Guys, If a time machine has been invented and only a small number of people out there know about it how would i go about finding those people?
You invent a betting game were people have to predict random numbers to get a huge payout.
It hasn't. Sorry, but time-travel no realz. Time no realz. Time just model. Model not reality, just model. Past is not back, future not forward. No up, down, forward or backward time. Just model to chronologically place events. Just model to measure changes.
This is something i have become very interested in. I am trying to research this myself. Its hard to find serious people. If you are interested in talking further email me.
What do you think UFOs are OP? Why hasn't their tech advanced over 1000s of years? If you were a time traveler you couldn't interact with people, only observe...
What the fuck are you talking about? There is no such thing as a "Timeline". It's a concept we use to describe a series of events, it doesn't actually exist.
Fuck sake people. I give up.
You can't travel back in time least you have some enormous crazy convoluted machine that can only transport you to when you first completed the machine. Theoretically you can travel to another parallel universe that is near identical to ours but running at slightly slower pace. There you could change shit with no ill effect since "their" future is not set.
uh presumably by combing through old photos and films, looking for one person that looks "kind of weird" or who is acting "out of place," well there you go now you've found your time traveler with rock-solid fucking proof because as we all know, nobody ever acted or dressed weird or out of place at all, ever, before 1990
You can't fuck up the timeline.
If you are alive enough to go back in time and kill your grandfather, there are possible scenarios:
1. He survives
2. He's not your grandfather
The grandfather paradox may not actually be real.
There is no possible way of going back in time and stopping World War 2. You can go back in time, say you're a time traveler, give them all the info you can, but the fact that the future existed where you could even do such a thing means that it happened.
The only ones inventing a theory based on OP's image are you two. You can't start a thread without an image and OP chose that one, he never said anything about using it as evidence of time traveling. It's a popular image, but it doesn't mean posting it automatically implies that you believe this man was a time traveler.
You can travel in time, but you'll age appropriately. Go back and you get younger, fast forward and you age rapidly.
The fact is that the timeline corrects itself. Also it is closely monitored. Anyone going through time is tracked.
Other advanced beings can do this, but they can't really change anything. It goes back like an elastic band.
Mandela effect should be counted.
The whole point he was trying to make was that in our timeline everything that happened before now already happened. IF there is a way to go back in time, then everything you do back there already happened. Therefore, you can't change the past by going back in time and doing things, because you already did that and it didn't change anything.
The train of thought is completely correct if we work under the premise that time travel is going back into our own timeline.
But, most representations of time travel in our culture either specifies that they're actually going into a different dimension is currently engrossed in events that already happened in our timeline OR they don't explain it at all because they want people to enjoy it rather then over-analyze the concept of time travel.
Statistically, at most you will know a person who will know a person who will know a person who will know a person who will know a person who will know a person in the group. Give or take one or two. There's usually at most 6 degrees of separation between any given two people.
i wish i could stop killing threads.
i fucking hate people like you.
the consciousness doesn't want to return to nothingness, not here it doesn't.
anyway have you ever considered that the universe would only allow a change to take place if it was actually an improvement? and that if an improvement was found, it would force whoever thought of the improvement to implement it?
>im writing a book
>i basically retconned all of existence into it.
>its basically heavenhell, where humans are just allowed to do what they want, with the good people ruling over the normies, and the shit people being given power equal to the good, but fucking blocked off with a giant ass cliff thousand of miles tall.
but then i woke up as a buddha for the universe to tell me its real and now im too scared of both writing the book and not.
im not sure how many times we've done this.
im also not sure if i've ever actually finished, or even actually attempted to write the book in any previous incarnations, but i know i've started now.
the universe is split into the half that wants to come into the new cycle and the other half that wants to dissipate or condense into nothingness.
there will be dragons, magic, and cake.
while i enjoy and appreciate this world as much as i can, and have found much gratification, mine is literally so much better.
1980? Everything was bbs back then with chat boards with only ansii text- literally could not have been in 1980; what is up with your pic? 4chan only became a thing with the futa style ch board system in 2003 and you expect me to believe this was in 1980? What type of time is your shit set if this is real and why didnt your internet update to the global atomic clock?
>would totally travel back to bbs days and get l337 h4x0r stuff.
You've never sat around listening to a 2800 baud modem scream as it tried to connect.
Fuck, when 14.4 hit it was like the gods themselves had blessed the birthing of the Web.
Those days were a chore.
