I don't think so. Get a gamepad classic

Can get an attachment on aliexpress by myflash that let's you plug nes and SNES controls into your wiimote

Was about to recommend RetroUSB's Gamecube --> SNES adapters but they've been discontinued apparently. These ones are still available though http://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/snes_to_wii/index.php

>>3575964

I've gone this route previously and it's annoying as fuck having a Wiimote just sitting there draining battery and there was some input lag as I recall too. Always best to have a wired connection.

The use of a bluetooth gamepad is assumed.

This thread is not about whether emulation or gaming on mobile is haram, rather is this type of screen good for this purpose?

Refresh rates on e-ink screens is super slow, so you're going to be looking at a level of blurring and latency that is going to make anything that requires fast reflexes unplayable.

mite b cool for strategy games or RPGs but forget about platformers or action games.

Why they never released the original Final Fantasy III in the west? I know FFII bombed in Japan which is why they didn't localize it and they didn't bother releasing FFV cause FFIV sold like shit in the west

FF1 was kind of a freakshow in the US and FF2 bombed even in Japan so FF3 probably wasn't a priority. Of course we got DS and PSP versions.

They were working on 2 but hit technical difficulties and ultimately preferred switching to the SNES and releasing FF4 closer to its original release date.

Why didn't they complete FF3 for the PS1 after they cancelled the WSC release?

Anyone play retro consoles on LCD TVs? What's your setup?

I don't really have space for a CRT and I'm not fond of them anyway, but I'm getting sick of the picture looking like absolute butt on my HDTV, so I'm considering picking up an upscaler/line-doubler.

It sounds like the two best options at this point are Framemeister or OSSC. Money isn't a huge deal. I'm concerned about input lag and slow 480i switching with the Framemeister, but I'm also concerned about compatibility with the OSSC (people have reported issues with...

I do. I have 5 gaming setups in different rooms and in some having a CRT isn't viable. If you're too poor to afford space for a CRT then you're too poor to afford a mememeister. They add an amount of latency that is completely unacceptable for me.
I use LCDs that have a good game mode. Something that simply multiplies pixels instead of trying to do all kinds of filtering shit. You can get as low as 1 frame lag however the picture will look like a giant hipster pixleshit poster. If you're into pixleshit then then you'll probably love it. If you care mainly about game play it won't bother you. If pixels with sharp edges cause physical pain to your underage eyes then this won't work for you and the only affordable way for you to get a smooth picture without massive lag will be to emulate.
In most cases I transcode the console RGB output to component. I also have a component to HDMI converter that has almost no lag. It's good enough to play fighting games. LCDs that don't handle composite well get paired off with a CRT so everythings playable in that room.
In the living room I have a passive 3D screen that can dual play even from two different SD sources. You can play two player games full screen with no screen peeking amd visible scan lines. Emufags would be jelly.

N64 didn't. Guess why it doesn't exist in Russia.

Same with SNES, Mega Drive got way more popular than it because it had cheaper console/pirated cartridges. And that's despite SNES was hyped by the same guy who sold people on famiclones there. Remember, no one in Russia would pay more than ~$5 for a game at the time.

3DO also came at a time when Russian market was wowed by famiclones and opened up to "bit wars". So it was the tits for some impressionable young people. Surprisingly,...

I remember hearing horror stories of those compressed cards erasing so I've never used one, only went for the 15 block ones.

I've been thinking about playing some RPGs I bought but never got around to, after my first Playstation failed in 2004 (laser fixed multiple times, connectors loosening and resoldered, when the connector to the controllers broke off from the circuit board I gave up).

To be on the safe side I got 3 consoles (2 grey old, 1 white psone) and bunch of controllers.

‘Apple II had a line-up of great adventure games such as Ultima or
Wizardry. Honestly, we adored them and they were our ultimate dream. But this
was not very strategic. We loved these games too much to think about the
consumers’ needs. Then we were stunned by DQ in 1986. Enix assembled the best
staff in the industry and made a maniac game like an RPG more accessible to general
consumers. We just couldn’t believe that they could do this, and we discovered the
actual essence of commercialization.’
