Last thread started to turn to shit, so lets have a new one.
>Check before asking any questions
Felt a bit nostalgic so here's the first desktop I used with green & gray, no real reason to post the current one anyways as nothing has changed.
Thanks, and Dark looks beautiful if you do it right, it's also not so hard on the eyes.
Or you can do both, dark taskbar with white windows.
Anyways, I like your ss. Firefox looks great
You should edit the firefox css, and your vs looks a bit bad.
A good dark vs would be axonkolor without the rainbow
Make the navbox on your firefox match the VS and it'll be beautiful!
ill join you
this one was back in late 2012
oh god what was i thinking
I didn't even know what the fuck I was doing back then. August 2012
This one wasn't shit, just super fucking boring.
Oh shit I remember this one. Dear god, haha.
It continues like this even if I change the themes or resize the image. It's probably a problem in the CSS itself.
Well, since the only thing I know is just copying the CSS into stylish and activating it, I guess I couldn't do much. Also, the black variant was already there, so I guess it was more practical and easy (for me) to do so.
But which link?
>not staring at your qt3.14 3d gf while you work
(meanwhile, at Niisan headquarters)
>Fucking hell, all our competitors' cars look the same.
>Why should we conform to a universally appealing design?
>GO CREATE SOMETHING TOTALLY UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL
>WE'LL BLOW AWAY THE OTHER GUYS WITH OUR RAD NEW STYLE
(one year later)
>BUT WHY ISN'T THE CUBE SELLING??? IT'S SO ORIGINAL
idk im just an avid KS fan
also I spent about 10 minutes looking for an appropriate pic to edit and that time wasnt gonna be wasted for nothing
>Man, this is not half bad.
I wish you hadn't said that.
Embrace your past.
I found another blast from the past, and this one is earlier by 12 days. Oldest one is February 2011
I feel like mine was trying to be but failed because of the icons and text problems.
i have earlier ones but they are extremely shitty
And yes i just stole yours i had a space theme before
Is there any way to remove the titlebar and the min/max/close buttons, so I can give my windows a more flat and minimalistic look?
Take a joke will you?
But seriously, none of your colours match at all, it's cluttered, Things are overlapping like crazy and things are just cutting all over the place. My own setup is not too great, but at least it's not worse than nothing; which yours is. You should have just kept it vanilla.
Get some consistency. Your colours are all over the place, and everything looks like you just placed it at random. You have 3 clocks and two date markers. Your transparency on rainmetr cut off at random.
I actually like this. Some of the icons are hit or miss, and you need to use the same icons on the taskbar as well as the sidebar, but it's not to bad. Clean up your system tray though.
Yeah, I've been too lazy and too busy to change out the icons for custom ones. The taskbar on the left is an extension of my browser, haven't figured out how to remove or customize the icons on that one either; hence the duplicate icons.
Are you referring to which theme I'm using? It's from this bundle: http://neiio.deviantart.com/art/APPOWS-157033415
The custom windows start button is this one I believe: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Windows-7-Start-Orb-163031183
I've been using bblean on Win7 64bit for awhile now and thought I had it mostly figured out. But about a month ago after turning my PC on the workspace/arrows were on my taskbar, despite me having removed them previously. I could have sworn that the settings for those were in bbleanbar.rc but I don't see them. Adding !bbleanbar.item: WorkspaceLabel etc doesn't change anything.
Basically I'm forgetting something really stupid but I can't figure out what. Any help would be appreciated.
Also is there a way of adding per album artwork to the playlist?
Something like this.
>I conformed to the ahoka meme two years ago and I need the approval of my imaginary internet friends
>I wouldn't be able to do anything different
>I never contributed to the ricing community
I used to come to this desktop thread because it was the best on 4chan, but now /g/ and /wg/ are the only ones worth looking at, even considering all the rainmeter nonsense going on on /wg/
Need more useless terminal rice.
Set the grouping to Album and select All and Show all.
Startpage and firefox css are both by noha,
foobar is dsas,
and the vs is whitedior.
then there's the bblean bar with most of the items hidden.
The wallpaper was a render I had done and turned it into a wallpaper.
However, all of these were modified by me to fit my personal preference.
I like the colors, but I cannot get myself to like the diagonal toolbars.
Thanks I'll take a look at it
does anyone run gnome 3?
I was wondering if the tweak tool improves functionality of desktops as much as i hear it does.
Also is it any good for rice.
very consistent and nice!, looks cool
Usually I would dismiss anything that looks like this, but hey its pretty cool this time!
No bad things to be said here!
it looks great
its cool, nice readable colours
Love your colours, but its a bit spooky for my tastes
I don't like the slanted lines you got going on in some stuff, but its really cool most of the time!
I am jelly of this type of firefox tabs, I may steal it soon, nice desktop
great as always!
Send Help! advice and critique extremely welcome
I couldn't find it on the wiki, but what's the terminal program people are using for Windows / Linux that displays all the information? I thought it was called Archy. I'm trying to get it for my new macbook
R.I.P laptop, my good friend for 7 years. Lost all of my scrots though, only this one from the last few desktop threads survived.
i didn't make it
there are a lot of guides on deviantart for footer skins
-trial and error is the best way to figure stuff out
-try making your own stuff no matter how shitty it is
-stop caring what other people think
