When making a sprite, keep in mind the following

I prefer Mail's design in that version of the intro compared to the PC-98 one -- the resolution is higher and it has twice as many colors, but the face they gave to Mail isn't that great compared to the other versions imo.

So, I was dicking around with the shaders in retroarch and toggled on bsnes_gamma_ramp.glslp and now every NES title has this god awful red and yellow pallet.

The problem is that I can't make it go away. I've turned the shader passes to 0, reset emulation station, and reset the raspberry pie itself.

What are your thoughts on these early NES games? (1985-1987)

Super Mario Bros. was a classic and I do enjoy playing it to this day, despite it being super simple.

Duck Hunt was a fun game, but I hated the dog.

The Legend of Zelda was a game that I never played until last year. I enjoyed playing it and I do think it's a classic. Another thing I liked about the game was the boss battles, they were fun.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out is my all time favorite NES game. I have beaten Tyson multiple times and I never get tired of it. I thought the graphics...

Damn, I wish i could play PS RE games for the first time again...

Nemesis has always been my favourite, I always prefered the old style with camera angles, inventory system, the chest, and this "bip" when you navigate in your inventory...

I'd love that, but I strongly doubt Capcom would ever go back to formula.

Which is strange. I know that on release REmake wasn't very successful, but it's been re-released several times since 2002. There has to be some demand for this type of game or Capcom wouldn't bother.

I started this up tonight because of this thread. Game was too easy up until the final level where it just became insane. Is it cheating to use autofire in shmups that don't have autofire?
7 replies and 1 images submitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>3557286
Playstation version has auto-fire. Good enough for me.
>>
Someone might say yes. But I would like to point out that lots of shooting games would not benefit from autofire.

In some games you can only fire so many shots before hardware/developer limits kick in and you are incapable of firing until your shot hits or goes off screen. In no way would blowing out shots really fast help in that case.

In other games it might allow you to fire on weak points faster than intended and artificially lower the difficulty.

I say yes to cheating. But not as much as it could.
>>
>>3557286
No, but in many games it's a different experience than playing without autofire, thus they shouldn't be on the same leaderboard. I mean try playing something like Gun Force without autofire, it's almost unplayable

This, I lived in the moment as a kid, I didn't anticipate games that weren't out yet, just the ones I would hopefully get as gifts. I only ever learned about new games and systems when they were on video store shelves.
