>>2885081 >the faster we can force shitty rips out of circulation we have what we have and just because there is something new of something old doesn't mean that's what people have. If good versions of a game are better, they will rise to the top, but telling someone to "download a proper rip" is a pathetic excuse for inherent incompatibility. please go and fuck yourself with this kind of feeble attempt at legitimizing a crappy emulator.
>>2885234 Not the guy you are arguing with, but bin+cue/etc is considered the proper format for PS1 rips. This is because of the number of multi-track games. I use bin+cue when I use epsxe as well, since it supports it. Why would you want to use a sub-par rip?
I hated it for years until someone pointed out that I was controlling it wrong. Don't treat your character like a bipedal person, treat them like a car. B to accelerate, triggers for tight turns, only use the analogue stick for turns, never press up to accelerate, remember it's a car not a person.
It's very misunderstood, I think most people don't understand how to control it and write it off as a result.
This was the last good Mana game. It had beautiful music, the graphics and the atmosphere went hand-in-hand that made you feel like you were playing a painting, but fuck, most importantly it was fun as hell. I just don't know what happened to the Mana series, because LoM was the last time the thunder struck.
So I recently decided to get into the Saturn library, but the used one I bought doesn't read any discs. I tried a few simply tricks like adjusting the laser pot but I'm no hardware guy, so does /vr/ know a reliable place to get a working Saturn? Preferably a JP white one. Is there a place that sells refurbished Saturns?
Also, any tips on basic maintenance / upkeep to hold off the system's demise as long as possible?
I'm planning on using an Action Replay to play NA games on it as I come across them, but my Jap skills aren't too rusty
And got tired of the clunky controls, terrible voice acting, repetitive dialog ("I see" "sailor" like really? people not helping at all) and slow and boring music (only liked the menu theme though) the best part so far is playing those arcade games, does the game get any better?.
