I love people who don't realize that many, many, MANY things are worth substantially less today than they were when they were new. I remember just the other night reading an ad where some guy was talking about how much he paid for some of his laserdisc stuff like it is in any way relevant.
>>2866841 That is, the original guide with additional info, I just discovered another glitch I need to add, you'll be unable to 100% the game if you don't talk to the drimogemon cutting the shortcut to the mountain BEFORE Ogre takes over the drill tunnel, I also need to check if you can the leomon stuff as well
Like all people I like me some light gun games Time Crisis, Virtua Cop, House of the dead, etc., but as CRT isn't an option for me i'm limited to the PS3 and Wii releases (which is a good selection but limited). So i'm looking for emulating on PC and getting a Light gun to use and i'm looking for some advise. I've seen some products online and theres a way to get a Wii remote running so i was going to start there but doess that work just as well as the dedicated products?
How are you supposed to keep cartridges from becoming discolored? I tried Retr0brite, but either I didn't mix it up correctly, or it didn't work.
I've always insisted on buying only cartridges that are in flawless condition, but later down the line, they become discolored anyway. How did the previous owners prevent that from happening to begin with? I don't keep my games exposed to direct sunlight, and it's not particularly hot where I live. In fact, I keep most of my carts tucked away in plastic storage cases, which are then placed in a dark... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

I can understand this mentality if you want a complete collection for a console or your planning on reselling, but honestly I don't really get it if you just wanna play the game. As long as the cartridge is functional, why should it matter if it's a little discolored, or the label has a rip in it or there's stickers/marker on it? If it works, it works. Also maybe I'm weird but I kinda like having carts with someone's name or a sticker... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
looking to get a japanese sega saturn. basically, i'm looking for the japanese equivalent of an ebay or a craigslist where people might be selling things they don't know they have. i'm looking for bargains. can anyone point me in the right direction?
pic related, it's dodonpachi. also, sega saturn thread.
>>2866472 Just get a US Saturn and an action replay or GameShark cartridge. You'll save yourself a few Hamiltons. Then if you want the white shell of the Japanese model, buy a parts only system for peanuts and swap shells. Ta da.
>>2866476 >>2866481 actually i am going to japan. i'll probably pick up the saturn there at a hard off or something. i'm just worried i won't find all the games i'm looking for during my visit, so i'm hoping to find them online.
I'm slowly working on becoming an amateur video game historian. Especially for the cartridge era of the North American market. What does VG know about the video game industry? Newest thing I learned was that Sega almost merged with Namco in the mid to late 90s because both companies we dragging so much ass.
No in-game maps No in-game tips No tips or maps in local gaming magazines (I'm an eurofag and LotW was never released here) No instruction manual No internets to look for FAQs when I got this game No fucking clue on where you are supposed to go or what you are supposed to do in the first place Random exploration only FINAL DESTINATION
Has anyone beaten this motherfucker legitimately without any kind of help I sure didn't... Finally I dare anyone thinking the first Zelda game is cryptic or impossible to beat without guides to try this game out.
This is a bit of a stab in the dark, but does anybody know worthwhile /vr/ roleplaying games that put their emphasis on the roleplaying, and not on the fighting or their own narrative? Games that try to give you NPCs that interact with your character based on, well, your character. Games that not only give you skills, but maybe even traits, that might backfire on you. Games where every action you do, down to what stuff you buy in a shop, what selfless deeds you do, or how long you hesitate to do something heroic, is judged, and influences the game. Games where you genuinely... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
