For a completely uninitiated plebian, what would be the easiest way to touch something otherworldly? In other words, what is the best way to get personal proof of the paranormal?
I don't want to waste time just to become a foil hat paranoid with no hard evidence, all I want is a bit of proof that not everything on this board is bullshit. Just the tiniest bit of proof is enough, so what's the best way to find it?
hard proof is the antithesis of occult, not sure what you even want but we don't have it
just go practice lucid dreaming or something, but you probably lack the patience to do that either
Can we just, like, seriously talk about deja-vu? Like, I've experienced it so much now that I don't even register when it's happening anymore. If my lobes were out of sync that often, I'd be dead. And, I can remember when I first felt like I saw the thing I am experiencing deja vu about. Hell, it's even kept me out of trouble a few times, and has functioned as an almost future sight. If that's my lobes being out of sync, I want to know what happens when they're separated.
I can tell you're looking for something simple, requiring little effort but, something producing substantial results, well, look no further.
All you need is your mind, and some marijuana, together these provide the tools needed for you, and together they make most sure you'll experience what you currently consider to be the otherworldly.
Watch your mind for a time, let any thought arise, making sure that you are not focusing upon the thought itself, but knowing the thought as immaterial, without effect; it is a child's drawing of smoke and mirrors, it is nothing even compared to the show of a stage magician, watch closely the illusionist, to dispel the illusion and have them soon revealing their tricks to you.
You will reach a number of stages throughout your session. The wild mind will perpetuate the spirit between thought and not-thought. It will fight for thought; let it fight by watching it writhe whilst in a mode of peace. Let thought arise like cigarette smoke, and let it dispel as such; If you are successful, the plateau you touch is as if repeating static shocks, due to the attempts of mind to procure the sense of mindlessness; it is, we are assured, the only logical paradox to be attained.
Patience? You don't fucking talk to me about patience, kid. You've though about eternity for twenty-five minutes and thought you've come to some interesting conclusions? I've got about twelve years of studying magick, shamanism and parapsychology behind me and I couldn't give a fuck about your internet-assembled philosophies. Come back when you have something real to offer.
The easiest way to experience the paranormal is to pray to god or devil. They will answer. One will show you good the other will fuck your shit up good.
Dumbfuck your brain has been programmed to perceive reality a certain way. The line between insight and intuition is thin. You can slowly alter your mind through ritual, meditation CBT whatever but you can damn sure blow it wide open with drugs and at least get a sample.
ermagerd that chick would be so hot if she didn't have them degenerate tattoo's and didn't smoketh the tobaccky and didn't have that degenerate mongrel pootch needs a germen shepard and ddin't have degerate cussin on her shirt and didn't have degenerate black libstick on lol ok im done :D
>Something threw a rock
>I heard the sound it made
Taking psychoactives shows the individual spirit just what the mind is capable of, how it can see things without first knowing them.
You don't need to take drugs like marijuana before you realize this; those who experience pleasurable, ejaculatory dreams know the power the fleshy mind holds over the nervous system, thus it knows the power it holds over the physical reality.
Read Illuminatus!, Prometheus Rising, Jaques Valee Gospel of Thomas, and a lot of PKD (pic related). Listen to Alan Watts Bill Cooper,, McKenna and Mark Passio. Watch Century of Self and a lot of Herzog. Jung.
Mushrooms, very good if you can be in the forest.
Do Bardon and Carrol beginner excercises. Meditate for hours. Walk a lot, explore routes and paths. Construct a new routine and habits.
everyone can experience everything family no one's putting shackles on you
Raymond Moody, Jr. (born 1944) a psychiatrist wrote Reunions: Visionary Encounters With Departed Loved Ones
In the Introduction to this book he states that while he was browsing in a bookstore, a book called 'Crystal Gazing' fell at his feet, and it intrigued him. "Through the book I became excited at the possibilities of mirror gazing... This book and the additional research made me realize that visions of departed loved ones were far more accessible than had previously been believed... I began to wonder, could mirror gazing allow apparitions to be created in a controlled setting, where scientists could actually watch a person seeing a ghost? It was an exciting notion, to be sure... I also decided to conduct an informal study in which I took a number of people through the process of mirror gazing... mirror gazing allows people to see the spirits of departed relatives virtually anytime they want. Which means, of course, that the experience can be studied in a laboratory setting. For the first time, scientists can watch as someone 'sees' a ghost. No longer will scientists have to wait for the experience to happen spontaneously and then attempt to study the event afterward."
"I realize how people can assume that these apparitional facilitations are hallucinations... I can say that my visionary reunion with my grandmother was completely coherent with the ordinary waking reality that I have experienced all my life. If I were to discount this encounter as hallucinatory, I would almost be obliged to discount the rest of my life as hallucinatory too." (Pg. 22)
"I feel that mirror visions also give clues to the contents of the unconscious mind. Since the images seen in the speculum are largely creations of the mind of the seer, they constitute what may be called a projective test... Such a test might be very useful in evaluating a client's state of mind." (Pg. 127)
Here is what happened to me, out of pure morbid curiosity at the time.
Go to the middle of absolute nowhere, anywhere that is accessible. Land that may not have been touched for hundreds of years.
National Park or no, if you have access then you're surely to find somewhere you aren't welcome.
This is particularly easy to accomplish if you're in the UK or Scotland and I can't really speak for anywhere else in the world but it worked for me, that's why I'm writing it.
Go where you feel like you're not welcome, resist the urge to move away. Anywhere closed off, a nook in the trees, an abandoned adit. Anything that doesn't get touched, even by animals.
I can't tell you what exactly you will find as it seems to vary.
What I can tell you is that it is definitely a mistake, and probably not worth your time.
when i experience deja-vu i always think ive saw something similar to a dream i had but wont remember it would be a similar event taken place during the exact moment of a deja-vu feeling that your brain will remember a previous dream you had that has similar properties to the deja-vu event your currently in but then your brain will fill in the blanks of the dream you wont remember and make it feel like you had a past experience of the event taking place without actually remember how you feel this this event has tooken place before boom deja-vu explained
>have weird dream about some game you've never seen before being played on your school playground
>a year passes
>suddenly the game is actually being played on your school's playground.
id recommend someone looking for experiences to go into nature as well.
the more remote the better, honestly it may take time for some people to notice certain things, but for instance there are quicker paths potentially
isolation and dealing with the subconscious is always a worthwhile challenge, if you are prepared to face it
the other os suggested by this poster, dealing with fear. if you spend time in nature, even if you have no unusual experience in your regular activities, being away from people, in nature can be confronting enough to up your primal awareness.
the longer you spend in nature/away from civ, no matter your personality, it os only a matter of time before you start to notice things you cant explain.
also dealing with fear may be one thing, but you will also, overtime, begin to be aware of danger, dangerous circumstances, stuff like that. how long it takes is up to you. even if you never find belief in anything "paranormal" you will find your time away from society worthwhile, if you challenge yourself
the best advice anyone can give you,
take water. know where you are. treat everything with respect.
If you're serious OP, you can develop some entry level "siddhis" by following an occult system. Initiation Into Hermetics is one of the most straightforward guides out there (inb4 edgy contrarian Bardon haters get triggered).
Go out, let yourself be enslaved by four young gothic witches, let them use your thirst for proof to play in Terra Materia Minima, sex, lust, drugs and irresponsibility on such a level you will all feel utterly disgusted, drained, drowned, filthy, full of hate and anger...fall into thyself and after many years of total desolate darkness, rituals, madness, spiritual selfmutilation and personal uselessness, WAKE THE FUCK UP!
To finally rediscover at an old age that what you already have is more proof then any desire for mystery, wonder, dogma's or higher purposes in life then being you.....that your love, your breath, your life and every word you Spoke, thought, screamed, yelled or cried is you....that you are your own answer, yet your insecurity and selfpity drives you towards empty fullfillments and proverbial sins ( not to a GOD) but yourself....then you will have your proof....about 1 minute before you die....
Or turn around now and be you.....stop being scared of you, (laugh all you want.....)
Oh and learn about how the brain works....it is all studied and explained...
You are being Deja vued by yourself, not the world around you...so in other words you are being fooled by your brain...
What are abrahamics doing on a paranormal forum, isn't that a sin and the works of ye olde ha-satan..to meddle in godly affairs....or are you fellons trying to save (IYV) lost souls?
The golden calf, the phillistines, the 13th clan, nephilim, the tower build to conquer ur heavens.
How does your GOD give proof, by faith....faith is without proof or it would be factual, which it is not....your GOD is a Deja vu by your own mind, so your mind is fooling you into absorbing what has been said/written before and adjusts your reality to that shape...1 giant clusterfuck called faith by hearsay and mindfucks...that is no proof...sorry.
>touch something otherworldly
In one of the Smithsonians, they have a moon rock that anyone can touch. It's not made out of cheese. Good luck!
It's not a great looking copy, but it's definitely readable.
It is quite strange the fact that you can experience something that feels familiar. Almost like a glitch or skip of time and your brain processes something that already occurred.
There is an abandoned insane asylum in my town. They recently found a mass grave of patients that were buried after a fire killed most of the patients. Most people think its haunted and a few people have claimed to see things.
A small amount of studying required for this one.
It is invoking your deepest fears with no protection.
Ask for someone to break down the steps for you who is 'in the know' in lame-mans terms;
Learn banishing beforehand.
do research about the Illuminati and government corruption
and if you get close enough to the truth someone (usually a lizard) will eventually use vodoun on you
sort of like how James Holmes was hypnotized into shooting up a movie theater
(The female Lion King opening day in China)
Oh! Rion King! ^o^
Inspiring the cross over... "Hell-0 Rion King"
Most of what I'm saying is that some people look like other people...
...and also... The Bible.
