I got a story all the way from sunny Guam for you /x/, enjoy.
wrapped myself in a nice warm blanket and watched the stormy sea until it calmed down.
I just turned 21 when I got three days of bad weather, that was way more then I could stand. So I grabbed my rain coat and decided to take a walk on the beach, if I couldn't get in the water at least I would smell it, I would taste the salty air and feel the waves on my bare feet.
As I was walking towards the sea I noticed something white in a pot hole filled with water, It looked like a snow flake but it never snows here.
I always had a fascination for snow and ice, I always enjoyed learning about it or watching it.
As I knelled down, I realized it was just a tiny white octopus, it was the cutest critter I ever seen.
I poked my finger in the pot hole and the little guy jumped on it, he was about half the size of my index finger's nail. I placed him in my pocket, went to the nearest trash bin and picked up an empty soda bottle, cleaned it quickly in an inlet since the sea was to stormy to get close to. Then I placed the little octopup inside the bottle, the bottle in my pocket and I continued my walk, careful to pick up sea weeds and other little worms or sea bugs that got washed up for my new friend.
I named him Flakey, since he looked like a snow flake.
The storm lasted for about 3 weeks in all so I couldn't put him back into the sea, the wind was unpredictable, blowing from all direction and the little guy would just get thrown back on to shore and die.
I did take him to the local sea life center but the people there said he isn't anything interesting and that I should just trow him back when I can.
I did get some advice on food do, and I experimented until I found things he liked to eat.
He eat a lot, he seemed to favor sea weeds of all kinds and fish or meat. I would mince it in the blender and drop it little by little in the bottle. He was an energetic little fellow and I would talk to him or stick my finger in the top of the bottle where he would 'attack it'.
After about two weeks he grown to about the size of my finger and I moved him to a jar, I was afraid he would get stuck in the little bottle.
All this time I fed him, changed his water every day or every other 2 days and generally tried to keep him in good spirits, he loved to chase little...

I heard last year that Ashtar Galactic Command will come to earth in 2016. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
I've studied extensively on the subject of these spiritual extraterrestrials. But really, they might mean that the Ashtar Galactic Command may come here, likely, spiritually than physically.
And if they come here physically, then it's about goddamn time that aliens come to help us Earthlings and our government.
But will they physically come to Earth this year? I doubt it. And if they did, I got tons of questions to ask them of their absence from saving Earth that they've could've prevented.
And might give Ashtar an ass-whooping at dat too.
not sure why the mod deleted the first one.
why did aliens give us civilization type 1 computer tech and internet and not type 1 energy production and propulsion?
First so they could monitor us more easily. Watch O.B.I.T.
Second question. So they can control us easier. We are addicted to using high amounts of energy in the first world. The ones that control that control us.
So I've been thinking a lot about shape-shifters and entities who are able to function in global society without being detected. Is it possible for such beings to have evolved biologically? I know of a species of octopus which mimics other animals; is it possible that a large land animal could've evolved a similar ability? They would have to be highly intelligent to have gone on for so long without being detected. They may even control certain parts of the legal system in portions of the world. Does anybody have any evidence of this?
What you think about him?
Is shit I am from México and I know someone that have a friend that tell him that a day he was in the same flight and asked to maussan if all his works and evidences and told that maussan answered "de algo tengo que comer" translated from anything I hace to eat
Greetings, ladies and germs.
It's been a long time since I've posted here, but I recently felt an urge to visit and now here I am. So, I'm currently reading At The Mountains Of Madness, and was wondering if any of you know about other works of fiction, be they novels, films or otherwise, that take place in the frozen wilderness, prefferably Canada. Extra points for really obscure shit.
I'll also be posting some of my own winter movie recomendations, and I hope you enjoy them as well.
This is a personal favourite, one of the best 'Wendigo' movies out there, in my opinion. Ravenous is a dark-comedy with horror elements, masterfully directed despite a turbulent production. The atmosphere is great, and the ending is amazing. Not for everyone, as the sudden shifts in tone and weird banjo soundtrack piss some people off, but I love it.
Now this is a REALLY Canadian one. Ginger Snaps: The Beginning is the third installment in the Ginger Snaps franchise, and though it's also the worst of the bunch, I find it to be a pretty entertaining werewolf story. The atmosphere and time period are similar to Ravenous, but in general this is just a passable movie.
Soooo, the creepy dude that likes to hang out in abandoned Polish hospitals is back.
Anyone want to have a crack at deciphering this one?
Cryptid/UFO/Alien art thread.
Related question; any good etsy/ebay shops to buy "paranormal" art similar to the one I've posted?
They don't want you knowing this, but the creation of Survivor dates back hundreds of years to the founding of Florida.
You see, Juan Ponce de León had indeed found the fountain of youth those many years ago. Sadly, he could not understand how to manipulate it to grant him eternal youth. Instead, he gathered a team to investigate and develop a greater understanding of the fountain so that future generations of the de Leon family could reap the riches.
Well, many years passed and they finally figured out how to harness the powers of youth in the fountain.
It turns out, that a passionate connection must be made between man and the elements for it to work. The only notable problem is that the only one able to reap the benefits of the fountain of youth is he who connects man to the elements.
So, they (the investigators of the fountain of youth) knew they could not kid nap people as it would block the possibility of a connection to the elements between the person. Their solution? Survivor.
Jeff Probst, the great great great great great grandson of Juan Ponce de León was to be the host of the show in which he would place a number of people in the middle of nature for a reward they all desperately wanted. The only thing standing in their way? The fire. By day ten, each contestant would have a spiritual connection to his/her fire. And, because Jeff connected them to the elements, Probst maintains youth every time a contestant's flames are put out. Thus explaining his youthful appearance.
hey /x/, i'm experiencing some existential anxiety and i want to get it out.
i'm afraid of immortality and infinity. i don't believe that death can be the end, inexistence seems impossible and nothingness volatile. i'm afraid that some part of me will continue forever and never die. i'll never understand the bigger picture of reality, but i'll never end, in an eternal state of chaos. this is my biggest fear.
Well dont worry about it. The mind is affected by biological functions which means that it is intrinsically connected to the human body - which in turn means that it cannot exist in a permanent state. When you die that will be the end of your conscious state. Otherwise you will be in heaven and be able to ask for its end anyway.
Good evening /x/.
I would like to give you a little heads up on some upcoming occurrences. Do not panic if you see a triangular/chevron shaped aircraft flying within the next few days. It will be very quiet, and will only be flown at night. This is just a test. Rest assured that it is not a UFO.
Stay safe /x/. Beware the NCIJTF.
Alright /x/ I need some help, I'm down visiting my parents in the middle of goddamn nowhere in Atlantic Canada. It's almost 11 PM and my step dad and I are getting ready for bed. We start hearing a weird noise, that kind of sounds like three barks/owl screeches and then another one that starts in on a high note and ends on a low one (think the noise you hear when you die in Mario) Anyways, this noise is coming from behind the house in the ravine, in front of the house across the street, and other way in front of the house farther in back in the woods. We've never...
