Conspiracy theories about movies, books, music albums, and videogames.
Starting off with an easy one
>Stanley kubrick staged the moonlanding and put hints in The Shining
Same with Charlie sheen, and most the rest of Hollywood, media in general, and most corporations that provide consumer disposable goods and "entertainment"
America really is generally a bunch of idiots slovenly salivating and licking the stupidest forms of "entertainment" and paying to be brainwashed into even more retarded people
thanks to Hollywood and media, commercialism this is basically dystopian society right now
There's a conspiracy theory that if you sync up Asia's second album Alpha with the movie Trading Places (which both came out in 1983), not only will the music match the plot of the movie (ala Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with Wizard of Oz), but the symmetry will create this weird energy vortex that will actually suck the viewer into the movie.
You're suddenly in Philadelphia, trading stocks with those old brokers or rocking the sheets with Jamie Lee Curtis. The only way to get out of the film reality is to say a specific line in the movie three times (Once you've had a man with no legs you never go back). Immediately after saying it three times you're sucked back into your reality. If at any time you mess up the three lines, or someone takes the album off the record player or pops the VHS out of the VCR you will be trapped in the film forever. Director John Landis and John Payne planned this out in order to created some buzz between the two works, but unfortunately very few people knew they had to say the line three times to get out.
In fact, if you saw a first print run of Trading Places and compared it to a viewing now you'd see thousands more people in crowd shots trapped inside the movie, hungry because they can't eat anything.
There is a similar conspiracy the Emilio Estevez film Nightmares and the first Juice Newton album, but all it does it make your room smell like burnt fudge
>rocking the sheets with Jamie Lee Curtis.
All I have to do is rent the movie and download Alpha? Dude that is ludicrously cheap.
>The only way to get out of the film
Nigga I ain't comin' back.
ghost rider is actually a good movie. skeletons just don't want you to know because it promotes the stereotype that even the good skeletons are spooky. they secretly implanted various symbols and messages throughout the movie that make you react negatively whenever you watch it. Ghost Rider is in fact one of the greatest works of cinema ever created.
Actually, one could argue that the reason American media focuses on simplistic things like super-hero movies, pop culture adaptations, and dumb shit like Fast and Furious 23 - This Time the Cars Are Like, Really Fast, isn't because the United States is full of dumbasses, but because they want to be able to promote and sell the movie internationally - including nations where nobody gets an education.
Room 237 was honestly ridiculous. kind of funny in a are-these-people-serious kinda way. for me it totally discredited any theories people have associated to the movie now, esp moon landing ones or whatever
Supposedly the trend of friendly alien movies (E.T. being the best example) was supposed to make the American public and, eventually, the global movie going audience more open to the idea of alien contact. The government/illuminati/whatever had Spielberg make those movies in preparation for when aliens were finally revealed, though obviously they had had contact with aliens for a while.
I AGREE. I think they are lazy and without imaginaitons. afraid to step outside the formula of what they kno whas made them money before. ffs just look at the cinema poster movie poster things they use to advertise the move. theyre allways axaclty the fucking same. two or three "hot" looking girls and a couple of poster bot guys all stanig in the same pose as the last movie poster all with some stupid shitty attitude look on their faces.
its literally all the same shit over and over and over again and again
The only ones i know of are:
In Signs the aliens are metaphors for demons of hell
In 2001 the monolith makes the observer transcend into a higher intellect, but when Dave spent his whole life with it he became something even greater
In Courage the Cowardly dog, Nowhere is a metaphor for earth, Courage is an angel trying to keep the demons away from the humans
Rango Unchained is a metaphor for tooth decay (Black killing loads of white, especially in candyland)
I might be able to think of more i've heard
Will post if i do
>In Courage the Cowardly dog, Nowhere is a metaphor for earth, Courage is an angel trying to keep the demons away from the humans
courage is just a dog. nowhere is just his house because he cannot fathom the world outside his home. the monsters are just strangers he doesnt know.
After finishing "Eyes Wide Shut" Stanley Kubrick was killed by the elite because he depicted their secret activities.
Sandor Szavost -> George Soros
Victor Ziegler -> Nelson Rockefeller
Zbigniew Brzezi?ski + his daughter Mika Brzezinski -> Milich (eastern european costume shop owner) + his daughter
Yeah, and I said that was because they want to sell tickets all over the world - so the movies are as bland and generic as possible. We can't expect Jens and Stavros to try to comprehend anything more advanced than "that guy hates this guy, and they have guns."
I saw this show the other day, I don't know if there's a conspookacy about it bt it creeped me the fuck out. That's definitely not for children. I mean, it's depressing
, the old guy is clearly a psycho and the lady is stupid although nice. The dog is always terrified, and he's always put in fucked up situations. If I had watched that show as a kid, I know it would have scarred me.
This is true. With the ridiculously inflated budgets of summer blockbusters these days, overseas money is incredibly important. These are the types of movies that translate well with international audiences.
Some guy posted this a few days ago in a thread about predator.
Well of course there's the Andrew W.K. conspiracy theories.
That he's not real, etc.
I don't know all that much about the proposed theories, to be honest, so anyone with further information, please dish.
As odd as it sounds, this is really very believable. A lot of movies, TV shows, and video games are about the exploits of secret operatives with a little (or a lot of) embellishment.
Something else a lot of people don't know? The King of Fighters series is based on what goes on between two rival secret societies. The games are used to periodically apprise members of what's been going on.
In case this hasn't been said already. Kubrick did not stage the moon landing, the entire idea behind that was a joke documentary that was shown to college students who didn't get that it was a joke. and so the rumor spread. Common, there's enough weird sublimity in the shining already let's not add to it
Supposedly AWK is simply an actor who acts out a character created by a person or group of people who remains unknown.
There's a really informative website about it, just search about "Steev Mike" and you'll get answers.
You're a fucking faggot and Courage the Cowardly dog is leaps and bounds better than bullshit like Uncle Grandpa or even The Regular show that are obviously about drugs and stoners.
I'm just saying it was better than something that is just a writers acid trip shat out through retarded characters.
>And so are you
I'm not the one saying I would have been emotionally scarred by a fucking kids cartoon from the 90's.
Sorry i didn't see your post 8 hours ago 4chan x is acting up a little and isn't updating like it's supposed to.
i've found this here some days ago. Google the name if you don't know the story. Quite weird but nothing really relevant I guess
Okay little more info
what i heard was that Andrew WK was allegedly 'created' by turner broadcasting as purely a commercial venture. He is portrayed by an actor. His music is all produced by multiple artists. His entire life is completely fabricated.
Whether or not its true, is up for debate. There are stories about him and his early work from high school.
/mu/ probably knows more.
As I've heard it, due to the enormous budgets expected in blockbuster movies and the rise of movie pirating, Hollywood won't take ANY chances at all, since there's so little profit to movies generally. Not sure if it's true, but that's what I've heard
