Well, it is supposed to mean that some things can't be changed. That you have to deal with some situations. It is like a joke to cheer you up to fight this kind of situations. Like, you can't melt wood, mate.
Uhhh, it's 1920x1080, so while it isn't huge, it shouldn't be tiny.
In MS Paint you can resize through the options menu, but if you do that to small images your resolution will be shit.

Also, the inspiration for the wallpaper came from my literature class after my teacher pointed at a motivation poster of "Anything is Possible" And my friend made that very remark of melting wood.
