Coming from someone who has never played Final Fantasy 9 nor ever really got into Final Fantasy: what is the general consensus of FFIX? I seem to remember back when it was relatively new that people thought it was easily the weakest of the Final Fantasy PlayStation "trilogy", but nowadays it seems like the opinion of it softened and it is now more accepted. I could be totally wrong though, since I never got into Final Fantasy and am basing this on vague recollections of Internet posts from over a decade ago.
>>2928002 It's generally considered one of the best. It blends the production values of the other PS era Final Fantasies with a more traditional setting and leveling/combat system. The characters are each unique but can be customized to a degree.
It did have backlash when it came out, but that's always true for Final Fantasy now. VII and every one caused a shitstorm when it came out.
Hey /vr/ I just got a Model 1 Megadrive today and could use some help.. So I plug everything in where it should be and scan channels. It finds 36 but when I go to play a game all I get is a black screen with a Sega Enterprises message on it and then just a black screen, The quality of the writing that comes on screen doesn't look to sharp either.. Can someone isolate the problem? So far I think it could be the RV cable but I cant be too sure since I haven't had one of these in over a decade..
Using Sharp HDTV and console is plugged into Ariel socket
IIRC the "Licensed by Sega" thing only comes up if the system detects a cartridge in the slot. If no image or sound comes up afterward it's probably either a bad connection between the cartridge and the slot or the cartridge itself is borked.
>>2927762 Yes, Dragon Warrior Monsters is a very legit competitor to Pokemon, and all of the remakes for the Gameboy refresh the games in such a way to make them perfectly accessible without sacrificing what makes the game what it is.
Alright, fuck it. I've been stuck on where to use the bottomless pot for about 4 days now. I talked to the horse and he said to use it in the shallows to the west and it still won't work when I use it in what I assume is the area he's talking about. Can someone point me in the right direction?
If you dick around the ocean between the two big continents you'll come across a big pile of rocks that looks like pic related. Use it there. It should be just about directly south of the tiny strait where the two landmasses almost meet.
Pic related, I begged my parents for this game for weeks before they finally caved in and bought it for me, just thinking about it still makes me feel guilty. I only played it for maybe 10 minutes before giving up and never touching it again. Fuck.
I vaguely remember my Dad saying no and knowing that it was probably garbage because he knew better about TV/Movie licensed games, but they still bought it for me anyway. It makes you realize how much your parents really love you, willing to waste money on a game just to make you happy even while knowing you'll probably never play it again. So many bad games are bought with parents money.
The identity of "Inezh," portraying actress of Jill Valentine in the first Resident Evil game, remains an unsolved mystery among veteran Resident Evil fans. Officially, she was a high school exchange student with no prior acting experience. Mikami regretted having her on board once production started the shoot at the Tama River. "Inezh" frequently complained about the mosquitos and insisted on wrapping things up ahead of schedule. No one knows where she is now, but I'd be mighty interested to hear her reflect... I have question about hooking up a Famicom to a digital TV. I know that the unit cannot be connected directly to the TV, but to an analog proxy such as a VCR. My problem is my room is really small, so I don't have the room to place an enormous VCR deck among all my game systems. Is there anything else smaller than a VCR that I can use to connect the RF switch to?
