Hello /x/, what did you think of The Conjuring 2? I thought it was pretty scary but it missed out on a lot potential stuff. It felt like the beginning part of the movie was dragged out a little bit too much and the movie could've done alot more spooky stuff with the nun or crooked man part. I really enjoyed the nun part since it gave off a scary demonic vibe and the painting as well. The crooked man was a bit silly with the cgi or what not. Especially the dog scene, that just looked plain bad and the movie would've been alot better if they just cut that out. Overall... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>17822466 Not living in the US I haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. The nun doesn't seem to be very scary, but the I screamed in surprise, when I saw the clapping hands in the first movie. "Annabelle" wasn't very scary (except for the mean elevator scene).
>>17822506 Yeah the elevator scene in Annabelle was a nice scene. I liked that it chased her up the stairs and stuff.
It's not as scary as the other two (in my opinion) but it had it's moments. I'm thinking about seeing "Light's out" but it reminds me of another movie I saw which sucked really badly. I hope you enjoy the movie more than I did and that you don't have some fucking cunt teenagers behind you in the cinema like I did.
I've been looking for information concerning the demon Ose. And so far I can't find anything other than a general description of who he is and what he does. Can anyone give me more information, or a link with a more detailed description of him? For instance, how does Ose make someone think they are something they are not? Does he for instance make mediums think they have special powers?
Landed in Juneau, Alaska. In search of the center of this "great circle" described in this website. I would like to travel and see the sights in Juneau tomorrow, and figure out what happens at the center of this circle. http://home.hiwaay.net/~jalison/
I envy you...to travel to a far off place to find the circle of the world.. May i ask how old are you? how can you afford this? How much are the total costs of this venture? Are you alone? How can you be so free?

Hey, could we possibly get an Appalachia thread going? I live in West Virginia and we have some spooky shit around here (Mothman, random animals that lord knows what they are). In specific I wanna hear stories of backwoods people. Like inbreds and shit that turn to cannibalism
>>17816956 Places where salvia grows naturally but alas, the fragrances they produce cause unrecognizable hallucinations and memory loss, so those who find an enxhanted grove often leave with no sense of direction, and more often with no memory
I don't have anything too spoopy but my Grandpa lives in southern West Virginia and I do a lot of four wheeling around his place, there's some pretty cool ruins and shit. Like this old abandoned house and the fire tower on the top of this mountain. I'm hoping I have time to take some pictures of other shit around there this year.
So a couple of days ago, my girlfriend was in RE (religious education) detention with a few friends and the teacher was out by the school gate so they were alone in the room, My girlfriend then decided as a "joke" to turn all the crucifixes upside down into the satanic cross thingy...
Here's the catch, after doing this a day later my girlfriend tried to text me back and apparently her phone "screamed" at her like a really high pitched screaming sorta noise every time she tried to input a key for her reply. It kept doing this until she turned the... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Okey the phone thing probably is just a electronic malfunction But let me get this straight Your girlfriend call you crying and scared and the best thing you could think of was asking /x/? Why aren't you consolating her right. I her side But what I really think is that she's just paranoic. The noises could be like a mouse in the house (rhyme not intended) or just the wood of the house cracking and she's just scared and imagining things
>>17813621 As a small child, for months, my father convinced me my Groucho Marx puppet was alive. He would move it from one place to another without me noticing, place it by my bed while I was asleep, etc. Even went far enough to rig a pulley system with fishing line, making the puppet appear to open his mouth on its own. He didn't tell me it was a joke until I eventually threw it away out of fear.
So I saw a thread on this maybe a week ago. People had started to contact the owner of this wordpress which has been making posts all the way back in 2004. It talks about a virus and how the outside world from the Haven is infected.
I'm hoping to grab people from the OG thread to compile all the ciphers we've cracked. Ever since that thread they became aware of us and postings have become very frequent in comparison. The old leader who was contacting the OP of the last thread is even said to be punished.

hey /x/, I don't normally post or browse here, but I think you guys are all I have left in terms of figuring out what's happened to me. let me give you a rundown of the situation
It all started last Christmas. I was more bored than usual and in a bit of depressive state, and my best friend, whom I normally spend time with 4 or 5 times a week, was in jail. I had nothing to do and no one to do anything with, and this resulted in me sort of falling in with a "bad crowd".
I would spend my time hanging out at the local mall, looking at the holiday decorations and people watching, and that hobby worked pretty well to stave off boredom and depression for awhile, until one day while I was eating a pretzel and drinking lemonade I was approached by a strange group of teenagers.
Now, even though I was 22 at the time, I've got a baby face and they must of thought I was a teenager too, or someone who had recently graduated high school, because they sat down at my table and started talking to me. the "leader" of the group remarked how he had seen me looking at a copy of the simon necronomicon at the mall's book shop the other day (which was true, I thumbed through it for awhile, out of curiosity more than anything) and asked me if I was into "the occult".
I told him that I had done a bit of reading and had a passing interest in it (which is also true, although I may have embellished my reading list - again, I was very bored and desperate for some kind of human interaction) and he said that it was cool that I was interested and that we should hang out sometime. I told them - full disclosure - that I was 22 and it might be weird to hang out with a bunch of teens but they said it was cool, and one of them even remarked that I could buy liquor for them. I thought nothing of it and just figured they needed the token old friend who... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
this house had sort of a reputation for being a place for burnouts and junkies, and naturally the group was pretty worried about jeremy. no one else in the group dared go near the house though because someone once got stabbed there, and they were all afraid, which is completely natural.
Now, I've been around the block a few times myself, and I've experienced quite a bit in my short life. I know how to deal with junkies and weirdos, so I volunteered to go visit the place and see what was up with Jeremy. It had been almost three weeks at this point since we had all hung out together, and Jeremy wasn't returning calls or texts. it only made sense that this is where he would be, so I went looking for him. this is where I made my mistake.
I ended up going to the house one weekend night. I knocked on the door and was let in almost instantly. the place was a very typical flophouse - lots of homeless dudes and drug users all sitting around on busted up thrift store furniture and shooting up. I was welcomed so readily because I brought a few bottles of gin. I walked inside and introduced myself and asked a few people if they had seen jeremy.
As soon as I started asking questions, the demeanour in the room became very hostile towards me. people stared at me like I was here to arrest them all, and one homeless guy even asked me if i was a cop. I laughed off the accusation and explained that I was a friend of jeremys and I was worried about him. after i was given the runaround a few times, someone finally told me jeremy had gone out with a few other people to pick up some food and would be back soon. I found a place to sit down and figured I'd wait. I reached over to the table where I had set my drink down and took a sip, and this is where my memories of that night start to fail me.
Looking back on that night, it's obvious to me now that I had been drugged, but when it was actually happening? I had no clue what was going on. I sat there for ages, dissociating heavily, telling stories to a homeless guy next to me and laughing it up. Finally, after what seemed like ages, Jeremy got back to the house. at this point I was nearly passed out - stumbling all over the place, unable to form a complete sentence, and generally making a huge mess. I was only moments away from blacking out. I tried to go talk to jeremy, but he was engaged in a heated discussion... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hey /x/, i don't come to this board but my brother came over last night and revealed something that has me deeply disturbed. He's been with his wife for the last 5 years, a couple of days ago he left her because she's always been a controlling psychopath basically.
anyways we got pretty drunk and were talking about scars we've gotten at work, all of a sudden he rolls up his sleeve and shows me the biggest scar i've ever seen. there was a loonie sized welt of scar tissue right in the crook of his elbow (think where drug addicts usually inject)... Spooky stuff you've witnessed? I've got a couple to get the ball rolling, post anything weird you've experienced.
First one. About 6 years ago I was at a party with a few friends. About 2:30 am I decided to head home so I jumped on a bus, I'd had a few drinks but I was still pretty sober at this point. About a mile from my stop there's a big crossroad, even at 2 in the morning it's still relatively busy as there are food places, a taxi rank and some bus stops. Anyway as our bus stops I notice a guy waiting at a taxi rank staring at the bus. I can't explain why but I felt really uneasy looking at him, he was about 6ft tall dark slicked back hair and it felt like he was staring right at me, after a few seconds I looked away to check my phone and when I looked back out the window he was gone. I felt pretty relieved believing that my mind was playing tricks on me until the girl in the seat behind me asked her boyfriend if she saw "where that weird guy at the taxi rank went" when I got off the bus I felt completely exposed and an overcoming feeling of dread, I sprinted home and licked up the house, he was probably just some weird guy but I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life.
>>17825192 Second one. A bit more recent . Near where I live is a well known park where king Henry viii had a palace (known as nonsuch park) this place is quite known for its ghost stories and strange goings on. Anyway, me and my friend used to like taking his dog for late night walks, we'd go to the park at about 10:30 pm 3 or 4 times a week, we'd seen and heard some strange stuff before (people yelling from strange places, strange stuff falling from trees etc) but as we were about halfway throughout walk,... some shit just happend right now, i am in southern alberta near the mountains not far from the border. I was getting ready to go to bed and i went into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. i looked out the window in front of the sink and i seen this kinda bright light off in the distance above a community or it might have been in the mountains but it was kinda high above everything. i was trying to look at it better cuz the trees were blowing then as i am looking at it it slowly started to fade into nothing.

How would you feel about aliens masquerading as humans amongst us /x/?
And what if i told you i've seen an alien in a blacked out car with neon orange eyes that disappeared with the cabin lights in the car turning on to reveal a man at the steering wheel followed by a small white flash in the sky. The two orange oval eyes moved around in sync at me and they felt like a face.
hey everyone ive been thinking about whether i should try out some rituals/games involving the paranormal (eg. ouija boards or tulpa making) and wondering if anyone here has some recommendations or warnings regarding these rituals (can be about any).
also; is one man hide-and-seek really as bad as people say it is? seems to be based more in paranoia than actual reality
Going on a trip with my girlfriend who is terrified of ghosts for some dumb fucking reason. Gonna visit some haunted areas to freak her out. Anyway, road tripping along the coast from Seattle to Portland, anyone know any creepy destinations between there and Spokane?
Anyone been on the Haunted Walk in Toronto? I have been to the one in Kingston and Ottawa and those were pretty good but is the one in Toronto any good? I just bought tickets to go in week or so. Anyone have any paranormal encounters while on the walk?
No paranormal encounters, but it was pretty cool. More of a historical walk, I feel. I'm booking one in distillery later this summer, so if that's any indication (I'm assuming you just mean the one over by Front St.)
I did the one in Burlington last summer with my girlfriend, and they were more adament about making it a ghost walk and not a historical walk. Also cool, different vibe. Had us knock on a church door and listen for knocks back and all that kinda stuff. Would recommend, if you feel like driving a little further.

>>17824334 The Kingston one was really good. I did it when I was younger so I don't remember it all. I had what I believe to be an encounter. So my dad and I went to this bookstore before the walk. We actually didn't know it was on the walk to be honest. We go upstairs in the bookstore and we are looking around and a book falls on the ground. Mind you we are the only ones here. Temperature drops and it actually gets chilly(mind you this is on a hot august day and we couldn't here an air conditioner.) Weird things... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
