All those nights we played.
Totally Worth it!

Why did the Persians have war elephants? They weren't used much after the Sassanids and even for that time the Immortals seem more fitting.
Elephants should have been assigned to Indian and Indochinese empires.
making a AOE2 total conversion using assets from aoe1 doesn't sound that imposile really
but it would probably be classified as piracy, since its technically a mod using stolen assets from a game, even if it's from aoe1 to aoe2....
unless i were to create such total conversion, then use some patching software to create a mod installer that uses aoe1 and aoe2 as source. hummmmmm
but then again, what was so backwards on aoe1?
i recall units didnt auto gather resources after building, no gates, not any ship behaviour options, and for land units no agressive/defensive options
buuuut, there are actually a controversy among historians if romans did even use chariots for war
>Fun > Making sense.
true, but still, zero reasons to play a reskinned aoe2, but in truth its not becasue its more fun, it's just because its star wars themed... go play some dark forces 2 theres even a smalll multiplayer community still alive
>early AoE2 days
>Start online campaign
>Remain absolutely neutral and friendly to all other players while ammassing resources
>Players asking to shift alliances all the time
>Procrastinates in negotiations with the excuse of building up your base and ammassing resources
>actually gunning for the relics since the very beginning
>Building layers of walls guarded by infantry to stall invaders
>ammass all the relics
>Turtle my way through
So good, too bad it only worked on newbies.
sounds like one of the many ways that ensemble envisioned for the game to be played
but also another example of a thing players simply shut off their minds to, in this case with locked teams + pre selecting
i managed to convince some players to play a free for all, no locked anything, i think it was even an odd number of players, one modafuca kept killing off 1 player at a time, while i had been calling the disaster from the mid game, finally with 3 left the other guy agreed to join forces, but too late, loads of fun
Got a few challenges for you people to play:
On the Forgotten, only mass Heavy Cavalries (have 'Sipahi' researched), Hussars, Trebuchets; also add Siege rams and Heavy Camels if needed
Do not create Hand Cannoners, Janissares, Bombard Cannons nor Bombard Towers
Play the second mission Bari campaign on hard, imitate the purple Goth army
Use Cavaliers, Heavy Cavalries, Monks, Bombard Cannons, Onagers, Skirmishers, Hussars.
Use halberdiers and champions, but don't 'Gothic spam' them, keep it under control.
Dont make huskarls.
>Celtic infantry mass
Perform a Drush (Dark age Rush), or a Man-At-Arms rush
In case of booming, amass a massive army of woad raiders and sent them to raid
Add Siege Rams with garrisoned woad raiders if desired; use this tactic against mass archers
No archers, No Cavalry, No trebuchets nor Mangodels/Onagers/Siege Onager
In a water map, create amassive float of Demolition ships; if facing a massive War galley/Galleon navy; add fire ships to cover the demo ships
If in case of a Castle, tear it down with Cannon Galleons.
Abstent to create Galleys/War Galleys/Galleons
>Jihadist 'Allahu Akbar' Saracen
Mass only Camels and Mamelukes (and their elite counter-parts)
Only use petards to take out defensive buildings
You may use monks. Any other unit is forbidden.
As Franks, abstent to use heavy cavalry line at all.
Castle drop and mass Throwing Axemen, you may use any other unit.
>Camel happy Indian
Only mass camels as indians; destroy whole cities with Imperial Camels
In a water map, only mass fire ships.
The use of galleys, demo ships are forbidden.
Play as Incas
While only using Longbowmen and halberdiers; amass trebuchets and actively use them to snipe units (such as Onagers and Bombard Cannons), research 'Warwolf'
>Teuton Armored division
With 'Ironclad' researched, send a massive army of Siege Rams with Elite Teutonic Knights garrisoned inside
Add a considerable amount of Archers to your Spaniard Army
>Spanish Cannon Galleons of doom
In a water map, only mass Elite Cannon galleons; any other water unit is forbidden.
Only create eagle warriors, amass shittons of monks and actively use them.
Any other unit is forbidden.
Anyone here play on Voobly? Ended up trying after HD was too laggy for one of my friends
>start a game with some randoms on the lowest ranked lobby
>my poor ragged anus
Never again. Think I'll remain a scrub thank you very much.
Anyone else found the forgotten campaigns to be extremely shit?
They are scripted as shit and the AI strategy is just to outproduce you. The York scenario is the best one in the entire game though.
I do really good against friends who've played as long as me, but I don't play online because every time I do, I end up facing some dickhead that runs villagers over to build walls around my resources. Sure I could do it too, but it just seems ridiculous for this lone villager to walk to an enemy encampment carrying tons of materials to construct a wall faster than people can tear it down.
I wrote it on another thread but I think it's a nice memory to share with other fellow AoE2 players.
>younger me, high school
>have 2 two hour computer classes with the same teacher
>he doesn't gives a shit
>he just does the roll call and flees to the teachers room next door
>be left in groups of eight for 4 hours straight at the computer rooms
>pcs are lan connected
>AoE 2 madness begins.bat
This situation held on for 2 years and a half.
We had lots of epic huge battles, mostly free for all and 4vs4.
I remember this particular match in which 6 players were left with only 6 o 7 military units each, with the map fully revealed and we tried to kill each other for like one hour on a map that was pretty much a maze due to all the fallen walls.
>Post your Strategies
Celts (Black forest maps only) - get to the imperial age asap, get out 40 upgraded scorpions (forgot the name) to guard your front gate, meanwhile have a couple of siege orangers tunnel through the side forest to the side of the enemy base and send in 80+ fully upgraded paladins through the passage.
Works well but I don't really find the strategy very fun, tbh.
Chinese - Rush imperial age asap, start spamming Chu-ko-nu like it's going out of style and spend everything else I have on spamming Elite Skirmishers.
Works well and pretty fun seeing arrows coming in a stream as if out of a fire hose.
Goths - HUSKARLS
Makes you into a cocksucker but I love it.
>>send in 80+ fully upgraded paladins through the passage.
>>start spamming Chu-ko-nu like it's going out of style and spend everything else I have on spamming Elite Skirmishers.
>What are Siege Onagers
To be fair, the typical huskarl massing Goth is quite easy to counter
Just mass Hussars, Hand Cannoners and Mamelukes; bam, dead goth
search for "userpatch" instead (or just install voobly)
you're right in microsoft not deserving our shekels, check archive index for other aoe2 threads, theres no HD, userpatch is a player-made fix for running in HD resolutions
and forgotten is a free mod avaiable at aok.heavengames.com
voobly.com its the player run zone.com replacement, a thousand ppl playing on peak hours
>Saracen (me) vs Korean RLM match
>Knowing that Koreans are one of the most OP on imperial age, I decide to scout rush him
>Somewhat effective, he's really alerted, harassed and stalled his economy for a while
>He gets to castle, so I get to castle too
>Pull out Cavalry Archers, kill a few villagers and stale his economy again
>He pulls his own cavalry archers (lel, mine were fully upgraded), but also mangodels
>Send a wave of Light cavalry, killed all CAs and mangodels, but pikemen rejected the raid
>Place 5 docks on the river
>Spam war galleys
>Get to Imperial
>Get Galleons, Chemistry and Bracer asap
>He tries to castle the cross
>Get Cannon Galleons
>Literally fence him away from the shores with a massive fleet of Galleons and Cannons Galleons
>He starts to starve on wood due Cannon Galleons denying his villagers
>Now it's a matter of time
>15 minutes after, a whole army of Hussars, Elite Mamelukes, Hand Cannoners, Trebuchets, with Bombard Cannons and Monks assault his base; 4 relics pumping mad gold
>Impaled War Wagons
>Bombarded Siege Onagers
>Riddle an entire legion of halberdiers
>He keeps massing trash, but a massive horde of mamelukes literally mow him down
Yes, best feeling I got in a long while
Fuck the Koreans
u sure u didnt get some ripped version, check for a setup.bat in game folder.
the only incompatibility is color and resolution, so just redownload a full game instead of shitty rip, or better, isos
age2 music was regular redbook audio CD format, u played with the CDrom on the tray
just convert / download soundtrack as mp3, and load it on XMplay or AIMP, for 2 examples of slim players, both have options for global hotkey, set "PLAY/PAUSE" to you keyboard's pAUSE-BREAK button
as soon as you start the matches hit the music,
fags who will launch from outside application's game room into the AOE native lobby without confirming everuone is ready
just wastes everybodys time, in case of AFK kick, because on the outside matchmaking software the game is on, even worse, players who are waiting for +1 to come, cant do anything if in fullscreen, either waiting like a moron or becoming the AFK scum themselves
>Saracen vs Aztec match
>We are friends, we know each other strategies
>Try to scout rush him, but he already has lancemen and skirmishers out, to counter my light cavalry and cavalry archer rushes

>Mass infantry against him
>Longswordmen cuts through his eagles, whole being backed up by a massive archer fire
>Rekt his Elite Skirmishers and Pikemen
>He tries to pull out his own archers, but light cavalry does the job
>Castle drop as the final blow
When the game forces you to think outside the box
You must think outside the box
Also, I believe the aztec has THE most powerful trash spam on this game
Specially on the forgotten
Honestly I loved AoE 3. Make sure to get the Improvement Mod, it adds back in AoE 2-style victory conditions, like monopolising trade routes.
Say what you will about home cities, but stuff like trains, villages, explorer parties, mercenaries and forts really change up the formula for the better. Also there are way more differences between the individual civs (especially the Natives and Asians).

much love for one of the best games ever made.
So what's a good way to get AOEII + expansions anyway? I was gonna pick it up on GOG until I realised they don't list it.
I could just install it from the disc in the drawer to my right or something but I've not opened my DVD rom drive in half a decade and have no plans to start now.
It's absolutely 100% worth it for the Steam Workshop and the integrated multiplayer. The graphic changes mostly aren't too jarring, and there are mods to fix shit like the awful new Blingee water and fire graphics. Get it, no reason not to.
>playing it the way we enjoyed, contra the way you learn from effective vs. charts
Shit, you're right, we were doing it wrong all the time. Call the authorities. Who gets to have fun now-a-days.
Thank you for pointing something that was absolutely clear to everyone who was in this thread. You get one internet point.
Lurk more / read the posts before enlightening us with common knowledge.
Not like there are many other options for a themed expansion. The only continent* left uncovered is Oceania and they've barely had any civilization to speak of in the game's timespan let alone one that could conceivably coexist and compete with the already represented ones. Even though there are some other major historical empires I'd still like to see in the game - like the Khazars, Indochinese kingdoms like Khmer or Vietnam or something like the Portuguese or Poles-Lithuanians (though Slavs seem to cover the latter).
Because they don't fit periodically and we basically don't know anything about their civilizations and lifestyles before the far tail end of AoE 2's timespan. The Iroquois Confederation could probably fit very very narrowly but the popular conception of history associates the Native Americans with a later period of history.
That'd be pretty gud. Then again don't forget that AoE 2 is supposed to cover like a millenium of history so splitting up the Teutons and Vikings may create even more consistency problems. Wasn't there also a mod for all the different German duchies, Switzerland and such?
>Fighting against a archer-massing maya

That was one shameful defeat
Thank me later
Alright let's do this
Spanish. Cheap Blacksmith upgrades, god tier monks, great castle aggression in conquistadors and two "unique units" in the Cannon Galleon with ballistics
I really like spamming monks and converting everything, especially since it's a minus one for your enemy and plus one for you
I really like Gold Rush and Team Islands
I'm a booming kinda guy. But I also like turtling aggression by advancing and building castles around resources
Spanish. Conquistadors are the best unit in the game tbqfwy (to be quite frank with you) and their Castle Age is generally amazing with a good knight rush, great monks and many all-round opportunities thanks to the blacksmith bonus
Slavs. Boyars are simply amazing, essentially teutonic knights if they didn't were slow as shit. Besides their tech that gives infantry splash damages makes them arguably the best infantry civ in game. Also cheap siege makes for diverse armies. Also I really like how their buildings look.
Boyars, they don't fuck around
Probably Black Forest, I also really like Regicide games
Drush then full boom
>Hey cool an AEO2 thread, I'll play a bit since I've not played in years
>Pick the york scenario of the forgotten battles
>Kill green just fine
>"hey this is pretty fun"
>Time for yellow
>Spams paladins, woad raiders, cavalry archers and elite skirmishers with defensive trebs / siege CONSTANTLY
>3 hours later, barely any progress
What the flying fuck do I do?
Just tested it, the clock is moving about 2 seconds for every 3 that pass because of constant lag spikes. Defending / doing anything is near impossible since my view either doesn't move or zooms past whatever it is I'm trying to look at, or just trying to do anything in general is a pain.
The HD version looks good and I'm interested in getting it on steam
when a sale happensbut not if this lag keeps making things unplayable; I just don't know what the root cause is.
It might just be my system being a shit or I've fucked up how you're supposed to run it, I've genuinely no idea.
thepiratebay dot gd/torrent/12045181/Age_of_Empires_2_HD__amp__The_Forgotten_v4.0
You give it a shot and see what happens, if you get lag too then I know it's the crack or we're both idiots, if you don't get it then it's just me and I have to fix my shit, not that I have any idea what needs fixing exactly.
So is there no sticky for AoE II threads or something?
>What medium are you using to connect to other AoE II players?
>Preferred guides to getting gud?
>Q&A / FAQs for newbies?
>Glorious monk memes?
Saracens, awesome tech tree, I can always use different strategies on different opponents; Mamelukes are plain badass, they can actually rekt anything that is not a Castle or a Teutonic Knight; but every Mameluke death hurts deeply inside my heart
Also: Siege Onager + Bombard Cannons = GG
Followed closely by Heavy Camel, Hand Cannoner, Siege Onager, Bombard Cannons and Monk
Highland, Mongolia, Scandinavia, Lombardia, Rivers, Yucatan, Continental, Team Islands.
Depending on the scenario and the enemy; I'm inbetween Feudal age Scout rush, Castle Age Cavalry Archer rush, Castle Age Light Cavalry rush; or plain booming
I haven't gone near the online setting, was happy enough to just do an 8 player match in the black forest with 7 CPUs in 2 teams. I doubt it would work in online outside of hamachi or similar however.
>Oh God the enemy Saracen is spamming War Galleys! They are taking down my own fleet!

>Wait, where are my fireships?

'Fuck you Demo ships are OP, you micro sucks, go play on Normal Speed on Arabia, me as Huns, I will destroy you, you little lifeless noob'
I know people in this game likes to play Arabia a lot, but I did not know they were utterly brainless on water maps
It reached the point it's no more amusing, but just sad and lame.
i already have a playable pirated copy but i wanted one i could do mulitplayer with
the lag spikes are normal if you are playing on a large map with max players, the game is simply not that optimized, play with less
This game was my entire childhood. Its really hard to put into words what this game was to me because as a kid who struggled with social interactions when I was literally like 6 this was the most amazing thing ever. I used to slide down slides pretending I was shooting arrows like the archers in the game and a majority of my time was spent playing this game in my basement at a very very early age. To give you a perspective, I used to have to call my dad over, who worked at home in the same basement I was playing the game in, to type in cheat codes when I was learning because I couldn't even do that. Fucking cheesesteakjimmies manneeee. Anyways I can remember in exact detail what the computer I used back then looked like running like windows 98. (that might be off but it was old) and I would sit there for hours and just play and play and play. People later in life would say "Civilization is better" and Id immediately take their fedoras and light them on fire because as far as I was concerned this shit was holy material. Im serious I used to live this shit when I was young brings back the memories heavy. So glad I saw this thread. Moral of the story don't get a mac for college even if they tell you to because now I can't play that gold.
>the lag spikes are normal if you are playing on a large map with max players, the game is simply not that optimized, play with less
Where the fuck is the fun with that? The original didn't have any problems with m,ax players and tons of units
going by memoryso why should the "improved" remastered edition introduce problems with it?
I like big crazy games with lots of units, this is honestly gonna hurt my desire a lot in buying the game, especially since I've a pretty nice PC with ton of ram and stuff, shouldn't be suffering that sort of problem.
>eh i dont really have a problem, maybe you should just try a diffrent torrent?
I don't mind just outright buying the game on steam, hell I plan on doing that anyway, just as long as I'm certain that I won't have lag spikes every 2 seconds, even if I were to play the largest map with 8 players and 500 units per side or whatever.
I guess Genghis Khan or just the basic William Wallace one, I've not tried the ones from the HD version yet.
All the campaigns involved civs I didn't like at all so they were hard to get into, with the Mongols being the most tolerable.
The Portuguese are pretty much a given for the African expansion, since they said that out of the 5 new civs, 2 of them will be non-africans that interaced with Africa a lot. Besides, theres a european looking king on the cover of the expansion
>I always fuck up my timing with builds
Always have gather a whole handfull of wood if you plan to archer rush, with some gold miners
>i'm awful at scouting the map
Hotkey your scout, control + (numrber) and your unit will hotkeyed, next time you select your unit(s) or buildings will be selected automatically
If you have HD the Forgotten, I can help you improving a little bit
I'm playing right now
This honestly reminds me of my middle school years. When we were in the computer class and we were done with our work we'd play the age of empires 2 demo. We honestly didn't know how to play at all, but I was the best in my class simply because I played way more rts then the rest of my peers.
I was (and still am) a big RTS guy, the difference of why I cant really relate to you is because all my schools buddies were not into RTS, but into Counter Strike and PES/FIFA/genericsportshitgames
I didn't mind Counter Strike, but I got nobody to share my RTS fetish
Which is kind of sad, really.
Right now none of my friends like rts at all. Instead i just play ass faggots with them because that's the only thing they can get into.
I think its just the fact that its very intimidating for people and they just refuse to learn how to play it.
Meanwhile fightan games are still popular and casual still play and eat em up.
Dont blame them, RTS games are fairly hard to learn and master
My favorite game is Starcraft, and it took me a long goddamm time to be decently good, and still korean players totally rekt my shit
Okay little grasshopper, here a few lots of things you must learn and pick up
>Scout your enemy, check if he's trying to rush you; or if he's trying to boom/turtle; decide what to do with that in mind
>Be sure to wall your base, no holes, pay attention for holes, use units to check for holes
>Scout your enemy some more
>Avoid massing just 1 type of unit, they tend to be easy to counter
>Keep in mind that you must balance your resource gathering; No wood means no farms, no farms means no food, no food means no villagers and units; no more villagers means a stalled economy, stalled economy = gg
>If you gonna hunt deers, always try to drop a mll in the middle of the herd
>Scout your enemy
>Look for relics, every golden coin is worth it in the late game
>Create multiple Town Centers (TCs), build them next to your resources (aka: next to a forest, next to a Gold mine, next to a Stone mine)
>Scout your enemy
>Dont stop creating villagers, every second your TC is idle the enemy will take advantage over you (this is averted if you're saving food for a rush, but it's a really risky move)
>If you're getting attacked, garrison villagers inside TC; wall off your gathering villagers with buildings, towers do help too
>Set Lancemen and Skirmishers in defensive stance to guard resources
>Scout your enemy
>If you're not 'Castle Dropping', make sure to build your castle next to vital resources, so they can't get raided easily
>Petards, Rams and Mangodels excells on sieging a base, tho you will need plenty of rams and petards to destroy a castle; dont send mangodels against castles.
>Did I already said 'Scout your enemy'? You should do that.
Guys on ggn, which do I download? The HD version doesn't have LAN but obviously looks pretty much better, but there's like a fuck ton of game updates v2.0-4.5 and I wonder if I shouldn't just download the internal GGn release of the original AoE2 so I can enjoy multiplayer.
What's your take?
>Experience the HD edition's new AI for the first time
Not sure how I feel about this, sure it's very strong but at the same time it doesn't really do anything other than defending. Just played a 3 hour RM game with an AI partner and it just sat in its base the entire game and only came out to kill enemies that were right on the doorstep. It's not really very fun when your partner leaves everything to you or you never have to defend you base because they never attack.
>>Be sure to wall your base, no holes, pay attention for holes, use units to check for holes
Pros don't wall their bases.
Everything else is advice that someone who plays against Normal CPUs would come up with to tell to total casuals as if it's something revolutionary.
>Pros don't wall their bases.
The viper doesnt wall!
Yeah, who needs those stupids walls anyways?
It's not like I'm gonna get drushed, or feudal rushed, or tower rushed?
Yeah, who does that anyways?
Hah! Walling, how Silly; right?
Kindly kill yourself
And because the Viper says so you will give the enemy a chance to rush you?
What if the Viper says to delete your TC as soon you start every game?
Sure thats crazy, but the Viper said that, he must be right.
There is no reason to not wall with buildings or palidase, to prevent an early rush from fucking up your eco; it doesnt matter if you're rushing yourself; if for some reason the enemy attacks back you will be glad that wall bought you enough time to get a few pikes to save a TC and your vills.
Okay. little Grasshopper; you must keep up with your training, also:
Know yourself, know the Britons
Know me, know the enemy, know the Saracens
Finally, know the game.
Take your time, that's a lot of information.
There is no reason to not wall.
Jesus fuck why the AoE2 sucks the 'pro players' dicks so much?
I know I know, they are 'pros' for a reason, and they deserve to be listen since they commentary are based from sheer experiencie and 'skills'.
But you seriously are THAT brainwashed to believe EVERY word they say? You lack that much of own opinion?
What if a pro says to 'kill yourself; will you kill yourself, just because a pro said so?
Oh, you mean 'Stone Wal'?
No, generally I dont Stone Wall, and it's not really important.
What I meant is to make a blockade with buildings and palidase to prevent early ages rushes.
Stone walls are somewhat good defenses, but Castles are way better, in terms of stone investment
If you're not a mayan or a chinese, you shouldnt bother with Stone Walls to be honest.
And yes, Stone Walls can be a waste if the enemy sends 2 or 3 petards and then a horde of knights pours in.
But buildings blockade is way more important.
>I meant this thing, is it even still relevant for HD?
Sorta. The same techs are around, though the Forgotten Empires mod grew into an official expansion so every civ at least now has two techs each and there's more civs.
Wonder what the upcoming not-retro expansion may add for everyone
>Try to move my scout cavalry more than 6 inches through a group of loosely placed single trees
>It veers off to the right, can't find a way through, tries left, gives up
>Forcefully move it through the center a tiny bit at a time until it walks through the obvious gap
Just the normal pathfinding in AOEII (was playing HD but I doubt it makes a difference). Scenarios with forests of individual trees loosely spread around are hell, some parts are worse than others.
The second Goth mission comes to mind.
I remember when retards on here got mad when normies found 4chan memes on tumblr and started using them. Now we are taking normie memes off tumblr and using them. Good job, everyone is retarded.
Anyone got any links to recommended guides and whatnot explaining the game?
Not new to RTS but new to AoE2hd. I played the demo on the zone a few times but didn't get into it. I was a Quake2, Brood War, and Rogue Spear guy back then.
Why exactly do I need you to believe me? RM, difficulty set to hardest, the old AI builds walled forts followed by throwing waves of troops at the enemy, the new AI / my ally just sat in his base with units and buildings scattered all over it but never actually left his base to do anything as none of the enemies spawned close enough to him.
>Unless you're playing on a no-rush map
What the fuck are you on about. I'm starting to think you need to re-read the original post or something.
I've played several games now with the new AIs on a few different map types and this is especially true on bigger map sizes. The new AIs, for me, are wasps' nests i.g. big, angry and aggressive but only to things that are within arm's distance of it and are immediate threats. Anything outside of that radius may as well not even exist unless one of their buildings or units gets too close for their comfort.
The most prominent example I had was on a 'rivers' map with 3 allies and 4 opponents on the LudiKRIS map size. My plan was to wall off all the shallows between our side with fortified walls, gate and bombard towers to defend against any attack, but an hour or two later I just quit out because the only things either side had sent into enemy territory were one or two scouts and each was happy to just sit at home doing their own thing. They were basically NEET ais.
Guys I need help desperately.
How do I remove all subscriptions from my game at once? It says I have "none" in Steam but whenever I start AoE 2 it says it's loading some fucking mods.
This shit just won't go away from my mod list:
0 "original resource icons" 1 Yes No 0 0 76561197994517404 435500595
1 "Enhanced Blood For Forgotten" 2 Yes No 0 0 76561197994517404 438071905

The AoE2 community is still strong. African Kingdoms (Age of Empires Official expansion) is going to be released this season and will resurrect the dead. Also, ZeroEmpires and Resonance22 do weekly and sometimes daily live casts of the game, we are in the middle of The Empire Collective cup tournament as well and you can tune into that on Twitch.
Is there a list of checkpoints to hit for a good early game? Like;
2 villagers on wood 3rd builds a house, produce villager
Start hunting with it, produce more until 5 villagers hunting (8 villagers total
Produce more villagers for wood and gold
Research feudal age at 16 population
Or whatever, that sort of thing. I used to have a reasonably good idea about this, over 12 years ago. Now I just died like a bitch to the CPU 4x in a row because I can't remember what to do for the best results.
[Help me git gud]
[Can't git gud]
Lot's of practising my little grasshopper
You need to know when a rush is a viable strategy, and when it's advisable to just boom
And for fucks sakes use ide villager buttom It shatter my emotional integrity when I see an idle villager at the very begining of the game, for more than 3 fucking minutes
>Decide to join a 'Western Europe Diplomacy' game
>Head to Middle east because I'm playing as green Saracens and sandniggers live in Middle east
>Right before I land on Middle east, yellow was coming right behind me
>'Green stop following me or you die', while I was building up my TC
>He sees my TC going up
>'omfg I told you to not follow me now you die noob'
>Tower him, archer rush him followed with a Scout raid, deny his fishing income with galleys; eco completely stallled
>'fuck u i will destroy you scrub'
>Got him pinned down, almost ready to advance Castle age, when suddenly:
>'[yellow] advanced to the Castle age'
>He starts pumping fire galleys from the fucking denied docks
>He builds a castle and a few stables
>I hear the attacking warning
>I got raided by teal mongol Mangudais and red french knights
>'hahahaha get fucked you stupid scrub'
>All vills dead, TC destroyed
>Teal: 'Sorry man, but gg'
>Yellow: 'hahaha told ya you would die if you follow me hahah fucking noob'
>Shortly after he got railed by a purple Hun, and nobody came in his aid
>'Fuck you purple you r a fucking noob face me 1vs1'
What bothers me is not the fact that I got literally '1vs3', it's called 'Diplomacy' for a reason.
But what irks me is that there is always a shitter, shitting up the game; and when I'm taking him out, people always come to help him.
Why would you help the noisy, vulgar, memespewing player? Can't you see I'm trying to do something benefical for the game?
Why always, when I try to do my own business, disturbing nobody, a retard comes in and ruin my plans.
>Start game of AOEII with computers on hardest
>4 hours (ingame) later, find after much testing that I literally cannot beat the CPU's unit spam
>Even spamming fully upgraded elite skirmishers vs one of the CPU's elite Mangudi with loads of archery ranges and a hill advantage, they overwhelm me with numbers and instantly re-max faster than I'm able to do so
>Eventually run out of 30000 food while spamming reduced cost skirmishers, more Mangudi still destroying me
How the fuck are you supposed to beat the CPU's infinite spam works?
Typically I would call you a faggot
But almost every Diplomacy games has tints of Roleplay
I dont really mind roleplay if it actively promotes diplomacy, communication and war
But I lost my shit when someone tries to be a 'Peaceful farming town' in a corner of the map
Is that you?
I would add you, just to 1vs1 me and utterly stomp you; just because the amount of memes you spew on your profile
Then maybe I will feel bad about you and try to actually teach you how to play the game.
But that 1.3 tells me that you're not even intrested.
I'm really bitter when it comes to teaching new players They always stop playing without even telling me, leaving me talking alone
I would like to play in team just to go over 1600 rating because if you play without a party and team strategy you would lose.
I'm a noob and would like to play with other noobs or everages. %%http://steamcommunity.com/id/telegraphist%%
>you use him as an oppertunity to destroy a better player
This niggerfaggot was about to attack me regardless of what I was about to do
There was no chance I could use his idiotic ass to get a rid of, say, teal or red.
>thier only use is that they blow up buildings very fast, for those moments when you cant be bothered to siege
I use them as frecuent as possible, if the opponent has stone walled, it means he's booming
2 petards (3 in case of Fortified wall, or Byzantine Stone wall; even 4 for a Byzantine Fortified Wall) and rush in Cavalry Archers and Light Cavalry to spread havok in the town
Other strategy is to make a decoy, if the enemy has units actively defending his town, distract his units away from the TC; while both parties are fighting, send 7-8 petards under his TC and detonate them at the same time
Send a raid of Light cavalry, Knights or Cavalry Archers to kill as many vills as possible
High chance of ragequit, too.
Petards also excells at defending a castle, make 2 petards inside the castle; put the gathering point on an enemy battering ram that is attacking your castle.
As soon they pop out from the castle:
You will have 1, or multiple rams destroyed
Franciscas were a real thing.
They're somewhat out of place in the later ages but franlky that applies to other units like the berserker or woad raiders or the Goths as a whole.
I think the Persian elephants are out of place. Elephants were used by Indians and SEAns but not medieval Persians.
I think associating the Franks with the later kingdom of France is wrong. The French are descendants of Celts/Gauls and some Romans who just happened to have Frankish kings for a while. They didn't make the British Wikings or French just for the Normans either.
Franks are still alive in the German state of Bavaria.
What if Petards are not actually Allahu Akbars but the fact that they disappear simply means that the engineer who was carrying the bombs is out of bombs so he is no longer a factor on the battlefield?
If I got the original AoE 2 Gold Edition CD, how do I play online? Says some shit about dialup, but I got a modem.
You know, some men, call them soldiers or whatever you want; were prepared to die for their country, religion or culture; giving your life in the battlefield could be seen as a great honor for your nation
Tho in real life people try to minimize unnecesary human casualties, I really think a man would immolate himself, by his own explosives, if that means tear down an enemy fortication; and if that ensures the victory of his nation.
Keep in mind, that a mediaval siege engineer, while heavily armored, would be taking heavy arrow fire, and mostly be mortally wounded by the time he reaches the fortification; too slow to run away from the explosives, will die regarless he survives the explosion or not, by his wounds; and probably the fortification defenders will be already alarmed, that meaning the explosives should be detonated as soon as possible, leaving no time to 'set the bomb and run', plus if the engineer leaves bomb alone, another enemy soldier could arrive and axtinguish the detonating fire; resulting all his struggle in vain.
See the Mongol last mission, listen to the 'Sabouteours' quote.
Definitely its soundtrack!
So why isn't the Spanish talked about more? They're never mentioned when talking about the best Civs, but man they're so good.
>Halberdiers and champions
>Paladins with Bloodlines
>Okay their archers suck but one of few (only?) disadvantages
>ALL THE DOCK TECHNOLOGIES
>Higher HP, fast building villagers discourages raiding
>ALL THE BLACKSMITH TECHNOLOGIES (and they don't cost any gold either)
>Conquistadors is simply THE BEST castle age units in the game
>ALL THE MONASTERY TECHNOLOGIES (also if playing Forgotten HD they have THE best monks in the game)
>Not one, not two but THREE unique units (Conquist, Missionary, Cannon Galleon w/ Ballistics)
>Arguably the best Team Bonus in the game, trading for days
>the most overpowered
>the most underpowered
>the most culturally enriched
>welcoming to transwomen
> the best at destroying petards?
Exactly. The Spanish are one of the top-tier civs.
Spanish is a good civilization.
But Saracens also good
>Tanky Heavy Camels and awesome Mamelukes; enemy cavalry will get literally annihiliated
>Siege Ram, Siege Onager and Bombard Cannon; what else you need?
>Decent infantry with only lacking of Halberdiers; Mamelukes fills the anti-cavalry role anyways
>Complete Archer line, with also adding +2 anti-building damage for Saracen/allied Foot archers and +4 anti-building damage for Saracen Cavalry archers
>Decent Cavalry line, with only lacking of cavalry (Let's be honest, if you're using heavy cavalry as Saracens, then you are playing Saracens wrong)
>Good monks, even with 33 gold returning tech, makes the death of monks while Smushing/Healing mamelukes less punishing
>5% buy/sell fee at the market from the very begining
>The second best naval civ (You know which civ is the best naval civ)
>Fast firing Galleons, Elite Cannon galleons; Heavy demolition ships, market bonus to boost your eco
Tho I admit Saracens team bonus really sucks
Also, most of the best/worst civs are listed for 1vs1 potential
Meaning the most ebin 'Rush or die lelelelele' civs like Mayans, Aztecs and Huns will be all piled on the top
While Turks, Saracens, Koreans, Spanish, etc; one of the best imperial-age civilizations are all piled on the bottom
Which, in my sandnigger opinion, is really fucking retarded.
>Warwolf gives British trebuchet splash damage
>Also gives a hidden 100% accuracy
So is this some sort of replacement for the lack of Bombard Cannons?
This is telling me that Britons should use Trebuchets are some sort of long-range anti-personel siege engine; which is really hard since it's not automatic, but when you think about it, killing a bunch of archers in tight formation with a trebuchet stone sounds... really orgasmic.
>best late game imperial civ
This gotta be a joke, they have literally nothing other than the gold bonus that makes them better than others / gives them an edge.
Civs like the Japanese are much better because they have that 25% (=33%) faster infantry attacking bonus which is a huge advantage over anything the Turks get.
As Saracens, here is how every game proceed against a Japanese
>Japanese masses halberdier
>I mass Hand Cannoner
>He adds Skirmishers
>I add Onagers
>He adds Light cavalry/cavalier
>I por a few mamelukes
>He adds his own Onagers
>More Bombard Cannons
>He starts to make Trebuchets
>Even more Bombard Cannons
In every game I play, there is a certain moment of the match which it descend who has and who does not has Bombard Cannon
Weeabos are a good civ, dont get me wrong; but the lack of Bombard Cannon and Siege Onager just kills it.
>implying every game gets to Post-Imperial Age
>especially as shit-racens vs Strong Nihongo Master Race (Miyamoto Musashi was the strongest and most skilled swordsman who ever lived!!
he definitely didn't just copy some random no-name Portuguese sailors technique when he watched them spar with sword and dagger, something completely mundane in Europe at the time ayy lmaoalso this is pretty much the reason why Japan was closed off to Westerners for so long - because they got so butthurt that they were completely rekt, including their 'samurai' and 'noblemen' by a comparatively tiny amount of Nanbans
>Superior muslims vs ARIGATOSENPAIKAWAIIUGUUIMUASHANAGASAKIHARAKIRIHIROSHIMA people
>Implying you wont get fucked by a Saracen Archer/Scout rush using the market trade bonus
>Implying you wont get converted to gommunist islam due a Smush
Spirit plz, go home
The mamelukes are here to stay
>>he definitely didn't just copy some random no-name Portuguese sailors technique when he watched them spar with sword and dagger, something completely mundane in Europe at the time ayy lmao also this is pretty much the reason why Japan was closed off to Westerners for so long - because they got so butthurt that they were completely rekt, including their 'samurai' and 'noblemen' by a comparatively tiny amount of Nanbans
Is this true? You got my curiosity.
Is this true? You got my curiosity.
Yes it is. It's not something you hear often in popular history documentaries in TV because "muh mystical japanese samurai" and the Katana Kultists (aka weaboos). Even after they stole some babby's first steps / basics of swordsmanship from the Nanbans, Samurai's weapon order was still: 1) bow and arrow (preferably on horseback too) 2) naginata/polerarms 3) if all else fails use your katana and hope for the best or just run away. It all just goes back to the lack of quality steel to make real swords to begin with. Even if you have a real quality katana, you can literally shatter it to pieces if you don't swing it properly (="like a fishing rod").
Well, Stereotypical warriors can give people a de-informate a lot
As far I recall, heavy cavalry, such as charging knights, used spears to impale the enemy, rather than using swords
Mamelukes were actually horsemen; and they used spears, scimitars, bow and arrow, and; near the Napoleonic era, used a few guns (1 shot pistols to be exact)
Persians did actually use Elephants, but not that much; Persians did make use of heavy cavalry, and quite a lot; we can say that the Cataphract has Persian/middle eastern originals rather than Roman origins.
And many etcs.
>Start playing AoE2
>Haven't really got a hang of the combat advantages/disadvantages yet, so just spam units
>Get to the Jerusalem siege in the Saladin campaign
>I'm bad, really bad, but I manage to hold the walls of my base enabling me to hold out for hours in real time.
>Take so long that between us, the AI and I strip-mine the entire area and there were no more resources left on the map.
>Have a reasonable stockpile, realize that I might be in trouble if I can't think of anything soon
>Remember the (two?) relics which are in AI buildings
>Get the relics through focused attacks, giving me a supply of gold to buy resources and build troops while leaving the AI with nothing
>mfw I won by starving the AI to death
Keep in mind that projectiles goes directly to the center of the target.
Knowing that a castle is a 4x4 size building, and my guess is that Warwolf gives a maximum of 2x2 size splash damage radius, then no; no unit adjacent to a castle (probably) won't get splashed
But Towers, Outposts and Walls are another story; since they are 1x1 size buildings, they are smaller than the actual splash damage radius of the Briton trebuchet, if an unit happens to be next to any of these buildings while being sieged by a Briton trebuchet, my guess is all of these units will get 'splashed' and 'flattened'
I also happened to cut a forest with British trebuchets a few days ago; and the difference between the forest cut by a Warwolf is very noticiable, compared to a regular trebuchet.
You know what this means, right?
Any good British player can just spam trebuchets, longbowmen and halberdiers and literally snipe you with hundreds of arrows and flying flaming stones
In one shot you can clear whole tight archer formations or take out multiple siege engines with enough trebuchet fire (like Siege Onagers and Bombard Cannons)
I always said that Britons were OP; they said I was mad, but they see now, I'm not mad; they are fucking OP and their trebs are really fucking scary holy shit
not that guy, but didn't the conquistador have a musket or something?
i mean throwing an axe was within the technology level of the period. guns only exist in the late 1000s if Bill and Ted really fucked something up...
>Mamelukes were actually horsemen; and they used spears, scimitars, bow and arrow, and; near the Napoleonic era, used a few guns (1 shot pistols to be exact)
Yeah, having the Mamluks on camels and making them throw scimitars is pretty egregious, they should have looked like these bad boys
Fun fact: the mamluks of AoE throw scimitars because the Sarracen UU was supposed to be a scimitar throwing swirling Dervish (on foot). They decided against it (thank God) but they still used the attack for the Mamluk.
>Persians did actually use Elephants, but not that much; Persians did make use of heavy cavalry, and quite a lot; we can say that the Cataphract has Persian/middle eastern originals rather than Roman origins.
The cataphract is actually from Eastern Iranian origins, the romans copied it from the Sarmatians, Alans and other Iranian speaking nomads.
But yeah, the persian's UU should have been a heavy cavalry unit (google Savaran or Asvaran) instead of the Elephant, which was mainly used on India
Yeah, but when you think about it, Persians has Paladins, which pretty much fills the Savaran/Asvaran heavy cavalry, of course Paladins did not exist in the middle east, but you know, it's just a representation of a certain military unit.
Is there a way to set conquers AI as the default for single player random map games? It keeps defaulting to the new AI and I keep forgetting to change it back before the start and have to abandon to game because the new AI is stupid.
My original experience with AoE II was a pirated beta disk (with full intro and all) and Mamelukes there still used their footslogging Dervish model along with other beta anachronisms. I never questioned it at the time, but in hindsight that was pretty hilarious.
Would make sense considering they all had a really terrible grasp on metallurgy.
A lack of good beasts of burden, and poor metallurgy was probably what doomed all the indians actually, they really were shit out of luck on not having horses, donkeys or oxens, hard to get a strong civilization going without all that added muscle.
Here you have the full uncut intro and ZeroEmpires' review of the alpha build.
The game I had was more complete, but the main menu was similar to the video and most outdated models or AoE I stand-ins were in place (I actually prefer the beta Knight model to the one we had in the full game). It also had a few editor oddities like iron ore mines if I recall correctly.
Anyway I'm pretty sure you can find early builds of AoE 2 on the internet but I don't have a link on my hands, all I have is an old pirated Russian CD.
>tfw this was the first game I got on my PC after moving the US years ago
I had everything, the box, the book with all the explanations for units' features, strengths and weaknesses, etc
The CD eventually got too scratched and I lost muh AoE2 stuff eventually. That soundtrack was damn good, it doesn't seem like any pirate version of the game comes with it.
Saracens > Persians
Persians/Franks > Turks
Turks/Teutons > Goths
Goths > Britons and Mayans
Britons, Mayans, Chinese > Byzantines
Mongols/Huns > Chinese
Mongols > Huns
Huns > Mongols
Spanish > Any mesoamerican civ
Byzantines/Turks > Saracens
Turks > Turks
Celts > Britons
Japanese > Goths
Anything > Incas
Aztecs > Mayans
Mayans > Incas
Incas > Aztecs
Huns > Huns
>mfw playing slavs and a Goth tries to spam huskarls
I was quite surprised when I saw a Slav champions literally destroy an equal size of Japanese champions
And saw the a big amount of champions actually fighting back Byzantine Cataphracts
It's kind of scary when you think about it.
The only setback is that the Druzhina upgrade is so fucking expensive
Also, any good Goth could easily dominate a Slav with just mass Hand Cannoners, Bombard Cannons, Halbs, Hussars and Huskarls
well.. chinesse were the best with the expansion i mean that fucking chu ko nu were so annoying and they go trhough ages more easly ...and in the normal game i have to choose Byzantines cause they were defenssive and i like long games
So are Incas the objectively shittiest civ in the entire game?
I mean like the Mayans and Aztecs they lack cavalry and gunpowder units, but they don't have huge atk or health techs for their infantry. All they get for unique tech is a measly 10 % speed increase, it's pitiful.
I mean just look at their bonuses:
Start with a free Llama.
Villagers benefit from Blacksmith upgrades.
Buildings cost -15% stone.
Houses support 10 population.
Team Bonus: Farms are built 50% faster.
Just look at that shit. Most civs have atleast one really good bonus, but all these are just average. I mean, with these you have to try a feudal rush or trush because once you get into Castle you're just gonna lag more and more behind.
It's like they tried their damndest to make as shitty of a civ as they could
>Start with a free Llama.
I agree it's shit, but I like it when it takes 30 seconds to find my main sheeps
>Buildings cost -15% stone.
Meh, only useful for Trushing and Castle dropping
>Houses support 10 population.
Saves wood on early game, but it's not a big deal
>Team Bonus: Farms are built 50% faster.
It's fucking shit
Quicker eagle warriors might sound good for raiding and striking down siege; but 10% speed increase is really fucking weak, also the eagles are quite fast enough.
I like the Slinger too, fucking up Goths really hard, the kamayuk is a Meh
Incas should not use eagles heavily, like the Mayans and Aztecs, which sucks, I like to use eagles.
I also think that the Incas have a good synergy with other mesomaerican civs on a team game
>Castle drop an enemy
>Mesoamerican ally masses eagles to attack an enemy
>Enemy gets raided by eagles but answers with infantry
>Slingers stone their stupid faces
>Enemy tries heavy cavalry
>Kamayuks impale their horsey asses
>Enemy tries archers
Besides that, Incas does no excell in no specific area, unlike the aztecs (infantry and siege) and mayans (archers)
For some reason I'm starting to play as Incas, and actually like them.
It'd be cool to do a 3 v 3 game with one team doing the meso civs and the others doing some colonial civs
I think the Incas would be best as pocket/slinging the others. Also walling, their stone walls would cost 2 stone each with the Mayan team bonus
Incas are far from the worst civ.
The house support 10 population is one of THE best early game bonuses, it's like the Huns but better because you only need to buy two houses in Dark Age but don't start with 0 like the huns. A free lama means that you can use an extra sheep to scout.
And the blacksmith bonus on villagers combined with the cheaper towers is just begging for a Tower rush.
I also find it funny that they're a Meso Civ and simultaneously counter the other Meso Civs with their slingers, most stuff Aztecs or Mayans send towards them will die. The Kamayuks are cool too, they attack over eachother so a big bunch of them will win most melee battles.
And the 10 % Eagle Warrior speed might sound small, but they're as fast as Mangudai, the idea is to run into Siege, kill em and run back to safety behind Slingers.
I kinda went off but I wanna defend Incas a bit since I find them to be really fun, perhaps a bit micro intensive sometimes but still fin.
>>Castle drop an enemy
>>Mesoamerican ally masses eagles to attack an enemy
>>Enemy gets raided by eagles but answers with infantry
>>Slingers stone their stupid faces
>>Enemy tries heavy cavalry
>>Kamayuks impale their horsey asses
>>Enemy tries archers
Or, if you're playing as the Japanese, you can do all those things and counter them too yourself!
>new campaigns are voiced
They learned fast, thank fuck. I have yet to care about the Forgotten campaign simply because of the lack of voice. It feels so empty and lifeless without it.
In HD, I can wall off bits of black forest I don't want to be attacked from and they never touch it as long as there's no gate.
I can also send a villager early on to fence in relics with palisade walls when they're deep into enemy territory and the AI will never knock down the walls and just try to run monks into it forever.
Zero Empires is kind of an idiot with how he is constantly mispronouncing things.
I like Spirit of the Law because he actually has reasoning to back up his numbers unlike someone like Ulilililia.
Meaningless for experienced players, at least.
We all know that garrisoned infantry gives speed and attack bonus to rams
We all know that petards have bonus buildings and other siege
We all know how the Goths play
We all know that, but sometimes his stuff comes handy; for example in the market video.
But his stuff will come usefull for new players, or at least that's my opinion.
ZeroEmpires in the other hand... his analysis are weaker than Spirit's and other youtubers (except when he asks TheViper because 'ITSVIPERD00D'), and when he tries to be funny, he just ends being lame; like his last 'Villager rights' video.
Seriously, is really hard to be truly 'funny' in such old mediaval-themed RTS games, such AoEII
>He plays for the 'Victory' (and probably for the ELO too)
>Teammate is being constantly sieged in a 2vs1
>'Just run and rebuild'
>He gets to Imperial and starts push all for himself, while his ally left rebuilding behind his base
>Sometimes he fails, sometimes he ends being victorious
>Yes, he won; all the game for himself; in a teamgame
>While his teammate lost his town, defended in vain, received no help, got to escape and run for his life; and the game ended with him still trying to rebuild, without getting the chance of help his Imperial age buddy
'What's the point of a teamgame if you will solo the entire enemy team?'
'What's the point of a teamgame when you play like you are alone?
>I play for the 'Fight'
>Actively harass the enemies
>Get cartography early and actively look my allies base at the mini-map, send them help as soon as possible when I see them in trouble, without the need to actually wait for them ask for help
>Rabid mamelukes and camels to kill all knights and cavalry archers
>Honorable knights to slay all archers
>Swift cavalry archers to end all infantry
>As soon he asks for resources, I tribute them all I can spare, without waiting for research coinage or banking, because they need it NOW, even if it implies hurting my eco a little.
>Push and fight like a team
>Win or lose like a team
My motto: 'No man is left behind'
Har har, but really africans had the stuff needed for archery, south americans did not (hard to get iron for arrowtips, for example)
They did have the Atlatl, which would have been cool as a UU. It would kinda be a skirmisher on steroids, these fuckers were feared by the spanish since the spears easily tore trough spanish armor
It would be cool to have a meso civ with these as a UU and have the best trash ranged unit, similar to the Magyar Huszars
Ikr, weird name for mongols on invisible horses.
Basically a cavalry archer that costs half gold. They are strong but they can only be trained in a castle, still, they become op with the more lasting resources bonus and the cheaper walls.
I tried to watch that video
But hearing that dude commenting with that broken english accent made me cringe
The worst thing is that he probably is a spic
Even a spic like me has a better spoken english than him
>I had a lot of fun though.
What kind of fun?
The fun of learning?
Or the kind of fun when you made an entire city, and you put shittons of enemy saboteurs in that city; seeing how everything blows up to the skies?
>Or the kind of fun when you made an entire city, and you put shittons of enemy saboteurs in that city; seeing how everything blows up to the skies?
So much this. I would spend hours recreating historical and fantasy battles to the last autistic detail. No wonder i never got laid.
>I would spend hours recreating historical and fantasy battles to the last autistic detail
I can relate to this, I once tried to recreate the march of 'San Martin' (Argentinian historical figure) through the Andes
I had fun with it
>No wonder i never got laid.
I feel you
Plummies are cheap and somewhat strong, but they lack of the strong punch Conquistadors do, in terms of harassment
Defending against Conquistadors, they are not that great, proving they have 2/2 armor, they are faster, high damage and decently fast; you need to outnumber the conqs with your plummies
Mamelukes can't raid that easily, specially with defensive buildings around; and they are too costly against any foot trash unit (Pikeline and Skirmishers), the usual defender unit against raids
Mamelukes are slower than conquistadors, and 5 conquistadors can 1 hit a castle age mameluke, and that's 85 gold instantly wasted; it's not cost effective
I like both Plummed archer and Mameluke
The Mameluke makes a great defender unit, and the Plummies makes a great attacking/raiding unit; only beaten by the Hussar/Paladin/Eagle Warrior
The conquistadors are not that great in Imperial Age, but getting harassed by castle age conquistadors it's a pain in the ass to deal with
Bet you know the word mute can stand for a button. The commentaries are worthy though.
AoE teached me that there's no such thing as wrong or right, just wololo.
>tfw you'll never experience the pleasures of lag, out of synch and rooms full of no-rush 3 hours.
Yeah, pretty fucked.
No, that's not an excuse
He created conquerors, plenty of them, almost 15 I can count
With that amount of food he could have afford 10 light cavalries with a few upgrades
>He noticed it too late
And? The aztec created the monks, cool beans; it's not like he took like 2 minutes to ago around his base, tear down the palidase and proceed to rape the red player; with 2 minutes you can build 2 or 3 stables and start creating light cavalries
Pro player my ass
He deserved to lose

What the hell Pajeet? All the villagers look the same and if the game was realistic if anything the Indians would be the ugliest also poo in the loo please!
Oh, I have seen a big norse women before
I'm pretty sure she can crush my skull if she ever wanted
And like >>2742096 said, the average Joe is way too small for a 2 meter tall muscular woman
Trust me, you dont want to make them angry; or make them have sex with you
Mostly because she would fuck YOU
Except I don't, I'm talking about the average random Joe = that's working class, NOT the top 20% of society with white collar jobs.
She could maybe take on an Asian/brown manlet but she'd never have a chance against a dadbod truck driver from 'Kwa.
>Except I don't, I'm talking about the average random Joe = that's working class
They're probably lower middle class if you're actually talking average.
Even if we go 'working class' [discarding the average], in most developed countries working class people tend more towards obesity because unhealthy food is generally cheaper to buy in bulk, so all she has to do is walk at medium speed until not so average joe dies of a heart attack.
Idiotic assumptions. Not everyone is an ameriburger but let's say that the truck driver is fat since I said he is an ameriburger ('Kwan) he'd still rek that bitch and rape her (just like other men, he must rape).
>Not everyone is an ameriburger
You don't have to be, obesity rates in the UK are similar and the general trend of poorer people being fatter is reflected across the first world.
Don't say average if you don't mean average: You want world average? Weakling with poor health. You want first world working class? Weakling unless falling from a great height. You want first world average? As above, or skinny weakling.
At this stage you'd be as well just pointing out that Bubba the big trucked fuck has a .22 rifle that he uses to shoot bucks which he'd use to blast the brains of that nordic fuck all over his 18 wheeler big rig truck, proving that even a viking can't rely only on luck.
I am just jejing at your delusion, feminist-ally
an average joe could easily rek any "tuff viking woman"
the only woman who stands a chance are the black "women" who are men with penises competing in the woman's league because it's easier to succeed there if you're slightly...very slightly..a tiny bit...effeminate looking and don't have much body hair
Maybe in America the percentage would be 30-35% tops, but that is evened out by the poorer countries in the world, so 20% of the world having white collar jobs is actually stretching it, probably less than that.
Water terrain. They use some new rendering for it or whatever. It looks terrible and worse than vanilla AOE2 water did. Turning it off just makes everything look fucked and weird, not at all like it did in vanilla.
I wish the Meso Civs got alternate models for their archery and barracks units. It annoys me way too much to see European Crossbowmen and Pikemen from them
What should we include?
I have never made a general's OP before, I've never even made a new thread for a general before. Also if somebody wants to provide an OP image that would help.
>Top qt female villagers
