Anyone know of decent scholarly/peer reviewed article databases or good scientific journals for biology/microbiology? I'm a bio major looking for a branching point, and my community college's database isn't fantastic.
Source, please? I tried google searching a couple of screencaps, but I got nothing.
Can someone provide the source for this?
I can't for the life of me remember to name of the go to site for this. Its on the tip of my tongue and it driving me nuts.
So updated W10 yesterday because this fucking shit dosen't have a NEVER option. Everything worked fine before. Reboot and find out that my external sound card SWEEX 7.1 stopped working and the integrated program doesn't appear anymore in taskbar. Even though the external sound card works it does not detect my headphones and it doesn't launch the program that should auto launch everytime the system recognizes that the external sound card is connected. Might be a USB thing. No sound fml. Can anyone help me out ?

Picked myself up an SSD to replace my mechanical boot drive alongside my 2TB SSHD. I want to 'clone' Windows 10 from this drive to my new SSD. What software will be most reliable/make this process as simple as possible?
Thanks for any help!
Reminder that if you're using GPT, you have to move and not copy partitions (otherwise you'll have two partitions with the same UUID and Windows will cry), and you can't just image a disk (or it will be a different size than the partition table says it is, and Windows will cry.
It's okay to copy partitions on GPT temporarily, but long-term you need to change the UUIDs in the partition table and the filesystem, or your OS will think they're the same partition, and all hell will break loose.
Rather than trying to second-guess the computer as to what's hot data and what isn't, though, you'd be better just putting your swapfile on the SSD, and using the rest as a persistent disk cache, with something like eBoostr.
I guarantee you you'll get better performance, because the SSD will contain the actual data you actually use, rather than the data you think you'll probably use.
That you set it up once and can then forget about it forever is gravy.
With this in consideration, would it be better to just do a fresh install of the OS to the new drive to avoid potential problems?
I don't really have any sensitive data on that drive, I keep important stuff elsewhere.

So, I recently aquired Macromedia Flash 8, and I've wanted to create a random text box, that would display one of several text dialogs at random.
However, I haven't been able to figure out a way to do so, and after searching for a solution online, the closest thing I've found to this is a number generator, which doesn't work quite the same way.
I should also note that I'm more-or-less oblivious to script code, but if you have any, I'll try my best to understand. Thanks in advance. :)
words = ["a word", "another word", "etc"];
max = words.length;
min = 0;
rand_index = Math.floor(Math.random() * (max - min)) + min;
selected_word = words[rand_index];
Then find a way to put the string selected_word into your text.
I've been having problems with a blue-screening Laptop (BCCode 124), and I've been trying to track down whats causing it. (It bluescreened randomly after 5-30 minutes of running in win7). It worked in safe mode. I tried reinstalling Windows, which didn't work, so I tried to install various Linux systems which also didn't work.
The only thing working right now is the parted magic version of the ultimate boot cd.(Its a repair linux distro that runs live from ram)
I had the idea to run a bunch of stability tests to try and isolate the faulty component(s),...
