that DeJap has a Spanish translation for Tales of Phantasia.
>>2938676 > Also, why is level 1 music always so damn good and in most cases the best of the game? Because Level 1 is the first level the player ever sees so composers must make good music so player could be wondered what's next in the game because of music too?
>>2938716 Trip World is a perfect example. It's a neat game, but it's not excellent. Pic related is the first thing you see in-game, but it's not filled with consistently top-tier pixel art. Same with the music.
Thoughts on this game? Never played it but it's out on PSN Plus this month. It's downloading now brehs would like a general on it while I go through it. Didn't know that the Full Throttle and DOTT guy made it until literally this moment that I googled pic related for thread picture so I'm kinda hyped.
It was the first NFL/Players* licensed NFL game worth a damn. Therefore, it was fun and hype back then to finally be playing a good football game. Its popularity resurged in recent years due to the amusing novelty of hacking it to include modern teams and players.
It's not a good game, though. I never found it fun to play other than it being an NFL game and me being a football-loving kid. So, taking the subject of the game away from it, yes Tecmo Super Bowl is an overrated game as far as play quality.
*most of the players, anyway. Certain QBs were excluded... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2938351 I agree more or less. I probably had more fun with TB than STB as well.
And yes, hockey games were better. I preferred Nintendo Ice Hockey to Blades of Steel, but BoS was fun in its own way. And the early 90s EA NHL games were my favorite of all sports games. Those have a modern romhack community following too.
Haven't you got the memo? Every game has aged bad. Doesn't matter if it's Symphony of the Night on PS1, Goemon's Great Adventure on N64 or Guardian Heroes on Saturn. They ALL aged BADLY! Like MILK!! XD
