I made a thread on /B/ and they kept telling me that this was a thread for you /X/philes. So here goes...
Earlier today while walking we found an abandoned barn with weird stuff. Bones nailed to walls. Discolored stained tarps. Couple of chairs. A weird container. a bit of discharged shotgun shells. Two dead dogs laying around and someone said they looked preserved decently. All kinds of weird shit. We live on the outskitoutskirts of a decent sized town in northeastern KS 913.
Some ribs laying around. In the original pic you can see the tarp at the base of the beam.
Sorry I am trying to keep up with B as of now I still have more pics. I also want to go back tomorrow
I might add more to this thread when I get the pics and get out safely
No it was a pretty aired out thing. No distinct smells. It was a pretty open air barn with a rusted out roof.
Thank you for the responses we are definitely going back tomorrow. I plan on getting close up pictures of more things. Last picture I habe for the night. We plan on poking around a bit more tomorrow. Seeing what is under the tarp.
We did run into some joggers on our way out. They acted like they knew how to get to the barn and knew it was totally abandoned. Nothing they said alluded to them knowing there was creepy stuff in it. They went in and checked anyway.
This is disheartening. We plan on exploring the are and putting up a deer cam in the area too. We named this operation dark sky and our kill switch as of now is turning everything over to the authorities.
They don't really look like human bones. A few of the bones have a head, which indicates a ball and socket joint (which could only either be a femur or humerus). The bones in the pictures are too small (unless they belong to a deformed child) to be human.
This photo reminds me of a scene from Wolf Creek or something... Like he/she nailed whatever to that post by the back bone and just let it die there and as it decayed the nailed bones remained. i dunno... just putting ideas out there.

Some of those bones look like they definitely came from dog. Source: Googled dog skeletons. Definitely should get a better look tomorrow
do the dead dogs have discernible wounds
apart from the dead dogs this sounds like a fairly run of the mill, if a tad messy, hunter's hangout/skinning spot. a structure is good for hanging kills to let the blood drain out.
Best pic is on the OP
On the floor beside the white chair, paw prints?
Try to see if there's an expiration date on that can, might give some insight on how long ago this stuff took place.
You said there's a tarp? Who knows what type of shit could be under there.....maybe the entrance to the guy's lair, oooooooooo
Anxiously awaiting the update.
Looks like a old First Aid box from the 60s, from the looks of it the top is missing and so is the containers that would be on the inside. Did you find any form of old medical supplies lying about. Or any evidence that they may have been used there? On the dogs or bones maybe?
We are still alive. Will start dumping soon. Here is one to stave off hunger. It appears to have a nice gash in front of the hind leg.
is this place like in the middle of nowhere or close to a village or a trailer park? (sorry i don't know kansas at all) does anyone know anything about this or seen something strange?
Outskirts of town. About a ten minute walk from a neighborhood of decent size.
>Why doesn't OP just call the cops?
"Yes, Police. I was trespassing and found some dead dog. No, it's dead. Probably been dead for years. Where was I trespassing? My name? Look, the dog it is really, really, really dead. No. No, I have not been drinking."
this is hilarious, watching you guys all try to come up with an explanation for it.
those are coyotes, the bones on the walls are possibly coyotes, but my guess would be deer leg bones. you can see this shit in old small abandoned barns all over the country. the two mummified coyotes, they might be using the barn for shelter. they could have died from anything, from starvation to run of the mill canine illness. parvo can wipe them out pretty quickly.
as for nailing bones to the wall, i've seen people do that. nail up deer legs. they might have meant to do something with them, but just never came back and did it. the scattered bones on the floor might be the result of said coyotes denning up there, bringing parts of carcasses back.
but a cult sacrificing dogs, or some dog serial killer... that's just hilarious that is the thing you guys come up with.
>but a cult sacrificing dogs, or some dog serial killer... that's just hilarious that is the thing you guys come up with.
This is bait
This whole post screams "I get paid to do this"
my theory is still edgy teens but you see we want to get excited too. would you rather a simple explanation to all this or a more complex, exciting one? most people choose the second. i personally dont really want to solve this, the thrill is in the hunt
>Implying I would ever go to the police with matters of any real importance
I'm not an idiot
But don't worry OP, theyre more scareder of you than you are of them
You MAY have to sacrifice one of your mates, but that's okay, no one will hold you against it.
I live in NY, it was weird cause it was in a really small area that runs between a pretty suburban area, also an abandoned church like a minute away from there on a main road though
