Is this bait? I've never seen posts this stupid on /w/ before
last one for now, might upload more later
Just got adobe illustrator and have been messing around with making these. I've got 3 first-attempts here.
Re-did this with correct resolution and no white on the side.
They take like 5 seconds to remove in photoshop and why is your pic so blurry?
Here, I made it before. If you want a different color background I'll post a transparent render so you can put it on whatever
More detail eh?
I don't know how long this will take me, but it will be damn fancy.
I'd love it you made a minimalistic Tachibana one, I might have a good enough picture but I need to check. I just have my screenshots. Could this one work?
Someone here is taking requests ? if yes could you guys make a Hisoka minimalist wallpaper ??
Now just make a full blown vector with more detailed coloring and having to draw all the lines, without strokes. It's so quick and fun.
These look nice though. I should do one of these instead of slaving hours doing it the harder way.
Here's a version with no background in case anyone has something they'd prefer to put behind it themselves.
I recommend exporting it at a higher resolution, just to give people more options should they want to resize it. 300 PPI or higher in the export settings will generally export at a large resolution.
of or relating to minimal art or artists
abstract painting or sculpture in which expressiveness and illusion are minimized by the use of simple geometric shapes, flat color, and arrangements of ordinary objects
Just because you don't know the definition of a word, does not make it incorrect.
The SVG for anyone who is interested:
Upon coming back to this, I realised I committed a grave sin: I forgot to do her hairclip.
Here is a fixed version.
I only made the monogatari ones but thanks
These snakes were a nightmare to do
Decided to try one, well it's a lot quicker than vectors with lines and stuff. The picture wasn't that good to begin with though so a few details are off.
Sorry, forgot about this thread until now. Here you go.
Decided to put in color gradients for this one, now that I have that figured out.
Wasn't sure how this would turn out with a higher res artwork instead of a screenshot, but here it is.
As for this, I'm a little more worried about. With her laying down like that with so few cloths/colors I'd imagine i'd turn out funny. If I don't included the mat she would appear to be hovering funny, and If I did, there would be parts I'd have to make up due to the cut off. I guess I could try it though.
If requests were made in the IMT threads, This thread would get links to them in the end anyway. If there is a thread dedicated to the minimalist style, it seems to make more sense to just put everything here instead of spreading a single conversation over 2 threads and linking half of it back here. Minimalist requests are not exactly huge in IMT anyway.
I think the area between the hand and face looks funny but here it is. Went without doing the mat or anything else.
Since this is the internet, it goes without saying people don't read the rules. With that said, how do you propose that people learn about them, if not by being pointed out such when they break one?
Sure, you could just sit on the sideline while they are banned and can't post for a while, but that's just not my style, I'll give people the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe they know the rules, but forgot for a moment. To err is human, after all.
One last thing, the sticky states:
>Similarly, the Image Modification Thread is for rendering, extracting, and enlarging images.
As creating this OC is not a render, extraction, nor an enlargement, It is not required for it to be in the IMT. But don't worry anon, I'm sure you just forgot what belongs in the IMT, to err is human, after all.
the act or process of changing parts of something : the act or process of modifying something
: a change in something (such as a system or style)
>I'm sure you just forgot what belongs in the IMT
>Welcome to IMT
>We are here to help. All wallpaper and image modification requests are welcome, within reason.
>all modification requests
That is only half true. Sometimes people make the image in Photoshop, making the image a raster, and not a vector. If the person properly makes it in Illustrator/Inkscape or any other vector program, then it would.
READ THE BOARD STICKY, NOT THE INDIVIDUAL THREADS.
>1. Search the Catalog to prevent creating duplicate threads of the same character, series, or theme.
>2. Single image request threads are highly discouraged. Please upload some of your own content when making a thread.
>3. Use the Vector Thread for requesting, sharing and contributing vectors with others.
>4. Similarly, the Image Modification Thread is for rendering, extracting, and enlarging images.
Bullet point 4, the IMT thread is for rendering, extracting, and enlarging an image. Making these minimal style walls is not either of those. Conversely because this is something that can be done without Illustrator/inkscape they are not vectors either so point 3 is out. In short if you must point out the rules get them right, or don't talk out of your ass. Making requests here is just fine. The process for making this style of image is not a modification of an existing image, its a full on recreation of a new one.
Google images ashit. Have any specific images you want to be made that would work well?
I also have this one, not one I made though.
Anyone want to do a Reimu minimalist? It doesn't have to be this exact image; Reimu is the best Touhou character.
Hi there, quick question. if you edit an image such as this do you own the edited image? i'm thinking of putting something on my new card but dont know the legality of it and dont want it to get rejected.
What kind of card? Technically you don't own the rights to the character after doing this. Depending on how you will be using the image and the type of card it is you will be just fine.
Current wallpaper. Most recent of my vectors at the time of posting.
For some reason, the SVG doesn't display properly in the browser. Doesn't matter to me, though. Just open it in your vector editor.
can anyone do a minimalistic version of this? I understand if its not possible, i'd like medium detail
fixed some things. It was pretty late when I finished this.
How do i remove the lines in the background? they really show on my monitor.
can anyone do a minimalistic version of this?
These are the greatest kind of wallpapers
Can someone do this on a purple background please
My will be done. This is the first of these that I've done, so if it's not the greatest I apologize.
Didn't know if you wanted all of the math symbols floating around or not. I opted not to include them for the sake of minimalism, but if you want them I'll see if I can't go back and whip those up.
thank you, it turned out nicely I think. Looking back, I forgot the baller yellow spikes on the ends of her lab coat's arms and her ribbons on her hair, so I corrected that.
I just sorta wing it in photoshop with the pen tool, that's 90% of what I do with these besides zooming in nice and doing a little fine brush work. I'll include a pic that's pretty representative of how I do things in the next post. If you give me a little time I can put together a crappy infographic explaining things.
I basically trace with the pen tool around what I want to be the solid shape in the end. Once I have my shape I make sure to name the path so it doesn't get deleted with the next work path gets made, and I convert it to a selection and fill it with the most representative color in that shape. A lot of people do gradients with certain shapes that would go well with them.
I go around and do that for everything that needs it and try not to miss anything, and eventually it works out. I can't speak for anyone who does these but myself, they might have a totally different method but that's what works the easiest and most efficiently for me.
Just make sure to keep up with naming layers as you make them or you'll end up with 25+ unnamed layers that you need to order and will need to toggle visibility for a lot.
Is it possible if anyone can create one of Houki? I've been trying to find minimalist wallpapers of her, but I haven't had any luck.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Do your thing wallpaper maker man.
Maybe do the background a light blue or black, anyway you're the artist so I leave it in your god like hands.
I am looking forward to your next masterpiece.
Hi. I'm hosting a screening of Patema Inverted this weekend and I've been given the option of having a holding slide before the film starts.
I don't suppose I could get a 300dpi version of this and your permission to use it, could I?
It's not like the other wallpapers here in this thread but I guess this one can be considered as minimalistic too.
Can plz minimize/minimilistic styles.
Not exactly "fairly detailed" (excluding the blur), but all the darks and lights were so close to the same, and the scarf would of looked odd with the dark in just some parts. Also, fuck guitar strings.
I might be able to go back and do multiple colors for the skin area, but probably not unless there are no other requests to fill.
Seeing a lot of odd suggestions on how the wallpapers are made, so I figured I'd post this.
This is the image I found that led to me making them, and this is a simple image that does not cover much. However, this is how I made all the images with the similar files names of Show# (Exlcuding >>1673727).
For the love that is all holy.
Pease work your magic on this one.
Can someone help me out with this one?
Thanks a lot.
oooh I like the yukari one, can you try my darling as well? I trust your judgement on the background
