FF8 is easily the most exploitable game in the series. As soon as you have a grasp over the junction system and the mechanics for refining spells and items, you can curbstomp everything in the game without grinding for a single level.
Then there's limit break spam. Due to an oversight in how limit breaks are triggered, liberally canceling your turn will grant you infinite limit breaks as long as your HP is at critical.
The setting was pretty cool though. And I liked the Laguna sequences. FF needs more mature characters.
Which of the retro Game Boy models is your favorite?
>Original Game Boy Thick "brick" design, needs four AA batteries, comparatively lower battery life than other models, "puke green" screen, screen is prone to ghosting, white / grayish plastic is prone to discoloration
>Game Boy Pocket Substantially smaller than the original, uses just two AAA batteries, has a larger screen than both the original and Color models, screen is no longer "puke green," comes with or without... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
My gaming resolution is to try to stick as hard to retro games as possible, and really learn and understand more about emulation and older titles. Also, to try keeping a record of what I play so I can stay on track and not just load a ROM, play for two minutes and never do it again.
Also, to see if it's actually possible to play JPN titles with working Japanese knowledge like some anons say. I'm gonna try to play a Japanese (text intensive) game even if I have to sit with a dictionary translating line by line. Hoping that this is a decent way to learn some things.
Got the 5500-5502.bin files in system folder Got my .cue file set up correctly Got mednafen though retroarch Running in admin mode Whenever I try to load a .cue I get "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way"
I'm able to emulate Cube games so pretty sure the problem isn't hardware related.
>There's a new version of Yabause from japanese developper Devmiyax, based on his recent android port uoYabause. This version is a great improvement from original Yabause, on par with SSF and even better on some games.
Richter was totally in the wrong here. Dracula is just sitting in his home minding his own business when some cunt suddenly comes barging in and tells him he's a monster who shouldn't even be allowed to live.
I want to make a NGP reproduction cart, i got a bunch of sports games for cheap, and apparently the cartridge it's just a 40 PIN Roms, no extra mappers or anything in the cartridges. Problem is, i cant find what kind of ROM to use. Any ideas?
>>2887502 8bit parallel, and it has a WE pin which is usually Write Enable, so it's probably not actually a ROM. IIRC the NGPC used Flash, so probably the NGP did too. I can't find any with that same pinout, and I don't know what voltage it needs (maybe you'll need a voltage regulator to reduce the voltage for modern Flash), and I don't know the timing requirements. Look for 8bit NOR Flash.
