Good gameplay too, one of the better puzzle/platformers (if that's the proper genre name)

I need you guys. I need you guys so bad.. For years now, I have been looking for a game I played as a child.
It must've been for an Apple II or Amiga 500 or something similiar.
It was about rescuing a princess, and I remember running through a cave and a forest. Sort of the old King's Bounty and at the same time King's Quest. PLEASE, help me find this game, I am tired of looking for it..
It could be released a bit before or just around the first Prince of Persia.

Command lines have their charm, but them lazy-ass devs, seemingly unable to fucking grab a thesaurus and implement a decent degree of lexical leeway, aren't much help to make a case for it as a mechanic to be remembered fondly

Oh man this game is so fucking bad. They went fucking crazy after BK and decided to introduce every single gimmick known to man into this game ruining it completely in the process. I don't want to go around as shitty Mumbo who has a grand total of 2 moves (jump and attack), I don't fucking want to play a spastic version of Goldeneye, I don't fucking want to play ungodly minigames that are complete fucking garbage, I don't even want to go around as B with no K or K with no B, I want to play as Banjo and Kazooie in a fucking 3D platformer. I haven't played any Banjo games, but platforms of this era had this problem.

Spyro 1 was pure as fuck, but by 3 every single level was packed with alternate gimmick characters and shitty minigames. Sly 3 did the same thing. It's a horrible trap.
>>
>>3438879
Do you disagree with me? I watched some videos after my emulator froze as I was about to open the second world and it seems like future levels will suffer from the same problems. The game seems riddled with these gimmicks that ruing the flow of the game. All they had to do was make BK again but with more moves and bigger interconnected levels, but they had to go insane with "features" and ruined the game. So far I'm really not liking it.

you're probably hard as fuck on it. i've been using the same controller since 1996 and the stick is just starting to get loose now.
>>
>>3438372
See that black bit on the far right? That's what gets worn down and is most responsible for a loose stick.
>>
>>3438372
Its always these two parts, once they go bad its fucked. There is way to prevent it, but it requires actually working one(by lubricating the white "bowl" part).

All repayments has their own problems(the GC-stick is too sensitive for example, or has same problems as the OEM stick), and the working/good ones are hard to find or expensive, or not out yet(steelsticks64).

Something has always been bugging me about the portrait of the Doctor and his servant in Decapattack:

are they based on real actors?

I thought it was ok. Great graphics and music but the gameplay has its flaws, namely having to level up many different skills separately and it being awkward to try to control three different characters at the same time in an action game.

I actually prefer the first Seiken Densetsu for game boy. Haven't gotten around to any of the others in the series yet, but a lot of people seem to really like SD3.
>>
It's not known for it's excellent programming, the AI and hit detection is honestly not very good. Secret of Evermore improves on these areas.

What Secret of Mana does have is nostalgia, music that makes me cry, nice visuals, and a really emotional and fantastical storyline.

I'd say go at least until you get the first elemental spirit that lets you cast magic, and if you can, go until the forest of four seasons before you decide you don't like it. You haven't even really made it to any of the major boss fights yet, other than the mantis...

A classic question to which the answer is "probably". We have 120v AC (110 in practice) and theirs is only 100v. Most Japanese shit does work off our power. If it starts to get reallyhot to the touch, at that point use your best judgement. It won't hurt your N64 unless it physically melts something just from convection.
>>
I've heard all Jap electronics will work fine but I don't have the balls to try it.

Will it work? Yes.

Is it optimal? Technically, no.

If you have the availability, should you use a console of any region in any country with a power supply belonging to that country? Absolutely.
